Milchhäusl in München

Insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung, aber dass die Brezel nicht salzig war, hat mich echt geärgert. Ansonsten ein super Restaurant und der Kellner war exzellent.

„Glückliche“ Schweinebratwürstl? Da hatte das Schwein aber Glück, dass es jetzt auf eurem Teller liegen darf. Endlich das Lebensziel erfüllt!

Ich bin gerne hier. Zuletzt aber leider grotesk lange Wartezeiten auch bei kurzer Schlange. Dann lieber um die Ecke beim Kiosk vorbei.

Ein ruhiger Ort, den wir zufällig entdeckten, als wir den Tierarzt in der Nähe besuchten.

Ich bestellte einen Cappuccino zum Mitnehmen und wartete 20 Minuten, während mehrere Kunden vor mir bedient wurden. Ich musste dreimal nachfragen, um sie an meine Bestellung zu erinnern. Unglaublich.

Liegt direkt bei Englischer Garten Eingang. (5 min. Laufweg U3/U6 Haltestelle Universität)

Kiosk-Biergarten mit reichlich Bioprodukten.

Eigentlich ein super toller Kiosk, aber der Service gestern war eine absolute Katastrophe. Dabei war es zumindest scheinbar genug Personal, aber keine Hallo, kein Danke. Anscheinend war ein Getränk, dass wir bestellt und bezahlt hatten leer. Die Dame an der Kasse ist dann kommentarlos gegangen und für mehrere Minuten nicht wieder gekommen. Als sie mit Getränkekasten wiederkommen ist, hat sie uns und die mittlerweile doch größere Schlange ignoriert (statt uns z.B. einfach kurz das Getränk zu geben) und stattdessen ganz was anderes gemacht. Die anderen Kolleginnen auch. Jeder hat Verständnis, dass mal was aufgefüllt werden muss o.äy. Aber das man so wegignoriert wird und es absolut keine Kommunikation mit dem Kunden gibt …Schade!

Essen war schlicht und gut (Semmel mit Käse), Bier war auch gut, der gemütlichste Biergarten der Welt ist es nicht, aber dafür ein kleiner, heimeliger. Sehr nett und gut gelaunt waren die beiden Herren hinter der Theke. Allerdings: Trinkgeld einfordern mit dem Gerät und, auch wenn es spassig gesagt wurde, 10% ausrechnen und sagen muss nicht sein. Ihr zapft und legt aufn Teller, ich trage zum Tisch. Hat mich jetzt nicht arm gemacht, aber sowas nervt doch.

Ein hübscher Biergarten am Rande des Parks. Die Bedienung war hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Biere waren preiswert und die Atmosphäre war herrlich.

Ein hervorragender Biergarten und auch drinnen ist es geräumig. Ich hatte ein leckeres Baguette, genau die richtige Größe für ein Mittagessen!

Absoluter Kult in München: Das Milchhäusl. Als geborenes Schwabinger Kindl Pflichtprogramm hier einzukehren beim Spaziergang durch den E-Garten. Supernettes Team und gutes Essen. Für uns gab’s heute Nachmittag Ingwer-Zitronen Tee und dazu ein Croissant. Schön leicht und warm. Perfekt vor dem großen Weihnachtsessen einen Tag vor Heiligabend. Bitte macht einfach immer weiter so. Danke für diesen wunderbaren kleinen Ort.

Ein wunderschöner Ort! Es wirkte sehr gemütlich und lokal, das Personal war das freundlichste, dem wir in München begegnet sind. Ich durfte sogar verschiedene Weine probieren, bevor ich sie kaufte! Auch die Getränke waren hervorragend und der Service schnell.

Ich liebe diesen Biergarten am Rande des Englischen Gartens in München.

Comfortable and typical kiosk to stop with small children, good dishes and good prices too

Very good location, right at the entrance to the English Garden and with a large, fenced-in playground. 😊 The food includes a variety of soups/stews and classic snacks such as bratwurst/Leberkäse, all of good quality. The staff is very friendly and accommodates special requests. 👍 Prices are reasonable. The discarded ski gondolas, which you can also sit in, are a nice change. Otherwise, you can always enjoy a comprehensive view of the playground from the beer garden area. 😁 Public restrooms are available 30 meters away for 50 cents. Overall, a good place for a quick stop with a snack/drink! From here, you can continue on to the Eisbach, Monopteros, the Chinese Tower, or into town!

Always good for a beer in good company

I like the concept. I had a sausage salad. My impression was the same as before. Both the look and the taste. By the evening, I had an upset stomach. And that for €16! You don't need that.

I was looking forward to a hot cappuccino for my walk in the cool temperatures... The two stars are for the vegan milk alternative, which is really nice. Otherwise, it was a rather tasteless mess; you could taste absolutely no coffee flavor, and the whole thing wasn't even lukewarm! It wasn't even hot 🫤 I did consider going back and complaining, but I had already been waiting for it for a long time, and the line was still long. So I would definitely avoid coffee drinks here. The tipping system, which is becoming more common these days, is also strange: you have to select a tip from 7% upwards on the card reader (for self-service, mind you!), and there's also a button for "no" in the bottom right. I find it totally unpleasant, especially that it doesn't even start at 5 🤷‍♀️ I don't think I'll get anything from here again.

