As loyal guests for years, who have always eaten and drank there 1-2 times a week in the evenings, the first thing we had to ask ourselves on Friday when we greeted us was whether we had made a reservation... something that is actually not possible in the outdoor area and when we said no, we were told that we only had 1.5 hours left and that we would then have to clear the table, regardless of whether we had eaten it or drank it empty, because the tables now always went into the second round! Keep in mind that you wait half an hour for your food and then again for the Kaiserschmarrn as dessert! This is a complete impudence and an insolence, in addition to the fact that the staff there forces you to gulp down your food and then you have to pay dearly for it, regardless of whether you are full or have finished your plate!!! In any case, we will never enter this restaurant again or ever recommend it to others!!! After all, word of mouth is and has always been the best and ours will continue to be negative over and over again from now on!!! Best regards.

The place to go for good and friendly service, delicious food and a great setting. Thanks for great time. Only the Calvados used for the "Mispelchen" could be a bit more distinct.

It was - as so often - very, very good. Absolute recommendation! We had cream of celery soup and then beef tartare. Both lovingly prepared and decorated. Everything went smoothly and all of our wishes were fulfilled. Please make sure to reserve.

I was very happy with my market salad with fried chicken, even though it didn't need any salt crystals on the chicken. My girlfriend had the lunch dish, a wild garlic risotto with braised pointed cabbage, and was also very satisfied. I come more often now.

Four of us had dinner at Marktweib. The reservation went smoothly and we got a table from 7:30 p.m. The service was clearly overwhelmed at the beginning because slots are allocated in Marktweib and the second slot starts at 7:30 p.m. So we got the menu straight away and were able to order the drinks relatively quickly, but we had to wait a relatively long time. The waiting time for the food was also longer than expected but the food made up for it! Very well put together dishes, deliciously prepared and excellent in taste. The desserts were also very tasty. Unfortunately, our service staff ignored our request to pack up the rest of our food. She was clearly overwhelmed. Finally, I would like to note that this slot allocation can certainly be necessary for the host, but the comfort is lost for the guests. At around 10:00 p.m. we were asked if we wanted something more to drink and around 10:30 p.m. the place was closed. It's a shame not being able to sit longer in such a pretty restaurant!

Very authentic local kitchen. The interior is plain and fancy less, but fits to the overall concept. Food is very delicious, while not homogeneously. But overall a very good place to be, particular with friends having a beer or two.

Mein Essen (Marktsalat mit Backhendl) war äußerst delikat (Loite, die Erdnuss-Chili-Majo ein echter Genuss!) Die zwei Bedienungen hatten alle Hände voll zu tun, haben aber ihren Humor nicht verloren.

Zum ersten Mal dort, tolles Lokal, schönes Ambiente, leckeres Essen (Gänsekeule, Hirschgulasch), aufmerksamer Service.

Schönes Fackwerklokal am wunderbaren Matktplatz mit gehobener bürgerlichen Küche (vom Handkäsesalat über Gulasch bis zum Wiener Schnitzel und vegatarischen Gerichten), schön präsentiert vom jungen Service ist alles lecker. Publikum entspricht dem Angebot. Viel Damen mittleren Alters im Twinset und Perlenketten und gestandene Begleiter. Mir ein wenig zu glatt.

Die Mittagskarte verführt dazu, Taunus-Wanderungen rund um die Einkehr im Marktweib zu planen.

Super leckeres Essen und sehr nettes Personal

Klein und schnuckelig, gutes Essen (sehr zu empfehlen der Ziegenkäse mit Datteln und Walnüssen), freundliches Personal. Reservierung würde ich empfehlen, denn es ist auch unter der Woche gut besucht und nicht immer teilen Fremde mit dir einen Sechsertisch.

