Total failure in the kitchen, I don't have to go there again. I sometimes wonder how you can offer something like that and not be embarrassed about it.

Nice and very typical beer garden, very well located for a bike tour, as it is right in the English Garden. Easily accessible by car with its own paid parking space. There is always live music played here, you just shouldn't sit too close to the band. The male fish stand is also busy when there is a little more activity. The integrated playground keeps the children entertained, so that adults can spend a long time getting bogged down.

Considering that the associated restaurant is very upscale, the food in the beer garden is very average. Old and cold fries. Unfriendly bar staff.

Unfortunately a bit disappointed with the food in the beer garden. The portion of venison goulash with red cabbage and dumplings is very sufficient for a really hungry meal. The taste of the goulash was okay, and the red cabbage was just okay too. There was another parade for the church fair, but unfortunately it didn't work out. The dough is too floury and not crispy. Well, I'll give the beer garden another chance, maybe I was just unlucky today.

This is definitely the worst beer garden in Munich. If you're looking for unfriendly staff and cold food at exorbitant prices, this is the place for you. Everyone else should go somewhere else. If you like it...I don't need it again.

Overpriced and completely exorbitant prices.

One of the best Biergarten in Munich also with children. We particularly like the protected Spielplatz for children next to the benches. There is also a parking space (with Parkschein, but still!)- good food choice and nice staff!

A beautifully located beer garden in the northern part of the English Garden. Therefore it is well-grown with old trees and is also somewhat hidden, so that it is not quite as much of a tourist destination as other beer gardens. Large playground for the little ones. There are deductions because of the extremely high price levels in recent years. Example: 1/2 chicken with potato salad and a half, not a slim 25€. Half light €5.70. The renovation in 2024 in the self-service area was also carried out only half-heartedly, at an inopportune time and with a downright bad alternative offer. The old, dirty awnings now stretch over the new, shiny stainless steel delivery area and are particularly noticeable in a negative way. Sorry, but if you raise prices so confidently, the return has to be right, in terms of food, service and the cleanliness of all areas. This should be improved.

The special thing would be the live music. "Were". Unfortunately, those responsible are unable to update the program online. Announced events simply do not take place. The last thing you could read on the internet was “Company page last updated 10 weeks ago”. It's a shame and somehow disrespectful to the guests who are interested in music. Things like that don't work anymore today. As a guest you feel “insulted in your intelligence”. Most people know what that means in translation...!?

It is said to be the best beer garden in Munich. Oh well. Last round at 6:00 p.m., despite opening until 10:00 p.m. Maybe because there are not enough guests. But then tons of food is thrown away. Or saved for tomorrow's guests... It's a shame - we wanted to eat later (it's 5:50 p.m.). But (positive): the toilets are sparkling clean! And even more positive: 4-day week for employees.

Caution! Take a parking ticket, otherwise you will get a fine of €45. Pure rip off! In addition, quite high prices and modest quality of food. Attention, the owners know how it works!

Munich's worst beer garden? The only thing that scores points here is the beautiful location in the countryside. 8.10€ (!!!) for a large portion (a deep plate) of really underground, lukewarm fries, over 16€ for a small portion (a row) of inferior spare ribs and over 10 euros for a stale measure of shandy. If the quality was right: no problem. Unfortunately there is only one star in it... On the positive side for the operators: things can't get much worse now

We used to be here more often (children, playground, not so crowded, nice location, shady), but unfortunately the food is no longer good because it's overpriced and only satisfactory. The chicken was far too dry, the Obazdn was no longer homemade and the taste was rather underground. It's a real shame☹️

The politeness and respect at the food counter leaves a lot to be desired for some people. A slightly older, chubby guy with a mustache served me, didn't greet me, just stared at me strangely. And then slapped my food on the counter with a bad mood and some incomprehensible comments. The man didn't want to serve me. Maybe it was because I don’t look German? Anyway, I didn't let it spoil my mood, but of course I didn't get a good impression of this store.

In my opinion, Hirschau is the best beer garden in Munich. The food and beer are at least solid and you can also find vegetarian alternatives. We particularly like the somewhat remote location at the entrance to the northern part of the English Garden. From there you can take great walks and explore the best swimming spots on the Isar or Eisbach. So you get the all-round package of Munich savoir vivre here.

Jessas Maria............ that was nothing. The atmosphere in the English Garden is of course great. That's why we get 1st star. But that was it. You quickly pay EUR 40.50 for a quick stop. If you get good quality/food for it, I wouldn't have any objections. But: Currywurst 7.50 EUR, just the sausage without any side dishes, terribly nasty and only lukewarm. SMALL fries plus 5.70 EUR... greasy, hard, not edible and only lukewarm (they had certainly been in the warming dish for some time). 2 meat patties with potato salad 15.90 EUR Apple spritzer 0.5 L, 5.50 EUR bland and stale. Non-alcoholic wheat beer 0.5 L EUR 5.90 from the bottle, drinkable. At least the packaged portion ketchup was included for free. Of course, going to the toilet costs extra for the nice lady.... Doesn't have to happen again. SHAME!

