Nice restaurant on the square. The service was friendly and even found us a table inside when it rained, even though it was full. The hake and schnitzel were delicious. Payment was only cash.

Definitely the best roast with dumplings ever

Very attractive restaurant with a prime location right on the main square. Four of us dined there and were very satisfied. We had three shoulders of pork and a roast. All very tasty and generous portions. The price was reasonable for the location, but not cheap. We can recommend it without hesitation.

We spontaneously spent a wonderful evening with a stunning view of the market. Our service was super friendly and the food delicious. We highly recommend the Schäuferla, in particular!

We're totally shocked and feel ripped off. Not only did we wait forever for absolutely bland, tasteless food, but it was completely random who got their food when. People who came after us got their food easily 20 minutes before us! And as if that wasn't enough, we were charged even more when paying than stated on the menu! Plus, you can't pay with a card! Absolutely a disgrace and never again!! Stay away from this place.

Unfortunately, we were absolutely not impressed with this restaurant. First, the food: We waited forever! From the time we ordered until the food finally arrived, it took almost an hour. Even though we arrived early and ordered earlier, other tables that came after us received their food long before us! We were simply ignored and passed over! And this despite there being hardly any customers. Completely unacceptable. The service was correspondingly poor. Unfriendly, disinterested, and we felt like we were a nuisance. But the worst part came at the end: We were clearly cheated on the bill! They simply tried to charge us more. This isn't an accident, it's brazen! We feel absolutely ripped off!

We were there on a Saturday evening and luckily had made a reservation the previous lunchtime. The service and food were everything you'd expect from a good, home-style restaurant. The prices are very fair for the location.

We wanted to have a drink, but that's only possible if everyone orders something to eat, otherwise there are no drinks, that's not possible at all. I think that has nothing to do with hospitality. I can only advise against a visit.

The food was excellent. The schnitzel and cordon bleu were oversized, with fries and sauce. No vegetables. The salad was tasty, but the beef was overcooked. The only vegetarian option was delicious: a pancake with vegetables and cheese and a fresh salad. We needed some time to decide what we wanted to eat and whether we wanted to stay, as there was only one vegetarian option. We had a hard time finding a place. The woman who helped us didn't understand us, or is naturally less flexible, but she wasn't friendly for the rest of the dinner, but obligatory politeness with an angry expression. The other waiters were very friendly. You have to pay in cash, but the bank is across the street. The outdoor terrace was pleasant.

Location is perfect and the prices are very good. They took us last minute before the kitchen closed and the lady was super nice. The food was delicious. I recommend the ravioli and the meat loaf 👌

This review regards the restaurant only: food and wine is quite average as for Polish standards (Polish cuisine is a hybrid of Slavic and German), but at the same time, due to the restaurant's prime location, it's overpriced. Overall, nothing special and not really worth it.

Went here to eat. Food is reasonably priced given its location near the main square. Food was okay to good, I recommend getting the meat loaf with side of potatoes since that was the most tasteful- better to skip the potato balls since they don’t have much flavor 😶 Potato balls genuinely surprised me— never encountered food that actually had 0 flavor. I don’t know if that’s what the Germans intended. But, overall, good choice to eat if you really want to eat at the main square 🥔

Looked cozy but was a bit tame. Simple menu. Got an okay beef soup (broth) with a crumble of leek and strips of pancake. A bit of a funny mix, but tasted okay. Afterwards fried ravioli-like rolls with scrambled eggs and salad. The salad had a somewhat sour pink dressing on it. My wife got trout with potatoes, but no sauce or just butter for the potatoes. Trout was good, but the side dishes were boring. Service was quick, too quick. Okay, but not worth the price

We came to this restaurant and took the last free table. We ordered some local dishes and all were very delicious. The service was very quick and friendly. The prices were not high.

First of all: we were only in the restaurant and therefore cannot give a rating for the room. The restaurant is simple and rustic, but not uncomfortable. The service is very attentive and friendly, the food is delicious. It's not a special place, but you don't always have to eat at the upper class. And if you just want to eat out, the Golden Lamm is highly recommended.

We ate here last Saturday at a company outing and it was very good. It went very quickly and everyone received their pre-ordered dish very quickly. Very friendly staff and the food tastes good. The prices were no higher than in other restaurants in the city.

Way too expensive for the amount of food! The schnitzel is very thin and unfortunately there isn't even a salad with it. The restaurant itself is beautifully and comfortably designed. It's also very clean. Unfortunately I don't think it's recommended.

The location of the place was really good, good spot to take a drink, we ordered a sausage and fries but for my personal opinion I really don't like it. I went to this place in Ocotber the weather was starting ti get a bit cold and they keep it really warm with heater in the chairs.

