Wunderschönes Hotel. Rustikal eingerichtet. Köstliches Essen.

Sehr schönes Hotel in ruhiger, angenehmer Lage. Zimmer sehr großzügig und sehr sauber. Parkplätze gleich auf dem Hof und im Preis inklusive. Ebenso inklusiv ist ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet gewesen. Man hat außerdem die Möglichkeit, ein leckeres Abendessen im hauseigenen urigen Restaurant zu essen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen.

Die Zimmer sind mit zwei zusammengeklappten Betten ausgestattet. Es sollte ein Doppelbett sein. Abgesehen davon war alles ausgezeichnet. Ausgezeichnet: WLAN 10 Lage 9, da es nicht in der Altstadt liegt, aber man erreicht sie in 20 Minuten zu Fuß entlang der Tauberstraße – wirklich schön Kostenlose Parkplätze 10 Atmosphäre im Hotel 10 Frühstück 10

Rustikales Hotel im Taubertal. 25 min. zu Fuß nach Rothenburg. Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen, sehr freundliches Personal und sehr sauber. Das Früstück ist reichhaltig und gut. Auch das Restaurant können wir nur empfehlen. Wir hatten einen gelungenen Aufenthalt.

Wir waren dort essen und waren durchweg begeistert. Es hat alles geschmeckt und der Sevice war immer freundlich und zuvorkommend obwohl es immer voller wurde. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, kommen wir gern wieder

Trotz, das das Hotel schon etliche Jahre auf dem Buckel hat, waren die Zimmer im sehr gutem Zustand und sauber. Der kleine Balkon war ebenfalls mit einem Sonnenschirm und Tisch, Stühlen sehr gut. Das Frühstück war nicht das größte aber trotzdem gut, frische Brötchen und keine Aufbackware. Rührei mit und ohne Speck, eigentlich alles da außer Croissants, braucht man eh nicht. Zum Preis ( lastminute) von 70.20€ inklusive Frühstück waren wir positiv überrascht. Falls wir noch ein Mal in die Region kommen, gerne jederzeit wieder, sehr empfehlenswert.

Auch hier haben wir auf unserer Motorradtour eine Nacht verbracht. Sehr gepflegt und sauber. Zimmer war etwas altbacken aber für unsere Zwecke absolut ok. Frühstück war sehr gut. Parkmöglichkeiten gab's ausreichend. Abendessen waren wir auswärts daher keine Bewertung. Ein Hotel mit Geschichte. Bis in die Innenstadt ca. 25 Minuten zu Fuß. Wir sind mit Taxi gefahren.. 12 Euro. Denke wir würden wiederkommen 👍

wir sind zufällig auf unserer Radtour am Schwarzen Lamm vorbei gekommen. Wir hatten Schnitzel mit Pommes bestellt. Bekamen erst ein Schnitzel mit Rösti und Soße. Da wir nur mit pommes bestellt hatten kam der selbe Teller mit extra Pommes zurück. Wir wollten keine Pilz Soße. Zumal die Soße absolut nicht gut war. Naja , wir haben das Schnitzel und die Pommes dann gegessen. Danach hatten wir einen Erdbeer Kuchen bestellt. Dieser war eine Torte mit Erdbeeren und Rhabarber. Wir haben pro Tortenstück 5.50 Euro bezahlt. Das ist sehr unverschämt. Schade, uns hat es insgesamt leider nicht so gefallen.

Das Restaurant ist sehr gut, mit regionaler Küche und ungarischen Gerichten. Sehr lecker. Das Hotel liegt in einem ruhigen Vorort/ Dorf. Die Altstadt ist fußläufig in 30min erreichbar.

"You get what you pay for" would be an unfair assessment given the very low price. Yes, it's an old building and some of the fixtures aren't exactly modern, but they're perfectly acceptable – even with a bit of black mold in the silicone sealant of the shower (No. 4). The breakfast buffet is unusually generous for the price of the room and even includes two kinds of freshly made scrambled eggs! The restaurant, the service, and the food were all excellent – ​​I wish we could find something like this north of the Weißwurst equator. In short: Not a 5-star hotel, but a good country inn with excellent value for money.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures, but the food was absolutely top-notch. I couldn't detect any convenience food in either the soup or the main course. The soup broth was definitely homemade, and the schnitzel was cooked in a pan, not in a deep fryer like in many places. The beef stroganoff was excellent, and the wine and beer were also excellent. As for the service, you'll still find old-school fare here, which I find entirely positive. A definite recommendation in my opinion!

