Great pizza, wafer-thin and simply a wood-fired pizza

Great food, pizza and homemade pasta were a dream. All of this at a top-class price/performance ratio. Thank you for the great evening. The homemade lemonade is also highly recommended

Wir haben im Volare angerufen und gefragt, wie lange es etwas zu essen gibt. Bis 21:00 Uhr, heute würden sie aber länger die Küche offen haben. Wir sagten zu, dass wir kommen, es aber vor 21:30uhr nicht schaffen werden. Dies wäre kein Problem, hieß es. Wir kamen nach 25 km Fahrt um 21:35 Uhr an. Bestellten unsere Getränke. Wir bekamen mit, wie der Pizzabäcker (ist wohl der Chef) mit dem Kellner anfängt zu diskutieren, dass er den Ofen schon ausgemacht hat. Der Kellner ihm sagte, dass er mitgeteilt hätte, dass nochmals Gäste etwas später zum Essen kommen würden. Plötzlich stand der Pizzabäcker bei uns und sagte uns im forschen Ton „Pizza gibts keine mehr“. Wir sagten, dass wir extra angerufen hatten und uns zugesagt wurde. Pizzabäcker aggressiv: „ Wir sollten Respekt haben“. Wir sind gegangen, bevor die Getränke kamen. So etwas haben wir noch nicht erlebt! Hierher kommen wir bestimmt NIE WIEDER!!!

IT COULD NOT BE MORE FRIENDLY! We call ahead and ask how long food will be available. Actually until 9 p.m. but today we're doing it longer. We arrived at 9:35 p.m. Ordered the drinks from a friendly waiter. In the background we heard how the pizza maker (probably the boss) started to discuss our late arrival with the waiter. The waiter told him that he had let them know that late guests would be coming to dinner. The pizza maker came to our table and told us briskly that we were no longer getting pizza. We pointed out that we had called ahead and were promised that it wouldn't be a problem if we came later. The pizza maker told us in an aggressive tone that we should have respect. We left IMMEDIATELY (the drinks hadn't been served yet either). We drove 25 km for free, we have NEVER EXPERIENCED anything like that! Supposedly it's a great pizzeria, BUT the SERVICE LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED! We will definitely NEVER come here again!

The service is great and the ambience is a dream. But the quality of the food has deteriorated dramatically. It's also a shame that they'll have to do it soon. I wish the team all the best

When we sat at a table in the restaurant, we were rudely told that it was reserved (there was no sign on the table, so we couldn't know). We then ordered and suddenly the music in the restaurant was turned up so loud that we couldn't even hold a conversation. I have nothing against music but since you're in a pizzeria and not a disco or a beer tent, it was just over the top. And since we had our little daughter with us, we had to "move" outside without further ado. Of course, very complicated with a small child. Pizza was good, base slightly burnt but that can happen. The only plus points are the playground at the restaurant and the good parking facilities. If we had ordered the pizza to take away and eaten it in the car, we would have had a more pleasant atmosphere. Too bad!

The pizzas are simply uniquely good! As we all know, pictures speak more than 1000 words! 😃 Only the service can be improved! Very slow, not very attentive service. That's why there are long waiting times if you want to reorder drinks or pay. Ambience inside is good and quaint. The beer garden at the airport is also very nice. You can easily watch the planes taking off and landing. Overall 4 out of 5 stars.

With one of the best pizzas outside of Italy😋 Service very accommodating, there is always something to see due to the air traffic and ideal with children as there is a playground and a small football pitch, even in the shade. Pasta is the next thing we have to try, so far we haven't had the heart not to order pizza 😅

Very tasty and inexpensive food. Freshly baked from the stone oven. My wife's calzone was super good and huge on a pizza plate, it stood almost 10 cm over the edge of the plate on each side.

There's only one thing to say: The sheer madness! Admittedly, the pizzeria is very out of the way and the navigation system had problems. Once you arrive, the restaurant makes up for everything. We went there for lunch on a Tuesday. The place was almost empty and completely to ourselves. The Capriciosa salad we ordered was huge and delicious. Prices are moderate. A great view on the terrace. A real insider tip!!

When the weather is nice, sitting outside with a view of the children in the playground there is relaxing in itself. The food is good and plentiful. The prices are absolutely fine. I eat by far the best pizza there but as we all know, that's a matter of taste. It's definitely worth a visit, in my case even more often.

Good pizzeria, and you can watch the planes take off and land from the beer garden while you're there. Parachutists were also out and about when we were there.

We are there regularly with the children and you can say whatever you want, but here it is It is by far the best pizza in the district, especially if you eat it fresh on site. The taste is just like in Italy 🇮🇹

Pizzeria right at the small airport in Rothenburg. Sufficient free parking spaces and a nice, large playground for the kids. As expected, the food is clearly Italian, with a large selection of different dishes. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. If you are looking for good pizza, etc. just outside of Rothenburg, Trattoria Volare is the right place.

