Eiscafé-Pizzeria Roma in Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Cozy Italian pizzeria, with very friendly staff. After the initial disappointment that there was no fish or mussels on the menu, I found pasta with pulp ragout on the daily menu. I've never seen that in any Italian restaurant. A great idea and I really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the second dish, Melanzane alla Parmigiana.

In the summer of 2018 we (my wife and parents) had dinner here, it was really delicious! The restaurant is located in a quiet street of Rothenburg O/D Tauber towards the old center. It was highly recommended and we will definitely eat here again this summer (2025)!

Looks like a German restaurant, lots of local families I had this meal at a restaurant where Italian food, pizza and pasta, tastes better than in Italy. It was ^^

Incredibly good restaurant!!!! We came without a reservation and were not turned away but were allowed to sit in the anteroom and wait for a table to become available. The service was brilliant, friendly and accommodating. Now for the food.......I had schnitzel with arrabiata sauce with salad and my wife had a vegetarian pizza with extra salmon. And we have to say: IT WAS A PLEASURE!!! And the quantity was plentiful. When we are in the area again we will come back!!!! With reservation ;-)

Delicious food and a cozy atmosphere.

Yesterday we from the Jaguar Club JAG JAGUAR ASSOCIATION GERMANY had our first lunch stop at RISTORANTE ROMA on this year's autumn trip and all section members were thrilled with the extensive selection on the menu, the lovingly prepared large portions and the exceptional quality as well as the unbeatable price-performance ratio the extremely friendly staff. We have been visiting the Roma privately for many years on our regular Sunday flight trips to EDFR ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER and this excellent restaurant has a steadily increasing fan base among the pilots of the flying clubs at the Herzogenaurach EDQH airfield.

Without a doubt an excellent restaurant. Quality, quantity, flavor and excellent price. Really very rich. He doesn't ask anything from any restaurant in Italy. Really authentic and very tasty. Congratulations.

1 star too much for such poor service

Horrible welcome ! Waited at the designated area to be seated and a waiter came and barely spoke to us claiming they are full with more than 8 empty tables right in front of us. Shameful for such a good rated restaurant in the beautiful city of Rothenburg

As soon as we entered, they treated us wonderfully, giving us a large table for two people, which we did not expect, as the place was somewhat crowded. We ordered the food, we were surprised by the price and quality 10/10. You can see the quantity in the photos, incredible. It was much cheaper than other restaurants we saw in the area. The place is decorated with taste, it is not the typical modern decoration that is now found in many places, but it had personality, and you can also choose inside or terrace. We even ordered dessert and we didn't even get to €25 for two people. Nice and professional waiters. If I returned to this town I would eat there again. They speak English well, and I think some of them also speak Italian, so you can communicate easily with them.

Highly recommend visiting Eiscafé Pizzeria! All of the food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. The pastas are offered in ful and half sizes. Pizzas can easily be shared between two people if they’re not super hungry. Also, the bathrooms were very clean and nice sized - which is great. The ravioli bolognese is absolutely worth trying. The Hawaiian pizza was sweet but very good.

We had tortellini bolognese which was very tasty.

One of the best food establishments in Rothenburg. Today we were here for the third time and we will definitely come back again. Very tasty, the portions are really big and filling. Attentive, but at the same time unobtrusive staff. But if you want to 100 percent get into this establishment, then book a table in advance, because the establishment is quite popular. Conclusion, definitely recommend.

Good prices, delicious food and nice service that keeps everything under control even when it's busier

the best pizza in town!! I love sitting outside here in the summer with a special atmosphere. The service is also very nice and cheerful & the restaurant has a very good price-performance ratio!

This place was packed every day, all day - and we know why! Me and my husband went here twice on our short stop in town, and we were happy with all the dishes! We had the lasagna, the pizza, and the pasta (yes we ordered and ate ALOT!! 😂) Food is fresh, staff is friendly, restaurant is nice. Service is a bit slow, as they are packed, to we could easily understand as we saw the staff running 🏃🏼‍♀️ from table to table. We went on, on our trip to Italy 🇮🇹 but still we had the best food experience right here! Amazing 😻

Excellent food and service! Reservation required. My husband had the baked meat pasta dish $12 euros, it was so delicious, a lots of meat and cheese. I had a mushrooms spinach omelette with salad $12 euros, both dishes were big portions, with 2 beers, the bill came to $31 euro and my husband gave $4 euro tip to the waiter, Cosmo for his good service. Highly recommended.

The store is totally hyped. In my opinion, wrongly so, because even though the food here is OK, it's not THAT great. In any case, it is almost impossible to get a place without a reservation. The prices are affordable and the service is reasonable considering the restaurant is always full. Update: on my second visit I was banished to the "cat table" next to the kitchen door. This should at least have been pointed out when making the reservation. As I said, the restaurant isn't THAT great that I'd rather have any table than none at all.

Worst service ever! 43 min just for taking your order.... and the restaurant is not nearly full.

Very nice staff and great dishes. What we found particularly great with two children was the fact that you can order small and large portions. We would love to come back to the restaurant when we are traveling through again. P.S. Our favorite is the lasagne. 🙂

Very nice restaurant in the center of Rothenburg. You can eat on site, but also take away. We did the latter: delicious pizzas for a great price!

