Schöner und ruhiger Biergarten. Nebenan ist auch ein Spielplatz. Die Preise sind mittlerweile allerdings teilweise unverschämt. Geschmacklich ist es gut, aber nicht besonderes und häufig lauwarm. Ein Schälchen Krautsalat kostet 5,5€… 4 Gabeln und weg ist das Ding…. Eine Maß Bier über 11€. Ein stilles Wasser 0,33 l 4€… Hauptgerichte meist ohne Beilage sodass es dann auch schnell recht teuer wird.

Maaßlos überteuert.... ist ja kein Hilton..sondern Biergarten...

Ambiente, Sauberkeit alles top. Aber hab eben die schlechtesten Käsespätzle meines Lebens gegessen. Ein Löffel lauwarme Pampe aus der Warmhalteschale und bisschen trockene Röstzwiebeln vom Hamberger. Kein Beilagensalat. 12€. Hab ich echt noch nie liebloser erlebt.

Ein schöner Biergarten mit mittelprächtigem Service. Die Herren beim Getränkeausschank waren sehr unfreundlich. Ansonsten hat es uns gut gefallen.

Nicht zuletzt eines der schönsten Biergärten in München. In keinster Weise überlaufen durch Touristen, sonder in einer traditionellen charmanten und ruhigen Atmosphäre. Klassisches Angebot von Spezialitäten der bayrischen Biergartenküche. Von Händl, Rahmschammerl und Kasspatzen alles auf einen guten Niveau. Ausgeschenkt wird Löwenbräu und (egal zu welcher Uhrzeit) auch als Halbe. Zudem wird Katzenzahlung akzeptiert.

Schöner Biergarten, guter Service und Speisen, saubere Toiletten. Abzug gibt es für extrem hohe Preise: z.B. Steckersfisch 25€, Schorle 0,5 l für 5,50€ und Kartoffelsemmel 2,30€.

Preise im Biergarten selbst für München viel zu teuer. Die Qualität der Speisen passt zudem nicht. Dann lieber wieder in andere Biergärten der Umgebung.

Ein typischer bayrischer Biergarten mit etwas gehobenerem Niveau. Das Essen ist besser als in den vergleichbaren Biergärten im Münchner Zentrum.

Genau das hatte ich mir von meiner Ankunft in München erhofft.

Schöner Biergarten mit viel Platz und einem großen Spielplatz. Freundliches Personal, das Essen ist so lala.

Es handelt sich um ein Selbstbedienungsrestaurant, und ich kann das halbe Hähnchen wärmstens empfehlen – es war unglaublich lecker. Die Atmosphäre ist fantastisch; die Leute genießen die Sonne, tanzen und trinken Bier.

Ein echt schöner Biergarten mit Spielplatz, Schatten, Bühne mit Live-Musik und einem guten Angebot an Essen und Trinken. Ob das Essen wirklich schmeckt kann ich leider nicht sagen, da wir etwas mitgebracht haben. Aber was man am Steckerlfisch-Grill und auf den Tellern der anderen Gäste gesehen hat, sah schon gut aus.

5,90 € für die Halbe Bier mit Selbstbedienung, finde ich schon arg. Darüber hinaus gibt es schönere Biergärten.

Preis Leistung wirklich enttäuschend. Pommes kalt und einfach schlecht. Dazu dünne Sauce aus der Packung. Obazda mit Brezel 17 Euro... Zahle das Geld grundsätzlich gerne, aber nicht dafür.

Zwei Sterne gibt's für die Musik, die war super. Aber alles andere lässt zu wünschen übrig. Schlange für die Getränke gute 15 Meter lang, wenn man dann dran ist wird man angeschrien warum man nicht sofort seinen Getränkewunsch hinausschreit. Spinatknödle ohne Spinat, Beilagensalat eine Handvoll Blätter mit ein bisschen Dressing, sonst nichts. 13€. Naja. Der halbe Biergarten ist leer, denn niemand will in der knallen Sonne hocken. Stattdessen prügelt man sich schon fast um freigewordene Schattentische. 9 Sonnenschirme sind im Einsatz, man würde sich allerdings 20 wünschen. Fazit: muss man nicht hin.

