I recently visited the beer garden and was absolutely thrilled. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and seasoned perfectly. A good beer paired perfectly with it; you can tell the craftsmanship goes into this place. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly and quick. Even though it was busy, everything ran smoothly and without long waits.

Great service and a cozy atmosphere. Normally, I'd give the food full marks, too, because it tastes really good. Unfortunately, the prices are now beyond belief. I can imagine that the currywurst is cheaper by the highway these days than at Rathausplatz in Übach-Palenberg.

Chance brought us here. Since we were a bit hungry, we stopped at the most prominent restaurant on the market square. A good choice. Übacher Downtown Burger made from Angus beef, Allgäu mountain cheese, bacon, onions, no tomatoes, burger sauce & French fries. Very tasty. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I give it full marks. Conclusion: If I ever come here again, I'll definitely be coming back.

We were passing through and the car needed a bite to eat. So we took the opportunity to indulge ourselves. I wasn't particularly hungry, but the gratinated goat cheese on the appetizer menu immediately caught my eye! I've never tasted such mild and delicious goat cheese before! Super friendly and on the ball! 👍🏼 If the car is just as happy with the power provided, that would be great, of course, but I doubt it... 😜 Conclusion: If we ever come back to this area, we'll definitely be your guests again. We went there for dinner about two weeks ago. My boyfriend had a steak, and I had a baked potato with chicken. Unfortunately, the steak was cooked through even though we'd requested it differently, and my chicken was very dry and cold. The potato also had a strange flavor, and the quark that came with it really just tasted like quark. On top of that, the chairs outside were so uncomfortable that my backside literally hurt afterward. The waiters were friendly, but you always had to wait forever for everything... it wasn't that busy, and there were at least five waiters milling around. Overall, just no, not really anymore!

Unfortunately, no rating for the food. It's supposed to be quite good. Our stay lasted about 40 minutes. During this time, we had two drinks that unfortunately didn't taste fresh (Coke). So, unfortunately, we went to another restaurant, hungry. They gladly exchanged our money for good service and good food. Unfortunately, the only positive aspects were the location of the restaurant and the reviews that recommended it to us. Conclusion: New guests not welcome. A real shame for this location.

Apparently, the owner had changed, and the food (both schnitzel and fries) tasted strongly of greasy fryer grease. Either it was a bad day for the chef, or this has become the norm. The beer garden was always busy when we were there. This weekend, during normal hours and with good weather, the restaurant was almost empty, and we were free to choose our table. Service was, as always, top-notch!

Yesterday, we went to the Übach beer garden for lunch again. The ambiance and service were good as always. The food, unfortunately, was not. Currywurst with fries, flavorless sausage, and the curry sauce as well. Any chip shop could make a better sauce. Then we ordered the dish of the day, sliced ​​chicken with rice. Here, too, the chef seemed to have forgotten the seasoning. A dish with no flavor. The salad that came with the dish seemed to have come straight from the water that was still on the plate. For us, it was the last time we ate at the beer garden. Under the old management of Astrid and Albert Spiertz, there was never anything like it.

I travel to Übach-Palenberg about once a year for business. My company is from here, and we always go to this restaurant. Every time I visit, I usually stay for a week, and we end up going three or four times during that week. The food is amazing no matter what you order. The schnitzel, the burger, the steak, everything is delicious. The service is always friendly and smiling. I do wish they had an English menu, but my German co-workers make it easy to order. The portions are generous, and the food is always really good.

The herb butter is also delicious! I'm looking forward to the next quick visit!!!!🥳 On average between €29-40 p. P. paid but there were 200-300g steaks with it☝️!!!! One or the other had a different dish which was correspondingly cheaper even though the steak dishes were great in terms of price! Highly recommended!!!

But unfortunately we don't know the name of the young man who served us (definitely well built and lots of tattoos) definitely made the evening a highlight! Yesterday we and the family spontaneously went for something to eat in the beer garden and sat outside. Unfortunately it was very unpleasantly loud (approx. 40 minutes) due to a table (probably a fire brigade table). The shout was very loud and it echoed throughout the square. When the group broke up, it finally became quiet and you could have a proper conversation with your own family. The dogs that were there also became very restless. Other people at the next table were already shaking their heads. It wasn't possible to eat and drink something in the beer garden yesterday. Food and service top as always. However, the Viennese style schnitzel was in the gravy, which in my opinion. If it doesn't belong on the plate, please serve it separately, as it always has been before.

I like the location when the weather is nice like today. It's just pleasant to sit there. I really like the currywurst. The beer selection is also good. Non-alcoholic Bit on tap isn't available everywhere either. The staff is very friendly. The only catch: €12.90 for a currywurst with fries without any other side dish is really expensive! But unfortunately the catering prices have risen much more overall than, for example, my income. It's therefore "luxury" to go out to eat these days, but no reason for deducting 1 star.
