Very tasty food, a little expensive, but worth it. Very nice service, I'll be back!

I did enjoy my visit, service and food.

We had reserved a table. An older couple without a reservation was in the restaurant before us and invited themselves to sit at the table with us because they didn't want to wait until something became available. "You can share the table" - so much for a romantic dinner for two ( wedding anniversary) 😅 The waitress was also perplexed when the man said that, just like me. Unfortunately I missed the moment to reject it. Now we sat there. Everyone almost silent at the table. Then a table became available (after we all had an appetizer) and the waitress told the couple they could now change tables. The man actually said "No, that's fine" 😭 she then said again "Another table is free. Let's let the young people sit here alone". They then went to the other table. Another waiter later said to us, “Now you have peace and quiet” - everyone was perfectly able to read the atmosphere ❤️ Now about the food We had the bruschetta (2 larger slices) for the two of us - alone plus the main menu it might have been a bit too much in my opinion Wonderful taste 👍🏽 A pizza spaghetti bolognese And my highlight is the tiramisu! I haven't found such a great restaurant in a long time. Unfortunately we were only here for one night. But we will definitely eat here again on our next visit Thanks to all the restaurant employees ❤️

Everything was really great, we would love to come back!

Six of us went, the pumpkin tortellini was just good, the duck dish interesting, the rigatoni was good, the bolognese ok, the carbonara unfortunately one of the worst we ate, they probably cut the egg, the spaghetti was muddy.... What can we say about the pizza with the hard cut egg and the white cookie-like dough? The crème bourlé is very good. Disappointment after the comments we read. Overpriced we'd say

We recently went to Restaurant Michelangelo, and it was definitely worth our time and money! When we entered we were kindly seated by a very nice waiter. The place looked amazing and had a great overall atmosphere. It had a fancy, cozy and professional look. The food was brought relatively quick, and it tasted amazing at a reasonable price. Our waiter was nice and friendly just like the other people working there. It is a place definitely worth visiting. A great Italian restaurant you don’t want to miss out on.

Great gluten free pizza and pasta!

Unfortunately we didn't make a reservation and still got a place for about 1 hour. The food was super tasty and quick. Super great service, extremely friendly staff. Absolute recommendation. We shared the starter of beef carpaccio with buffalo mozzarella. Then ordered a pizza and a calzone. Great pizza dough! For dessert there was a tiramisu and a Dubai chocolate inspired tiramisu, both very tasty and beautifully presented. If we come to Rothenburg again we will definitely make reservations in good time. By the way, dogs are also welcome here, but it can be a bit cramped in places with large dogs. As a precaution, we didn't have the Bernese and the mixed breed with us.

We were at Michelangelo on Sunday and today. The food was very finely tuned, very tasteful, beautifully presented, the service was very friendly. Perfect all round and can be recommended.

The restaurant is not very big. The food is very delicious. Good service staff, good atmosphere, delicious spaghetti.

The fish (cod, sea bream) was fantastic, fresh, very little fat, deliciously served with salad and vegetables, the taste was an absolute poem👌. So you can go to the restaurant in a health-conscious way. Prices are completely reasonable, the atmosphere is very cozy and the service is very friendly and professional.

A wonderful restaurant with a superbly created menu. Husband and wife Michaele (in the kitchen), and Basia (front of house) treat customers to an amazing selection of Italian dishes. The food is delicious with the fresh seafood pasta dishes being a favourite. The pumpkin filled tortellini with porcini mushrooms was sublime. The fresh pasta lasagna tasty and filling. And to top it off there are delightfully delicate desserts such as crème brulé and Dubai style tiramisu. This place is a must during your visit to Rothenburg.

Delicious, typical Italian food. According to my taste, the portions could have been a little larger. A reservation makes sense, unless you are lucky and a table becomes available. The restaurant is very busy. Definitely recommended.

