The restaurant is now very bright and friendly. The food was great. Heard how my schnitzel was prepared. Fries just right. The Pleskavica with vegetables was also great. We'll definitely come back.
Was will man mehr?
You are greeted by an unexpectedly young group who offer a friendly welcome and show you to the table.
When we picked up our jackets, we were charmingly offered the house's own non-alcoholic aperitif, which we simply couldn't say no to. The menu and wine lists follow, both of which invite you to browse.
The choice falls on trilogy of appetizers in the form of beef tataki, scallop and gyoza. You can already see the signature of the chef here, who skilfully creates fusion cuisine consisting of Catalan, Cote d'azur and Asian dishes.
The following pictures speak for themselves, and the food confirms the sight, it tastes like it looks, and in words something like this:
The Tataki leaves nothing to be desired, the subtle vegetable component, slightly sour and fruity, an excellent complement to the simple beef
The scallop - world class and the absolute highlight. Fried until translucent, it melts in the mouth and unfolds all the flavors that lie in this pale pearl of the sea. All the words in the vocabulary don't do it justice, you have to try it
The gyoza unexpectedly different, unexpectedly filling! You don't read it often, but here you could certainly expect less content from the guest, offer more dough and it would still be a fantastic dish. The gyoza tastes excellent, but increases the satiety level enormously.
The salty dark sauce stimulates the umami sense, so these delicacies are eaten.
Anyone who serves this kind of starter really has more to offer.
The Ratskeller offers everything that is hard to find these days, decent upscale cuisine, where the focus is on the craftsmanship, the product and the love of the job and not on great marketing that has to be financed by expensive food
Thank you very much - see you soon
Today 10/27/24 everything is dark and there is a small notice on the door saying “temporarily closed” and there are huge mountains of bulky waste in front of the door and on the terrace!!! What does that mean??
This was by far the worst gyro I have ever eaten. The staff was incredibly slow and seemed completely dubious. The atmosphere was more reminiscent of a football stadium than a restaurant - loud, chaotic and unpleasant. Absolutely not recommended. Just stay away from this store!
