Me and my three daughters came here for a night out. The staff and our server were so totally awesome!! The food was great and my family and I are looking forward to another great experience at this magical place!!

Super tasty pizza. Unfortunately we waited almost an hour for the food, but it was definitely worth it for the quality!

Very bad, please don't go there... Waited 1.15 hours for a pizza… What the owner answers is not true.

The waitress took one of the two pizzas away for no reason, even though it was the right one, and gave it to another table who hadn't waited any longer. The person then had to wait 20 minutes for their food while everyone else was already served. When the pizza finally arrived, there was no excuse for the delay. Later the grappa was also forgotten and we had to ask for it again after another 15 minutes. There was no excuse here either. Overall very poor and unfriendly service. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

I came here on a recommendation and the pizza was excellent. High quality and fresh ingredients were used. The restaurant is small and very cozy. It's a shame they don't have an outdoor area in summer. Then I would have really felt like I was in Italy.

We arrived 21:00+, and although the kitchen was already closed, they allowed us to sit and enjoy 2 great pizzas. Honestly, never expected to find top pizzas so far away from Italy, but I was positively surprised. The fact that they didn't send us away mattered the most. And they also accept dogs inside!!

Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the good food (the 2nd star for that) because two men - apparently regulars - were constantly talking loudly on the phone at the neighboring table. In between, they insulted me and my guests in racist ways. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she apologized and said she couldn't do anything about the men's behavior. Can the operators of a restaurant that promises a pleasant atmosphere really care if guests feel uncomfortable or even have to deal with racist comments?

And we had a great evening here again and can really recommend everything from starters to dessert 100%. The homemade pasta is particularly delicious, the pizza is the best in Rothenburg and the service is extremely friendly, friendly and accommodating! We'll definitely be back soon! Thank you for a great evening in the neighborhood!

We visited as a couple and with our dog, early July 2024. The restaurant was very busy, and we didn't have a reservation - though they found us a table in the room behind the main room. This was a quieter room, and actually better as we had our little dog with us. Great that it's dog friendly. The waitress was very efficient, the pasta was absolutely delicious! Local Kellerbier good too, even served in a ceramic mug (though it seemed strange not being able to see the beer). Highly recommended to eat out there in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

The pizzas are very tasty and highly recommended. The service is nice and the food came very quickly. However, there is a small deduction because there are no seats outside and it heats up slightly inside. All in all it was a nice one and definitely recommended.

Very nicely furnished Italian restaurant. The menu of dishes is kept very small. Which I personally think is very good because it definitely guarantees fresh ingredients. Price performance is more than okay. Service is very friendly. A visit is definitely worth it.

We waited out with our little dog - almost unsure if we could go in with him. The wonderful person came out and when I asked “I guess we can’t go in with our dog”, he warmly and coolly (at the same time) answered “yes you can, even with much bigger dogs”. We were seated at a lovely window table. Both the service and the food were exceptional. We asked if the fish is breaded, and the waiter understood that that’s what we didn’t want and he proactively offered to request the kitchen to cook it without flour. The food (fish and pizza) was so delicious - köstlich as the Germans say it! And orgasmic as we say it! 🙃 And of course our little guy got a lovely bowl of water right in the beginning. They were just wonderful - such a chilled vibe paired with such delicious food can be an anomaly in some places but they live it with ease at Vito. I veto all other restaurants in favor of Vito. (Ok sorry for this terrible pun, but delight makes you go a little crazy) 😃 Grazie Mille! Can’t wait to be back in Rothenburg just so we can enjoy your impeccable food and hospitality again.

Best Lasagna I ever had in Germany!! Totally recommend it. We had gone to rothenburg on Christmas Eve where all places were closed except this one. Would recommend calling the restaurant and going there. The place ambiance is very good and looks like it came straight out of olden times! Only thing was our phones didn’t catch any signal inside perhaps due to the building structure - in a way it’s good as we got to spend quality time at dinner😃

We came in late (after the highly recommended night watchman tour) and very near closing time. Vito welcomed us himself and swiftly moved us in (a bit of initial hesitation by the greeter, but Vito stepped in!). Because it was really late, our options were pizza and salad. Based on this experience, we will come back to try pasta and we recommend the place. Vito is working hard on this place and making sure you get the right service and the right food delivered to you. The ambience is casual, we saw families, groups of friends and a couple on a date. It is a place for locals for sure. Plenty of options for cocktails, beer and wine. On to the food- my favorite was the ham and truffle pizza, dough was thin, perfect texture and delicious. The ham is shaved and it blends perfectly to let the truffle be the star of the pie without overtaking the whole thing. The spicy sausage pizza was also very tasty, and the salad was a very decent size to share one for 4 adults (you have to get veggies). Give Vito a shot, after all those wursts, you want to have some italian dishes to give your palate a nice treat. And say hi to Vito

