Unfortunately, miserable food! Turkey breast and Rießenschnitzel from the freezer are heated until crispy in the deep fryer. No locally sourced meat pan fried as advertised. The mushroom sauce for the turkey breast was a white, thick mass. The hash browns are also frozen and briefly put in the deep fryer. Totally overpriced due to the quality. We won't come again. It's a shame because of the good atmosphere in the beer garden and the location of two great campsites.

A lovely small hotel in an idyllic location within walking distance of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The rooms are clean, although we had a very small bathroom. It might be problematic for taller people. The decor is traditional and cozy. We had booked a room with a dog online, but when we arrived this seemed to be a problem. But generally the owners are dog-friendly and the beer garden is also recommended. The breakfast in the morning was rich and very tasty!

Unfortunately I can only rate the food as we didn't use the hotel. The goulash soup was underground and full of glutamate. The apple strudel was most likely a ready-made product. We definitely won't eat here again…

Old venerable house with character. There is an old building and a new building built on top of it. Nice terrace at the restaurant. Quietly located and just a few minutes from the city center of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber removed. Friendly hosts and rooms clean. Breakfast delicious and absolutely sufficient, varied. Free parking in the courtyard or on the street opposite. We felt good. Thanks for that.

Very tasty schnitzel and great goulash. Fast and friendly service. The carousel for children in the beer garden is also great. Gladly again!

Very friendly reception, uncomplicated check-in. Very clean, spacious room with a balcony, or more like a winter garden. Very cleverly done. Bathroom a bit small, but sufficient. Bed/mattresses very comfortable, pillows definitely too flat/fluffy. A second pillow could help here. View of the greenery. Secure parking in the backyard. Good WiFi network in the house, no reception on the terrace. Hotel is very quiet. Very tasty food in the in-house restaurant - recommended! Large breakfast buffet - almost everything you could want. And all of this is just a 3-minute drive from Rothenburg. We felt very comfortable and we know where we will stay when we go to Rothenburg again!

We ate dinner at the Gashof Schwarzes Lamm today because of the good reviews. Today was an extremely hot day and we were looking forward to the beer garden. First we had to wait 10 minutes in front of the beer garden in the sun until someone took their time and we got a table. Ordering went relatively quickly. I also asked for water for our dog. It was answered yes but the water never came. My husband's Schäufele was very good. My so-called giant schnitzel Viennese style was huge but the meat was almost impossible to cut. It was kind of funny. Side dish had to be ordered separately. I decided on hash browns. I was actually looking forward to it. What came cheapest frozen hash browns. That wasn't worth 19 euros. Many people stood for ages until they were noticed and given a seat. It took forever until we could pay because the only person who took orders and collected them disappeared for 20 minutes. It's actually a shame, as this inn really benefits from the two campsites and in my opinion they take full advantage of that in terms of service and quality.

Our room (family of four plus pet dog) was large, comfortable and very clean; excellent value for money. The restaurant Is really good, too. Definitely recommended!

Great hotel, just outside the town, but the walk in is not far and there is a lovely beer garden on the way. The rooms were comfortable and we had a nice meal in the evening. Breakfast was really nice, would recommend.

Actually it's a shame... The food was very good. The beer garden is not open when the house is full and the weather is nice. The air in the restaurant is stuffy and you have to go to sleep at 9:45 p.m.!!! In my opinion, not suitable for moped drivers, despite Calimoto's recommendation. And this is not due to any special circumstances.

Had a very nice meal (venison stew) and good beer at a reasonable price. Very friendly staff and card payments accepted.

My husband and I ate there a few days ago. My husband ate lamb, my husband was happy and he liked it, and it was attractively presented. Unfortunately my meal was very disappointing, how can you present a trout that was, by the way, very good like that. The trout was on a salad that was more than bad, tasteless iceberg lettuce, flavorless watery tomatoes and cucumbers with a ready-made salad sauce. Money question? Then it's better to change the price and in my opinion at least a few potatoes are included. It doesn't have to be a lot. And then please lemon wedges and not slices, which can be expressed better. Such a shame, but I will remember this meal.

We were here for an open air cinema, which unfortunately was canceled due to storms, but at least we were able to get out and have a drink in this cozy, rustic restaurant.

We went cycling with a group in the beautiful Taubertal. I really liked the accommodation at the Black Lamm and would book there again at any time. Room was large and very clean, although older furnishings, but that wasn't a problem. Breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent and plentiful. Excellent location for our planned bike tours along the Tauber. Direct proximity to Rothenburg. Friendly staff, free parking and bicycle storage. Would book there again at any time.

