My wife set up a wonderful little eight day trip along the Romantic Road with our first stop being in the magical city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. After having drinks on the square, my wife and I walked around a bit more trying to find the perfect spot for dinner. We found this quaint little Greek/Mediterranean place hiding in the corner of the square just behind the church. The owner was friendly and made some great suggestions and advising us that we had ordered enough food as we were about to add another plate. Thank goodness for that as he was right. With the two dishes we ordered, we had plenty of food and wine. Everything was prepared perfectly and delicious. We split a perfect mixed tapas plate with a tomato and cucumber salad, Kalamata olives, Greek meatballs, pepperoncini, eggplant, and tzatziki with bread. The lightly fried calamari with French fries and tzatziki was outstanding. Proud to put this place on the map. Now, go enjoy!!!

The room was very clean, although it was small for the building. The breakfast was excellent, plentiful and delicious. Perfect location, 3-4 minutes from the market square, and a 3-4 minute walk from parking lot 5.

Klingengasse 12Fantastic!! I came here with my dad on our Europe motorcycle trip. There wasn’t many restaurants open at that time, so I found this on Google maps. We went and the food was great! A proper Indian restaurant in the middle of a German town, you’d never expect it lol. Service excellent, food excellent. 5 star

Ansbacher Str. 21On our return journey from the south, we stopped in Rotenburg an der Lahn to have dinner at the Bayerischer Hof on Sunday evening. We sat in the extremely cozy, lovingly and chicly decorated interior. Something you miss in many restaurants these days: a lot of heart and soul goes into it, be it the food or the ambiance. We received a level of attention you don't get elsewhere. The extremely delicious chanterelle cream soup was amazing, and I've rarely had such a delicious cordon bleue in years! Seasonally, they also offer a super-delicious cordon bleue with chanterelles. The homemade mayonnaise was very tasty! The owners were pet-friendly; our dachshund even got a bowl of water! Excellent value for money! We'd happily return!

Ob. Schmiedgasse 21What a wonderful "sorpresa" this Mexican restaurant. With delicious food: home-made Nachos with cheese (never had such a good nachos), tortitas de pollo that melt in the mouth, camarones al ajillo (never thought having shrimps in a tortita would be soooo good) and the hit was Quesabirrias, a local Sinaloa owner's mum's speciality. Service was perfect: fast, effective and thoughtful. Thanks for such a lovely evening.

Detwang 39The food there is incredibly delicious! Unfortunately, we only visited the restaurant on the last evening of our vacation, and I would have loved to stay another day just for that. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating. The food tastes like someone knows exactly what they're doing. It's not convenience food! The prices are also perfectly reasonable.
