Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined significantly in recent years. The staff at the food counter is unfriendly even when there is little activity (stress).

Rustic beer garden in the “heart” of Erlangen. Good selection of food and drinks. The food is tasty and most likely a lot of it is homemade. One indication, for example, was the potato salad. You don't get such an uneven and large cut in a bucket 🤣 That's how it has to be! Good beer, but relatively expensive at 4.90 euros.

This is not a beer garden, for me it is an emotional hammock, study room and a green, tree-lined cathedral in the countryside. Almost a precursor to paradise, if not an earthly extension of it. Here you can rest in the balance of your soul, blessed by well-balanced, spicy hop indulgences in the stone jug. Even Zirze would succumb to the special magic of this place. Even the first sip, for example of the home-brewed monthly beer or the “Bratwörscht” (Güthlein Butcher’s Shop) with cabbage, leads to a deep inner peace that no one can or wants to escape.

Yesterday was my last visit to Entlas. The prices are now simply no longer justified, if you think about visiting a cellar outside of Erlangen and Forchheim you pay 1/3 and it tastes better too. Entlas somehow just feels like a tourist spot.

I really love this place. Every time I come to training at Erlangen, I don't miss coming to drink beer here. Good atmosphere, good-tasting beer. I really like the beer mug. I always keep it as a souvenir.

The Entlas Keller in Erlangen is a great cellar - inviting, with fast and good service and delicious food. Highly recommended!

Been here so many times, am running out of choices on the menu. The Nikl Hell is always great of course.

There is always a well-mixed audience here. From young to old. Beer and food offered as you would expect in a beer garden. It's completely stress-free thanks to self-service. It's a good place to sit and if you're open, you can make contact quickly.

Every year we enjoy the ambience in Erlangen, in this beer garden. Musical entertainment and good food with Schäufele or roast duck...delicious. A tour of the cellar is also very interesting.

Large basement clearly for mass operations. When music is good mood. Eating in bulk, spaetzle from a bag with too much cream and ready-fried onions, vegetarian dishes are rather poor, toilets and roasts are always possible. Hardboard is good.

Very suitable if you want to go to the beer garden with several people without a reservation. Beautiful tree backdrop and places for all weathers.

Great, huge, cozy, rustic beer garden in the middle of old, tall trees. Long queues for drinks and food are quickly "handled" (in a positive sense) thanks to good organization. Food is relatively expensive but really good. You can also eat snacks that you have brought with you.

Below-average prepared goods, small portions and medium-friendly staff at the food stand. It's a shame because the ambience could be nice.

Unfortunately, the selection of food was minimal because I was looking forward to a duck. That was a real shame.

The place was very beautiful and it had a vibe , the food was just ok but a very good place to spend the evening with friends and family. As it was a company meet for me it was pretty much fun.

Great cellar with moderate prices and fair portions. Limburger with music was very tasty, as was duck. Unfortunately, the red cabbage was very mushy when it was served. The dumplings were very dense and not fluffy/soft as usual. But overall, always worth a visit. You can also pay with card at each of the stations (beer, snack, warm).

Simply great even in mixed weather! With live music, delicious beer and the obligatory quarter duck with red cabbage and dumpling. But so delicious!!!

Classic beer garden with self-service. Mostly beer benches, some chairs. I particularly liked the selection of vegetarian dishes. I can definitely recommend Shakshuka!

Food: Hähnla is delicious, just like the cellar size. Service: It's cool. Ambiance: When the weather is very nice like today, it's a dream and otherwise it's beautiful.

We had a team event and everything was really well coordinated. Really one of my favourite kellers in Erlangen. One little point of improvement is that I miss on the menu is something to eat that is only plant based (vegan).

Go there, sit down, you won't get up again!

Yesterday we ate 1/4 duck with dumpling and red cabbage. A few hours later we both had stomach pains with severe diarrhea. These complaints have so far lasted 24 hours. Never again!