Wie das Lokal von einigen mit 5 Punkten bewertet werden ist uns ein Rätsel. Der Service war das beste im Lokal. Die Möbel im Lokal abgeranzt und fleckig. Die Schnitzel waren alles aber nicht frisch zubereitet, eher Tiefkühlkost 😩 Ein Glas Rose 0,2l für 8,60 € ist eine Frechheit. Der zweite Punkt ist nur weil das Personal recht freundlich war

We were there for lunch at lunchtime today. The service was very friendly. Everything seemed very comfortable. The taste of the food was very mixed for the price. But what I found much worse was the juice spritzer for 4.80 euros from Gut und Günstig. Just like the totally overpriced iced tea on offer, it's also good and cheap. The bottles were open at the counter so you could see them. The toilets were dirty, it didn't seem like fresh dirt. We will no longer visit or recommend this restaurant. Card payment also not possible.

My family and I celebrated Christmas in Rothenburg and we had our wonderful Christmas feast at the Goldenes Lamm! This was one of the best decisions we ever made because this restaurant was the best in Rothenburg! We have been to this lovely town twice already and our meals at Goldenes Lamm have been the highlight each time. The staff are warm and welcoming, the ambience is on point and the food is absolutely delicious!! I had the steak done medium rare and I still dream of this mouth-watering meal often! The staff speak perfect English and they accommodated every single weird culinary request my family made. Words cannot express how excited I am to return!! Thank you so much for a wonderful Christmas <3

We had lunch here today for lunch, two adults and two small children (5 years and 7 months old) and it was just great! The restaurant itself is very cozy and you immediately feel at home. The service was so friendly and accommodating and, above all, child-oriented. The food was very tasty, fresh and beautifully presented. We'd love to come back when we get the chance!

The location and service are good. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. We had tenderloin with pepper sauce and bread dumplings with mushroom cream sauce. Both dishes were very tasteless. The prices are also a bit high and inappropriate for the quality. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it.

If I could give 6/5 stars, I would! Goldenes Lammes in Rothenburg is hands-down the best restaurant I’ve ever been to in Germany. I spent Christmas dinner here, and it was absolutely perfect. The roast beef was insanely good and the cheese pancakes were so creamy and well seasoned. They even let me switch out the spätzle for roast potatoes and gave me more fried onions when I asked for them with a huge smile on their face! The vibe is so cozy and rustic, and the staff were SO nice. They were so accomodating even when changed my reservation twice. The apple struedel with ice cream and whipped cream was absolutely delicious and divine - not too sweet or tarty! The portions for everything are huge, the prices are super reasonable, and honestly, I’d save up just to go back again. Lastly, they were open all day on Christmas, which was amazing because literally everywhere else was closed. And even after that, the place was still packed for a reason. If you’re ever in Rothenburg, you HAVE to go. Best meal, best vibes, best everything. 1000% recommend!!!

Nice restaurant. Very nice staff even in the Christmas rush. There are reasonable prices here. Fried Maultaschen with scrambled eggs and a large salad are available for €14.90. It was delicious and the salad was fresh.

DOGS NOT WELCOME! We've been here for dinner several times over the last few years, not world class but good home cooking. For the second time we had our dog with us... In May we were quite reluctantly given a table and it was already said that big dogs stink, but it was positively and surprisingly discovered that our dog neither smells nor makes any noise, he just sleeps! Now to the current visit: When we asked if they had a table for 2 with a large dog (short fur, no smell, and quiet and well-behaved!!!), we were told that everything was reserved and also for the whole evening (it was only 6:30 p.m., never anything would be free.) 2 tables were free, there was no sign on them…. Well… what annoyed me was the condescending manner in which I was treated! They won't see us again in their guest house, which we lived in a few years ago, nor in the restaurant again!

We ate there for the second time and it was absolutely delicious. We received great service and everyone was very polite. We'll definitely go back :)

The restaurant is rated: Very child-friendly, homemade spaetzle is super tasty, cordon bleu with fries is also great and Maultaschen with honey mustard dressing is also good. The Scheyrn dark beer also tasted very good. Recommended!

We ate there during the Reiterlesmarkt. The staff is super nice, the restaurant is cozy. Unfortunately the food was very expensive, but that's just how it is in a tourist town with such a location. But the quality is unfortunately not particularly good for the price. The spaetzle was good, but unfortunately the loin was very tough. The schnitzel was also extremely thin and obviously pressed - so not very good quality.

We were in the restaurant with five people and were seated at a table of four due to the restaurant's occupancy. The waitresses were extremely courteous and friendly. After a larger table became available, we were offered the opportunity to move around. TOP. The food we ordered came very quickly and there was nothing wrong with the quality of the food. There's really nothing to complain about here. We'd love to come back.

We have been to Rothenburg several times and also to this restaurant. The food was always very good and the service was extremely friendly. Special requests were also responded to very accommodatingly. The prices don't differ significantly from comparable restaurants and we will certainly come back. And we're already looking forward to it.

My colleague and I were at the Goldener Lamm with 4 clients (cognitive/physically impaired). We had charming, very attentive service. We have special clients, every wish has been fulfilled. The service, the food and the prices were great for us. A huge compliment, we can't go everywhere with our clients due to special circumstances, but we will definitely come back here.
