Biergarten Dornröschen in Hannover

I've already eaten around 50 tarte flambées in total and they were always warm and delicious and today I had the first tarte flambée, the 2kg of pizza cheese broke every purity law. And the tarte flambée no longer had anything to do with a tarte flambée. Not even the looks. ps. Cappuccino was nothing either

We've passed it so many times and stopped today. It was worth it. There was a lot going on and yet no one noticed the stress. Nice and idyllic place to linger

Delicious, sophisticated selection of food and drinks, super friendly and helpful service in a wonderful ambience under old trees with a view of the river. Very child friendly. Best reached by bike, but also by car. Highly recommended!

Good selection of drinks and food. The atmosphere is quite good here and you can always find a free spot. Unfortunately today we had to wait 45 minutes for two fries and a bratwurst. I hope that was an exception and doesn't always happen.

It's a shame how that turned out. The service in the first house was super nice, we placed our orders, took our drinks with us and looked for a nice place. Each dish was prepared individually in the grill container. In addition to the fact that orders that had been placed after us were given out before us, the first person got their food, 15 minutes later the second person got his and mine didn't come at all. When asked, they half-apologized and started rummaging through the stack of receipts. When I asked how long it would take now, I got the answer right away. But before my meal started, the two of them made 3 other dishes. When I asked again and was displeased, one of the two said it wouldn't be quicker because they prepare everything fresh. Besides us, other guests also complained that they were waiting for their salad or other dishes. One of them then reported my “case” to his superior. Just by the way, we sat 3m away and heard every word! Next time just stick to the truth! For the meal itself...a currywurst with fries in letsch lump sauce. Very tasty - depending on how you imagine a currywurst...

Lots of memories of this place.....the fruit wine was legendary back then....:=)) Today: delicious olives, hummus and bread...homemade, or bratwurst, fries are always possible... and 1 liter of water for €5.50 is mega. Beer 0.5 at €3.90 is still possible. But the view, the atmosphere, everyone relaxed, lots of flair... A piece of my wild earlier years. Really nice!

Actually a beautifully located beer garden. Located right on the water and easy to reach by bike. A little paint and glaze for the woodwork would be necessary. Above all, the extreme weeds make this beer garden a completely unkempt beer garden. The prices of the food are completely exorbitant (fries, bratwurst 4.20 euros each). The quality was not good at all. Fries were fried several times and the bratwurst was cold. Drink prices are pretty sporty. Maybe train the staff.

The "Sleeping Beauty" is not only Hanover's oldest, but in my opinion also its most beautiful beer garden: Sitting under old tall trees with a cool wheat beer and looking at the line... nothing more is possible! Update: After a long time, I was there again yesterday (August 2nd, 2024). The location is still "fantastic", but the services offered (food, drinks) no longer stand up to the (very) high price: The draft “Jever” at €4.60 is okay in terms of price, but the beer contains almost no carbon dioxide and it works differently when chilled. The complete failure, however, is the grill container. The hardware is great, but the actual purpose is a flop! Bratwursts (fried curry sausages), Krakauer and fries are prepared there. The food is overpriced for a beer garden so far outside the city center (€4.20 for the bratwurst, €4.20 for the fries). The selection is very manageable so that you don't even have to judge a grill as "modest". The fries are clearly prepared, the bratwurst is well done, but "wobbly", i.e. not crispy and firm, as you know from grilling at home - when eaten as currywurst, you ask yourself what kind of sauce is that ? Hence (unfortunately) my current advice: If beer, then only from the bottle, because you can't go wrong with that... and just leave the grill container out if you value taste and your money! You could do so much with this beer garden, but unfortunately it's lacking... the desire, the skills, the (professional) staff,...?

Very nicely located beer garden right on the Leine. Small but nice. Delicious beer on tap, especially the “Nordstadtbraut” is a dream! The food is always good too. The service at the counter is always quick and friendly. We are always happy to visit you.

Been here for the geocaching event. Everything a beer garden needs is there.

A nice place right on the leash and there is also a small jetty if you are traveling with a dinghy.

It's nice that this pretty beer garden is operating again. Relaxed enjoyment by the river in the middle of nature. One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Hanover with delicious cuisine. Always worth a visit.

