My wife set up a wonderful little eight day trip along the Romantic Road with our first stop being in the magical city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. After having drinks on the square, my wife and I walked around a bit more trying to find the perfect spot for dinner. We found this quaint little Greek/Mediterranean place hiding in the corner of the square just behind the church. The owner was friendly and made some great suggestions and advising us that we had ordered enough food as we were about to add another plate. Thank goodness for that as he was right. With the two dishes we ordered, we had plenty of food and wine. Everything was prepared perfectly and delicious. We split a perfect mixed tapas plate with a tomato and cucumber salad, Kalamata olives, Greek meatballs, pepperoncini, eggplant, and tzatziki with bread. The lightly fried calamari with French fries and tzatziki was outstanding. Proud to put this place on the map. Now, go enjoy!!!
Microscopic rooms with absurdly large beds, so there is nowhere to put your suitcase. The furnishings in the rooms have been worn down by time. Although there is a restaurant on the ground floor, it does not offer breakfast, so you have to go out to eat. You have to leave your car outside the city walls.
Delicious food and friendly service. Nice restaurant and inn in Rothenburg.
Only, unfortunately, got sick that night and sick the next day. Unfortunately ate something wrong. The chicken???
We were on vacation in the area and on our arrival day it was a little later and it was no longer easy to find a restaurant that was still open.
With a lot of luck we discovered the Bayerischer Hof and the friendly team cooked a delicious meal for us. The quality of the food is very good, everything was fresh and homemade. So it's still really old school. The ambience is also very nicely designed and attention is paid to the details.
Add to that a fresh Augustiner on tap and the nice exchange with the bosses, it couldn't be better!
Prost!
Nice Franconian-inspired restaurant with a small beer garden. Price performance was good. Funny, somewhat forgetful service. Still had a lot of fun.
Thanks for that.
Excellent service, the food was delicious, huge portions, nice atmosphere inside. If you're up for a pizza or pasta, you won't be disappointed. They also have local beers available.
We tried to reserve in advance in mid-January and received no response, only a confirmation of receipt. Then tried to contact us by phone. Unfortunately it wasn't possible either. What happened to us before with this restaurant. It said on the internet that it was open. So we went there. Result: Restaurant was closed, without information why and for how long. We won't come back again.