My wife and I would normally just let this “difference of opinions”, go, but she reviewed the Vito restaurant after we were PAYING customers, have the receipt for our pizza and sparkling waters (my wife is pregnant so we didn’t drink) but according to owner’s rash and untruthful response back to her, I’m saying the truth about our horrible encounter with this establishment. As restaurant business owners ourselves, the owner of Vito embarrassed us in front of the whole restaurant and our teenage son, for bringing in a plastic bag from another restaurant, all the while we were eating our pizza from HIS restaurant. My wife asked the Vito owner to calm down and he continued to scream at her, then grabbed her arm twice. An assault. *Please T.A., let us finish our story with more words needed* After shaking and mortified from this 1st encounter from the owner, we quickly ate our food and paid our bill. As we were leaving my wife saw the owner behind the bar counter and went up to him and told him that we own our own restaurant and would never treat embarrass any of our customers in our restaurant like he just did in front of our son. He continued by saying, “Oh you’re the greatest aren’t you?”, and calling us “Idiots” over and over. We only asked for an apology and then the owner kept saying that my wife was drunk. Uh hem, she’s pregnant and for religious and health reasons we’ve never had a drink in our lives. We told him that, but then he assaulted her by grabbing her arm twice and threatened to call the police, which we wanted to happen to be able to tell the police and his patrons the names he was calling us, grabbing my wife’s arm, and screaming at us in front of our son and the other customers. He had another worker there and then his wife we believe came over and screamed some more. We bought food. Paid. No one on this earth deserves to be treated like this establishment treated us. We filmed the whole thing but Trip Advisor won’t let us post the way this owner truly treats his customers. You may have good food, but your character is beneath us. As a restaurant owner, I would never support a restaurant for assaulting:verbally and physically, its customers no matter how good the food seems. Please be truthful in your responses. We have the video and your picture in our minds and on this screen says it all. You knew we were filming you when you kept calling us idiots and drunks. We welcomed you to call the police to tell our side of you assaulting my wife. The two ladies told you not to, so it’d hide your nastiness. Bad character sir!!

Worst restaurant ever! Please don’t go here. Owner kicked(threw) us out of the restaurant for bringing a plastic bag in. So rude, we filmed the whole thing and took pics. He threatened to call the police on us for bringing in a plastic sack from another store.

Do not go here!!! We video taped the owner calling us idiots, and drunks (though no alcohol was drunken) and kicking us out of his restaurant tonight after he embarrassed us for “wrongly” bringing in a plastic food bag from another store. Worst service, food and establishment. We have it all on film. He threatened to call the police but touched us and pushed us out the door.

Gute Pizza. Etwas laut. Keine besondere Atmosphäre. Eng bestuhlt, ohne Tischdecke, einfach und zweckmäßig. Eher Bistro als Restaurant Charakter. Bestellte Flasche Wein war nicht verfügbar so dass ohne Hinweis eine andere geliefert wurde die gleich mal 10 Euro mehr gekostet hat.

Die Pizza mit Büffelmozarella war einfach Lecker. Mehr gibt es dazu nicht zu sagen. Wir haben dort Urlaub gemacht und waren Abends dort zum Essen.

O atendimento foi excelente e o local é bem aconchegante e acolhedor. A comida estava saborosa mas não tinha um diferencial na minha opinião. Como eu amo massas pode ser que eu esteja sendo exigente demais, vale a pena a visita para conhecer e ter sua própria conclusão.

Wir haben selten so gute Pizzen gegessen. Der Service ist einer Touristenstadt angemessen freundlich und angemessen. Aufgrund des extrem guten Essens waren wir am nächsten erneut dort. Wieder alles perfekt!

Die Stühle sind wirklich bequem und leider bin ich hier mit dem Positiven am Ende. Zum Essen: unser Vitello Tonnato hat mit dem originalen Gericht nicht viel gemeinsam, die Thunfischcreme war nicht die erwartete Emulsion. Eine wässrige Brühe mit "Augen" von Öl (ev. ist die Creme "abgeschissen") und gehackten Kapern. Die Pizza mit Burrata und Sardellen war okay, die Qualität der Zutaten passt jedoch nicht zum Preis. Service und Ambiente: nach Reservierung am Mittag wurde uns beim Betreten mitgeteilt, dass nur Pizza und Vorspeisen zubereitet werden können. An den Nachbartischen wurde weiter Pasta serviert. Das große Wasser war aus. Dafür kam das Essen schnell - und wegen der lauten Musik konnten wir satt nach 55 Minuten das Lokal wieder verlassen. Fotos habe ich leider keine, üblicherweise möchte ich anderen Leserinnen den Mund wässrig machen.

