The hotel is fairly priced, and we chose it to end our holiday with a special meal. While the team was friendly and enthusiastic, there seemed to be a lack of experienced management, which affected the flow and attention to detail. Service started off slow — 45 minutes for a glass of wine, 60 minutes for the first course — though things improved later in the evening as we were the last to arrive. The food itself was good, and the staff clearly cared, but translation/knowlegde could use improvement. We were surprised on arrival that our booking hadn’t been processed yet. A flyer advertised a stay + 5-course dinner for €399, but we ended up paying €650 for a night: €100 p.p. for a wine pairing (5 x 100ml, no aperitif), €16 for two bottles of water, and no final bite as promised. It all fell short and we were happy we had a bite before hand at the kebab store with the kids. At checkout, we weren’t the only ones confused by the bill. We heard more complaints like we had experienced ourselves. So hotel: yes, worth your while. Restaurant, although kind service and good food: spend your money elsewhere. Sorry for the staff, but management: read the reviews and work on this. (Price/quantity!) it does have the potential as you promote it.

Lovely guesthouse with good beds and luxurious rooms, very extensive breakfast. Star restaurant, quality price good. Dogs are allowed, price for 1 dog per night is over the top!

Very, very good food. The service is simply top-notch; they explain what each course is and what's included. It's expensive, but that's to be expected from a Michelin-starred restaurant. It's worth a visit.

Excellent food, wine, and service.

It was a lovely evening, with a relaxed atmosphere for Michelin-starred cuisine. The food was delicious and refined, with their own wines to accompany it. However, compared to our usual experiences, it wasn't 5 stars. The food came too quickly for us, so we asked for some time between courses (we were there from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., longer than other guests).

Probably the worst Michelin experiences i’ve had. Food was okay at best. I had a Salmon with 0 flavor, hard to explain but it tasted like water but not good water. I had a bird (can’t remember exact type) that was cooked dry, and a couple dishes I just couldn’t finish. Wine, first Michelin ive ever been to without a wine pairing option. Even then ordering individuals they had limited by the glass options, and what they did advertise was just all of their own brand. No sommelier on site and waiter knew nothing about the wines. Pace and service; the pace was terribly slow. The dishes are tapas size so finish quickly and then a LONG gap before next course, it was very unbalanced. Also there were multiple dishes that were just dropped off with no explanation, this is a very common thing in Michelins. I would maybe consider this a nice regular restaurant, but in terms of Michelin standards I think it is quite terrible and would not pay Michelin prices again for this.

A restaurant with a cozy, dimly lit dining room and a pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed our dinner very much and enjoyed every moment with our dog. The staff is exceptional, friendly, and professional. The chef is extremely friendly and visits the tables to inquire about customer feedback. The dishes were elaborate and well-presented, with somewhat unique flavors, but overall we enjoyed them, accompanied by a brilliant wine from their generous wine cellar. The time between courses was adequate in a star-studded restaurant with a menu with several courses and a reasonable total price, knowing that these types of restaurants have a certain quality and service that they must maintain, and we must pay for it.

The atmosphere and service was good and the plating looks nice. However, the food was too salty for our taste especially the miso eggplant which was so salty that is it is inedible

I really don't get negative reviews here, if someone is complaining about the price or waiting between the dishes- then clearly they don't understand the concept of michelin star restaurant. If the dishes would have been served one after another, how should we fit all seven dishes? 😌 Very nice place, super competent and lovely waiters. Amazing food composition and wain pairing. Everything as it should be in restaurant with the star. I could definitely recommend.

Everything is super salty, it increases the risk of kidney failure by 30% after one meal, and it's very expensive. If you insist on trying it, it will definitely cast a shadow on your trip to Germany.

We waited nearly 30 mins between courses. We sat down around 19:35 and finished just about midnight. The quality of the food was fine but not that great. A few dishes (Risotto and Goulash) were so salty it ruined our Carillon Angelus wine. We spent over €970 for a dinner for four but were very disappointed. The head waiter also seemed pushy asking for tip. We hardly believed this was a Michelin Star restaurant.

Went for the 7 course holiday dinner. It took a long and painful 3.5 hours from start to finish for what was good but largely average quality food. We seldom saw a waiter throughout the evening and at one point waited nearly a full hour between courses with no explanation from our waitstaff. The experience would have been better had the staff not visibly neglected our corner of the restaurant throughout the night.

When staying in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a visit to the Mittermeier restaurant should definitely be planned and reserved in advance. Beautiful, modern location: a casual atmosphere, great ambience, excellent cuisine and first-class service characterize this place. The 9 courses and 3 additional courses of the complete culinary symphony were real works of art, were perfectly presented and tasted great. The wine accompaniment, mostly wines from the local area, was perfectly matched to each individual course. We enjoyed a very nice evening here, great ambience and hospitality, attentive service and, above all, great food. Thank you for the lovely time with you. We'd love to come back.

Extremely creative 5, 7 or 9 course menu that surprises and fascinates me every time. The regularly changing dishes mean that there is always variety, even on frequent visits. For me, every visit is special and I always feel comfortable and in good hands with the attentive, courteous and friendly service. The kitchen is of a very high standard, which would definitely justify a higher price, so in terms of price-performance it is an absolute recommendation! I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

The menu consists of 9 dishes of which you choose 5 or 7 or simply take them all. For each dish you will receive a small card with a photo from one of the employees and a detailed description of the dish. All dishes were super tasty so difficult. If I go for 1 dish, it will be the scallop with chanterelles. The wine accompaniment comes in normal or sommelier's choice. The sommeliers choice was more than excellent with (mainly) local wines. Good service. We had a great evening

An unexpected experience: a set of well-harmonized and balanced flavours. Chose the 7 course menu. The dish that thrilled me the most was the salmon which seemed like a journey through the northern seas to the oriental flavors of China and Japan! The celery broth served as an amuse bouche is also fantastic. The two vegetarian dishes are intense: the carrot with a cooking method that extracts the water and then gives it back through a concentrate of carrot juice combined with plums; crispy asparagus seared on the grill with sublime elegance and delicacy. The sommelier is good, I would pay a little more attention to the service, avoiding assembling plates and glasses like a pizzeria, but if I were a Michelin inspector I would give a star straight away, well deserved.

Food very good! Friendly staff and very suitable wines for every dish. For us it's a unique experience because the prices are very high and the guests are somehow floating on another level!

Wonderful 5 or 7 course tasting menu and wine pairing choices. Head waiter is sadly pushing menu selection, tripadv requests and tip begging way too aggressively, making some guests uncomfortable or guilt tripped. Atmosphere, taste and presentation is great.

Das Essen war ein Gedicht, hochwertig und die korrespondierenden Weine waren auch super. Hervorzuheben ist zudem der nette Service. Leider gibt es doch einen Stern Abzug. Der Preis ist schon ziemlich gesalzen und man muss sich bei seinem Date hierbei echt sicher sein. Alles in allem ein Daumen hoch für den Genuss, einen Daumen runter für das Portmonnaie!

Excellent eten. We kregen helaas wel wat weinig tijd om van de wijnen van het wijnarrangement te genieten.