We were there in the early afternoon, there was nothing going on, the garden is huge, self-service, if you like it cozy this is the wrong place, half the cellar beer is 4.50, otherwise in gardens outside, you can also get it for 3.50, you should but have seen it! Have fun and enjoy your thirst!

Great place, really nice beer garden. The Franconian Schäufele was exactly as it should be in terms of taste and consistency. I'd love to come by again.

The beer of the month ("Sven") is one of the best I've ever had in Franconia. Surprisingly good sausage salad. You can hear the rustling from the nearby street.

Food used to be good. Sausage salad tastes like it comes from a discounter in the south. Otherwise ok. The toilet wasn't particularly inviting either.

Back in the basement after a long time. It was quite well filled and the beer tasted good too. Only the cash registers/booths were quite tense and sometimes not well organized.

Sorry, I don't think €4.60 for a beer that you have to get yourself is appropriate, that's a disgrace for the Franconian beer region. At the Bräustüberl on Tegernsee, a Seidla currently costs €3.30 and is brought to the table, which is a fair price.

Actually a nice place. But what should be improved is the supply of drinks and food at the time of the Bergkirchweih. Maybe you should equip the jugs with an RFID chip and everyone gets their own drink at the tap station. Then the waitresses can focus on the food. When I was there we also ran out of shanks and shovels, which wasn't great.

Delicious Schäufele and other beer garden food. The paintings on the jugs are very beautiful every year :) Everything is also suitable to visit outside of the mountain.

Visit during the Bergkirchweih! The ambience at Entlas is always good, the food is ok (pork knuckle), the prices are just Bergkirchweih, like it or not. I found the offensive demand for a tip for every pint of beer really bad and the man with the long hair wasn't happy with anything less than €2 and waited a while until he gave me the right amount back in his opinion (!). Tipping is right and important and absolutely deserved at work. Determining your own tip - 1.80 for a price of €13.20 is of course too little - is absolutely not possible

The music, the atmosphere, the food, the beer, the waiters, everything you can name was perfect. We went there in a big group and enjoyed every second

In my opinion the best cellar in Erlangen. Great area and great mountain flair. Unfortunately the portions are quite small for the price, otherwise perfect. Also good selection between meat and vegetarian, there is something for everyone. The home-brewed beer is great.

Really good food. Menus are not always available. I have posted the current menu for 2024 for your convenience. Would highly recommend ordering drinks and food at one time due to busy staff. You must return your empty krugs to the left of the drink service area to obtain your deposit. Highly recommend visiting.

After the waiter Pascal threw over my drink and said he would bring me a new one, but then changed his mind and told me that €1 would be deducted from my next drink, I unfortunately cannot give a good rating. My drink was almost full and I think deducting €1 is very bold. The competence of the waiters was also commendable.

At 10:24 a.m. the white sausages are out… …Kellerplatte for €18.20 comes with one slice of bread instead of 3 slices as the service says. When asked, there is only 1 more slice?!

So the snack board that you get when you make a reservation (table for 10 people) MUST buy for 93 euros is a joke.

Cozy, rustic and solid Franconian dishes! Great rejuvenation treatment by the next generation of hosts, with children's play area, women's and men's regular tables!

Personally, I find food very expensive

Beer good, atmosphere good, beer garden very nice, live music good, half Giggerla good, staff friendly, Grupfter (little and a bit bland) with too many very hot onions. There is only Schäuferla, no Schäufele. Nota bene. Obachd!

