Best beer garden in Roth. Ritterbier and the Leberkäse are a dream. Unfortunately, Theo doesn't open as often anymore due to health reasons. Full 5 points out of sympathy.
Update 7/20/21: Downgraded to 3 stars due to poor service experience.
Update 09/03/24: Closed at least temporarily since the end of August 24, see article in Rother Zeitung.
Hi dear Axel, I wanted to tell you that our VW bus is running again. Thanks for your support. Great pub, cool armchairs, very friendly host. Beer, football ⚽️ and real fans! Thanks again. Would have liked to have snowed in again, but it's only open from Friday to Sunday. Bless you, Axel. 😎
One of the last Bavarian inns. There are excellent snacks and a fine beer in a cozy atmosphere, in the summer of course in the beer garden in the shade of the trees. And for celebrations there are the best delicacies, prepared by the landlady Resi. The Mühlbachstubn is my absolute number one in Dingolfing.
Yesterday, we went to the Übach beer garden for lunch again.
The ambiance and service were good as always.
The food, unfortunately, was not.
Currywurst with fries,
flavorless sausage, and the curry sauce as well. Any chip shop could make a better sauce.
Then we ordered the dish of the day,
sliced chicken with rice. Here, too, the chef seemed to have forgotten the seasoning. A dish with no flavor.
The salad that came with the dish seemed to have come straight from the water that was still on the plate.
For us, it was the last time we ate at the beer garden.
Under the old management of Astrid and Albert Spiertz, there was never anything like it.
It was worth it! Schnapps on the house and cool conversations! The bus comes across well. Multicultural and you can quickly get into conversation with people.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the Marktweib, despite the good but quite expensive food and very arrogant staff, especially the management. The allocation of time slots is also extremely pleasant for a restaurant in Oberursel, it's not New York!
Great location, right on the Elbe, sheltered from the wind and atmospheric under the trees.
Ordering was a bit chaotic, the wrong drinks were brought, had to be addressed several times.
Highly recommended in summer. Very nice for children in general, playground available. A mini golf course where children, aged 10 and over, can play alone. Food and drinks are ordered at the counter. Specify table number when ordering. Because food is called with table numbers. Then pickup. Everything is going very relaxed. There are only beer tables and benches with backrests outside. Very casual location, outside and no traffic. Price/performance ratio is right. Highly recommended to spend the day relaxing with children and grandchildren with good food and drinks.
In the summer in the beer garden, great food, great service, we were now in the restaurant, the food wasn't good, the price-performance ratio doesn't match the menu in the restaurant, the ambience inside wasn't inviting, we were disappointed in the summer, great, the stars would fit, but not in the winter, sorry that you have to say it like that 😔
I was only there for a short time because I had to go to the toilet, but the food looked really tasty, smelled wonderful and was very busy in the evening
Very nice people there were allowed to go to the toilet quickly
Very well maintained, nice location. I'll definitely come there to eat if I don't get lost
The price/performance ratio is right here: one of the best addresses in LA for perfect home-style cooking (including the best red cabbage in the city!) without any frills or *star* demands, but with a constant level of quality and excellent taste. However, if the house is full, you have to be prepared for borderline waiting times and have time.
Update 2025:
Unfortunately, since the departure of boss/cook Sladi, the quality described above is no longer present. Average at best.
