Whenever we're in Grömitz, we look forward to visiting this restaurant. You arrive and are greeted with a smile. The staff is among the friendliest restaurants in Grömitz. The ambiance is very pleasant. We opted for two schnitzel dishes, and it was once again a delight. Thank you very much for that. We'll definitely be back in June 2026. Our recommendation: Make reservations early, otherwise you'll miss out.

Absolutely recommended. All the waiters were super friendly and always had a good joke on their lips, which added to the fun factor. They also offered recommendations for food and drinks. The food was fantastic, from the main course to the dessert. The seating is very comfortable, and dogs are welcome. Perfect all around.

This restaurant is highly recommended. It started right at the reception. A very friendly welcome and escorting us to our table. We sat on the weather-protected terrace with patio heaters, as the indoor area was fully booked. There were four of us and two small dogs. Our initial fear that it might be too cold was completely disproven. It was nice and cozy, with a pleasant atmosphere. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was very good. The kale, pan-fried fish, and schnitzel were top-notch! We have absolutely nothing negative to say. It was very, very tasty, and the portions were generous.

The food was very good. The schnitzel was tender and delicious, the salad was fresh, and the service was excellent, friendly, and attentive.

A perfect visit. The service was exceptionally friendly, they were able to tell us a lot about the wines and dishes and even offer personal recommendations. It's exactly what you'd want. We paid €50 per person for three courses with a bottle of wine and water, which we found reasonable. We especially recommend the terrace with its heaters, even when the outside temperature is 10-15 degrees Celsius. By far our best visit in Grömitz. Thank you very much.

It's truly the end of the day. The schnitzel burger is an absolute must! The perfect size, a super-delicious schnitzel, and just the right amount of salad and other ingredients. A huge compliment to the chef :) Haven't eaten this good in a long time 👍🏼

We went there twice, two days apart. We really enjoyed it. I'm someone who quickly finds something to complain about, but it was top-notch. The ambiance was rustic, the staff super friendly and knowledgeable. The wine recommendations were spot on, and the food (fish and shrimp) was all cooked to perfection. They even asked how cooked you'd like your salmon... top-notch! 2x super satisfied.

The Störtebeker restaurant is highly recommended; the staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. We once had plaice with fried potatoes and salad; the mango/mustard dressing is a must 😋. The schnitzel with fresh chanterelle mushrooms and fried potatoes was simply delicious, freshly prepared in a pan...not a deep-fried schnitzel!! Be sure to make a reservation; it's worth it.

A wonderful restaurant. There were six of us and we were allowed to sit at the regulars' table, so we had the pleasure of occasionally joking with the friendly staff, as the table is right next to the bar! The restaurant is beautifully decorated—a lovely Baltic Sea flair meets modernity, I'd say. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed it. The quality of the dishes is really very good and plentiful! All in all, the restaurant is a wonderful place to spend time with the family and enjoy delicious food!

We've been coming to this restaurant for years; the portions have gotten smaller and the quality has declined, but the prices have gone up. Both my partner and I were served burnt schnitzels on our last visit. After complaining, the new schnitzels were greasy, undercooked, and half of my fried potatoes were black. We were very disappointed.

This restaurant is a must-visit when visiting Grömitz. We had "Störtebeker's Shiet" (Baltic Sea salmon fillet, cod fillet, and shrimp with homemade herb butter and potatoes filled with creamed potatoes for €28.50) and "Holsteiner Fischerschnitzel" (with Arctic shrimp, mushrooms, and onions, homemade hollandaise sauce, and fried potatoes, also for €28.50), and both dishes were simply fantastic and incredibly delicious. We've never eaten such good fish or had such a perfect schnitzel. The service was exceptionally friendly: Despite having a reservation, we had to wait a few minutes for our table, and they apologized many times for this. And the service at the table was also very, very kind and friendly. Be sure to make a reservation and definitely visit.