Schöner Ort, etwas ruhiger als die nahegelegenen Biergärten, mit gutem Fisch und Musik.

Ich habe hier mit meinem Tesla geladen und war gleichzeitig im Restaurant essen. Umso enttäuschender war es, im Nachhinein eine Parkforderung über 53 Euro zu erhalten. In all den Jahren, in denen ich Tesla-Supercharger nutze, habe ich es noch nie erlebt, dass man während des Ladevorgangs zusätzlich einen Parkschein ziehen muss – erst recht nicht, wenn man parallel auch noch Gast im Restaurant ist. Aus meiner Sicht darf man als Kunde in so einer Situation zumindest davon ausgehen, dass das Parken während der Ladezeit kostenfrei oder klar und unmissverständlich geregelt ist. Wie man auch in mehreren anderen Bewertungen sieht, scheint dieses Problem kein Einzelfall zu sein. Ich empfinde das Vorgehen als absolut unverschämt und kundenunfreundlich. Besonders ärgerlich: Ich habe mich an den Parkservice gewendet, die Situation erklärt und um Kulanz gebeten. Darauf wurde nicht wirklich eingegangen. Stattdessen wird weiterhin darauf bestanden, dass ich wegen angeblich 15 Minuten Überschreitung nun 53 Euro zahlen soll. Für mich ist das ein sehr enttäuschender Umgang mit Gästen und Tesla-Fahrern, die vor Ort laden und gleichzeitig das Restaurant nutzen.

Die Preise sind schon wild für das gebotene Essen. Auch für einen Münchner. Haben dort in den vergangenen Jahren oft verkehrt aber werden das nun ein paar Meter zum anderen Biergarten verlagern.

In summer, there's live music twice a week in the beer garden. A liter of Löwenbräu costs €10.40. But the kicker: a large pretzel costs €7.30!!!! It only cost €6.50 at Oktoberfest. The price tag was tiny and hidden away. Outrageous!

Rude staff. The man at the door likes to interfere in private conversations. He doesn't stop when asked. I haven't eaten anything, but it must taste delicious :)

Stopped for a quick bite. They were ripped off by the parking lot; they didn't notice the signs in the dark. They gave us a €53 bill for a "parking violation" for less than an hour (!) of parking. Now that's what I call customer service! We'll never come back here; there are other beer gardens in Munich!

The Hirschau in the English Garden is a rip-off. Not only high prices, but also an unreliable music program. This summer, almost half of the bands were canceled, the start times were incorrectly announced, or other bands performed than those advertised in the printed program or online.

The place is recommended, but there seems to be a parking fee at the parking lot even in the evening (after 8 p.m.) - we didn't see it and now we got a whopping €53 fine.

Top beer garden in Munich! A unique atmosphere with live brass music, located in the middle of the English Garden in a small wooded area, and a real insider tip for escaping the tourist crowds at the Seehaus and the Chinese Tower. The food and drinks are also highly recommended ☺️

Beautiful beer garden with very, very friendly staff. We unfortunately had a flat tire on our bike, and a helpful employee immediately pumped it up with a compressor. People still help each other here. Very nice. I'd love to come back.

I was a guest at a wedding here with around 140 people and many children. The buffet was very well organized, constantly being rearranged. The staff were consistently extremely attentive, helpful, and exceptionally friendly, even in their interactions (as they were interacting) with the youngest guests. The location is naturally exceptionally well-suited for something like this, and the end of the day in the vaulted cellar was also very nice, once again lasting well into the night. The staff were super friendly. The food itself was all very harmonious and plentiful. I didn't hear anyone complaining or grumbling. My enthusiasm at such events, of course, always lies with the sweets or desserts. It always makes me happy when you can tell that someone in the kitchen enjoys putting the finishing touches on the cake. That was definitely the case.

