My wife set up a wonderful little eight day trip along the Romantic Road with our first stop being in the magical city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. After having drinks on the square, my wife and I walked around a bit more trying to find the perfect spot for dinner. We found this quaint little Greek/Mediterranean place hiding in the corner of the square just behind the church. The owner was friendly and made some great suggestions and advising us that we had ordered enough food as we were about to add another plate. Thank goodness for that as he was right. With the two dishes we ordered, we had plenty of food and wine. Everything was prepared perfectly and delicious. We split a perfect mixed tapas plate with a tomato and cucumber salad, Kalamata olives, Greek meatballs, pepperoncini, eggplant, and tzatziki with bread. The lightly fried calamari with French fries and tzatziki was outstanding. Proud to put this place on the map. Now, go enjoy!!!
I booked a room in December 2024 through the hotel’s website, which clearly stated free cancellation was available up to 7 days before arrival. Wanting to upgrade to a larger room, I attempted to cancel my original booking a month in advance. Despite reaching out over three times via email and through the form on the website, I received no response.
Upon arrival, the hotel had no record of my cancellation, and I ended up with two bookings under my name. I raised this issue with the front desk, and after checking with their head office in Munich, I was told a refund for the first room would be processed within a week.
It has now been over four months, and I have yet to receive any refund or follow-up. Very disappointing service and lack of communication for what should have been a straightforward process.
Absolutely delicious Mexican food with a kids menu, super margaritas and yummy churros. Really friendly waiter who even whipped up the churros for us even though the kitchen had closed (we were late eating). Highly recommend.
Prost!
This restaurant is located directly at the idyllic "Tauberromantik" campsite. It serves good Franconian home-style cooking, as well as vegetarian options. We chose the Maultaschen (ravioli) with meat or vegetable filling and didn't regret it. Salads are available at the counter for self-serve, and the dressings are homemade.
The dining rooms were clean.
The server was very friendly and had good tips for us.
Fantastic atmosphere!! Food was absolutely incredible!!!! Service was awesome....our server gave great recommendations. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We tried to reserve in advance in mid-January and received no response, only a confirmation of receipt. Then tried to contact us by phone. Unfortunately it wasn't possible either. What happened to us before with this restaurant. It said on the internet that it was open. So we went there. Result: Restaurant was closed, without information why and for how long. We won't come back again.