Nice country inn, clean rooms with comfortable beds (room 8), decent breakfast, and a friendly welcome. Rothenburg town center is about a 25-minute walk away, or a 4-minute drive away. Parking is available directly at the property.

We were extremely satisfied in every respect: a lovely, modern, bright room, a spacious, modern bathroom. Two large, bright breakfast rooms with an extensive buffet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Good value for money. The example photo of the room is 10c, the other is one of the two spacious, pleasant breakfast rooms. So, everything was top-notch here. We'll keep that in mind and would be happy to come back.

We always make a stopover when we travel to Austria and stay at the Schwarzes Lamm. The hotel is located in a small village within walking distance of Rothenburg am Tauber, a village you should definitely visit. The hotel is in a great location, with easy parking. The rooms are clean, and the food is excellent. In good weather, you can even sit outside.

Rudest staff ever. Absolutely not recommended.

Perfect home-style cooking – with Hungarian specialties. And impeccable service. From the soup (healing the heart and soul) to the sensational Pörkölt (often called goulash), the Palatschinken (ultra-delicious pancakes), and the Cream Puff Cake – simply fantastic! The restaurant, with its original old oven, is worth a visit in itself. The host family embodies the kind of hospitality guests dream of.

It's a shame that, despite having ample space outside, we were relegated to the darkest, furthest corner inside because we weren't allowed to push tables together outside with seven people. We then decided to try another restaurant. If the turnover from seven adults isn't desired, business seems to be doing well.

A lot of emails on Booking.com, long, heavy, and ultimately very annoying. They're trying to get us to pay, pay, pay before our arrival... When everything was pre-booked and secured on Booking.com! Indecent, rude, rude, and so useless. Why not trust Booking.com visitors? Especially if they have more than 200 reservations and have already provided all their information! No warmth, just a huge interest in making money! You can feel it from the moment you arrive. No smile or hello from the owner... In short, there are so many places to stay in the area that it's best to AVOID THIS PLACE! The area smells like cows... Yuck!

The restaurant is located below Rothenburg ob der Tauber, in a small village with beautiful surroundings that are perfect for strolling in any season. Parking is a bit confusing, and on a hot summer day, many spaces fill up quickly. When the crowds are high, service can take a while, but the staff remains extremely polite. Once your order is placed, drinks and food arrive quite quickly. The food itself is regional with Croatian/Southeastern European influences. The portions are filling, even if not everything is prepared in the most unusual or creative way. Vegetarian dishes and dessert options are somewhat limited. You get down-to-earth cuisine here that is filling and tastes good. Ideal for a pleasant evening after a long excursion or a strenuous hike. Not recommended for those with a more discerning taste.

The restaurant is nice overall, and it's especially positive that dogs are allowed. However, we found it a bit of a shame that – despite there being enough space – three dogs were placed at three adjacent tables. Furthermore, there was unfortunately no water for the dogs, which is something we would really like to see in terms of service. It was good that we were informed in advance that the food might take a little longer due to a large event. However, it actually arrived relatively quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. We found it a shame that we couldn't pay separately at the end – we wanted to pay once with cash and once with a card, which unfortunately wasn't possible. The food itself was okay, and the value for money was also good, but overall nothing special. While there are a few vegetarian dishes, the selection is rather limited. All in all, a solid restaurant with room for improvement in terms of organization and service.

Quiet hotel just outside Rothenburg odT, just under 2km walk uphill to the city center and 4km by bike. Ideally located for the Tauber cycle path. Service is friendly, rooms are very different in terms of equipment, ours was cramped for 3 adults, even though we had booked a 4-person room. Old charm. Restaurant was ok, simple food, a bit "deep fryer-heavy"... but not very cheap and strangely not payable through the hotel bill. Overall, thank you for the hospitality.