Michelangelo in Rothenburg may be on its way to earning a one star Michelin review. We dined there two nights in a row while in the city and it was magnificent both times. Our waiter Olsi was a superstar both nights in Service, hospitality, professionalism, composure, and we saw the love of his job with him. All other personnel at Michaelangelo were top notch in our experience. All our foods, the salmon in paper with vegetables, etc were so good that we almost ordered it the next night. The bruschetta, soup, green salad, were above the extraordinary. It was fine dining in a huge surprise way at reasonable prices. Classy Xmas decoration and Olsi also came Out as Santa Claus to a Christmas song and handed out candy to all at Every table along with great uplifting holiday music. We found out the Santa appearance was as Olsi’s idea. It was great!! Olsi Also Looked great by the way! I don’t have time to talk more, but you can trust me that Michaelangelo will Be referred by us to other friends who visit!! It’s a must dine while in the city.

Our waiter, Olsi was wonderful! He made is a fun dining experience. The food was amazing. I ordered the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. The creme brulee was outstanding.

We got the restaurant recommendation from our hotel and were not disappointed. We ate homemade ravioli with mushroom filling and freshly grated truffles. Really very tasty. For dessert we had a dessert with tonka beans, not too sweet and therefore a successful ending for us (see photo).

A True Italian Gem. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—like we were part of their family. Their warmth and attentiveness truly set the tone for an amazing dining experience. The food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish was packed with authentic flavors that left us eager to come back for more. It’s rare to find a place where both the atmosphere and the cuisine shine this brightly. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

An unpleasant atmosphere because the owner constantly watches us while we eat.

The lady/staff seemed condescending and constantly watched us, which made me feel unwelcome. The food was okay, but the service unfortunately spoiled the overall impression.

The restaurant is very good, close to the principal city gate, beautiful atmosphere! The food was delicious, I have ate pumpkin raviolis, amazing! The service is excellent, the waiter Olsi was very professional, polite and friendly. It was raining when we left the restaurant, Olsi even borrowed his umbrella to us! We returned it on the day after, but unfortunately we did not meet him again. We super recommended it!

We loved this place and our waiter was truly delightful and attentive. I think his name was Ocsi? Then there's the food...delicious! We started with a scallop appetizer that came with a tomato stuffed with shrimp. YUM! We also split a great side salad. Then moved on to the Branzino entree prepared with pumpkin and potatoes cooked in a bag. My wife had the Carbonara and it was perfect! You can't miss here. Really wonderful dinner.

Michelangelo was an answer to our weary traveler prayers. No rez? No prob! They happily sat our fam of 4 and treated us like long-lost cousins. Food, drink, service all 5 star + an added bonus of a watch-lover waiter, bonding over rare American time pieces. Leave the gun, take the cannoli

For lunch on October 29, I ordered seafood pasta, but the mussels in it were not fresh. Diarrhea occurred half an hour later. Not recommended.

The food was very, very tasty, not the typical Italian food you usually know. The food is always served personally by the chef and is generally upscale, tasty Italian cuisine. We'd love to come back!

Very good quality food, prices are reosanable. The Salmon Lasagne and Creme Brullee were really good. This is the perfect place for dinner in “ob der Tauber”. I would recommend making a reservation since there aren’t many tables.

On Saturday there were 4 of us eating there because we made our annual trip to Rothenburg. Unfortunately, this day didn't turn out well because of the food there. I specially ordered a gluten-free alternative which unfortunately didn't arrive. Basically, you are also advised that not everything is 100% processed. This wouldn't have been a problem either. The service was sublime. The middle-aged lady with very short hair took the crown with her unfriendly behavior and snippy manner. The ambience was ok, rather cheap. Dirty glasses rounded everything off.

