Walk down the hill from Rotenburg ob der Tauber. And we were here live Music and food ok place.

Beer garden very nice, but the organization of the sale of drinks poor and the food even worse. Waited for hours for a sausage salad

Discovered by chance on my bike. We arrived 45 minutes before opening at 2:00 PM on a weekday, but still got delicious beers! Great! Relaxing view of the Tauber River—very nice beer garden.

Lovely park like setting by the river. Outdoor seating under the trees. Order at the window for simple dishes and beers. Food was excellent and the servers were very patient considering our bad german. Beautiful lunch in a sunny spot.

My family and I were in Rothenburg to spend a nice May Day. So we decided to visit a nice beer garden, the atmosphere is very nice, but we first stood at the food/drinks counter for 45 minutes only to be told afterwards that there was no more food available. Very unfortunate.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Queued for 1 hour at the food and drink counter to find out that no food was being served. Put up a sign there is no food? Remove food signs? I find it a disgrace.

Delicious food, great atmosphere right on the Tauber. The climb back to Rothenburg is not for those with foot problems ;-)

The establishment turned out to be closed. Apparently for the winter, but this was not indicated anywhere.

We were in Rothenburg on the way back from Italy and wanted to enjoy the beautiful ambience of this place again. After we had finished sightseeing in the city, we deliberately and specifically stopped here. Also on the recommendation of the actress Angelika Mann, who performed there in the summer with “Hot Times” 😍👍. A beautiful, large beer garden with self-service but very friendly hosts 🤩 and fair prices 👍. We felt really comfortable and ate/drinked well. Thank you very much. We are happy to recommend you.

Even though the beer garden is getting a bit old, we keep coming back. Because you sit idyllically in the middle of the countryside and in the shade of the trees with access to the Tauber. Since there is no fixed seating arrangement, different table sizes and arrangements are possible. The prices are ok for a beer garden, but the food is good. Only cash payment possible. There is a good selection of food, drinks and home-made cakes. Parking is a bit difficult but doable. Also popular with hikers and walkers. Events also take place there from time to time.

An incredibly beautiful and idyllic place with a beer garden and river to relax. The cakes taste very good. However, self-service is recommended for food/drinks. The prices are fair and the selection is sufficiently large. Due to its location close to nature, it is a nice place to relax/recover in summer and you can also quickly get to Rothenburg.

A little break from the festival

impudence. On Wednesday 14.8. closed, although Wednesday is not a day off. No reference to maps, nothing on the homepage and nothing by phone. Just a sign at the entrance. 5 km walk in the heat for the cat. They obviously don't care about their customers!

Nice beer garden with self-service. Beer more expensive than in the city. We wanted to buy 2 tarte flambées at an additional stall. Such unfriendly staff with rude answers... Never again...

On the green grass and by the river, you can leisurely taste local beer. The shop also offers cakes and pancakes to choose from. It's really relaxing.

This is our second time in Rothenburg in the summer and we always enjoy coming to this Wiesenwirtschaft. The beer is cold and tasty and the food is all very good. There are also great spritzers and there is a sandpit on site for entertainment for the little ones. You sit directly on the Tauber and can just enjoy nature. If you like, you can also go into the river. We've been here several times on vacation and always think it's great.

Nice “beer garden” in the countryside. The food also tasted great, but the organization in the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. Long waiting times at the SB. Kitchen is not prepared and the staff step on each other's toes in the small kitchen. I think it could definitely be organized better...

Such a wonderful beer garden! A children's paradise, close to nature, clean, cozy, by the water, under the trees, lots of meadow, friendly service, parking spaces are very close and unfortunately leaves a very big wish unfulfilled: Please also offer food for vegans, because everyone can benefit from it because it is delicious, varied, lactose-free and halal, simple and contemporary. Your chive sandwich with vegan butter...that would be a poem! Your salads with vegan vinaigrette and fried tofu cubes...that would be great🤓! Please continue with your great team. Good luck!

Very nice atmosphere, but very poor organization for a beer garden. Waiting an hour for food - no matter what kind of food, even a sandwich, that's actually unreasonable... We continued on without food...

