Underground, service and food please please avoid this place

Never again. We weren’t allowed to enter at 22:30, even though on google maps, it was declared to be open till midnight. Many more people were waiting outside. Quite rude personal.

Food was terrible 15 euros truffle pasta was dry, hardly any truffles and food was under cooked. I would not recommend anyone to order food here.

Bad experience, terrible service, ordered a shank with boiled potatoes, cream of peas and sauerkraut, good side dishes but the raw shank smelled like raw meat, we reported it but nothing €19.90 per person!!!!! 1/2 liter of beer €5.60 when everywhere else you pay less than €4.00 Total €51.00 no attention given our complaint and the waiter also came to note that the meat couldn't be cut!!!!! They also demanded €1.00 making me change because I didn't have any money !!!!!!!!!! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

For lovers of true vintage, this open-air venue is highly recommended. Don't forget to try a cold Berlin beer in the 1980s double-decker coach that makes The Republic of Berlin a place unlike any other.

They forgot our food order, they lost the receipt. We waited 1 hour for 3 dishes of tapas. Very unpleasant staff attitude, and it's very expensive for Spanish tapas. Place to avoid, it will cost less to travel to Spain to eat tapas and drink beers than to come here.

Do not go as a traveler, they will take advantage. Was charged €10 more I should have been and when I went back to the bar to complain they told me that the beer was more expensive than on the menu (which did not make up the difference) and that the other €9 was 'for the menu'??? and did not offer any more explanation. Staff were not friendly generally even from the start of ordering and the food was not great. Watery carbonara and Pomodoro was undercooked. Chips were decent. Will not go back or recommend. EDIT: as they have replied to this, I was charged €49 euro not the €39 as they claimed. Also they claim below beer is €6 - very clearly listed as €4.80 on the menu in the venue

At the back end of the beer garden there is a disused BVG bus that plays chilling, soft music at a tolerable volume, where you can still have a good conversation. Large umbrellas provide protection from the rain or sun. In addition to the usual beer garden dishes, there are delicious vegan alternatives. Addendum: on weekends it is packed with tourists. As a Berliner, it's better to go during the week!

It's a good beer garden for an afternoon with friends or colleagues. It's probably not a great place for families, but the staff were really kind and respectful.

Esperienza più che buona. Cibo buono e discreta scelta di birre. Locale piuttosto centrale, ottima posizione e con molti posti a sedere. Prezzi nel norma (per essere in centro). Presentando la Welcome Card all’inizio si può favorire di uno sconto che non fa male… anzi.

Alot of self service which is all right but they should teach their staff to remove the stem-thingy of the tomato before serving it with the mozzarella. That's my only complaint, however they'd be so much better if they did that.

Un endroit un peu insolite dans une rue qui ne présente pas d’intérêt. Nous y sommes allé un vendredi soir à 20h et nous pensions y trouver une ambiance festive… Presque personne, dommage car on y va aussi pour ça ! Une bière et un sandwich au pulled pork qui nous ont bien rassasié mais rien d’extraordinaire, ce n’était peut être pas le bon moment !

I feel really sorry I could only go on their last day there. The staff was so nice and friendly, the place was so cozy and beer was good. Next editions we'll go again for sure.

Extremely chilled beer garden in the middle of Berlin. In the middle of the noise of the big city, suddenly a warm and pleasant pool of calm - with chat, fun and a good meeting place with friends. The food changes every 3 weeks - always new pop-up kitchens that bring regional dishes from the world, at a good price.

Der Herr mit der Brille und Glatze war an beiden Abenden, an denen ich mit einer größeren Gruppe im Biergarten war, sehr unfreundlich. Zum Beispiel hat er uns von einem leeren Tisch weggeschickt und sich später dann beschwert, dass nicht alle etwas zum Trinken bestellt hätten. Da fragt man sich, was er sich dabei gedacht hat. Zuerst die Leute wegzuschicken und sich dann zu beschweren, dass man bei ihm nichts ausgeben will…

Leuke ongedwongen en relaxte plek. Bier is altijd prima. Hele vriendelijke mensen die mij hielpen. Ik had bruschetta. Ik wilde iets kleins, maar het was nog best een grote portie. Heerlijk van smaak. Ik zag de kokkin de Basilicum eigenhandig plukken om in mijn gerecht te gebruiken. Verser kan het niet! Ik heb lekker even zitten lezen en ben heerlijk tot rust gekomen. Als toerist is sightseeing behoorlijk vermoeiend 😅🤣

Lugar muy peculiar de Berlín. Solo tienen 5 platos que pides en un chiringuito con cocina y luego te traen a la mesa, es todo muy básico. Mucha juventud tomando cervezas. La ensalada de patatas estaba buena, el resto un poco seco.

This is one of several biergartens (beer gardens) that I visited. But this one I made a return. The atmosphere was very warm and laid-back. It's not your traditional beer garden. There are traditional tables and benches to sit to drink and eat. But there are also seating with Adirondack chairs, couches, the corner areas gave more intimate settings for small groups and couples, and the double decker bus was a treat to hang out in. They have a modest beer selection both draft and bottle. If you're not in the mood for beer, they have wine and some specialty (spirits) drinks. Don't plan on ordering a pretzel. They call the menu street food and I enjoyed their selection. I would recommend ordering several dishes and sharing. Don't expect a Michelin star experience. When you're ready to order drinks and food, you'll need to go to the counter. The staff is what you expect, laid-back and friendly. That's why you're here. Bring euros because it's cash only. I highly recommend Republik Berlin so that you can compare it to other beer garden experiences.

