One can only praise the chef (Tal) highly. You can taste the fact that he completed his training with Paul Bocuse. A bright spot in an otherwise gastronomic "desert". And the ambience - cozy! [Update July 2023] Tal is no longer there, but the cuisine is still very good - for example, the "cucumber soup with cumin" is very tasty! And, for romantically inclined people, there is definitely no better location within a 20 kilometer radius if you want to hang out at the blue hour.

As part of the "Music Highlights of Hans Zimmer & Others" event at Heidelberg Castle, Martin Scharff and his team once again provided us with a great summery 3-course menu in the castle wine bar as well as accompanying wines and other drinks.

A nice little hotel in the middle of the “old town” of Neustadt. We are completely satisfied with the friendly service and the central location. A parking lot is not far away and inexpensive. The wake-up call (the sound of the cathedral bells) is included in the reasonable hotel price. The breakfast is excellent - everything freshly prepared and served at the table. Simply wonderful and recommended - that's what our little four-legged friend thinks too.

We were really looking forward to the Überfahrt restaurant, which was recently awarded one star. The reception was not only professional but also very warm. The non-vegetarian dinner, which was ordered twice, fully corresponded to a star cuisine. Unfortunately, the vegetarian menu was only impressive in its presentation and decoration. Five courses were ordered, two of which were simply inedible and were returned to the kitchen almost untouched. The obvious thing to do would have been to ask what we thought was wrong with the dishes - unfortunately there was no answer. The cauliflower in nut butter and parsley was so salty, which was due to the fatty espuma and creams. Furthermore, the vegetarian version lacked texture, as the entire menu was just strained and foamed ingredients. Simply, the menu consisted exclusively of side dishes. The artichoke with goat curd was massively sour, which overwhelmed the whole dish and the artichoke itself tasted of nothing. The pricing doesn't stand out at all compared to the non-vegetarian menu, which we found very irritating and unjustified. It is not obvious that Norway snaffon or rabbit with cauliflower and artichokes do not add up to the food costs and therefore the price is completely exorbitant. There's no point in designing the plates, no matter how beautifully crafted. At the end of the meal, Ms. Fischer came out of the kitchen and brought us a box of various desserts. At this point at the latest, we would have expected the star chef to personally find out how the food arrived. Unfortunately this didn't happen. We wish the young chef all the best for the future and a more balanced palate.

The restaurant reopened on September 16, 2020 after a break of almost 6 months. Maybe that was also the reason for the failed performance. In any case, I have to strongly advise against it for the following reasons. Time: Ordered 4 of 7 courses with wine accompaniment. Dinner took a whopping 5.5 hours. This is absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable. The dishes were all cleverly prepared, impeccably prepared with the finest ingredients, even if not everything met my personal taste. The wine pairing was disappointing. Not only were the wines served much earlier than the food, but the quality/quantity of the wines could have been better considering the price (45 EUR for 4 x 0.1L). I'm also not sure if it was really 0.1L. When we finally got the bill after 5.5 hours at half past midnight, completely exhausted, I was shocked by the price of 9 EUR for a 0.75 liter bottle of water. That's sick! If you spend over 300 EUR on the meal, you can expect to be given a jug of still water for free. This is absolutely outrageous. Especially since we're not talking about any Himalayan mountain spring water, but about seltzer. I'm sorry, but we will never visit this restaurant again and I can also advise all other guests to look for other star restaurants.

Hi Folks, Messe - Biofach und am 14.02. Abends essen gehen, wohin als Weitgereister, klar ins Restaurant Koch und Kellner, nun, es ist Sinne berührend, es ist himmlisch, es wird mit Leidenschaft erklärt, gekocht, serviert und man spürt die Unendlichkeit der Genussmöglichkeiten. Das Valentinsmenü, mit den begleitenden Weinen, wundervolle Komposition, mehr geht einfach nicht, Danke das es Euch gibt und jederzeit wieder, ich konnte mit Euch bei meiner Begleitung -Punkten- ja wir werden wieder erscheinen, ach ja, wir warten nun auch nicht bis zum nächsten Valentinstag, es wird früher erfolgen.

Unfortunately the price performance doesn't match at all. With a Michelin star, I not only expect exquisite sounding courses, but also actually good tasting food. I was invited to a business fine dinner there, so I didn't have to pay for it myself. But I advised the organizer not to book at the Farm Haus again. Not a single one of the courses blew me away. Only rare types of preparation, such as dehydrating and re-hydrogenation, do not turn a zucchini into a delicacy. The homemade miso made the meal too salty in several courses. The fish was okay, the steak was unexciting and unimaginatively prepared. My table neighbors and I actually ordered the fresh farmer's bread several times because it actually tasted better than most courses. But the wines were very good! 1 star and 1 Green Star Guide Michelin for Fine Dine & 1 Green Star for à la carte are completely incomprehensible to me. And it would only be understandable if all the cooks were sick that day.

The atmosphere and service was good and the plating looks nice. However, the food was too salty for our taste especially the miso eggplant which was so salty that is it is inedible