What a delicious meal we had here. A delicious tomato soup and a great trout. Very friendly service!

We ate black lamb in the inn. The food was very tasty and very large portions. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The service was nice and the beer was tasty. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the hotel because we were only guests at the restaurant. We would happily give the restaurant a full five points again.

Stop at the restaurant during our bike tour. Many thanks to the kitchen and the friendly service. During our 10-day Taubertal bike tour, this was the tastiest break. Everything fresh and tasteful.

After our vacation in a new apartment complex on Lake Garda, our stopover was an extreme crash in terms of design. If I ignore that, it was a typical old Bavarian inn with nice service and a good breakfast.

We only stayed at the inn and can only recommend the food. Very very good 👍 The service is very nice and responds to the guests' wishes.

My husband and I were only able to enjoy the hospitality of the house in the restaurant. Since we decided in advance to stop there for dinner this evening. The service and the food were excellent. Absolutely recommended. Price performance ratio top.

Perfect place to stay. Lovely nice people

We stayed there for one night in a family room for an absolutely fair price. Had a decent meal in the evening and had a great breakfast the next morning. The car was parked for free and there was also WiFi. The facility is getting old, but everything was clean and tidy. There was no reason to complain. In about 15 minutes on foot you are directly in Rothenburg.

Located exactly between the town's two campsites. In summer you can sit outside and otherwise enjoy a cozy dining room inside. Visits with dogs allowed. Entrance is at ground level. Food was varied, fresh and tasty. However, the soup is more of a broth with added ingredients. Also a good selection if someone wants to eat vegetarian. Friendly staff, good service and value for money. Parking spaces at the house. Cashless payment possible.

As a returning guest, I did not have to be disappointed. The hotel and the hotel rooms were clean, the breakfast was plentiful. The restaurant is cozy, the food is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

We stayed there for one night while passing through. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is large and even has a window. Our dog was also welcome. The food in the restaurant is top, as is the breakfast. So absolute recommendation.

Beautiful, idyllic hotel with an inn. This was our second time here. Very friendly hosts. Everything very clean. The breakfast buffet and the food is great.

I only rate the restaurant. I didn't use the hotel. The guest room is a little old, but it has inn charm. I like that kind of thing 🤩! The boss/service was very attentive and nice. Was in the mood for a little chat...well, it's New Year's and we were the only guests, which is a shame. Because: The food was great! Everything was done in-house. Even the croquettes are hand rolled! The schnitzel? 🤤🤤. The cheese spaetzle with fresh & homemade fried onions? 🤤🤤. The portions? Think about whether you are hungry enough for 2 dishes...🥴🤤🤤🤩🤩. I can't repeat everything here, but if you haven't had the Black Lamb on your screen yet: give it a try!! Depressing... Our room was not clean upon arrival. The pictures show, among other things: my wipes from the respective bedside tables to the left and right of the bed (which has the feeling of lying on hard floor instead of mattresses). I also found the (urine) splashes on the toilet when we arrived. Strangely enough, there is a carpet rolled up on the roof in front of the window. The "flair" may be okay as an overnight accommodation for mechanics, but for a vacation it's really depressing. The bathroom at least has been renovated a bit, well, at least that... "there is no place like home" Update: breakfast was fine. Hence 2 stars instead of 1 AND: based on the review, the rotten carpet in front of the window was removed.

Half an hour walking from Rotherburg, uphill. The place ist nice, the room was ok, the breakfast buffet was ok but the mattresses were really hard :(

Habe nur gegessen aber alles sehr gut. Waren mit Hund 🐕 da und die Bedienung hat darauf geachtet die Leute richtig zu verteilen.

Baráti társasággal érkeztünk a fogadtatás fantasztikus volt az alkalmazottak nagyon barátságosak! A reggeli kitünő az alacarte étlapon széles a választék! A szobák tiszták és rendezettek. Jó szívvel ajánlom mindenkinek.

A nice hotel near Rothenburg (but not in Rothenburg!). Staff were really helpful and let us check in even though we arrived very late.

Waren als Campingplatzbesucher nur zum Essen dort und waren sehr zufrieden. Leckeres Essen und netter Service. Das Restaurant ist zu empfehlen

Alles Ok. Es gibt immer was zu Meckern aber ich bin zufrieden Zimmer Sauber Personal nett hilfsbereit. Das Hotel hatt super internet. Das Restaurant gemüdlich Speisen sind übersichtlich und erschwinglich. Alles im allen ich werde das Haus weiter empfehlen. Und das beste es ist ruhig und abgelegen das man das Frühstück verpennen könnte
