Milchhäusl in München

I always enjoy going to Milchhäusl! It's a great kiosk with a beer garden and an attached playground—everything a man/family needs. I love the fact that all the products (except beer) are organic...

As an option due to proximity to the English Garden o.k.

Lovely beer garden kiosk, good organic products and very friendly staff!

Great location, especially with kids, right next to the playground. The gentleman in the checkered hat, however, was rather Bavarian-unfriendly. Maybe he should have been a police officer rather than a waitress. Still, 4 stars overall for the delicious organic food and the coffee from the portafilter (instead of the usual machine).

Drinking okay and eating okay too.

Quick and delicious snacks, drinks, and hot meals right on the Eisbach. Very friendly service.

If you want to drink beer, it can be good place. Your kids play in playground. But the food is not good and tasty

Super friendly staff, good atmosphere:) the pretzels fresh from the oven with obazda were awesome :) the schocko croissants are warm and not so overly sweet. Totally delicious. gladly again!

I had goulash soup today for almost 10 euros (9.80), I think. It was a lot of water with very few vegetables and 8 pieces of meat, the pieces of meat were 5 mm by 5 mm. There are also 3 small baguette slices. In my opinion, never again.

1.) Location: Mega location in the English Garden. 2.) Ambiance: Cute kiosk, very aesthetically renovated. Unfortunately it seems rather unkempt. Bottoms, pushers for mustard and ketchup smeared… 3.) Service was very slow and not very enthusiastic… It's a shame about the beautiful location… Great simple organic food

Great location on the edge of the English Garden. The ski lift cabins are an eye-catcher and invite you to relax and unwind.

Outdoor cafe, with repurposed booths on the outside terrace. Very original.

Small place run by two very friendly girls. A few soup dishes and decent sausage sandwiches. Fair price.

Great warming stop on a winter walk in the park…

Location is cool, the gondolas are super comfortable and protected from the weather. I think there is still a bit of room for improvement in terms of food and service, but there was nothing negative.

Very uniquely designed place .. they were closed for Christmas but still they entertained us and served what left out. The guy was very nice and helpful . Thanks

After looking for a long time to quench our thirst in this immense park, we came across this very pleasant stop. Very good place, charming staff. Sehr gute Address, charming Personal. Alles war sehr gut.

Beautifully located, well-kept snack bar in the English Garden, highly recommended. I had a Leberkäse which was great and the grilled sausages were also very tasty.

Unfortunately if you are a tourist or simply a foreigner who speaks German - you will get trouble instead of service for your money.

Unfortunately I don't recommend this "restaurant" only in case you pay money for food and drinks but end up getting insulted by the manager. And he will speak to you in English even though you spoke German. It bothers him that there is water on the table for children and that you also talk to friends in other languages. I won't spend any more money for such service in the restaurant.

Cult kiosk/beer garden in a beautiful location. Practical when you are at the Eisbach and need to go to the toilet! The baguette was also very tasty - service was chaotic and not nice!

Very friendly staff, great food and a good selection of drinks. Prices are also good, but relatively high for Munich. There is good quality for that. The Budl itself is a bit confusing. Keep it up, I'll be happy to come back.

They have very nice, down-to-earth dishes and also spelled rolls, sometimes they are so overrun that there is very little left because there is simply a nice place with a playground and the English Garden next door...

Nowhere in the world would you have to wait in line for longer. Dirty dishes pile up. Of the 3 people behind the issue, 2 are standing around doing nothing. But the drinks were cold. Therefore 2 stars.

It's a shame about the Milchhäusl. The staff is what makes it...the staff today was uncoordinated and slow. Poppy seed cake was good, espresso cold and with grounds. Even pouring it into a new cup doesn't help. 😥

Coffee and cake very good, unfortunately the staff is terrible, you actually think it's a mercy if they ask you what you would like to order and, above all, pay for. There are actually better locations in Munich

In the case of the Leberkässemmel, the roll was dry and crumbly, the Leberkäs was cold and tasteless and it was all quite expensive. Not recommended if you're looking for a good snack

It was a very windy day when I visited so very quiet, I’d been exploring solo for hours and this place was exactly what I needed. Service can’t be beat, they were so lovely, made me a personalised cocktail, and the food was gorgeous. Highly recommend.

Great ambience, nice beer garden, the boss is still passionate about it! We were allowed to take over the old gondolas from Axel and give them a new life 🪵🏔️🚡! Cool nice honest guy!!!

Small “bistro” at the English Garden. We sat in the “carts” and enjoyed our beer 👌🏻 the playground next door was well attended.

Underground gastronomy! Ordered 2 simple soups - pumpkin soup and goulash soup. Paid over 18 euros. What came was 2 tiny portions, the goulash soup was totally bland and watery. We later had health problems with both soups. So be careful! You can totally forget about the food.

