Among the countless breweries in Munich, this place, Hofbräu, and Schneiderbräu are considered the top three breweries. I haven't been to all three, but the beer here is better than Hofbräu.
I stopped by here the first time I arrived in Munich and stopped by again the next day on the last train, and the atmosphere during the day and night was clearly different. At night, it was noisy and noisy, and I was so drunk that my memories are hazy.
I'll try to write down my memories of my first visit, which was for lunch, but I'll say it in advance: the food was just okay. At that time, I had been in Germany for a week, so I think I was tired of the same food.
For beer, you can just drink Edelstorf. It's a premium lager, and the hoppiness and refreshingness that come up behind the soft foam and the strong body are a work of art.
I really didn't feel like sausages or Schweinshaxe, so I ordered something like roast pork for food. It was a pork dish that seemed to be made with a similar recipe to Schweinshaxe, except that the part wasn't pig's feet.
The garnish was made with potatoes and cabbage, and the sauerkraut made with red cabbage was delicious. While regular sauerkraut is too sour, this one was sweet and sour.
The potatoes were made with German dumplings called knödel, and they had a unique chewy and sticky texture. They were like plain potato cakes, and there was a little minced meat in them, but it didn't add any special flavor.
The roast pork was the neck part, and the meat was very dry and chewy. The skin was crispy enough to chew, but it was greasy, so I dipped it in sauce and ate it with beer.
I can't comment on the food, but the Tesla Supercharger is a complete rip-off. Better to have a coffee somewhere else and avoid the Charger. If there is no intention behind it, why is there no simple sign about parking regulations directly at the supercharger after more than a year? So it just seems like a planned rip-off.
The atmosphere is great.
The pizza was incredibly good, and the filet on the hot stone was also excellent.
The salad, unfortunately, wasn't that good.
So, if you like a lot of salad dressing, you'll like it. But it was too much for me... half the plate was full of sauce/dressing.
Still, it's worth a visit.
We drank a few beers and had the schnitzel. It was very tasty and large portions, we were served by a very nice waitress. All in all we will definitely be back. The other guests' food also looked appealing and tasty.
