A great hotel that is run as a family business!

Super cozy, clean room that, by luck, was available at short notice. We had been driving for a long time and spontaneously wanted to spend a night in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The hotel has very nice staff and we felt very well looked after. Thank you very much!

Top location! Very nice staff! Stayed there for one night... For the price you have to say the rooms are very clean and good, but a bit small and there is a shower curtain in the bathroom that is almost impossible to keep away from the body when showering due to the narrowness. A rigid wall would be much more pleasant!! But this is complaining at a high level and is only intended as information for other guests and the operator. Otherwise everything was really great. Dinner in the in-house restaurant is also highly recommended... We'll be back when we're in the area again!!

Older hotel with simple rooms. Bathroom too small and not heated. Beds and furnishings are spartan. Breakfast was ok, but nothing more. Location is good. You can get to the city quickly.

It was our first time in the Restaurant Hotel Schranne. From the moment we entered until we reserved a place for 4 people, everything seemed clean and friendly. We didn't have to wait long until the waiter brought the menu with some small talk. Carp fillet, farmer's schnitzel and Franconian bratwurst came quite quickly. The fish was delicious but the potato salad was very vinegary and I kept having sour belching for 2.5 hours on the drive home. It wasn't well seasoned or seasoned for everyone. Drinks wine, beer and cola were okay and at a good temperature. Toilets extremely clean and modern.

Beautiful hotel! My room was in the far corner of one of the wings and had a small sleeping area but large bathroom! Location by the tall wall was cool! Highly recommend the night watchman tour and walking the wall!

Centrally located hotel, within walking distance of the city center, yet quiet. An ideal combination. Therefore 5 stars for the location. The rooms are spacious and clean, enough storage space. The service is top, from the owner to the head waiter, who always keeps an attentive eye on everything, to the service staff. The people seem to enjoy working, which has an impact on the company and the guests and leads to a relaxed stay. Very happy again.

We were there for 3 wonderful days. Very nice welcome, good service and delicious food. Completely satisfied. Great location, just a few minutes from the market and there is also the option to park the car. I don't think it's the last time we've been here :-)

Price-quality ratio is very moderate. When you checked out you could put your ticket in a basket. No one asked if everything was to your liking. The staff in the breakfast room was also mediocre and unprofessional.

We just spent a long weekend here and felt very comfortable. The room is older, but absolutely functional and very large. Breakfast is plentiful and good. The snack and evening menus offer a lot of choice and everything we tried was very tasty. I've never had this salad dressing anywhere before, it's simply sensational! The location of the house is ideal. You are in a quiet environment and can still reach the center of Rotenburg in just a few minutes. We are happy to recommend this house. I had a nice meal there on vacation. The portion could have been a little larger, but it was tasty and the service was very nice.

Just a few minutes to the market square and the city's attractions. Ideal starting point to explore the city. Fast WiFi.

The best- The location. This hotel is conveniently located in this picturesque town. The worst- the man at the reception was extremely rude. His tone was officious and not at all welcoming. The bathroom was old and the shower curtain was too short. There were also hairs in the sink. The food at the restaurant was mediocre. I don't know when I had worse Schweinsbraten. Wifi was okay and the beds were reasonably comfortable. Small, stuffy rooms

Went for lunch with a motorcycle group of 15. When we made our reservation without any problems, the very competent and extremely helpful and friendly receptionist pointed out the free hotel parking space. After we arrived, the gates were opened for us, there was room for all of our machines and we were allowed to stay there after dinner until the short tour of the city was finished. Everyone quickly found something on the extensive menu with surprisingly reasonable prices for Rothenburg. The various dishes all tasted great, a particular favorite was the excellent homemade bratwurst. The staff was extremely friendly and quick. Conclusion: Gladly again, it couldn't be better.

Tall and chubby waiter with arrogance, we asked to watch football and he told us it couldn't be, then the boss came and asked us why we didn't watch football...

This hotel was perfect. I stayed for 2 nights with my family and small child in a room with a roof. Although the room was scattered, the cleaning was done perfectly. My son's favorite blanket was also neatly folded and placed there. All the waiters at the restaurant were friendly and kind, and the people at the front desk were also very kind, and I felt comfortable checking in. I think Japanese people will definitely like this hotel. I don't understand German, but Danke schön🥰

We were accommodated at the top of the sloping roof. The bathroom was so tiny, the sink was so small that it wasn't even possible to wash your face standing in front of it. Otherwise very pleasant location, good breakfast, nice and friendly staff. The food was also good and so were the portions.

Well!!!!!! We had a one night stay in this hotel, as we reach we went on the wrong door which was nothing wrong because it was our first time. The man at the reception came to receive us as we rang the bell and his expressions and body language was really rude. After that we had a dinner in the hotel and again the guy treated us arrogantly which was nothing pleasant at all. After all food was delicious and the hotel and room, breakfast all was very good.

Only at the breakfast buffet should you pay attention to keeping the food cool. In the heat in the restaurant, the cheese melts and the cream cheese tastes a bit sour... You should also look at the juice, the ojuice has become flaky set. The beds are a disaster, you could hardly sleep without pain in your back, the mattresses are extremely uncomfortable

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Austria. Everything we needed was there. Ideal for a family stay in the family room (children each had their own bed). Reception was very warm and extensive! Great... There is plenty of parking in front of the door and you can be in the center in 2 minutes. So ideal! We would love to come back again...

A great hotel in a great city. Anyone interested in the Middle Ages and old cities has come to the right place. Rooms in the hotel are ok, small points deducted due to the lack of a refrigerator and telephone. But who really needs that? Otherwise everything was great. Nice and courteous service staff.

Mitarbeiter alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Comfortzimmer sehr geräumig. Kleinere Abzug in Bezug auf Sauberkeit. Der Föhn inklusive Kabel war schon sehr schmuddelig. Minibar wäre schön gewesen aber im Winter für 2 Nächte ok.

Hatten dort ein kleines Zimmer war für 2 Übernachtungen aber okay sauber und auch alles was man braucht. Frühstück sehr gut schöner Frühstücksraum und gute Auswahl. Auch gute Bedienung. Super zentral gelegen ein paar Schritte und man ist direkt in der Altstadt. Parkplatz auch vorhanden muss aber extra bezahlt werden. Also für einen kurzen Trip zu empfehlen.

We were recommended by locals to test this gasthaus for dinner. Wow, the home-made sausages was amazing! We had a lovely dinner with fantastic Keller Beer to swallow it down with. Very nice people working there. Nice place but it has a huge parking lot directly outside which was not the best to look at during dinner. However, this is most certainly the reason for tourists often do not find this restaurant. the home-made sausages are reason enough to visit them.

After we got a recommendation to come at your restaurant, we were absolutely satisfied with the delicious food. It's one of the rare restaurants in Rothenburg, where you can eat fresh and authentic food with prices that match every dish. But what made our dinner better was the wonderful service of Thuy. Thuy noticed us in couple of seconds, greeted with a smile, gave us a table. After that she brought us the menu, recommended the drinks and the special dishes. After serving our dishes she came and checked if everything was okay with our food. The way she treated every customer made us recognise that she's a great person and a great waitress. All the best.

Sehr gastlich, super netter Kellner, ehrliche und sehr gute Küche mit Fleisch vom eigenen Metzger. Wir haben einen kurzen Zwischenstopp gemacht und waren sehr angenehm überrascht.

De zuurkool was fantastisch. Heerlijk gegeten. Braadworst was heerlijk en zelf gemaakt. Mooi wijntje erbij. En dat ook nog voor een zacht prijsje. Ik zeg: “Een aanrader”. Fijne bediening en erg attent.