Great spot, just below the high walls of Rothenburg, on a small stream. Lots of tasty food for little. Personal touch, when your food is ready the service shouts your name and you have to come and get the food.

As always, really great! A self-service beer garden. The food is really delicious, especially the cakes 🍰, the coffee is hot and the beer/fruit spritzer is tasty. Right on the Tauber, where you can let the kids play in it when the weather is good. There are also enough parking spaces around it... it's just fantastically beautiful here.

So ein schöner und einmaliger Biergarten. Direkt an der Tauber und ideal auch für Familien, da die Kinder im Fluss oder im großen Sandkasten spielen können. Eine unfassbar schöne Location direkt an der Tauber. Und ich MEINE direkt an der Tauber. Wenn man einen Tisch um zwei Meter verschiebt dann sitzt man drin 😂 Essen Und Getränke über Selbstbedienung zu durchschnittlichen Preisen. SEHR kindergeeignet. Schon alleine weil man in der Tauber auch planschen kann. Und einen Sandkasten gibt es auch. Gerade bei schönem Wetter ein Traum.

Das Essen war sehr frisch und sehr lecker 😋. Das Personal ist mehr als Freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Bier ist kalt. Besser kann ein Ausflug nicht sein.

Immer, wenn wir in Rothenburg sind, ist hier ein Besuch Standard. Leckeres Essen, nette Leute im Service und herrliche Ruhe. So richtig zum Entschleunigen. Mein Lieblingsplatz.

Sehr schöne Lage. Das Ausgabekonzept fürs Essen könnte mal überdacht werden.

Ein netter gemütlicher Biergarten. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind in der Nähe vorhanden. Auch ein gutes Ziel für Radfahrer und Wanderer. Das Essen kann man nur empfehlen. Am besten fand ich war das Schnittlauchbrot aber auch der Salat war frisch und knackig. Alle Speisen wurden frisch zubereitet. Wenn man seine Bestellung aufgegeben hat wurde man nach seinem Vornamen gefragt, dieses war wichtig für die anschließende Bestellung. Sobald die Sachen bzw die bestellten Gerichte fertig waren wurde der Vorname aufgerufen und die Sachen standen zur Abholung an der Theke bereit. Auch auch ein kleiner sandkasten für kinder war vorhanden zwischen dem Bierzeltgarnituren. Der Biergarten lag an ein lag an dem Fluss Tauber.

Schöner Ort, für die Kinder gibt es eine sehr große sehr tolle Schaukel und einen großen Sandkasten mit viel Spielzeug. Es ist sehr nah am See und ist preislich sehr OK.

Idyllische Wiesenwirtschaft in mitten von Sträuchern und Bäumen unmittelbar an der Tauber. Hier treffen sich alle Leute und viele Hunde. Tauber kann betreten werden und lädt zum Spielen ein. Für nicht passendes Wetter ist eine Scheune als Gastraum vorhanden. Sandspielkiste und Schaukel für Kinder . Nur zu empfehlen

Well worth a 15 minute walk from Rothenburg. Serene beer garden along the river. Dogs playing in the water. Delicious hefeweizen on tap. Had some tasty bratwurst too. Friendly, helpful staff. Great place to enjoy the day and relax.

Sehr schöner Biergarten direkt an der Tauber. Atmosphäre war Klasse, es gab Livemusik. Bier war gut, das Essen hat sehr lange gedauert war leider nichts! Fazit: Zum Bier trinken super, Essen/Brotzeit schlecht.

Der Biergarten hat eine wundervolle Lage direkt am Gewässer, ist grün eingebunden und bietet auch Kindern Aktivität (Wasser, Spielplatz). Das Hygienekonzept ist gut durchdacht. Die Bestellung erfolgt zentral, es herrscht Selbstbedienung. Getränke kann man sofort zum Biertisch seiner Wahl mitnehmen, das Essen/die Brotzeit wird frisch zubereitet und man wird aufgerufen, sein Essen abzuholen, sobald dies fertig ist. Alles lecker und von der Größe für hungrige Wanderer oder Biker genau richtig. Auch die Kuchentheke sah hervorragend aus.