I stayed here in 2002 and have not forgotten how beautiful the surroundings are, how amazing the service was, and how incredibly clean and comfy the rooms were. This was our first night in Germany and the food was so phenomenal. It was a wonderful welcome to a wonderful country. I hope to someday bring my daughter over to stay here as well!

Extraordinary site more than 400 years old with a charming location, restaurant recommended for its menu and staff

Very friendly service. Upscale prices. My shoulder of pork was overcooked and had a wobbly rind, no crust. The sauce was very salty. The crispy red cabbage had probably been under the salamander for too long. I complained, didn't give a tip, and they didn't say goodbye. We won't be coming back.

A somewhat outdated inn. Impresses with its good location, just a few minutes by car from Rothenburg. Clean but not modern. Breakfast buffet was good. However, the mattresses are very uncomfortable!

The staff was very friendly and we were very happy with the Christmas atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel also has great free parking facilities.

One of the best meals I've ever had. After a stroll along the Tauber River, being able to stop and recharge your batteries in this centuries-old place is priceless. The lamb was cooked to perfection, the potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the sauce was bursting with flavors, perfect to accompany a wonderful beer. 10/10

The room is very clean and comfortably furnished, the style suits Rothenburg. The shower promises great things, but then it doesn't deliver. Some of the nozzles were broken. We stayed at the Hotel Goldenes Lamm for 3 nights. The rooms are ok but more of a 70s style. Showering in the bathtub with a shower curtain. It's been out of fashion for a long time. Restaurant ok, but closes at 9 p.m. Service very slow and not friendly. All in all you don't really feel welcome. I cannot recommend the hotel. Tip: Eat in the campsite restaurant. Very good and nice service. Prices reasonable.

As you can see on the empty plate, it actually tasted good. For one more star, the pork loin would have had to have been taken out of the pan 2-4 minutes earlier. I have no idea why everyone always has to roast pork to death... The chanterelle sauce was very good. But... I certainly haven't had homemade croquettes for decades. As a rule, everything is always TK. But these were really particularly good... Unfortunately, the meal was a bit spoiled when we wanted pancakes. This would be from... Excuse me??? No flour, eggs and milk? Can't tell me! I just didn't feel like it anymore and messed up a review. What a shame!

We can only rate the restaurant. My husband's Schäufele was good. The red cabbage was almost cold but tasted good. I had the feeling that my Cordon Bleu was TK. But it wasn't bad in taste. However, I had fries that were so hard that I couldn't even pick them with a fork. The waitress also asked later whether everything was OK. I told her that you couldn't eat the fries. She offered to bring new ones. But I only had a few pieces of meat left and politely declined. I had meanwhile eaten the salad with it. However, she still charged for the fries. That really annoyed me I had to pay €3.9 for fries that you couldn't eat.

We had dinner here today. The food was very tasty, and the beer even more so. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable. If you want to go hiking or cycling, this is an ideal stopover to recharge your batteries.

Unfortunately the heating was switched off when the outside temperature was around 10°. The rooms were correspondingly cold. Bathroom very narrow.

This isn't the first time we've visited the Black Lamb. But now the food has fallen to below the snack bar level, while the prices remain the same. The only thing that had taste was the beer and the ketchup. The staff, who really try to maintain the professional appearance of this restaurant, have a really hard time and notice it every day, especially when it comes to tips.

We were there for dinner, it was very tasty, all the tables were occupied, we were there relatively early and got a table straight away. Some people were asked to come back in about half an hour, and everyone did that...a good sign

Unfortunately, miserable food! Turkey breast and Rießenschnitzel from the freezer are heated until crispy in the deep fryer. No locally sourced meat pan fried as advertised. The mushroom sauce for the turkey breast was a white, thick mass. The hash browns are also frozen and briefly put in the deep fryer. Totally overpriced due to the quality. We won't come again. It's a shame because of the good atmosphere in the beer garden and the location of two great campsites.

A lovely small hotel in an idyllic location within walking distance of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The rooms are clean, although we had a very small bathroom. It might be problematic for taller people. The decor is traditional and cozy. We had booked a room with a dog online, but when we arrived this seemed to be a problem. But generally the owners are dog-friendly and the beer garden is also recommended. The breakfast in the morning was rich and very tasty!