Ein schöne Auswahl an Gerichten. Kleine, aber sehr feine Karte. Schöne Einrichtung (das Geschirr hat es mir besonders angetan, weil kein Einheitslook). Gegessen wurde 1.) Ofen-Ziegenkäse mit Chili-Thymian-Honig, Datteln und Walnüssen plus Beilagensalat und 2.) Kartoffel-Linsen-Apfel-Curry mit Babyspinat und Berberitzen-Reis und Kokosjoghurt plus Beilagensalat. Beides war hervorragend. Danke für den schönen Mittag!

Wir hatten einen entspannten, leckeren Abend im Marktweib. Da es uns so gut gefiel, wollten wir unbedingt länger bleiben als uns der reservierte Tisch zustand. Kurzerhand durften wir umziehen an einen anderen Tisch. Das Personal, sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Tolle Stimmung im Team. Das Essen war sensationell lecker!

Frisches regionales Essen, tolle Qualität und verschiedene Möglichkeiten zum entspannten Sitzen (draußen vorne, Innenraum, Innenhof), eine sehr gute Empfehlung für Oberursel

Nettes Ambiente. Karte ist relativ klein, aber man findet etwas, vor allem auch, da diverse Zwischengerichte angeboten werden. Das Essen war geschmackvoll angerichtet. Sehr nette Bedienung und guter Service.

Relativ kleine, aber feine Karte auch mit Speisen für Vegetarier / Veganer. Die Gerichte wurden frisch mit regionalen Zutaten zubereitet und relativ schnell serviert. Große Portionen. Besondere Empfehlung: Karotten-Pastinakensuppe und das Wiener Schnitzel (2 Stück!) mit Gurken-Kartoffelsalat und Preiselbeeren. Gute Auswahl von Weinen, hauseigenen Cocktails und Apfelweinen. Empfehlung: Ca. zwei Wochen vorher reservieren, gerade am Wochenende. Kostenfreier Parkplatz in Fußentfernung (200 m).

Nicht schlecht, aber ich komme nicht wieder. Der Reihe nach: Zentral gelegen, leider mit schlechter Parkplatzsituation, daher Fußweg einkalkulieren. Kann das Restaurant nichts für, muss man aber wissen (insbesondere bei schlechtem Wetter). Zugang bzw. Gastraum (wegen Enge) nicht Rollstuhl- oder Rollator-Geeignet (zumindest, wenn das Restaurant voll ist). Einrichtung ist urig bzw. schön gemacht. Leider ist die Bestuhlung eng bzw. jeder Zentimeter mit Tischen/Stühlen ausgenutzt. Das ist zwar betriebswirtschaftlich sinnvoll, da maximale Anzahl an Personen bewirtet werden kann, ist aber nicht gemütlich. Bei vollem Restaurant (an den klassischen Zeiten) ist die Lautstärke zu stark und die enge nicht schön. Nichts für ein romantisches Essen oder wo man sich gerne mit seiner Begleitung unterhalten möchte. Wartezeit auf die Vorspeise war okay, für die Hauptspeisen mit über 1,5 Stunden sehr lang. Servicepersonal war schnell, freundlich jedoch auch affektiert. 17,- Euro Trinkgeld wurden wort-/kommentarlos entgegengenommen – zumindest ein Wort bzw. „Danke“ wäre ja nett gewesen. Nachtisch sollte man schon bestellen, während man noch mitten bei der Hauptspeise war, da „die Küche am Samstag-Abend bald zumacht“ (wir waren ab 20.00 Uhr da). Die Essensauswahl ist gut und es gibt auch mal andere Speisen als woanders z.B. Roulade (siehe Speisekart auf der homepage). Speisen-Preise angemessen für die Qualität. Das Essen ist solide und gut. Die Getränkepreise sind relativ teuer und weichen von der homepage-Speisekarte ab: z.B. Fanta oder Apfelwein 0,5 l. für 5,00 EUR. War jetzt das dritte Mal dort und jedes Mal was es ähnlich. Trotz guten Essens würde ich nicht nochmal kommen, da mir das Drumherum bzw. die Atmosphäre zu ungemütlich, ungastlich und nicht einladend genug war.