The MilchHäusl is an institution in Munich. Everyone knows it, and the iconographic location is often mentioned as a meeting place to meet for the English Garden. You can also get a snack and drinks here. Whole meals are also offered. It is worth mentioning the commitment of the MilchHäusl to offer the products in organic quality wherever possible. However, this is also reflected in prices. Here everyone can prove that organic is worth more. Unique in Munich is the opportunity to drink mulled wine in the ski lift gondolas in winter, or beer in summer. It's really cozy and a great experience for children. Sometimes it can be full, then the beautiful place becomes a victim of its success. However, it's worth queuing for a good cappuccino. The MilchHäusl is definitely a specialty in Munich and is as well-known as it is popular with Munich residents.

In the English Garden, MilchHäusl is my first stop for soft drinks. I really enjoy being here. In summer there is a beer garden atmosphere and in winter there are gondolas to sit in or a fire bowl. There is a great selection of drinks. There is also food, but I haven't tried it yet.

Few food options, the beer is very good, but they don't accept cards, only cash, and THERE ARE NO BATHROOMS, which is why in my opinion, the service isn't the best.

Die kulinarische Qualität steht in keinem Verhältnis zum Preis! Oder andersrum: katastrophales Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis! Haben u.a. für 5 Euro einen Schoko-Käse-Kuchen gegessen - so etwas Trockenes und Geschmackloses hab ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Reklamation endet mit der Ausrede: „Den haben wir heute frisch gemacht“ …um so trauriger. Der Glühwein rose war nicht wirklich besser. Never ever gehe ich dort hin!!

Das Milchhäusl ist und bleibt urig. Die Preise für die recht leckeren Bratwürste sind fair, alle sind freundlich - aber SORRY; das Brötchen war völlig trocken und nur zum Festhalten der Bratwürste zu gebrauchen.

Leider nicht mehr das, was es vor der Renovierung war, trotzdem gemütlich zum pausieren.

Very chill place in the English garden- it was very refreshing after a long day walking with kids, and had a nice sand playground right next door. This place is CASH ONLY at the time of my visit, so plan for that!

Ein liebenswerter, kleiner Biergarten, meist abseits des Trubels am Chinesischen Turm. Früher ein einfacher Kiosk am Eingang zum Gartendenkmal, heute Ausschank (HB) und Schmausküche. Bio. Herrlich!

Der Mohnkuchen und Cappuccino sind wirklich einsame Spitze, gönne ich mir einmal im Jahr, sehr nettes Personal und tolles Biergartenambiente.

Eigentlich schöne Lage am See. Dennoch ist das Personal derart unfreundlich und scheint einfach nur genervt. Beim ersten Besuch konnte man die Bedienung noch durch permanentes Lob motivieren, beim zweiten Besuch wurden wir unfreundlich weggeschickt, nachdem wir drinnen Platz genommen haben. Es wäre nur draußen Service. Ich verstehe, dass bei schönem Wetter viel los ist, aber zahlende Kunden mit einem derartigen Tonfall wegzuschicken, damit schadet man leider seinem Geschäft. Das Essen war - dem ersten Besuch nach zu urteilen - in Ordnung. Aber an der Kundenfreundlichkeit sollte definitiv gearbeitet werden.

Ein sehr schöner Ort zum verweilen. Beim Spaziergang mit hohen Temperaturen durch den Englischen Garten, ein perfekter Ort, um sich bei einem kühlen hellen zu erholen. Hier lässt es sich im Schatten gut aushalten immer wieder gerne!

Hermoso parquesito para los padres tomar cerveza, mientras miras a los niños jugar. Los juegos están en un arenero, en medio de la naturaleza, hermoso. Hay poco variedad de comida. Muchas cosas estaban agotadas. No era especialmente rica la comida, aunque no estaba mal. Recomendable para familias con niños.

Lange Wartezeit für ein Getränk, wenn man nachdem Getränk die Toilette besuchen will muss man 50 Cent bezahlen. Diese kann man einlösen wenn man sich wieder in der Schlange anstellt und erneut ein Getränk kauft 🤣. Ein alkoholfreies Radler bekommt man nur wenn man zwei kauft. Service bei diesen Preisen sieht anders aus.

The atmosphere is really good ,you can sit with big trees and you can feel the nature but when you want to buy some foods you must not expect a good service because they are not friendly and they are a little bit rude

When in need for a coffee or tea break I come here after a walk around the park. The only problem is that they don't take cards, or at least when I went. Unfortunately this is too common in Munich. I also like that it is near a toilet within the park.

Baba Ort zum trinken. Das Bier bekommt man natürlich in einem krügerl. Ich hab’s bloß umgefüllt 👉🏽👈🏽. Man wird nett bedient und ist direkt im ❤️en Münchens. Das Biergarten feeling ist auf jeden Fall am Start. Die tattoowierte mit den Locken hat mir den besten Service gegeben. Jederzeit wieder