A somewhat unusual pizzeria, right next to a small sports airfield. There are always skydivers here. Suitable for families as there is a small playground outside for the children. The service is very nice and authentic. Everything we have ordered so far has been very tasty. We will be back.

In summer it is certainly fantastic to be able to eat a pizza right on the runway and sit in the beer garden, which is often overcrowded on weekends. If you're lucky, the food is to die for and you also get the drink you ordered. If you're unlucky, you can have an argument with the arrogant boss, e.g. if a calzone isn't fully baked, then sits at the counter for another 15 minutes and is then poured over with ice-cold tomato sauce. Then they quickly say succinctly: “The pizza came out of the oven hot.” If you don't like Gutmann Hefeweizen and order a Tucher Hefeweizen, you have to be careful, a Gutmann is coming. Unfortunately, I can't tolerate Gutmann Hefeweizen, so I recognize that straight away. If you then complain, you have to expect endless discussions with the boss and it can happen that the Gutmann Hefeweizen is poured into a Tucher glass and served again stale. After you complain again and return the stale drink, you are happily left sitting without a drink. All in all, if you're not a Tucher Hefeweizen drinker, have Italian arrogance, see constructive criticism as an insult and not as an incentive for possible improvements, get along well and like cold pizza every now and then, you can spend a nice afternoon there. For my part, I will avoid this establishment in the future. The staff is generally friendly and accommodating.

It takes over 50 minutes to get the food, went once and I don't think I'll ever go there again. Far too few staff, the kitchen is apparently only occupied by one person, but it was sad.

Ich war am Do 31.08.2023 da Der Service gerade von Marcello, war sehr zuvorkommend, er ist auf extra wünsche freundlich eingegangen. Der Holz Pizzaofen ist natürlich der Hingucker. Am Ambiente drumherum, die Zuwegung, Zäune müssten mal Instand gesetzt werden. Ansonsten merkt man, es ist, La famiglia

Wir waren zu sechst und hatten alle wunderbares Essen! Draussen kann man super sitzen und es ist sehr kinderfreundlich. Alle sind sehr nett und sehr bemüht. Tolles scharfes Öl. Eigentlich ein Geheimtipp!

Ein richtig guter Geheim TIP unserer Pension Unterkunft „Zur Neuen Welt - Steinsfeld“. Das Restaurant liegt ein wenig abseits an einem Flugplatz. Haben kurzfristig ohne Reservierung heute ein Tisch für 3 Personen bekommen. Das Essen dort ist mega lecker. Wir können es zu 100% weiter empfehlen.

Ein Geheimtip und man sollte reservieren. Der Biergarten liegt am Start und Landeplatz mit einem großen Spielplatz. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Ich hatte eine Pizza und der Teig ist ein Traum. Selten so eine gute Pizza gegessen. Der Teig wird vom Koch selbst zubereitet, habe extra gefragt. So wie der schmeckt, bekommt er auch Zeit. Wenn man die Location nicht kennt, fährt man vorbei. Ist halt an einem Flughafen im Niergendwo. Mit dem Auto von Rothenburg in ein paar Minuten gut zu erreichen. Preis Leistung Top. Für die Qualität könnte man auch mehr verlangen. Übrigens, es gibt dort auch Pizza bianco, also ohne Tomatensauce, macht auch nicht jeder.

Der Besuch war vor 2 Wochen. Die Pizza war sehr gut. Preis/Leistung passt vollkommen. Wir saßen im Außenbereich. Dieser ist schön. Den Pizza Bäckern kann man im Außenbereich bei der Arbeit zusehen. Authentisches Pizza Lokal! Die direkte Umgebung des Flughafens war auch mal "einfach was anderes" als die Standard Innenräume.

Wahnsinn. Top Ausblick. Essen sehr gut. Sehr zu empfehlen.

En Trattoria vid ett litet flygfält!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Trotz einer großen Gruppe, mit 18 Leuten, die wir waren, hat niemand lange warten müssen. Wir wurden mit Vorspeisen überrascht und jedes Gericht war sehr lecker. Jede Pizza war gut gemacht und echt groß. Wir kommen garantiert wieder.

Super Service. Beste Pizza überhaupt, aus dem Steinofen. Sehr schön an warmen Tagen. Auch für Familien mit Kindern gut geeignet.

Hier wird die Pizza mit komplett frischen Zutaten frisch zubereitet. Hier gibt es keine Dosen-Champignons oder Ähnliches. Aber auch die Pasta und Antipasti sind hervorragend. Vom Service her sind alle Kellner sehr nett, insbesondere der junge Kellner, der mit ausgesuchter Höflichkeit und Freundlichkeit, sehr professionell und nett die Gäste bedient. Hier ist man mit Familie, wie auch mit Freunden (heute 9 Personen) immer super aufgehoben. Bis bald

Perfetto per una pausa pranzo e spezzare il viaggio. Servizio cortesissimo, tagliere di salumi ottimo e modesto nel prezzo pur essendo di qualità buona. La Lasagna ottima, sia l’esecuzione che gli ingredienti. Con carne e prosciutto, come piace a me. Vini a calice decorosi. Non pretende di essere un ristorante elegante, ma la proposta gastronomica onesta, corretta, dignitosa. Grazie anche per la gentilezza.

