VITO Restaurant Cafe in Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Wir waren hier gestern mit einer größeren Gruppe. Alles hat wunderbar mit der Reservierung wunderbar geklappt. Es war angenehm ruhig und man konnte sich sehr gut unterhalten. Das Essen war super lecker vorallem die Pizza. 😋 Der Teig war mega lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten auch die Vorspeisen Platte, diese war auch sehr lecker, sowie das Bruschetta. Toiletten waren auch sehr sauber. Also eine klare Empfehlung von uns.

Gutes Essen und nette Leute. Ich habe während meines Aufenthalts in Rothenburg dreimal hier zu Abend gegessen. Jedes Mal war es ein Genuss.

Eine hervorragende Pizza und ein hervorragendes Pastagericht! Absolut köstlich!

Wir hatten Bruschetta Pomodoro als Vorspeise. Als Hauptgerichte wählten wir die Pizza Vegetariana und die Pizza Buffalo. Alle Gerichte waren köstlich. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Die Preise waren moderat. Angenehmes Ambiente. Wir tranken außerdem einen Nero Davola.

Wirklich fantastisches Essen! Musst du unbedingt mal ausprobieren.

Wir kamen gegen 19 Uhr an und wurden gebeten, draußen zu warten, während unser Tisch abgeräumt wurde, was in Ordnung war. Gegen 19:10 Uhr kam ich wieder herein und sah nach. Unser Tisch war bereits fertig, aber niemand hatte uns Bescheid gegeben. Wir setzten uns und warteten bis 19:30 Uhr auf die Speisekarten und bis 19:40 Uhr, bis unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Unsere Getränke bekamen wir erst um 20 Uhr und das Essen wurde um 20:05 Uhr serviert. Nicht ein einziges Mal entschuldigte sich jemand für die Wartezeit, was wirklich schade ist, da das Restaurant und das Essen sehr gut waren. Wir würden wiederkommen, aber nur, wenn der Service verbessert wird.

Der Service war hervorragend und die Pizza erstklassig. Das Bier vom Fass war eiskalt und perfekt gekühlt!

Sehr toller Italiener. Ich bin überzeugt davon, dass alles was wir am Tisch hatten absolut frisch zubereitet war. Klare Empfehlung!

Die Stühle sind wirklich bequem und leider bin ich hier mit dem Positiven am Ende. Zum Essen: unser Vitello Tonnato hat mit dem originalen Gericht nicht viel gemeinsam, die Thunfischcreme war nicht die erwartete Emulsion. Eine wässrige Brühe mit "Augen" von Öl (ev. Hat sich die Creme wieder getrennt) und gehackten Kapern. Die Pizza mit Burrata und Sardellen war okay, die Qualität der Zutaten passt jedoch nicht zum Preis. Service und Ambiente: nach Reservierung am Mittag wurde uns beim Betreten mitgeteilt, dass nur Pizza und Vorspeisen zubereitet werden können. An den Nachbartischen wurde weiter Pasta serviert. Das große Wasser war aus. Dafür kam das Essen schnell - und wegen der lauten Musik konnten wir satt nach 55 Minuten das Lokal wieder verlassen. Fotos habe ich leider keine, üblicherweise möchte ich anderen Leserinnen den Mund wässrig machen. Nachtrag zur Antwort der Inhaber: der Besuch ist 2 Jahre her und würde wohl erst jetzt veröffentlicht, Google hat da so seine Eigenheiten in den Freigaberichtlinien der Beiträge. Vielleicht haben wir einfach Pech gehabt, vielleicht ist mein Anspruch etwas höher, hier teile ich jedoch meine persönlichen Empfindungen und Erfahrungen mit, subjektiv.

The food was excellent. The service wasn't exactly friendly, but not rude either. Maybe they were just having a bad day?

Around 8pm in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Thursday 12th June, we were struggling to get a table at any local Restaurants. Vito were able to accommodate. We ordered Pizza & I had Rigatoni Bolognese. The pizza was very thin based with a good thick crust. If you are not a fan of the thin base, this particular pizza is not for you. The pasta Bolognese was delicious and a very good portion. Washed down with a helles, Weißbier and Radler. The service was good, more polite than warm but we enjoyed the meal and the general atmosphere. I would definitely visit the restaurant again. Rigatoni Bolognese for me again.