I'm not paying 50 cents for the restroom when I use it! Should I pay for everything?

Whilst it is in a lovely location and the food and prices were reasonable,the service I experienced left a lot to be desired. Next time I'll bring my own picnic and save some angst.

What more could you ask for than a meal by the English garden, in a peaceful setting with a good plate of Bavarian cuisine! A simple lunch in this unpretentious kiosk that delights the taste buds. The only downside: no toilets

Absurd pricing for mediocre food.

Certainly well-suited for tourists who want to try some truly authentic Bavarian delicacies. The reasonable prices (€5.90 for a Leberkasse sandwich) and the moderate quality of the food complement this. A classic tourist must-do!

Beautiful and small beer garden in the midst of the gorgeous English Gardens, a perfect place for a break during long walks through the scenic backdrops that is the gardens. Excellent playground for kids, places for groups of all sizes, or for the solo traveller looking for an afternoon beer.

We were here today with Eat-the-World and thought the concept was pretty good. Unfortunately, our second visit was different. We ordered and were given a radio receiver because they'd just run out of sausages. After about 15 minutes, I went back to the counter, where the salad was waiting, but no sausage. Someone else had gotten that, and they were surprised... Then we had to wait again, and again we weren't informed. The radio receiver never gave a signal. A lot of young and not very experienced people work here, and no one coordinates or oversees everything. Using the restrooms was also nice, because the men's restroom was flooded, or worse. It cost 50 cents. Glasses and dishes were piled up on the tables, and during our entire visit, there weren't many people in line; there were no more than two people in line. The food was okay, considering it was organic.

Limited selection. We were unlucky, and many dishes were out of stock. The potato salad was also very bland and watery, with a slight vinegary taste. The portions were small. It was quite crowded, and some of the tables weren't cleared and were dirty. The service was friendly.

Great location, nice little house, but the prices are completely unreasonable. Two wieners and a dollop of potato salad (nothing special) for €13.90. A pretzel, thinly spread with fruit, for €5.90. Outrageous.

You pay 50 cents for the toilets, which is totally fine, but there is no toilet paper and it is in an extremely dirty condition!

Very, very nice place! Right at the entrance to the English Garden. You can take drinks with you, but you can also sit there and enjoy the lovely ambiance of the Milchhäusl in the green. Thank you.

I always enjoy going to Milchhäusl! It's a great kiosk with a beer garden and an attached playground—everything a man/family needs. I love the fact that all the products (except beer) are organic...

Great location, especially with kids, right next to the playground. The gentleman in the checkered hat, however, was rather Bavarian-unfriendly. Maybe he should have been a police officer rather than a waitress. Still, 4 stars overall for the delicious organic food and the coffee from the portafilter (instead of the usual machine).

I had goulash soup today for almost 10 euros (9.80), I think. It was a lot of water with very few vegetables and 8 pieces of meat, the pieces of meat were 5 mm by 5 mm. There are also 3 small baguette slices. In my opinion, never again.

Great location on the edge of the English Garden. The ski lift cabins are an eye-catcher and invite you to relax and unwind.

Great warming stop on a winter walk in the park…

Location is cool, the gondolas are super comfortable and protected from the weather. I think there is still a bit of room for improvement in terms of food and service, but there was nothing negative.

After looking for a long time to quench our thirst in this immense park, we came across this very pleasant stop. Very good place, charming staff. Sehr gute Address, charming Personal. Alles war sehr gut.

Beautifully located, well-kept snack bar in the English Garden, highly recommended. I had a Leberkäse which was great and the grilled sausages were also very tasty.

Unfortunately if you are a tourist or simply a foreigner who speaks German - you will get trouble instead of service for your money.

Unfortunately I don't recommend this "restaurant" only in case you pay money for food and drinks but end up getting insulted by the manager. And he will speak to you in English even though you spoke German. It bothers him that there is water on the table for children and that you also talk to friends in other languages. I won't spend any more money for such service in the restaurant.

Cult kiosk/beer garden in a beautiful location. Practical when you are at the Eisbach and need to go to the toilet! The baguette was also very tasty - service was chaotic and not nice!

Nowhere in the world would you have to wait in line for longer. Dirty dishes pile up. Of the 3 people behind the issue, 2 are standing around doing nothing. But the drinks were cold. Therefore 2 stars.

It's a shame about the Milchhäusl. The staff is what makes it...the staff today was uncoordinated and slow. Poppy seed cake was good, espresso cold and with grounds. Even pouring it into a new cup doesn't help. 😥

Coffee and cake very good, unfortunately the staff is terrible, you actually think it's a mercy if they ask you what you would like to order and, above all, pay for. There are actually better locations in Munich

In the case of the Leberkässemmel, the roll was dry and crumbly, the Leberkäs was cold and tasteless and it was all quite expensive. Not recommended if you're looking for a good snack