Vorspeise war prima, üppig und lecker. Der eigentliche Hauptgang hat rund 1:15 gedauert. Vermutlich wurde er erst zubereitet, als wir fragten, wann er kam, wurde es vermutlich erst zubereitet. Die Trüffel-Tagliatelle war geschmacklich traurig (auch von der Menge - siehe Bild) aber nach etwas nachsalzen essbar

We ate at VITO twice during our visit to Rothenburg because the Pizza was just that good! You can taste that the dough and the sauce is home made, just delicious! My wife had the vegetarian pizza without cheese (Vegan) and she did not miss the cheese at all. The vegetables were roasted to perfection, and as mentioned before, the sauce and dough were just great. I cheated on my Vegan lifestyle, as I sometimes do on vacation, and had the spicy salami pizza with added Gorgonzola, oh my gosh, it was fantastic. The service we received was very friendly and professional, the atmosphere was pleasant and the price for the dinners was more than fair. The only item that would have made the visit even better, outside seating, but we spend 12 hours outside each day, so 1 hour inside for dinner is more than reasonable.

We absolutely loved our meals at Vito. We where walking past & smelt the garlic & decided to give it a go, so glad we did. We had bruschetta for starter which was so light & fresh. I had the seafood pasta & omg, one of the best I have ever had. My patner had a pasta with sliced rump steak & tomoto based sauce & he loved that as well. Really good fresh food at reasonable prices

This is an absolutely beautiful gem in Rothenburg ob T. The food was superb and the atmosphere was delightful. I somehow managed to order an item that was not on the menu because I had heard that the stuffed pastas here were amazing. So the accommodated me with perfect results. Highly recommend.

Excellent Italian food. Not just your standard dish, but something special. The Ravioli was so good, and we enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommended.

We ordered pasta. It tasted good. But for some reason we had to wait an hour for the pasta. An hour. Makarna söyledik. Tadı güzeldi. Fakat anlamadığımız bir şekilde makarna için bir saat bekledik. Tam bir saat.

A pesar de serem sempre gentis e a comida ser muito boa, deixaram meu drink tanto tempo pronto pra ser trazido na mesa que derreteu todo o gelo e a pizza demorou muito mas veio instantaneamente após reclamarmos da demora (?). A maioria das pizzas estavam maravilhosas mas cuidado pq quando diz picante é PICANTE, e o pepperoni é MUITO picante. O drink a pesar de aguado estava muito bom.

Wir waren heute hier essen. Waren schön öfter hier und es ist immer wieder schön hier. Die Bedienungen sind super freundlich und das Essen immer fantastisch! Wer gerne italienisch isst, ist hier genau richtig! Preis-Leistung ist auch top! Freue mich schon auf das nächste mal!

Die Antipasti Platte und die hausgemachte Pasta sind köstlich! Wir haben zu sechst dort gespeist und waren geschmacklich alle überzeugt! Sehr lecker! Ein Minus gibt’s für den Service. Um 21:30 Uhr eine kalte Flasche Primitivo servieren, um 22 Uhr abkassieren und dann im Fünfminutentakt darum bitten, dass man doch jetzt gehen soll, schmälerte das Geschmackserlebnis doch sehr. Uns war nicht bewusst, dass bereits um 22 Uhr geschlossen wird (Samstag Abend). Wären wir darauf aufmerksam gemacht worden hätten wir keine zweite Fl. Rotwein bestellt. Die erste war schon viel zu kalt.

Found this little gem of a restaurant during Christmas, 2022 in Rothenburg. Wife and I ate there twice - I hardly eat anywhere twice. The main man, Vito was a pleasure to deal with and so was the wait staff. The food was very satisfying and the portions were excellent. Want good Italian food? Look no further. If I returned to Rothenburg, I would definitely visit again. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic Italian food. My daughter and I shared three dishes - the carbonara, the arribiata and the gnocchi. The meal was so good - we returned the next night!!! The service was prompt and friendly. Lovely, warm atmosphere. They take reservations. Highly recommend!!!!

We had excellent two courses. There is a Sicilian leaning to the cuisine. The waiter was friendly and interesting and it was reasonable value. Probably worth booking as even in late October it was very busy.