Excellent food (crispy, thin pizza base with generous toppings, spaghetti al dente, delicious bruschetta), good service, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, you can't sit outside.

We came here as a walk in for dinner around 7pm and were welcomed by a polite and friendly waitress. The restaurant was quiet, with just one or two other tables. We were in the mood for Italian and ordered the lasagne and linguine, along with a cheese and meat board. The lasagne arrived way too hot and it felt a bit reheated and overly cheesy, with very little meat - more comforting than good quality, and not quite the standard I’d hoped for. The linguine was better, though still fairly average compared to other Italian meals we’ve had. The cheese and meat board was a mixed experience... the core ingredients (meats, cheeses) were fresh and paired well with the wine, but a few of the other items felt random and didn’t quite fit. Pricing was fair, although not cheap, but not expensive either. Overall, the service and effort were there, but the food didn’t quite meet expectations. Perhaps we’re a little fussy, but it didn’t quite deliver for us.

The food was excellent. In particular I would recommend the veal starter which was phenomenal. The service however, left a lot to be desired. They only had 2 servers including for the bar so I assume they were understaffed rather than it being the norm, but there were a lot of things that weren't ideal. When we ordered tagliatelle we were asked if it was okay if it was spaghetti instead, but then when it arrived it was rigatoni. We ordered drinks when our mains arrived which didn't show until we had almost finished our food (even after deliberately slowing down to try and give more time). Overall it took 2h for a table of 2 to share a starter, have a main each and get the bill. When pushed for a tip, mentioned that there had been issues with service and was asked "were we not friendly?". Yes the staff were friendly... But the service was not good. Would still recommend going for the food but definitely not if you are in a rush.

We went to VITO cafe in time where nearly time to closing, however the owner was very generous with us and host us, we got a margarita and it’s was an great choice Very recommended

Very nicely furnished Italian restaurant. The menu of dishes is kept very small. Which I personally think is very good because it definitely guarantees fresh ingredients. Price performance is more than okay. Service is very friendly. A visit is definitely worth it. And if you want to stay, you can also reserve a room

Very tasty pizza and very friendly staff!

Positive: this was the only place where you could get something to eat late on a Saturday evening. The dark beer was tasty...the prices were rather high. Both pizzas looked good. But you could have made 3 to 4 pizzas from the same dough and the thin topping would be something for just one, not both. The taste was good but both left us heavy in our stomachs later. The service was friendly and attentive

Delicious pizza, good price, fast, friendly and attentive service when we were there, nice surroundings.

We were there on Saturday evening, had reserved at short notice and got a place for 4. All 4 of us ate pizza and a large salad. The food was really good, that's exactly how a pizza should be. Large, generously topped, great airy dough. The staff was extremely friendly throughout. The drinks and food came quickly. The price-performance ratio is absolutely good! Everything was great, highly recommended!

Very cozy place, very good atmosphere, in my case I ordered some fiocchi stuffed with cheese and pear with a saffron sauce and gorgonsola with walnuts, it was a wonderful dinner. Thank you very much for everything, super recommended

I can highly recommend the restaurant. We had a very good meal here this evening. The many good reviews are realistic and don't come by themselves. The service and food were very good and the atmosphere was very cozy. As a starter we had bruschetta and then a tuna salad. A specialist rounded everything off. The prices are fair.

Super delicious pizza! A bit “restless” due to its popularity and full from the moment it opens - reservations are essential. Didn't invite us to "go to town" but we would definitely come back for the pizza!!! (10 out of 10!)

We've been here several times. The food and drink are very good, but in the end we were very annoyed because we were told at 9:15 p.m. that we would soon be finishing work. At 9:40 p.m. we had to finish our drinks in a hurry and were thrown out quite rudely by the waitress. By the way, we weren't the last ones, another table was also occupied, the guests felt the same way as us. The opening time is 10 p.m., so guests should at least be allowed to drink until then. We're thinking about going somewhere else next time.