Homemade pasta to perfection... A poem from the beginning, look at the pictures for yourself... delicious is all I can say... I ordered an aperol vanilla spritz before dinner - good and reasonably priced. We also ordered a bottle of water and the €16 caprese salad, and wanted to wait till see what other courses we felt like after the salad.  However the waiter "demanded" we order the rest of our meal and any wine if desired.  So we did.  Before, I had taken 2 sips of my cocktail, the caprese arrived.  Unfortunately, the tomatoes were tasteless, almost no basil, the bufala mozz tasted like store bought, and served with cold white flavorless bread!   Then,  the 2 glasses of wine arrived.  I still had over 1/2 of my cocktail!  So I had to hurriedly finish my cocktail. Too rushed - not conducive to relaxing for an expensive meal. Shortly after they removed our salad plates, our mains arrived.  I had a delicious salmon and porcinis ravioli, and my wife had an equally delicious linguine with porcinis dish, both reasonably priced at under €18 each. Thankfully they didn't rush us anymore, and the rest of the meal was very pleasant. So, in summary, the caprese was poor and very expensive, and the service at the beginning of the meal was "upsetting",  but the rest of the meal was very pleasant.

Big praise to the restaurant. The food was so delicious, a complete taste explosion. The staff was super friendly. If I didn't live so far away, my favorite restaurant would be found here. Thank you for the wonderful evening.

The service was a bit slow, but the waiters were attentive and it was probably our classiest dining experience. This was a good place to order desserts, because it was almost a stand-alone operation with elaborate concoctions, and I got some mint and whipped cream thing where the chocolate ice cream was plentiful, but buried at the bottom.

Very nice atmosphere and nice restaurant, you immediately felt at home when you walked in. The food was very good, the selection, variety and quality of the ingredients was really a bit surprising. Service was also very friendly, even though we had to wait a little longer for some things, everything was still within limits. Cocktails and ice cream can only be recommended and are really reasonably priced.

Seemed very upscale for the area. Service was good, nice menu options, our spaghetti was was very good tasting and plenty for our lunch and some takeaway.

The food and drinks tasted wonderful. As a starter we had the spaghetti aglio oilo (forgive me for my bad Italian) and the spaghetti carbonara. For the main course there were 2 pizzas and pork fillet garnished with a pistachio cream. As a finish we chose the tiramisu. Overall the experience was wonderful and we had a very nice evening. P.S. This restaurant has outdoor and indoor seating. It is best to book in advance as it is very popular The service is slow but once you have ordered the food comes out quickly. We had a pizza and a pasta and both were excellent. We loved eating at this establishment

Everything was great, we immediately made reservation for the next day. Waiter was so friendly and gave great recommendations.

The signature salmon lasagna is a bit strong, but it tastes great when paired with a refreshing salad and wine. The salads at Italian restaurants never disappoint. All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal and the price was okay. I'm glad I came.

Incredibly delicious Italian restaurant! One of my favorites I’ve been to. Every dish was great and service was friendly.

My wife and I contacted the chef through email on September 17th and received confirmation for a reservation for 2 people on Wed Sept 25th. When we arrived, we were told by a gentleman that he can't see any email reservations and that the chef was on vacation. Even showing him the email from the chef had no effect. He said we could come back in 1.5 hrs if we wanted a table. Which we couldn't as we had plans. Not a great experience. I would make backup plans if you have a reservation here.

I wasn’t treated well, they seems treat Asian people differently, while treated others with warms and pleasant attitude, the contrast is too much, I ate myself there, the chef is great, the waiter is not nice at all

I was very disappointed that tiramisu in a glass was the worst thing I have ever eaten. For me it was a cream mixed together. With 3 spoons it was all, at a price of around €9 My husband's ice cream was without any decoration and watery. The staff was nice and couldn't make up for the trouble we had. Afterwards we went to another coffee where we were very satisfied.

Were in Rothenburg ob der Tauber today. A very nice day and THE FOOD was AWESOME my wife had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and I had a pizza marina it was EXTREMELY DELICIOUS.

Mediocre food, spaghetti carbonara not worth mentioning, 'grilled fish' (orade) cost €32.90. Would not recommend the restaurant or go there again.