Es war die beste pizza die ich seit langen gegessen habe und der Geschäftsführer ist sehr nett! Super Personal ich kann es nur empfehlen

Ein einfacher Salat mit Hühnerbrust dauert schon mal eine gute halbe Stunde. Das was dann geliefert wird, ist von der Portion her eher mickrig, ohne Brot und die staubtrockene und steinharte Hühnerbrust ist dann auch die Erklärung, warum der Salat so lange dauert. Die Bedienung würdigt die Gäste mir keinem Blick und verschwindet auch mal für 10 Minuten zum lauten Palvaer mit dem Koch ins innere der Gaststätte. So das sie durch keinen Blickkontakt gestört wird. Man hat dann schon fast ein schlechtes Gewissen, wenn man zum Bezahlen aufstehen, in das Lokal gehen und die beiden beim Plausch stören muss. Wenn man mit dem Flieger anreist, dann hat man leider nicht so viele Alternativen zur Auswahl.

Die Freude über die klasse Location direkt an der Landbahn wurde leider gleich zu Beginn getrübt. Nahezu alle Stühle im Schatten (unter einem Baum) waren mit Vogelkot beschmutzt und man musste sich selbst saubere Stühle zusammensuchen. Der Kellner schlug einen auf uns etwas unfreundlichen wirkenden Ton an. Die bestellte Pizza kam schnell, nur leider vor der ebenfalls bestellten Vorspeise. Auf einen Hinweis, dass wir doch einen Vorspeise bestellt hätten erhielten wir nur den Kommentar: "Die kommt noch, das sind zwei getrennte Küchen. Das kann man nicht steuern". Leider hat man das Konzept der Vorspeise hier offensichtlich nicht so ganz verstanden. Die Pizza war sehr lecker und ist zu empfehlen. Beim kassieren gaben wir für die Leistung des Service kein Trinkgeld. Da er Kellner offensichtlich nicht das passende Kleingeld hatte, fragte er, ob er 10 Cent weniger raus geben darf. Einfach nur dreist.

Die Pizzen sind genial. Man sitzt einfach super. Die Kinder können spielen: ABER: Freundlichkeit beim Service wird leider ganz klein geschrieben und mit Sonderwünschen braucht man gar nicht zu kommen. Schade!

Gibt fast keine bessere Gelegenheit um nach dem Landen Pizza zu genießen. Nettes Personal, Sonnen/Schattenplätze, vernünftige Preise. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

We were told one hour for three pizzas (which we agreed too and were okay with), yet we waited over one and a half hours before our food was even in the oven. People had sat down, ordered their food, received their food and finished their food before we even had our food and we were there before them. After one and a half hours we asked about our pizzas and we were told five minutes, fifteen minutes later we asked about our food again, the waitress got extremely angry and told us we would not be allowed in the restaurant anymore. THE WORST SERVICE IN GERMANY!

Wir waren Sonntag Abend am Flugplatz. Schöne Location, schönes lokal. Nette Bedienung. Der Salat war okay, für über 10 Euro jedoch wesentlich Überpreist. Auch die Pizza ist etwas teurer als üblich, die Cosenza war gut. Jedoch nicht überragend. Aber durchaus eine gute pizza, fur Deutschland sicher überdurchschnittlich. Was jedoch total nervig war. Die Wartezeit. Nach über 2 Student haben wir unser Essen erhalten, die gesamte Organisation war allgemein sehr chaotisch, die Bedienungen wussten häufig nicht wo das Essen und die Getränke hin gehören. Ich werde nicht mehr kommen, um 19 Uhr dort, um 21 Uhr gab es essen, das nervt einfach und zerstört einen eigentlich gemütlich geplanten Abend mit Freunden. Schade, da die Besitzer nett sine, die Bedingungen ebenfalls und auch die Pizza gut.

Direkt neben dem Flugplatz gelegen findet sich die authentische Trattoria. Die Pizzen sind groß und im Holzofen gebacken - besonders gut finde ich die tolle Auswahl vegetarischer Pizzen. Das Tiramisu zum Dessert war hausgemacht und fantastisch. Service freundlich und schnell, Preise absolut im Rahmen. Ein netter Bonus: Bei schönem Wetter kann man den Flugzeugen beim Starten und Landen zuschauen. Für die Kinder gibt es einen Spielplatz.

Da wir unsere Wochenenden viel am Flugplatz Rothenburg sind, gehen wir mittags und abends öfters essen. Das Personal ist super freundlich und wir fühlen uns sehr wohl. Egal ob Vorspeise, Salat, Pizza oder Pasta, hier schmeckt alles sehr gut. Auch größere Gruppen sind hier gut aufgehoben. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auf jeden Fall.
