Just waited 50 minutes for a coke!! They work very slowly here!

A true Munich institution: Milchhäusl. As a native of Schwabing, stopping here is a must during a stroll through the E-Garden. A super friendly team and great food. This afternoon we had ginger-lemon tea with a croissant. Nice and light and warming. Perfect before our big Christmas dinner the day before Christmas Eve. Please keep up the great work. Thank you for this wonderful little place.

Lovely place! It felt very local and cozy, the staff was the friendliest we encountered in Munich, I was even given different wines to try before buying! Also great drinks and fast service

Comfortable and typical kiosk to stop with small children, good dishes and good prices too

Very good location, right at the entrance to the English Garden and with a large, fenced-in playground. 😊 The food includes a variety of soups/stews and classic snacks such as bratwurst/Leberkäse, all of good quality. The staff is very friendly and accommodates special requests. 👍 Prices are reasonable. The discarded ski gondolas, which you can also sit in, are a nice change. Otherwise, you can always enjoy a comprehensive view of the playground from the beer garden area. 😁 Public restrooms are available 30 meters away for 50 cents. Overall, a good place for a quick stop with a snack/drink! From here, you can continue on to the Eisbach, Monopteros, the Chinese Tower, or into town!

Always good for a beer in good company

I like the concept. I had a sausage salad. My impression was the same as before. Both the look and the taste. By the evening, I had an upset stomach. And that for €16! You don't need that.

I was looking forward to a hot cappuccino for my walk in the cool temperatures... The two stars are for the vegan milk alternative, which is really nice. Otherwise, it was a rather tasteless mess; you could taste absolutely no coffee flavor, and the whole thing wasn't even lukewarm! It wasn't even hot 🫤 I did consider going back and complaining, but I had already been waiting for it for a long time, and the line was still long. So I would definitely avoid coffee drinks here. The tipping system, which is becoming more common these days, is also strange: you have to select a tip from 7% upwards on the card reader (for self-service, mind you!), and there's also a button for "no" in the bottom right. I find it totally unpleasant, especially that it doesn't even start at 5 🤷‍♀️ I don't think I'll get anything from here again.

I'm not paying 50 cents for the restroom when I use it! Should I pay for everything?

Whilst it is in a lovely location and the food and prices were reasonable,the service I experienced left a lot to be desired. Next time I'll bring my own picnic and save some angst.

What more could you ask for than a meal by the English garden, in a peaceful setting with a good plate of Bavarian cuisine! A simple lunch in this unpretentious kiosk that delights the taste buds. The only downside: no toilets

Certainly well-suited for tourists who want to try some truly authentic Bavarian delicacies. The reasonable prices (€5.90 for a Leberkasse sandwich) and the moderate quality of the food complement this. A classic tourist must-do!

Absurd pricing for mediocre food.

Beautiful and small beer garden in the midst of the gorgeous English Gardens, a perfect place for a break during long walks through the scenic backdrops that is the gardens. Excellent playground for kids, places for groups of all sizes, or for the solo traveller looking for an afternoon beer.

We were here today with Eat-the-World and thought the concept was pretty good. Unfortunately, our second visit was different. We ordered and were given a radio receiver because they'd just run out of sausages. After about 15 minutes, I went back to the counter, where the salad was waiting, but no sausage. Someone else had gotten that, and they were surprised... Then we had to wait again, and again we weren't informed. The radio receiver never gave a signal. A lot of young and not very experienced people work here, and no one coordinates or oversees everything. Using the restrooms was also nice, because the men's restroom was flooded, or worse. It cost 50 cents. Glasses and dishes were piled up on the tables, and during our entire visit, there weren't many people in line; there were no more than two people in line. The food was okay, considering it was organic.

Great location, nice little house, but the prices are completely unreasonable. Two wieners and a dollop of potato salad (nothing special) for €13.90. A pretzel, thinly spread with fruit, for €5.90. Outrageous.

You pay 50 cents for the toilets, which is totally fine, but there is no toilet paper and it is in an extremely dirty condition!

Limited selection. We were unlucky, and many dishes were out of stock. The potato salad was also very bland and watery, with a slight vinegary taste. The portions were small. It was quite crowded, and some of the tables weren't cleared and were dirty. The service was friendly.

I always enjoy going to Milchhäusl! It's a great kiosk with a beer garden and an attached playground—everything a man/family needs. I love the fact that all the products (except beer) are organic...