My husband and I made a reservation online and were delighted with the quick, friendly confirmation. We've been traveling to Grömitz in the summer for years and stop at the Störtebeker at least once a year during our vacation. We were always served in a friendly and courteous manner. We got a table at this nice restaurant without a reservation (right at 5:00 p.m.). Since we're absolute schnitzel fans, we ordered the schnitzel with mushrooms and onions. It was delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. Make a reservation, as there were already people lined up on the street before opening, which speaks volumes about the restaurant. I highly recommend Störtebecker.

We enjoyed some delicious fish dishes. Both the "Pannfisch" (spiced fish) and the "Shiet" (fish mix) were perfectly prepared, tender as butter, and beautifully presented. The experience was rounded off by a very warm welcome and the very friendly and attentive table service. The ambiance is cozy, and the entire restaurant is lovingly decorated in a maritime style. We would be happy to return.

I can recommend the Störtebeker to everyone. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The food is very, very delicious, and I would go back anytime I'm in Grömitz. The landlady, Ms. Weidemann, where we rented the vacation apartment, is a very warm and welcoming landlady who made sure we lacked nothing. As a person and as a guest, I felt very comfortable with Ms. Weidemann and felt like I was coming home, which made me very happy. Reservations are recommended. Extremely friendly service with children and delicious food. However, the portions are a bit small... hence one star deduction.

Both fish and meat are always delicious. Reservations are recommended, as it's usually very busy. Both the restaurant and the terrace are very nice. If you mention you're bringing a dog, the staff will do their best to reserve a "quiet" table. A MUST on any vacation. Update June 2025: The food and service are still very good. Getting a "quiet table" is no problem if you bring a dog. They even moved a chair beforehand to ensure our large dog has enough space. We still love coming to you!

Today, to kick off our vacation, we wanted to eat light fish, and we weren't disappointed. After a friendly welcome and a table assignment, we were quickly served drinks by the extremely friendly and attentive staff. For our main course, we opted for the plaice Finkenwerder style, and it was truly deliciously light. It was preceded by a side salad with light dressing. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant.

There were four of us, and luckily we had reservations. We had a table at 6:30 p.m., but by 7:00 p.m., all the tables were occupied. The service was very friendly and attentive. The fish dishes were all excellent, and the house wine was top-notch. We'd be happy to return.

We ate there today with 2 adults and 3 children, the service was not good. There was no one there to order drinks. The two children's plates were totally over salted. I mentioned this straight away when they were served and I was fobbed off with the statement that we always do it that way. 2 children's plates 20 euros and 1 turkey with fries 21 euros and in the end hungry children because you couldn't eat the fries. I don't understand why they don't allow the new one to be made at the end of 105 euros and unfortunately we can't recommend it given the service

We always come here when we are in Grömitz. The food is really very good and the staff is super friendly. The atmosphere has that certain something. And dogs are always welcome there.

We went there last night on a recommendation. And all I can say is it was GREAT! Even the reservation was easy and friendly. We had a great table with a beautiful decoration. The Swrvice team including the senior chef was excellent. This also came to the table. The whole atmosphere was fantastic. We had the fish soup and potato soup in advance. The fish soup has plenty of good ingredients, the broth is excellently seasoned and also the right herbs. The potato soup tasted like my grandma's, a true childhood memory. Afterwards we had the pan fish and the Störtebeker Shiet with fried potatoes. Both fish dishes were prepared to perfection. Lightly mottled and well fried, the slats were glassy and slightly disintegrated. The fried potatoes are also wonderful. The portions are plentiful. The whole thing has a good price-performance ratio. Also recommend the drinks. The water drinks are part of a dispensing system, which is really great. The house red wine is also good. And what should also be highlighted positively is that the takeaway food in Rebowls comes with a deposit. Conclusion. We would be happy to come back and would definitely recommend it

Really good cuisine, I was there with my parents when I came for a weekend. I can warmly recommend the food we had. I had the disturbed citizen, my mom had the Old German style schnitzel and my dad had Störtebekers schitt. What we had was really tasty and we can recommend it. N.H.

We regularly eat at Störtebeker when we are in Grömitz. The service is always very nice and friendly - you just feel comfortable (especially when it's not busy).