Update 2024: Super friendly staff in the beer garden, which is rare these days. Unfortunately, at 9 p.m. with 26 degrees and the best weather, lukewarm spare ribs for 20 euros... Either premium, but then please do it correctly. Or normal... Nice beer garden with very high prices. The food is ok, but not reasonably priced. There needs to be more “wow” for this!

A really nice beer garden with food that bears no relation to the inflated prices. At noon at 12 we got French fries that had obviously been fried a long time ago. The sausage was also only lukewarm and tough. And at this price: 1 currywurst with 1 portion of fries and a 0.5 bottle of cola for a total of €18.70 - with self-service! I'm willing to pay good money for a good meal, but that's really not how it works! There are also other beautiful beer gardens in Munich…

I used to enjoy staying here, but since "the boys" took over, it's no longer the same. Excessive prices combined with poor service and mediocre food. In addition, as a guest you have to pay for parking without it being charged when you eat. The main thing is that the Tesla drivers (who come to charge without consuming anything) are supplied with electricity. Pride comes before a fall.

I don't understand the negative reviews. We were there yesterday. Live music Halifax was great, not too loud, there was even dancing. The chicken was good, the sausages too. The pork knuckles looked great too. Unfortunately the pretzel was very expensive and hard. Oktoberfest pretzels would be better. There is still room for improvement. The boys at the tavern were in a good mood and at the checkout there were of course wet wipes against fat fingers and beer mats against wasps. The staff was very friendly everywhere. Toilets very neat. It's a shame that the beautiful restaurant only has a high-priced menu and no individual dishes from the menu. We would like to eat there sometime because the menu is interesting. We'll be back.

Great small Biergarten in the Englischen garten- beers are good quality and the food good. The view isn’t so nice, but it was a good atmosphere.

The food was carelessly prepared, you had to take cold food out of a compartment yourself with cling film. The staff didn't shine with their friendliness. The food wasn't really that tasty and the price was almost ridiculous. €5.50 for a dumpling, €8 for a large and poor portion of fries. At least the children liked the crepes.

Pretty expensive. Fish was really good, but at that price why does the fish have to be eaten on parchment paper on the tray? You just have to pass a plate.

Nice beer garden, lots of shade, good food, beach volleyball courts and a large children's playground. The location also has a great event hall and an elegant a la carte restaurant, highly recommended.

Unfortunately there was hardly anything to eat at 5:00 p.m. and the last round started at 5:45 p.m.!!!! I have NEVER experienced such a failure!!!!!!!! One star was only given because there is no other way😭

Everything is fine, the crowding etc, but... the watered down drinks and the waiters who grab everything with their hands and growl at you if you don't hurry up and order.

We visit several beer gardens in Munich on weekends when we are out and about. The large pretzel for 7.30 euros is by far the most expensive I bought in Munich. These pretzels are probably from Nusr-Et personally salted.

For a typical Bavarian Biergarten experience, and here: with Steckerlfisch (smoked whole Fisch- the best) and as accustomed in Biergarten, you can buy drinks and bring your own food.

The location is great. In the middle of the English Garden, with old trees, right next to the playground. But the food is rather average and the prices are high. I think they have the smallest currywurst in the world here. Nevertheless, the ambience and coziness make up for it all.

No more! In my opinion, asking 5.70 euros for a “half” in a clumsy glass mug in the self-service area is clearly excessive. I also expect an ice-cold beer and no beer. At more cozy locations in Munich you can get a tasty, ice-cold “Halbe” Augustiner in a Willibecher with a gold rim for much cheaper. And served too!

When I visited you in the beer garden today I was actually surprised again. Not from the reduced range of food on offer and its quality, but rather from the fact that such a gastronomically experienced family, I would almost call you a gastronomic power in Munich, actually can't come up with a better solution for their temporary beer garden kitchen and drinks distribution... the refrigerated counter for cakes and cold beer garden food is still a joke, just like the rest of the food on offer. It can't be the fault of the staff, because there were enough of them. Then it's better to put up a sign saying "we don't feel like it"

Unfortunately very disappointing quality of food. The fried chicken was gristly and the crusty roast was cold. Price/performance not justified.

I would give zero stars if I could. In terms of food, the worst beer garden in all of Munich and the surrounding area (live in Munich). The fried chicken had almost only bones and fat underneath the breading, the roast pork was completely cold. The price is a disgrace. Given the selection of beer gardens, we will definitely not be coming back. This was the second chance after we were annoyed years ago. This was confirmed today. Now it's clear NEVER AGAIN!!!

Attention: Hirschau has transferred parking to “Mobility Hub”. Although theoretically 40 minutes are free, it can very quickly lead to a “contractual penalty” of €45.00. For a bad, expensive meal plus a “contractual penalty” of €45, NO THANK YOU! This year our summer party with 20 people is NOT in the Hirschau!!! Was our favorite beer garden until a year ago! Adieu!