Beware of rip-offs! The parking lot in front of the building appears to be free at first glance. The parking sign is difficult to see, especially at dusk. I then had to pay €53 for parking without a ticket. This was done by Mobility Hub Park Service GmbH. That's not how you win customers.

The Hirschau has developed very positively under the new, younger generation. The multi-course menu was outstanding.

The Hirschau beer garden is located in the quiet northern part of the English Garden – a place that many people appreciate precisely for its relaxed, natural atmosphere. It was all the more disconcerting that a rave party took place this weekend with an unimaginably loud volume, filling not only the entire beer garden but also large parts of the northern part of the English Garden. Although there is live music at the Hirschau even on regular weekends – mostly Schlager, oldies, or dance music, which certainly suits the audience and the surroundings. However, in our opinion, a rave and techno event is completely inappropriate in this setting, which is more synonymous with quiet get-togethers and strolls – not with a club atmosphere in the park. For us as guests of the Hirschau and the northern part of the English Garden, this was extremely annoying and stressful. We hope that in the future, more attention will be paid to determining which types of events are compatible with the character of this special place.

Yesterday, an elderly gentleman with his dog on the Isar River gave us a wonderful tip: Instead of going to the Chinese Tower, go to the Hirschau Beer Garden – the locals go there. And he was right! We went that evening and were thrilled: The beer garden was busy, but pleasantly relaxed – hardly any tourists, but plenty of Munich residents enjoying the summer evening. There was live music, people were dancing, and the weather was fantastic. This is exactly what you imagine a perfect beer garden evening to be. The food was classic and really good: chicken and knuckle with potato salad – fresh, delicious, and no long wait. Add a cool Löwenbräu Helles and the music in the background… we stayed until late and didn't want to leave. If you're looking for a true Munich vibe, far from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. Thanks to the gentleman with the dog – we'll be back! 🍗🍻🎶

A beautifully situated beer garden in the northern part of the English Garden. It's surrounded by mature trees and somewhat hidden, making it less of a tourist destination than other beer gardens. There's a large playground for the little ones. There are deductions due to the drastically increased prices in recent years. For example: 1/2 chicken with potato salad and a half beer is a not-so-slim €25. 1/2 duck with dumplings is €30, and a half beer is €5.70.

The fresh Schmalznudeln are a hit. Hospitality here means that if the product is "sold out," it's immediately "freshly made," and takeout is no problem either. Kudos to the friendly and dedicated team!

I didn't like the food and it was really expensive.

What's absolutely unacceptable: driving to Hirschau to eat there at 8 p.m. on a Sunday, and the restaurant is closed, even though the internet says it doesn't close until 9:30 p.m. Respect!

A beautiful (small) beer garden, a real alternative to the beer garden at the Chinese Tower.

€5.90 for a half-pint of wheat beer is steep. The food is standard beer garden fare. Nothing for goths.

We were there in the beer garden with friends. I love the atmosphere there, as it's always a bit quieter than the overcrowded beer gardens in Munich. We had spare ribs with potato salad, a Obazden (a traditional German sausage), and one of the toastiest pretzels you can get anywhere in Munich. The spare ribs were excellent. And above all, they weren't dry. The potato salad seemed to have come out of the pot, like everywhere else in Munich these days, and it just didn't taste particularly good. The rest of the food was great, though, including the music playing there.

Fabulous to go with children for its wonderful playground, even with a zip line, wandering and with the possibility of being quiet and sitting at the Biergarten table without fear of the children, closed area and right in front of the tables for parents

Such a fun atmosphere with dogs everywhere. Highly recommend!

Overall, everything is perfect; the beer garden has a mass-processing feel.