Old venerable house with character. There is an old building and a new building built on top of it. Nice terrace at the restaurant. Quietly located and just a few minutes from the city center of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber removed. Friendly hosts and rooms clean. Breakfast delicious and absolutely sufficient, varied. Free parking in the courtyard or on the street opposite. We felt good. Thanks for that.

We ate dinner at the Gashof Schwarzes Lamm today because of the good reviews. Today was an extremely hot day and we were looking forward to the beer garden. First we had to wait 10 minutes in front of the beer garden in the sun until someone took their time and we got a table. Ordering went relatively quickly. I also asked for water for our dog. It was answered yes but the water never came. My husband's Schäufele was very good. My so-called giant schnitzel Viennese style was huge but the meat was almost impossible to cut. It was kind of funny. Side dish had to be ordered separately. I decided on hash browns. I was actually looking forward to it. What came cheapest frozen hash browns. That wasn't worth 19 euros. Many people stood for ages until they were noticed and given a seat. It took forever until we could pay because the only person who took orders and collected them disappeared for 20 minutes. It's actually a shame, as this inn really benefits from the two campsites and in my opinion they take full advantage of that in terms of service and quality.

Bed/mattresses very comfortable, pillows definitely too flat/fluffy. A second pillow could help here. View of the greenery. Secure parking in the backyard. Good WiFi network in the house, no reception on the terrace. Hotel is very quiet. Very tasty food in the in-house restaurant - recommended! Large breakfast buffet - almost everything you could want. And all of this is just a 3-minute drive from Rothenburg. We felt very comfortable and we know where we will stay when we go to Rothenburg again!

Great hotel, just outside the town, but the walk in is not far and there is a lovely beer garden on the way. The rooms were comfortable and we had a nice meal in the evening. Breakfast was really nice, would recommend.

Actually it's a shame... The food was very good. The beer garden is not open when the house is full and the weather is nice. The air in the restaurant is stuffy and you have to go to sleep at 9:45 p.m.!!! In my opinion, not suitable for moped drivers, despite Calimoto's recommendation. And this is not due to any special circumstances.

My husband and I ate there a few days ago. My husband ate lamb, my husband was happy and he liked it, and it was attractively presented. Unfortunately my meal was very disappointing, how can you present a trout that was, by the way, very good like that. The trout was on a salad that was more than bad, tasteless iceberg lettuce, flavorless watery tomatoes and cucumbers with a ready-made salad sauce. Money question? Then it's better to change the price and in my opinion at least a few potatoes are included. It doesn't have to be a lot. And then please lemon wedges and not slices, which can be expressed better. Such a shame, but I will remember this meal.

We were here for an open air cinema, which unfortunately was canceled due to storms, but at least we were able to get out and have a drink in this cozy, rustic restaurant.

We went cycling with a group in the beautiful Taubertal. I really liked the accommodation at the Black Lamm and would book there again at any time. Room was large and very clean, although older furnishings, but that wasn't a problem. Breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent and plentiful. Excellent location for our planned bike tours along the Tauber. Direct proximity to Rothenburg. Friendly staff, free parking and bicycle storage. Would book there again at any time.

We ate black lamb in the inn. The food was very tasty and very large portions. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The service was nice and the beer was tasty. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the hotel because we were only guests at the restaurant. We would happily give the restaurant a full five points again.

After our vacation in a new apartment complex on Lake Garda, our stopover was an extreme crash in terms of design. If I ignore that, it was a typical old Bavarian inn with nice service and a good breakfast.

My husband and I were only able to enjoy the hospitality of the house in the restaurant. Since we decided in advance to stop there for dinner this evening. The service and the food were excellent. Absolutely recommended. Price performance ratio top.

We stayed there for one night in a family room for an absolutely fair price. Had a decent meal in the evening and had a great breakfast the next morning. The car was parked for free and there was also WiFi. The facility is getting old, but everything was clean and tidy. There was no reason to complain. In about 15 minutes on foot you are directly in Rothenburg.