We have eaten here several times, outside of the mountain season. Each time it wasn't a hit and because of the last, expensive experience, I'm now writing this review. But first the positive: - nice, cozy atmosphere with lots of shade - There is little to no parking, but you can park your bike easily - clean toilets - there are even a few children's toys, coloring blocks, card games, etc - Payment by card is possible - the beer is delicious. Now for the negative: - Very long queues for food and drinks at peak times - very high prices (measure €8.80, duck €15) - Unfortunately the food wasn't tasty. I ordered ¼ duck with red cabbage and dumplings. Visually the whole thing looked very good and appealing. I had high expectations, also due to the high price of just under €15. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The duck skin was limp and not crispy, the meat was dry and lukewarm to cold, and the dumpling was overcooked. My husband had the ½ chicken - it was hot, but somehow not really cooked through, still a bit glassy. The potato salad was at least quite good. I think the chicken cost around €13, I didn't notice. We had the above-mentioned dishes + extra fries and paid around €30 - for that I expect good food and no disappointment. A real shame. Last year the food wasn't good for us either, so we thought we'd try it again...next time I'll spend the money elsewhere or we'll bring a snack ourselves.

Spacious beer garden area with huge space. Here everyone will find the place of their choice. Traditional self-service with no significant waiting times, at least on my last visit during the week. Wide range of Franconian dishes. The large selection of hot dishes is very commendable. I had the bratwurst with cabbage. Terrific! Various beers, including home-brewed ones. The beautiful stone jugs are not commonplace! Friendly staff. You'll be happy to come back!

Cozy beer garden, busy on Sundays and public holidays when the weather is nice, you can always get a seat

Cozy, tasty and lots of space. We like to go to this basement outside of mountain time. The food is always delicious, there are excellent knuckles, Schäufele, half chicken, duck and bratwurst. It is self-service for both beer and food. You can also bring your own food. The beer there is also very good. There are waiters at Bergzeit.

If it's not a church festival season, I like to go there. It's not overloaded and I was able to enjoy my shandy. With lots of space. We got the drink ourselves from the bar.

Delicious beer and decent food. Unfortunately, prices are also high outside of the Bergkirchweih. €12.50 for a pretzel with 150 grams of cheese is quite steep. Four stars for the Germany Lampignon.

Great beer garden with fantastic beer from beautiful mugs. The only thing that can improve this Erlanger oasis: selection of vegan dishes. Unfortunately there are hardly any options here. In a city with a lot of young students, vegan food is definitely a hit! So dear Entlas team, offer more here and win even more hearts!

So good. Can't even begin to describe. Great service, great food, if you're around definitely worth a trip.

We, as regular guests, will probably no longer be seen there, both during the cellar season and during the mountain season. Apart from the poorly, rather cheekily poured measure, you probably want to take every euro out of your guests' pockets. Last year's stamps were no longer accepted because the waitresses didn't know what the prices were last year (even though all the stamps in A4 size with prices were posted at the office 😂). However, you can redeem the tokens during the cellar season. Where the measure costs €8.50 but you paid €12.30 for the stamp. At Bergzeit everyone, but every cellar accepted the stamps from the previous year with an additional charge of €0.50. The Erichkeller even WITHOUT surcharge. If you don't get your fill enough, you'll lose one or two guests.

Definitely Erlangen’s most beautiful beer garden. Open from April to September. Wonderful ambience in the middle of the city on the castle hill under shady old trees. Since 2022 we have also had our own brewery with various delicious types of beer. So far so good. But there are also problems. The food in particular, e.g. the flagship duck, is very expensive. And that with self-collection. The range has also changed: Asian veggie noodles instead of chicken or chili sine carne as before. A new target group is clearly being targeted here. The cellar is best visited in the afternoon or very early evening. After 6 p.m., increasing reservations, including from the local global company, and massive overcrowding, including in the parking lot. In contrast to his father, the junior boss obviously relies less on tradition and more on zeitgeist and mass. The result is long queues at the bar and especially when eating. Certainly good for business. But there is a change in clientele here. Old regular customers sometimes stay away. A pity.

Entlas Keller is an institution in Erlangen. Great beer from our own brewery, delicious, diverse Franconian cuisine. Sometimes longer queues at the issues. All in all very well organized. If you come to Erlangen in the summer months, you have to go there, drink a beer and eat an Entla.