Interestingly, non-alcoholic radler is only available in a liter mug, and the menu isn't for everyone. We all wanted baked mushrooms, but there were only some for me. I was the last one to go to the counter and said it was a shame they were already sold out and that they should please remove them from the menu. The employee was very surprised and said there were plenty. The people at the table were furious about the misinformation. Even more so when everyone tried my plate, because they were absolutely delicious. The highlight was the young lady at the cash register: a modern cash register, and she has major problems operating it. Not just with operating it, but also with calculating. The change function is foreign to her, and her head is overwhelmed. Three customers in front of me had major problems (and we all had cold food). Several times, I had to point out incorrect change, and it took several attempts each time. BUT not because too little was dispensed, but always far too much, and the coins were nowhere near the right size. If the guests hadn't been so honest, a serious cash loss would have been incurred from these customers alone. The owner would have to make up for the deficit from his own personal coffers. It's incomprehensible that no action has been taken.

It used to be my favorite beer garden, with good food. Last year, the food wasn't as good as usual, and now it's just disappointing! I went there for dinner with my girlfriend; the roast pork was completely underseasoned and lacked any sauce. The Obazda (traditional pork sausage) tasted like the cheap stuff from the supermarket. Unworthy of a Munich beer garden, probably the last time I'll be coming here. What a shame. PS: You're accusing me of defamation for the fourth time now to block this bad review. Even though I was verifiably there when I wrote the post. This is the honest opinion of a disappointed customer.

Tasty, satisfying stop in the park Hirschau im Englischen Garten is a nice spot for a quick and satisfying food break after a long walk in the park. We tried the currywurst and the sausage with cheese, both with fries on the side. Classic German options — very tasty and filling. A big plus: you can add sauces for the fries for free! The portions are generous, and it’s a good amount of food for the price. A solid choice if you’re looking for something casual and tasty during your visit to the English Garden and we really loved the vibes in the eating area.

I was back in the Hirschau beer garden after a long time, wanted to hear the Hinterberger musicians. Maß (liter of beer) Löwenbräu €10.70 For my second liter, the barman tried to refill the stein with a half-liter that was lying around, which I firmly refused. I was then yelled at in a language I didn't know. Large pretzel €7.30 Extremely dry, hard, and way too salty. Currywurst €7.50 Dry on the outside, lukewarm on the inside, and topped with run-of-the-mill ketchup. 1/2 chicken €13.40 Had left the grill a while ago and was sitting in the warming container with about 10-12 other halved chickens. Also soggy on the outside, lukewarm and saltless on the inside. Luckily, I still had enough pretzel left. The service could be described as distinctly Eastern European unfriendliness. A great, shady beer garden with a large playground for kids. It's a great place to hang out. It's best to bring your own food, as the prices are quite high. A chicken costs €12 without a side dish, and the Obatzda (traditional German dumplings) is a little over €10. Prices are like those at Oktoberfest, unfortunately!

This beer garden was our introduction to Münich. A beautiful but expensive one. The restaurant is located in the middle of a beautiful huge garden. We were also extremely lucky as we found a fabulous sunny day (the temperature dropped of 20 degrees in the following 3 days..) We found the food to be not particularly tasty as the ribs were just ok and the rest where things that could have hardly been bad. We found the price to be surprisingly expensive. We paid 46.90 for what you see in the picture: 2 beers, 1 main to share, 2 vegetable sides, 1 pretzel. The main was pre-cooked. It was on display together with a lot of other meat. The entire restaurant is buffet style. I didn't find the person who served us the meat to be particularly friendly.

What can I say? Top, top, top. Hosts. Lukas and Daniel and the entire crew make the visit a truly memorable experience. An excellent wine list with a selection for everyone.

For me personally, this is the best beer garden in Munich. Located just off the Ring Road in the quiet northern part of the E-Garden, the hectic tourists and polished wannabes fortunately usually head off to the Seehaus beer garden before they arrive. This keeps the Hirschau rather pure, authentic, and unspectacular. During the week, it's a pleasant place to relax, but on the weekends, it delights with a great atmosphere and live music. Wonderful!

So far the best beergarden for me. 1. very delicious and fresh fried fish 2. not too crowded, calm and nice looking 3. really clean bathrooms with warm water and great equipment.

We celebrated our wedding here in 2017 and we have wonderful memories. Note to owners: The parking spaces are monitored by Mobility and the signs are very small. We overlooked them on our last visit and received a payment request of €53 a few days later.