Mauvais expérience! Après avoir marché 20 minutes pour rejoindre le lieu, impossible de commander car ils n’acceptent pas la carte de crédit! Au XXI siècle c’est totalement incroyable et incompréhensible surtout dans un pays développé. Je suis contraint de déconseiller le lieu car vous pouvez pas en profité.

What an unexpected hidden find .. a biergarden with a modern twist.. unexpected chill and ohhh food is great too! These cheesy German noodles to dry beef goulash and to wait for meatballs… besides the booze .. highly recommend!

Das beste war der freundliche Service und das leckere Bier. Die Location selbst ist ein bunt gemischter Ort mit ganz unterschiedlichen Publikum was mir auch gefallen hat. Was mir nicht gefallen hat war die Sauberkeit und der Geruch, aber vielleicht war es nur der falsche Tag. Ich werde trotzdem wieder kommen.

Een gezellige, leuke, niet te grote, inspirerende typisch oost Berlijnse Biergarten. Het eten is geen culinair hoogstandje, maar de open gezellige sfeer maakt dat meer dan goed.

After it was starting as an authentic south german beer garden, which was pretty special and tasty, I just had to find out that it was downgraded to a tourist trap, living of the beautiful location, not the quality of the food or beer. A little bit of a pity, but still a nice place to have a quick drink on the way.

Le cadre est assez sympathique et les bières assez bonnes, cependant la nourriture n'était pas exceptionnelle et les assiettes n'étaient pas très remplie... je conseille de simplement boire un verre mais pas d'y manger.

Wir waren gestern spontan dort, weil uns die angebotenen Tapas angesprochen haben. Tja. Liebe Leute, nehmt sie von der Karte oder weich mehr Zeit und Emotion die die Zubereitung. Prominente Namen der Tapas wurden zu einem sehr selbstbewussten Preis angeboten und innerhalb von zwei Minuten an den Tisch gebracht. Chorizo grenzwertig, die armen "Gambas" totgegart und von t echtem "als ajillo" weit entfernt, dazu lauwarm. Spalter Bier ist maximal Mittelklasse. Deshalb haben wir uns an das Craft nicht herangetraut. Ambiente ist cool. Auf Selbstbedienung und Barzahlung kann man sich einstellen. Am Essen müsst ihr euch messen lassen. Hinterfragt euch und werdet besser. Das Potenzial ist bestimmt vorhanden!

Wir waren hier gestern zu Zweit. Der Biergarten ist ein bisschen versteckt und ggfs. nicht sofort auf Google zu finden. Vielleicht ist das aber gar nicht so schlecht, da der Biergarten für Berliner Verhältnisse klein ist. Wir waren mit dem Bier und den Essenspeisen (fritterierte Kartoffeln mit Knoblauchcreme sowie hausgemachte Frikadellen) sehr zufrieden. Der Service ist super nett gewesen. Zudem waren die anderen Gäste sehr nett, jung und lebensfroh. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Wir hoffen das Besondere bleibt erhalten.

Muy buen ambiente para tomar una cerveza en este biergarten. El único problema es que no aceptan tarjetas como método de pago. Tiene varias opciones de platos para picar y compartir acompañado de una cerveza.

Netter kleiner Biergarten mit angenehmen Ambiente. Als wir da waren gab es das spanische Tapas Menü. Ich habe leider noch nie so schlechte Tapas gegessen und das für solche Preise..der Service war nett, aber mit Selbstbedienung.

Ambiance sympathique pour ce petit bar caché derrière les palissades, à l'ombre des arbres. Nombreuses tables, une carte suffisante et abordable, tapas plutôt bon ! Un spot à faire, surtout si vous comptez passer la soirée au Trésor à 50 mètres.

Dont go they steal from travellers. Travelling from Australia. Asked young blond bar lady for 2 drinks she said 10 Euro. I paid sat down with my boyfriend and looked at prices on board drinks 3 Euro each. Went back to bar asked what was goung on she laughed and said she made mistake. Gave back 4 Euro. We left and another staff member asked why we were leaving we told him and he smiled and said she does that.

Das Republik Berlin ist ein trendiger Biergarten in Berlin Mitte. Sie haben gutes Essen und sehr gutes Bier. Die Karte wechselt wöchentlich und es gibt auch immer etwas veganes. Trendig bedeutet viele Leute, bedeutet der Geräuschpegel ist auch entsprechend. Die Preise sind OK und das Publikum gut gemischt von jung bis alt, von Touri über Business bis Einheimische, alles dabei. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Petit beer garden très sympathique, un petit parc ombragé caché derrière les palissades, de la bonne bière locale (pale ale) et pas mal de choses à grignoter en écoutant de la bonne musique. Grandes et petites tables ensoleillées et bus à deux étages en décor dans le fond !

Total nette Mitarbeiter, Preise sind auch okay, und die Stimmung war unvergesslich.
