A beautiful beer garden, a wonderful atmosphere. Even yesterday in the bad weather, we still found a dry spot, and the staff were, as usual, very cheerful. We'll be back in the spring.

The Gasthaus Unter den Linden in Rothenburg has a beautiful, central location, which is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, the restaurant is showing its age. Aside from pizza, there are currently no hot dishes available, and the self-service concept seems rather simple. One positive aspect is the quiet setting under the linden trees, which invites you to linger. If you just want a drink or a quick pizza, this is the place to be. However, for a varied, hot meal, you'd be better off choosing other places in Rothenburg.

Good, home-style cooking in an incredibly pleasant atmosphere. We visited this incredibly beautiful beer garden below Rothenburg years ago (and have been there several times since). The clientele is diverse, with something for everyone. The motto is: live and let live, and everyone is tolerant. In addition to the good, home-style cooking, it's the way the hot dishes are served that counts. Orders are placed exclusively at the counter in the entrance area of ​​the beer garden. Then you find a seat and are called (depending on the name you gave when ordering) to collect your food. It's a real highlight and one of a kind. We'd be happy to go again.

The ideal beer garden hasn't changed in at least 25 years, and that's perfect! You can sit there all day in the shade and splash around in the Tauber River. For kids, be sure to bring a towel and a change of clothes.

Discovered by chance on my bike. We arrived 45 minutes before opening at 2:00 PM on a weekday, but still got delicious beers! Great! Relaxing view of the Tauber River—very nice beer garden.

Lovely park like setting by the river. Outdoor seating under the trees. Order at the window for simple dishes and beers. Food was excellent and the servers were very patient considering our bad german. Beautiful lunch in a sunny spot.

My family and I were in Rothenburg to spend a nice May Day. So we decided to visit a nice beer garden, the atmosphere is very nice, but we first stood at the food/drinks counter for 45 minutes only to be told afterwards that there was no more food available. Very unfortunate.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Queued for 1 hour at the food and drink counter to find out that no food was being served. Put up a sign there is no food? Remove food signs? I find it a disgrace.

After we had finished sightseeing in the city, we deliberately and specifically stopped here. Also on the recommendation of the actress Angelika Mann, who performed there in the summer with “Hot Times” 😍👍. A beautiful, large beer garden with self-service but very friendly hosts 🤩 and fair prices 👍. We felt really comfortable and ate/drinked well. Thank you very much. We are happy to recommend you.

Even though the beer garden is getting a bit old, we keep coming back. Because you sit idyllically in the middle of the countryside and in the shade of the trees with access to the Tauber. Since there is no fixed seating arrangement, different table sizes and arrangements are possible. The prices are ok for a beer garden, but the food is good. Only cash payment possible. There is a good selection of food, drinks and home-made cakes. Parking is a bit difficult but doable. Also popular with hikers and walkers. Events also take place there from time to time.

impudence. On Wednesday 14.8. closed, although Wednesday is not a day off. No reference to maps, nothing on the homepage and nothing by phone. Just a sign at the entrance. 5 km walk in the heat for the cat. They obviously don't care about their customers!

This is our second time in Rothenburg in the summer and we always enjoy coming to this Wiesenwirtschaft. The beer is cold and tasty and the food is all very good. There are also great spritzers and there is a sandpit on site for entertainment for the little ones. You sit directly on the Tauber and can just enjoy nature. If you like, you can also go into the river. We've been here several times on vacation and always think it's great.

A children's paradise, close to nature, clean, cozy, by the water, under the trees, lots of meadow, friendly service, parking spaces are very close and unfortunately leaves a very big wish unfulfilled: Please also offer food for vegans, because everyone can benefit from it because it is delicious, varied, lactose-free and halal, simple and contemporary.
