Excellent service. The sommelier's wine selection enhances the evening with perfectly coordinated accompaniment. The team is not only excellently trained, but also puts their hearts into the matter. The service is humorous, individual and professional -- just as masterful as the cuisine itself.
Wonderful little hotel, located in the middle of Neustadt and right on the market square.
Great breakfast and very nice staff.
Unfortunately, this hotel does not have an elevator or other options to get to the first and second floors.
The restaurant reopened on September 16, 2020 after a break of almost 6 months. Maybe that was also the reason for the failed performance. In any case, I have to strongly advise against it for the following reasons.
Time: Ordered 4 of 7 courses with wine accompaniment. Dinner took a whopping 5.5 hours. This is absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable. The dishes were all cleverly prepared, impeccably prepared with the finest ingredients, even if not everything met my personal taste. The wine pairing was disappointing. Not only were the wines served much earlier than the food, but the quality/quantity of the wines could have been better considering the price (45 EUR for 4 x 0.1L). I'm also not sure if it was really 0.1L. When we finally got the bill after 5.5 hours at half past midnight, completely exhausted, I was shocked by the price of 9 EUR for a 0.75 liter bottle of water. That's sick! If you spend over 300 EUR on the meal, you can expect to be given a jug of still water for free. This is absolutely outrageous. Especially since we're not talking about any Himalayan mountain spring water, but about seltzer.
I'm sorry, but we will never visit this restaurant again and I can also advise all other guests to look for other star restaurants.
Yesterday we went to the wine bar with a group of 5 people. The food itself was good, but the service was subpar. The bread with butter was served after the soup, the wine we ordered didn't even come with the intended course (we gave you three chances). The food was put on the table very lustfully, no explanation, not even when asked.
Unfortunately, communication wasn't good either
Next time please refuse the reservation so that we are completely overwhelmed by ruining the evening.
Unfortunately we weren't the only guests who experienced this...
We were there for the first time and enjoyed a very good meal/7 course menu with perfect flavor coordination.
The selection of drinks is great and very extensive.
The service was excellent and the boss had perfect knowledge of the wines.
What softens the overall impression: Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities of a star restaurant are not adequate.
Empty wine bottles on the window sills and wine boxes on the way to the toilet don't look very elegant.
The service is nothing short of wonderful. May God grant you good health
But I wish the food order could be prepared faster, because it takes an hour for it to be ready 😥🌸
Probably the worst Michelin experiences i’ve had.
Food was okay at best. I had a Salmon with 0 flavor, hard to explain but it tasted like water but not good water. I had a bird (can’t remember exact type) that was cooked dry, and a couple dishes I just couldn’t finish.
Wine, first Michelin ive ever been to without a wine pairing option. Even then ordering individuals they had limited by the glass options, and what they did advertise was just all of their own brand. No sommelier on site and waiter knew nothing about the wines.
Pace and service; the pace was terribly slow. The dishes are tapas size so finish quickly and then a LONG gap before next course, it was very unbalanced. Also there were multiple dishes that were just dropped off with no explanation, this is a very common thing in Michelins.
I would maybe consider this a nice regular restaurant, but in terms of Michelin standards I think it is quite terrible and would not pay Michelin prices again for this.