Twee avonden in Rothenberg en twee avonden aten we hier. Let niet op dat er geen zitplaatsen in het restaurant zijn en de eigenaar van het restaurant het erg druk heeft. Je hoeft in ieder geval niet langer dan 20 minuten te wachten om een tafel te krijgen. Alles wat we hier aten was niet alleen lekker maar zag er ook nog eens heerlijk uit. Onze complimenten aan de eigenaar van het restaurant.

We ate here on our first night in Rothenburg, at the recommendation of our tour guide, and it did not disappoint! I am honestly surprised this restaurant isn’t rated higher. Everyone in our group ordered pizza, so I can’t speak to their other dishes, but the pizza was outstanding. Service was excellent too. It was right down the street from our hotel, so the location could not have been more convenient for us.

Trotz leckerem Essens - hat sich unser Besuch als eine reine entäuschung erwiesen. Nach dem wir nach der Rechnung gefragt haben, hat es lange genauer bis wir die bekommen haben . An der lokal Tür wird mit American Express geworben - dies 2 Mal durch verschiedene Zahlungsprovider . Hat sich herausgestellt , dass die Bezahlung mit American Express nicht möglich war . Kelner meinte das die Bazahling mit American Express nur für Hotelgäste möglich ist . Außerdem waren der Chef und der Kellner sehr unverschämt gegenüber uns . Haben versucht meinen Mitbegleitet auf die Zahlung aufmerksam zu machen - ohne dies vorher mit mir zu besprechen . Das Essen war lecker .

Auf der Durchreise nach Italien zufällig hier gelandet. Wahnsinns Pizza und eine super nette Bedienung! Nur zu empfehlen! Danke!

We were grateful that the restaurant gave us a table. We didn't have reservations and Rothenburg's restaurants cannot meet the demand - so we were thankful that we were able to get a table. We started our meal at 7:30. We left the restaurant a little after 10. And this was not because we were consuming lots of beverages! First - the food is very good. I had a Caprese salad with what was labeled buffalo mozarella. It was not the buffalo that I know and love, but it was ok. The tomatoes were of good quality and tasted of tomatoes - not always true in modern restaurants! My friends had tomato soup and the beef carpaccio. The beef was the evening's highlight for my friend. The problem we had was that the food was not served at the same time. Thankfully, for the starters two of us had cold starters. We waited a long time to have our order taken - and for our starters to arrive, so we were surprised that we did not get them all at the same time. But - there was a mistake, I thought. So, all was ok. And then we waited a very long time for our main courses - pasta. When they finally arrived - again, it was not all at once. I had almost completed my course by the time my partner and friend received their meal. There was little attention to beverages - and by the time we finished our pasta - it was almost 10 pm. So, we forewent dessert, worried that we would be there until midnight. Maybe they are understaffed. The pastas were fantastic, so better service would definitely make this a much better evening experience.

Very good authentic food, great local beer in beautiful town of Rothenberg. Highly recommended. Pizzas are of great taste feels like eating somewhere in Italy. Also gave us suggestion for nice ice cream shop in town, Dolce which was also great. Kind hospitality.

I’m traveling alone right now and typically like to try a new restaurant everyday I’m on a trip. Vito’s was so amazing I had to go back for a second visit. It was without a doubt some of the best food I’ve ever had. Not only was the food incredible, but they were perfectly timed, super reasonably priced and extremely kind to me. A special thanks to Filip, Zenyep, and Ihtilal for making my visits so worth it both times. 11/10, 6 out of 5 stars, 110% recommend Vitos to anyone visiting Rothenburg. Loved it!

Tried a cheaper place, but no seats left & grumpy waiter told us no. Accidentally hit on ‘Vito’ and loved it! Reasonably priced, beautiful food - friendly service. Pizza, pasta, meat/fish all delicious. Two veggies in our small family group - lots of choice. Only downside - no outdoor seating. We highly recommend Vito- best Italian in Rothenburg?

We celebrated Thanksgiving here at Vito on the advice of a local who said if we needed a break from wursts that Vitos was the place. He did not lead us astray. We had four different pasta dishes and all were cooked al dente, came out hot and well presented, and we’re flavorful and well seasoned. No, perhaps not the best Italian restaurant ever, but a very good choice In Rothenburg!

This place is amazing. We spent two weeks eating our way across Italy and while eating at Vito we forgot we were in Rothenburg. It felt like Italy and the food was incredible. Our kids had the Quattro Formaggio Pizza and we shared the Quadrelli...
