I made a reservation online on November 11th. To this day, I've received no response, no confirmation, nothing at all. When I called to inquire, I was told the restaurant was fully booked. The online reservation process is terrible.

Absolutely recommended! We've been regulars for years and are always thrilled. The food is outstanding – everything is fresh, high-quality, and prepared with love. You can immediately tell that the service is also done with heart: the entire team is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always in good spirits. What's particularly noteworthy is how thoughtfully they cater to dietary needs, such as lactose-free or gluten-free options. You truly feel understood and well taken care of. The value for money is excellent! The restaurant is also very child-friendly, which is a huge plus for us 😊 We've celebrated several events there, including our son's first day of school, and the overall service has been outstanding every time. We went there for lunch for the first time last Sunday, and we were thrilled. Such great German food is truly rare. The cordon bleu was amazing; nothing was lacking, and the waiters were all very friendly and attentive. I'm happy to give it 5 stars. Since it's already fully booked for Christmas, we'll be booking a table with our children at the beginning of December. And hot food is served all day. Our dogs are very welcome. Highly recommended....

Today: beef roulades with dumplings in Burgundy sauce and bacon-wrapped pork medallions with spaetzle in a mushroom cream sauce. Perfect, brilliant.

Great food, prices like many others, because the side salad is extra. There were about 12 of us, and everyone was satisfied. Unfortunately, the noise level is very high. Taking down the previous owners' curtains wasn't exactly a benefit in this regard.

Actually, a solid 6 out of 5. The food was sensational. Some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Prices are more than reasonable, and the overall atmosphere is simply cozy. Despite being a little over 60 km away, we'll be back. Thank you!!!

The price/performance ratio here is truly excellent! I had the cheese spaetzle. They were truly incredibly delicious! The fried onions on top weren't dripping with fat and were really crispy. The cheese was also great. It was spicy, mild, and very creamy. Simply delicious. My friend's schnitzel came unexpectedly with a delicious sauce. The schnitzel was excellent. A small but very nice detail is that each of the two schnitzels came with a slice of lemon on the plate.

Very good restaurant, in fact, one of the best I've been to! The food is delicious, very good quality and in quantity! We were 4 adults and a girl and they made room for us at a large table. The menu offers typical dishes from the area very well cooked and the portion is more than generous, so much so that we had to ask to take what was left with us. The Bolognese Schnitzel is delicious!! The main courses come with a side dish to choose from among several options such as Spätzle, French fries or salad. The children's dishes are also very, very good. What is worth highlighting is the attention of the staff. They are all very friendly and above all attentive! They are always attentive to ensure that nothing is missing and that everything is to your liking. A truly highly recommended place in an ideal setting bordered by green fields. We went on a bike tour through Königsfeld. Unfortunately, most restaurants are always closed between 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. ... The Schappelstube is open all day! We easily got a table for two around 2:30 p.m. without a reservation yesterday. We each had the Swiss sausage salad with fried potatoes and a non-alcoholic Ketterer beer. It was about €45, and the portions were so huge (there's also mixed salad hidden underneath the incredibly delicious sausage salad! 😄)... We both didn't force our portions, but no problem; they gave us a container and we took the rest with us. We'll be going back very soon because the other dishes they served also looked delicious and filling.

I was very satisfied with my visit to the Landgasthof Schlappestube in Königsfeld. The food was good and plentiful – just right for a relaxing evening. I particularly appreciated that special requests and changes to the side dishes were easily accommodated. The service was consistently attentive and friendly. When we spontaneously asked if we could sit outside, the table was set for us without hesitation and very easily. Overall, a pleasant stay that I would happily recommend.

We were looking for a nice restaurant with a beer garden and we found it. The service was very nice and friendly. The food was delicious and quick, even though a wedding party was still being served inside. My son almost ate the cordon bleu by himself. I was left with fries and dessert (it's not usually this much 😜)

Ordered at lunchtime and picked up in the evening. Unfortunately, a dish could not be understood over the telephone. They prepared this fresh on site in a very short time. The dishes themselves were all incredibly tasty and we will definitely get something again soon.

Portions are generous, prices are acceptable, entrance is accessible for disabled people. Busy restaurant, which is one reason why the food is excellent. In the rural area of ​​Königsfeld, near the clinic. I can only recommend it as a place to visit on the weekend. There are enough parking spaces available. I would like to eat there again. The only disadvantage: It's better to ask in advance whether a table is available or come on time.

Here you can find home-style cuisine at fair prices! I come to the Schappelstube with my wife occasionally and I can say that the food is always delicious and the portions are so large that we are always full, or we have my wife pack some of the food for the next day. It is always busy and it is therefore advisable to reserve a table.

Without a reservation it's a matter of luck. We hadn't made a reservation ☺️ but were informed that the table would be reserved again soon. Everything worked perfectly. The small salads beforehand were well prepared and well dressed. A salad dressing cannot always suit everyone's taste, because not everyone likes balsamic vinegar. I was satisfied. The cordon bleu with fries from my partner was very tasty. Without the annoying wooden skewer, the ham and cheese was well wrapped. The sauce was really well made, great flavor. My gardener schnitzel was very tasty. The vegetables still had a nice bite to them, so they were juicy enough that I didn't need any sauce. The fried potatoes were great, nice with bacon, which of course gave them a great aroma, which made me particularly happy. We'll be happy to come back, but next time we'll make a reservation and ask if there's liver on the menu, because the liver is said to be particularly good. 🤝

INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS food, which the staff unfortunately seems to be resting on... The food is really fantastic throughout, but unfortunately we were served by an older, grim lady who had absolutely no desire to take the order. In addition, a decorative glass ball broke on the neighboring table and was left lying there (shattered on the floor) until the end of our stay (for over 3 hours). Of course I understand that the staff is stressed, but it is still your "job" to serve in a friendly manner.

I was visiting the area for 3 days and was there twice because not only is there hot food there all the time (Mon + Die closed days), the food is very tasty and the value for money is excellent. The portions are really more than sufficient. The service is also very attentive and very exemplary!!! In short, everything was excellent. There are few restaurants that can be compared to the Schappelstube. Keep it up, all thumbs up!! On our next trip we will definitely take the detour to enjoy it again.