Great location, especially with kids, right next to the playground. The gentleman in the checkered hat, however, was rather Bavarian-unfriendly. Maybe he should have been a police officer rather than a waitress. Still, 4 stars overall for the delicious organic food and the coffee from the portafilter (instead of the usual machine).

I had goulash soup today for almost 10 euros (9.80), I think. It was a lot of water with very few vegetables and 8 pieces of meat, the pieces of meat were 5 mm by 5 mm. There are also 3 small baguette slices. In my opinion, never again.

1.) Location: Mega location in the English Garden. 2.) Ambiance: Cute kiosk, very aesthetically renovated. Unfortunately it seems rather unkempt. Bottoms, pushers for mustard and ketchup smeared… 3.) Great warming stop on a winter walk in the park…

Location is cool, the gondolas are super comfortable and protected from the weather. I think there is still a bit of room for improvement in terms of food and service, but there was nothing negative.

After looking for a long time to quench our thirst in this immense park, we came across this very pleasant stop. Very good place, charming staff. Sehr gute Address, charming Personal. Alles war sehr gut.

Beautifully located, well-kept snack bar in the English Garden, highly recommended. I had a Leberkäse which was great and the grilled sausages were also very tasty.

Unfortunately I don't recommend this "restaurant" only in case you pay money for food and drinks but end up getting insulted by the manager. And he will speak to you in English even though you spoke German. It bothers him that there is water on the table for children and that you also talk to friends in other languages. I won't spend any more money for such service in the restaurant.

Unfortunately if you are a tourist or simply a foreigner who speaks German - you will get trouble instead of service for your money.

Cult kiosk/beer garden in a beautiful location. Practical when you are at the Eisbach and need to go to the toilet! The baguette was also very tasty - service was chaotic and not nice!

They have very nice, down-to-earth dishes and also spelled rolls, sometimes they are so overrun that there is very little left because there is simply a nice place with a playground and the English Garden next door...

It's a shame about the Milchhäusl. The staff is what makes it...the staff today was uncoordinated and slow. Poppy seed cake was good, espresso cold and with grounds. Even pouring it into a new cup doesn't help. 😥

Coffee and cake very good, unfortunately the staff is terrible, you actually think it's a mercy if they ask you what you would like to order and, above all, pay for. There are actually better locations in Munich

In the case of the Leberkässemmel, the roll was dry and crumbly, the Leberkäs was cold and tasteless and it was all quite expensive. Not recommended if you're looking for a good snack

What we ordered on the menu was very delicious, the presentations of the ideal beer, very delicious. Economical and pretty.

It was a very windy day when I visited so very quiet, I’d been exploring solo for hours and this place was exactly what I needed. Service can’t be beat, they were so lovely, made me a personalised cocktail, and the food was gorgeous. Highly recommend.

Underground gastronomy! Ordered 2 simple soups - pumpkin soup and goulash soup. Paid over 18 euros. What came was 2 tiny portions, the goulash soup was totally bland and watery. We later had health problems with both soups. So be careful! You can totally forget about the food.

The MilchHäusl is an institution in Munich. Everyone knows it, and the iconographic location is often mentioned as a meeting place to meet for the English Garden. You can also get a snack and drinks here. Whole meals are also offered. It is worth mentioning the commitment of the MilchHäusl to offer the products in organic quality wherever possible. However, this is also reflected in prices. Here everyone can prove that organic is worth more. Unique in Munich is the opportunity to drink mulled wine in the ski lift gondolas in winter, or beer in summer. It's really cozy and a great experience for children. Sometimes it can be full, then the beautiful place becomes a victim of its success. However, it's worth queuing for a good cappuccino. The MilchHäusl is definitely a specialty in Munich and is as well-known as it is popular with Munich residents.

In the English Garden, MilchHäusl is my first stop for soft drinks. I really enjoy being here. In summer there is a beer garden atmosphere and in winter there are gondolas to sit in or a fire bowl. There is a great selection of drinks. There is also food, but I haven't tried it yet.

Few food options, the beer is very good, but they don't accept cards, only cash, and THERE ARE NO BATHROOMS, which is why in my opinion, the service isn't the best.

Die kulinarische Qualität steht in keinem Verhältnis zum Preis! Oder andersrum: katastrophales Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis! Haben u.a. für 5 Euro einen Schoko-Käse-Kuchen gegessen - so etwas Trockenes und Geschmackloses hab ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Reklamation endet mit der Ausrede: „Den haben wir heute frisch gemacht“ …um so trauriger. Der Glühwein rose war nicht wirklich besser. Never ever gehe ich dort hin!!