It's not the first time I've gone to this pizzeria when I'm passing through Rothenburg. Very good pizzas, friendly welcome, and very financially accessible. No complaints !

We had an unexpected fantastic lunch at this restaurant. It was super hot and we were tired so popped in for a late meal before continuing our drive to Füssen. Service was efficient and friendly. We had the antipasto board and melon with prosciutto (specials menu) - both were fresh, tasty and very large portions! My limoncello spitz was super refreshing. Italian is my favourite food but I wasn't expecting to enjoy this meal so much.

Lively atmosphere & delicious pizza.

There were long queues at all the ice cream cafes around the town hall, so we went to Roma. And how lucky we were. So cozy with good service and the ice cream was amazingly good. Extremely nice staff, attentive and helpful. We are so glad we had the opportunity to eat here even though it was fully booked. Highly recommended.

Lovely place with good italian food, tried som of them Bruchetta, buffel mozzarella, pizzabread with garlic, risotto and ravioli. All of them was good, except the risotto that one was amazing. Good prices, and a tip is to book a table.

Food was delicious. The place has a good atmosphere and is clean. Prices are affordable. Reservation is required, but they also accept customers without reservation during off-peak hours.

As food, we ordered 4 cheese pasta and Napoli pasta. The 4-cheese legend, Napoli, was successful. I posted a photo of it as a beer, and it was very successful too. It's a place that still keeps its kitchen open at 21:00 (don't forget this) but serves legendary delicious food..

Extremely good pizza, top service: even extra requests were fulfilled in an absolutely uncomplicated and completely correct manner. Great value for money! Very busy in the evenings, make sure you make a reservation. We'd love to come back!

Very tasty Italian with good prices and if you're slightly hungry, there is the option for a cheaper small portion from the large selection of pasta. My girlfriend, for whom a normal portion is usually too much, was pleasantly surprised at the possibility of a "small" portion and was full every time. It would probably be too big for children. The service was very friendly. You don't need a reservation at 5 p.m., after that it's recommended to reserve a table. We were here twice and each time we were very satisfied and full afterwards.

My homies and I come regularly and always have a great time without exception ❤️ The food is delicious, the value for money is great and the owners are really friendly and familiar. I can recommend it to everyone! If you don't know what to order, go for the salmon pasta. 🤌

A day trip to Rothenburg ob der Tauber is great in itself. Then discovered this TOP Italian restaurant and got a really carefree package 👍 Food absolutely delicious👍👍❗️ Price/performance is unbeatable❗️ The staff very nice and attentive. Even the toilets are in an absolutely clean condition, which you can't really say about many restaurants❗️ 👍Overall grade 1+👍

Unfortunately it is often fully booked, but not without reason! Pretty much the best Italian food you can get here. Pizza geile also tastes like a great pizza, even though I don't like some of the toppings on the pizza. Schnitzel Bolognese is always a dream. Service is always nice and courteous. There's often a nightcap on the house too. The ambience in the new location is also wonderful. All in all a great restaurant.

I give two stars for reasonable prices and friendly service. I can't believe the comments about the food at this restaurant. Why these high ratings? My food was very poor. The pizza was tough and heavy. Ingredients of low quality, tasteless. The cream of tomato soup was too salty, orange color, full of cheese and zero tomato flavor. In my opinion, this place confirms the claim that not every Italian knows how to make pizza, just as not every Frenchman knows how to make snails and a Pole knows how to make good pierogi. Sorry but this is my opinion about the food in this restaurant.

Well-attended restaurant where you should definitely make a reservation. The restaurant is nicely furnished and has plenty of space. Not too crowded although there would be space. The service is very nice and quick. Even with larger companies, everything happens at the same time. The food itself was very tasty and looked very good on the other plates too. Price and performance definitely match. Gladly again and again.

We came here for lunch and ordered a Hawaiian Pizza, three alcoholic drinks, a salmon tagliatelle and a carbonara. All was absolutely fantastic, but the carbonara was horrendous. The eggs were all scrambled and pasta was stuck together, and when asked the waiter about this, she dismissed our concerns, saying it was part of the dish. Was difficult to finish the carbonara dish. Overall, everything was fab tasting besides the carbonara.

We were lucky to find a spot without reservation. The food and atmosphere are great. What I liked about the menu is, the pastas are offered in normal and small portions. The prices are surprisingly cheap as well. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who's touring Rothenburg.

One of the best and cheapest restaurant in Rothenburg. We tried different types of Pasta here and all the pastas were nice and tasty. The small portion of Pastas also costed from 5.5 to 7 Euros which is cheapest I found in Germany. And the taste of Pasta is also really nice. The Resturant is full so please reserve a table and go. We were lucky to find a table without reservation maybe because it was not peak season. But if you get a chance surely give it a try!!! Highly Recommended !!!

Although you had to wait a bit for service, the service was friendly and the preparation didn't take long. The pizzas were fairly inexpensive at €7-11 and were quite okay. The Mimma pizza (a mixed topping pizza) was quite interesting. I don't want to prejudge anything, but if you have a good stomach and want a nice lunch, you can give it a try.

Had lunch here during a day trip and fortified ourselves. Pizza and lasagna highly recommended. Service quick and friendly.
