Restaurant zur Linde in Oberursel (Taunus)

Very cozy, inviting, and with a lovely atmosphere. My partner and I were there this past Sunday without a reservation and were given a nice table in the sleigh-themed dining room. We are still very impressed by the first-class food and service. Anyone who wants to treat themselves to something of excellent quality simply must visit this hidden gem in Frankfurt-Oberursel. Great praise for the service and the warm, welcoming smiles, which created a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. A well-deserved 10/10. Thank you very much, and see you next time!

From the initial, very friendly email contact and the consideration given to our dietary requirements, to the delicious food and the exceptionally friendly service, we can look back on a wonderful celebration in a lovely atmosphere. We were there on July 7th, 2022, a group of five for a company lunch. The food was fantastic!! Service and cuisine were top-notch. Everyone ordered something different, and everyone was thrilled. Steaks cooked to perfection. Sea bream—simply divine. The blond waiter who served us was truly memorable. So friendly, and everything was explained with patience and professionalism. Keep it up! We're so happy you're still there and continuing to cook as well as you did before the pandemic. Best regards from the D. company next door. After three years, it's still just as good. The Linde has now become my favorite restaurant. The food is very good. The service and friendliness are excellent. I particularly appreciate the helpfulness when arriving in a wheelchair. The restroom isn't 100% wheelchair accessible, but it's large enough to fit a wheelchair in. We often go there for dinner during the week because they have theme days. See menu 👍 The fried potatoes are my favorite.

It was okay, but I wouldn't recommend it because the service was really bad and the food was very bland.

We chose the restaurant because of its lovely ambiance. We had made a reservation in advance and stated that we were bringing a baby. We were then seated in the middle of a completely overcrowded and noisy room with several other people, right next to the doorway, which is completely unacceptable with a stroller. The only alternative we were offered was the upper floor, if we carried the stroller up ourselves. Customer service and focus? None. Their behavior was completely unacceptable. We simply left and won't be coming back, at least not with a child. We definitely expected something different.

The food and service are quite good. I had octopus as a starter, and it was very good. The portions are generous. We also had liver at the table, which also received praise. The garden area under the 1,200-year-old linden tree is perfect in summer. Reservations required.

The food was outstanding – lovingly prepared, perfectly flavored, and made with high-quality ingredients. Everything was perfect here. We had a reservation for 8 people, and we arrived with more, no problem. Excellent service, a lovely atmosphere, and requests for changes to the menu items were no problem. Drinks were always requested in good time before the glasses were empty. The food was delicious. Some of the portions were so large that it was difficult to finish the plate. Bowls were brought out without asking for the leftovers. The prices were very reasonable. All in all, 5 stars+!

We were truly disappointed with the food that evening. After a lovely walk, we thought the Linde would be a lovely way to end the evening. In keeping with the weather, we ordered three Mediterranean appetizers. And the bruschetta and tomatoes with mozzarella were, unfortunately, a complete disappointment. The white bread in the bruschetta was completely soggy and not toasted at all, and the tomatoes tasted just like they looked: pale, pale, and bland. Our very polite complaint was received just as politely, but that was it.

We were at the Linde a long time ago, went back again... and were not disappointed! You sit very nicely and the service is nice, quick and attentive. The food was very tasty, the portions were quite large and the prices were fair. I think we'll come back more often now.

Delicious food, great ambience especially in the large room. Super friendly staff. There were even sparklers for the birthday dessert ;) thanks for that. The prices are already high but you get something for your money. If you like cheap food, this is the wrong place for you. There used to be a schnapps when paying, unfortunately the service is no longer available, which is a shame given the price. It was always a nice gesture and unfortunately it is lost.

Our lunch on Schnitzel Day (Wednesday) for years. Just under €13 for a good portion of schnitzel with fries. Delicious food, friendly service, super nice location, especially in summer. Parking spaces are a little less and the police like to write tickets, so be careful.

The grill plate with typical Croatian meat specialties such as cevapici, pleskavica, pork steak, djuvec rice and fries was very plentiful. Unfortunately everything was almost unseasoned, especially the minced meat was completely tasteless, dry industrial product. It's a shame, because that's exactly where you expect the typical, spicy taste. The rice was good, but the fries were unfortunately pale and very soft. I expected more from the food The service was friendly and attentive.

Nice cozy restaurant German cuisine. Especially in summer you can sit nicely in the shade of the huge lime tree. Modern and comfortably furnished inside. Fast, friendly service, reasonable price/performance ratio. It's only a little louder in the larger room where you can sit upstairs when it's full. This is due to the two-story room and mostly to the parents who let their children run around. I find the other room more pleasant

To the Linde, Oberursel. One of the most beautiful beer gardens in the region, easily accessible from the centers in the Rhine-Main area by car or bicycle. In summer you can sit wonderfully under the ancient, gnarled linden tree. But the interior of the restaurant in Oberursel also offers everything you could wish for in the colder months. No matter whether it's a dinner for two, a social or family event... here you will always find suitable rooms - tastefully furnished and decorated. "Unter der Linde", on Urselbachstrasse, serves good, solid Croatian dishes and dishes from international cuisine, with attentive service (despite always being busy in the summer season). I believe that is the "secret" of the local cuisine is an absolutely high-quality grill that, when operated professionally, can transform any grilled dish into a very good one, even if it (?!) comes from TK or CF, which is certainly nothing unusual given this price/performance ratio. At least I've never "heard a meat tenderizer at work..." ;-)Note: The menu is very extensive, so it's hard to decide. But, based on the experiences mentioned, just look carefully. There are so many good ones Dishes in this extensive selection, if you have a bit of knowledge TIP: Also note the days with special prices such as the schnitzel day or the “fish day” (Fr.) The fresh fish offers and the grilled pulp are particularly recommended! (both as a starter and as a main course), the fish duet from the menu, or the lamb and veal dishes. Conclusion: A wonderful, historic beer garden in a rustic atmosphere. Very tasty food with friendly service at a very acceptable price/performance ratio! Whenever - we look forward to coming back every time!

My absolute favorite shop in Bad Homburg!! We've been going here on Wednesdays for Schnitzel Day for years. Fair prices and huge portions. Here you get two schnitzels at once. Good fries and the homemade lemonade are also recommended. My favorite is the pepper schnitzel and highly recommended. On other days there are e.g. Fish is also cheaper. The ambience is also great, huge and warm room with a great outdoor area. Pleasantly furnished.🫄🤙

I held the celebration after my wedding here. The ambience is classic for a building like this. Brick combined with wooden beams, like in a barn. We had a lot of discussions beforehand and everything from the beginning to the end of the event was simply perfect. Such friendly staff, always present to bring drinks to the table and at such a fast pace that we were surprised. The two owners took a lot of time in the discussions and responded to all of our wishes and also made suggestions to us, which we gratefully accepted. The buffet was perfect, tasted great and as soon as something was missing it was quickly filled up. There was also enough choice on the menu for vegans and vegetarians. All in all, I can recommend the restaurant to anyone planning a larger event. In any case, the restaurant has gained two new guests.

Fast service despite a good visit

A beautiful place, unfortunately the food absolutely cannot keep up. All dishes with minced meat are a bit tough. In my opinion, the portion and the quality are too small for this price. That's really a shame because you're sitting under a beautiful tree and expect more here.

We were invited there for my brother's birthday, the food was very good. We had salt-crusted fish, schnitzel and steak. Fish and steaks were portioned and flambéed at the table, which was pretty spectacular 😁