We were there yesterday, we've been there often. Only yesterday we ate the Bratcuryywurst with fries for the first time. The fries were totally over salted and the Bratcuryywurst wasn't a Bratcuryywurst as we know it. No curry powder and the taste of the sauce was so-so . I don't think I would eat there anymore, I'm totally disappointed because every snack is better!!!!!!

Very nicely located, friendly service, dishes are not limited to the usual bratwurst or currywurst, there are also offers for vegetarians/vegans and cakes. Prices are perfectly fine.

A wonderful beer garden located directly on the Leine with lots of idyllic places, delicious little things to eat and a good selection of high-quality drinks.

Ambiance, seating and drinks are great. Unfortunately, currywurst was an absolute disgrace - sausage tasted like it had been microwaved and defrosted from the day before, "curry sauce" was simply watery tomato sauce with a lot of soaked curry powder. Fries so-so to ok.

This beer garden is located on the River Ihme. Together with the beer garden on Lindener Berg, it is my favorite beer garden. You can eat and drink delicious food here, let time pass and let the atmosphere embrace you. The view is very beautiful and the atmosphere is something special. Especially in summer, you meet a lot of people here who have a smile on their face and radiate it. With this beer garden, the route to this review also counts. Because you can take a leisurely walk or ride your bike there. Therefore, you arrive with the right basic mood and this gives you, as well as all other visitors, this special feeling of satisfaction. My conclusion: In a group or as a couple, a visit to this beer garden is a little break from the world and a vacation for body and mind. Information about my recessions. All the information I write down here is a snapshot and completely subjective. When I visit a place a second time, my assessment may be completely different. Das Spaten-Quartett urteilt: Naturoase direkt an der Leine, lockeres Ambiente, unerwartet abwechslungsreiches Essen, humorvolle Bedienung.

Nettes Ambiente mit teurem Imbiss. Bratwürste und Pommes kommen trocken und verschrumpelt daher, als hätte man sie x-mal erhitzt. Einzig der Ketchup ist lecker. Wusste gar nicht, das man so einfache Speisen auch noch vergeigen kann.

Nackensteak war kein Nackensteak, winzig und dafür zu teuer. Pommes extrem hart.:-(

Biergarten direkt an der Ihme. Wer möchte kann sich direkt am Rand hinsetzen und hat einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Fluss. Essen war auch sehr gut.

Tolle Lage an der Leine! Gut zur Entspannung nach Spaziergang oder Radtour.

Location ist nett. Gut gelegen, netter Service, an den Getränken gibt es auch nichts zu mäkeln. Deshalb gibt es drei Sterne Allerdings scheint das Essen nicht zur Kernkompetenz zu gehören. Bratcurrywurst mit Pommes.😱 Der urdeutsche Imbissklassiker. Da kann man nicht viel falsch machen, dachte ich bisher. Die Wurst war fade, die Sauce nur tomatig, aber gewürzbefreit. Dafür waren die Pommes garantiert keimfrei, da mehrfach frittiert. Endlich mal wieder den Acrylamidspiegel aufs nächste Level gebracht. 🤪 Wir waren früher häufig hier und waren 😞. Muss ich nicht wieder haben. 👎

Ich mochte diesen Biergarten früher schon und er hat auch nach ca. 35 Jahren nichts von seinem Charme verloren. Gerade bei höheren Temperaturen lässt es sich bei einem alkoholfreien Hefeweizen gut am Wasser aushalten. Essen kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Schön gelegener Biergsrten im Grünen und am Wasser. Selbstbedienung es gibt Kaffee,Kuchen und kleine,warme Gerichte (Pommes, Bratwurst, etc). Umgebung ist wunderschön, mit Auto, fahrrad und zu Fuss zu erreichen.

Heute zufällig entdeckt beim Spaziergang. So ein toller, gemütlicher Biergarten. Personal super drauf, tolle Getränkesuswahl und Kleinigkeiten zum Essen, Kartenzahlung möglich. Wunderschönes Plätzchen zum verweilen an der Leine. Einfach toll!😍

Wir haben einen Umsatz von ca. 300 Euro gemacht und wurden des Platzes verwiesen weil einer der Gruppe an seinem mitgebracht Wasser genippt hat. Unfassbar schlechte Kommunikation der Betreiber

Really nice beer garden with larger and smaller tables. So also good for larger groups. They have some small dishes such as flammkuchen and pretzels but also cake and drinks. The prices are ok and you can pay by card.
