A very friendly family run restaurant that serves amazing food. Seriously I went back the next day eager to eat the Goulash again! They are very friendly to tourists and speak great English. I have to personally thank them for being just the nicest people to me during both my visits, I'll 100% be back the moment in Berlin again. If your in Berlin and want some German food, eat here or you are missing out! Go...go now. Remember to check opening times :)

So you have to imagine that. You get the tip to eat at the Schnitzelhaus. Then you get there and think to yourself: "Aha, a chip shop... Great. I could have made that easier."🤔 But then: ordered food, took drinks, waited and then the plate came. 1st thought: "Um...I only ordered 1 schnitzel.." 2nd thought: “Wow, that’s delicious!!!”🤤🤤🤤 Seriously...That was one of the best schnitzels I've ever eaten! Pan-fried Jägerschnitzel with homemade sauce. The madness. So if everything stays the way I got to know it, I'll come in once a month to eat there. No matter, I'm going there again now, even if the month isn't over yet. 🤣 We'll meet Again!!!

The two of us came spontaneously with strollers today on Mother's Day. We were put off by the fact that there were no more seats because everything was reserved. So we ordered take out. I actually wanted to avoid it. Then 5 people came in spontaneously without a reservation (we could overhear the conversation) while my husband was waiting for our food. These were of course placed. My husband was then looked at expectantly when he collected the money and didn't enter the amount because they were hoping for a tip. In principle, we always tip, especially when the service is good. Well this time there was none. It should probably be clear why. I can't say whether the stroller (baby) was unwanted or whether the employee just didn't want to be with us. However, we won't be coming back any time soon and will now eat our now wobbly fries on the 5 minute walk home. Too bad. Portions are large, ambience is quite nice. Addendum in response: Yeah right. My husband was offered the table after one employee got in trouble from the other because we were there first. It is completely understandable that a restaurant is full and you may have to wait for a table. If we had been told that we could wait for the next table, we would have done so. When we ordered takeaway at the counter, I asked a second time whether we could get a table straight away, to which the only answer was: No, they are all reserved. And my husband certainly didn't get the impression that he was waiting for a tip when he paid. But your reaction to my review is absolutely defensive, as you can see.

Went there for the first time today. Service was great, good advice and the food was fresh, authentic and very tasty. We'd love to come back!

This place combines good food with a wonderful ambience and a journey through time. We had made a reservation for dinner for 5 people in the castle tower on April 19, 2025 and sat indoors. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the service is friendly and accommodating. The order could be placed quickly. There is a large selection of drinks, the home-brewed beer is particularly recommended. I can only praise and recommend the “ProBierchen” idea - here you can test and enjoy 4 types of beer in small quantities. Whatever tastes best can even be bought in bottles and taken home with you. The outdoor area impresses with a beautiful beer garden and a great view over the town of Auerbach. If that's not enough, you can also climb the historic final tower and learn something about Auerbach's history. The food came after a reasonable wait and was very tasty. The landlord is very friendly and personally checks that everything is going well. We felt very welcome. Thank you for this nice experience. We'd love to come back.

Very well attended, rustic village inn with good cuisine and very good service. Although the inn offers a lot of space, it remains cozy because there is an intelligent room layout. Despite being full, it was still possible to have a good conversation because the room acoustics dampen background noise well, the staff were professional, quick and friendly despite the stress, and the landlord also took the time to ask several times whether everything was OK. Unfortunately the salads are drowned in sauce and unimaginative. If you eat there more often, the selection quickly becomes boring. That's why our initial joy about the place quickly faded. In summer there is also an outdoor area, but I don't find it very comfortable, there is still a lot of room for improvement. However, a table reservation is definitely necessary due to the high demand.

Restaurant with the possibility to eat both inside and outside. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. The food is excellent and at a good price. Parking may be a little difficult, but it might be wise to reserve during rush hour.

Small but fine restaurant. Huge, tasty portions. Whether it's a starter, main course or dessert, everything is delicious. A really great kitchen. Service with a great overview, here the guest is still king. The question here is: Is everything OK, did it taste good, can there be anything else? Restaurant was always full. Reservation is an advantage. We would love to come back and say thank you to the whole team.