Spontaneously got a table on a weekend without a reservation. Super friendly staff and very good food. Highly recommended.

I recently stayed at the attached one for two nights “Hotel Am weissen Turm” and therefore took the short route to the restaurant. I had dinner twice. Starter, main course, dessert, and drinks were all very good. The waiting times weren't too long. The staff, despite being busy, were very friendly and accommodating. The prices are absolutely acceptable. Should I ever go to Rothenburg o.b.T. again? This will probably be my first port of call.

Absolutely amazing dishes being served here. Homemade pastas, great flavors, and the drinks were good as well. Seating and atmosphere was comfortable - we were touring the town and were able to pop in for a late lunch and get seated in the off season quickly. Prices were also fair. We had the Spaghetti Sallsiccia con Burrata and a ravioli; both were excellent. Highly recommend. Thanks again!

Went to Vito on a spur of the moment and got the last table at 7:30 p.m. The food (spaghetti and pizza) was excellent, authentically Italian. The service was very prompt and pleasant.

Great Italian restaurant in Rothenburg! It gets busy in the evenings, so I recommend making a reservation! There is a large selection of pizza and pasta. We chose pizza and were very satisfied. 🍕 The price-performance ratio is right! The service is also great!👌 There was bruschetta as a starter and tiramisu as dessert. I went home happy after dinner. Recommendation!

So good, if you are looking for something different from the great local German food visit this restaurant. Easily the best pizza and pasta we have had in decades. I forgot to take pictures of the food but I wanted to take a picture of the menu so I would not forget this place.

We have been here 2 evenings in a row, that says enough. Nice service, first evening we both had a real Italian pizza, second evening 1x Ravioli, 1x Lasagna, with a delicious Rosé on both evenings. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait long, highly recommended.

Thank you for being able to eat delicious food in the restaurant after a tiring day. If you like seafood, I recommend the salmon pasta. It's very rich and the fish meat is very fresh. The seasoning is just right too.

One of the best restaurants we’ve eaten on our trip to Europe if not the best. Service is great. Staff is friendly and fast. The food came hot and delicious. The mozzarella balls in my pasta was delightful. Definitely recommend.

I came here on a recommendation and the pizza was excellent. High quality and fresh ingredients were used. The restaurant is small and very cozy. It's a shame they don't have an outdoor area in summer. Then I would have really felt like I was in Italy.

The waitress took one of the two pizzas away for no reason, even though it was the right one, and gave it to another table who hadn't waited any longer. The person then had to wait 20 minutes for their food while everyone else was already served. When the pizza finally arrived, there was no excuse for the delay. Later the grappa was also forgotten and we had to ask for it again after another 15 minutes. There was no excuse here either. Overall very poor and unfriendly service. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

We arrived 21:00+, and although the kitchen was already closed, they allowed us to sit and enjoy 2 great pizzas. Honestly, never expected to find top pizzas so far away from Italy, but I was positively surprised. The fact that they didn't send us away mattered the most. And they also accept dogs inside!!

And we had a great evening here again and can really recommend everything from starters to dessert 100%. The homemade pasta is particularly delicious, the pizza is the best in Rothenburg and the service is extremely friendly, friendly and accommodating! We'll definitely be back soon! Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the good food (the 2nd star for that) because two men - apparently regulars - were constantly talking loudly on the phone at the neighboring table. In between, they insulted me and my guests in racist ways. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she apologized and said she couldn't do anything about the men's behavior. Can the operators of a restaurant that promises a pleasant atmosphere really care if guests feel uncomfortable or even have to deal with racist comments?

We visited as a couple and with our dog, early July 2024. The restaurant was very busy, and we didn't have a reservation - though they found us a table in the room behind the main room. This was a quieter room, and actually better as we had our little dog with us. Great that it's dog friendly. The waitress was very efficient, the pasta was absolutely delicious! Local Kellerbier good too, even served in a ceramic mug (though it seemed strange not being able to see the beer). Highly recommended to eat out there in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

The pizzas are very tasty and highly recommended. The service is nice and the food came very quickly. However, there is a small deduction because there are no seats outside and it heats up slightly inside. All in all it was a nice one and definitely recommended.
