Kaiserschänke Biergarten am Sportpark in Hannover

I don't know how many more reviews I have to give, but for me, it's the best beer garden in Hanover. Try the ribs or the burgers. Especially the bratwurst. Original Thuringian sausages from Eisenach, brought by the owner himself.

Very spacious. The service was very friendly and helpful. The beer selection was good. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as well received. They could have been a bit more bold with the frying and seasoning.

The spare ribs were great and the portions were large. There were plenty of free parking spaces on Sundays.

We were there with a large group to end the day. Seating was available in advance and was also covered, which luckily wasn't necessary. You had to order and pick up food and drinks yourself at the counter. There were pagers for the food, which is useful for the service team but annoying for the customers. I found it annoying that they were constantly beeping. Unfortunately, there was only a small selection of dishes; a friend wanted the vegan burger and walked away empty-handed. I had the giant currywurst with fries, and I had to pay an extra €0.50 for the mayo; I found it too dry. I personally can't recommend it. Dessert, on the other hand, was great: an orange ice cream. At €3.50, it's perhaps more expensive, but it's worth the money. It was okay here, but I don't necessarily have to go again.

The currywurst is good. The fries are pretty thin, but good, too. 50 cents for a bag of mayo without a bottom. A colleague says the spare ribs are way too dry.

The beer garden was very busy due to a concert at the arena. The wait was still acceptable; after ordering, we waited about 20 minutes for our food. Thanks to the gazebos, we were able to sit comfortably in the shade. The food was delicious, and the portions were absolutely generous. The staff were friendly. A great place to grab a bite to eat before an event at the arena, etc.

Unfortunately, there are no reliable opening hours! According to the information at the entrance, the kitchen is open until 8:30 p.m. on Sundays. When we arrived, it was already closed at 7:45 p.m. (and not just for five minutes). That's understandable in bad weather, but with 30 degrees Celsius and sunshine...?! I don't need to have it again...

Great place to drink great beer in a green Biergarten. They also have great food. Perfect place to meet friends. It became our favorite, relaxed Biergarten.

The ambiance was great, the staff attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the food was only mediocre, and the drink prices, especially for water and juice, were truly outrageous.

A lovely beer garden with plenty of seating. When it's busy, the lines for draft beer can be quite long. However, the drink selection is excellent. The restrooms are ideal, with chest-high shelves and plenty of urinals. Unfortunately, they're not cannabis-tolerant here, but this is clearly indicated with symbols.

The ribs are good. Seats are dry even in the rain. Unfortunately, it's a 12-minute walk from the train station.

The ribs are unbeatable, and the beer garden is generally a really nice place to sit. If you're lucky enough to catch a great event on the park stage, that's fantastic!

We ordered ribs, according to the menu, €15, then paid €17 at the cashier. No sauce. Aioli with olives. The bread is 3 days old. Completely overwhelmed at events.

Very nice beer garden. Everything well maintained and clean. The selection and prices are absolutely fine. Employees are really great. Very nice, friendly and competent.

I only eat ribs here, they are very good, marinade only if requested, that's what I call a confidence-building measure! I don't rate the service here because you get the things from the counter yourself. But the staff is friendly. The facility is rather small, which I think is quite good, well-kept, clean toilets, everything fits. Regular guest.

Rustic experience in the beer garden with a few drawbacks The beer garden is very rustic and offers space for an estimated 200 to 300 hungry and thirsty guests. Every guest who orders something to eat receives a beeper that signals when the food is ready. You then have to pick it up from the issue yourself. I would consider only being able to pay with cash to be outdated and out of date. The atmosphere could certainly appeal to a Waldschrat or Neanderthal. I decided to eat a kilo of ribs, which in hindsight wasn't the best choice. The ribs had a lot of bones and little meat, which made eating them quite laborious in the long run. You would probably have been better served with the 230 g neck steaks with fries, which is also €2 cheaper. Overall, the prices can be described as average. The site itself is a long, slender tube, meaning diners sitting further away have a long way to go to collect their food. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. The staff wasn't particularly friendly or helpful, but that didn't spoil the overall experience. Given the right opportunity, I would definitely visit the beer garden again with a larger group.

Self-service with Bavarian specialties, prices ok. The naturally cloudy Gilde-Radler is delicious, as are the ribs. The proximity to the Gilde stage has the advantage of a free concert if you like the group (so find out beforehand whether and what is going on next door...).

The beer garden was filled with German hits. Then there are ribs with some coleslaw. The portion is a bit much for one person. Better to eat with two people.

When it rains, it's nice to sit under the large umbrellas. But we like other beer gardens in the area better. The ribs were ok but unfortunately they were too firm and lacked seasoning. The fries were thin and salty. I liked them that way, my group didn't like them that much, they were too similar to those from a fast food chain.

Why don't you manage to publish your "closed companies" (e.g. TODAY!!) on your website - they probably weren't just planned today... Would have saved me a long journey to the popular Thursday rib day today...

Solid beer garden at reasonable prices. There are special offers that change daily. The location is idyllic and quiet. When concerts take place in the neighboring Gilde Parkbühne or in the stadium, the beer garden is a good place to listen from outside. The service is sometimes a bit slow. Due to a misunderstanding that arose among the employees, I was attacked by them. Snotty!! When it was cleared up, they didn't even apologize to me. Who do they actually think they are? If I hadn't been accompanied by women, there would have been a bang! Furthermore, they were completely overwhelmed by the catering. There was a constant, bustling mess with no visibility.

Actually Tollet beer garden but unfortunately only self-service. You have to queue every time to get something to drink, for example. No service on site, a shame! The food was tasty and the beer column was of course super cool ;-)

Fries, hard as a board and a small amount for the price. Currywurst had no taste at all and it was strangely watery, constantly having this “water taste”, so you can close it soon. And the playground you built doesn't work at all. Tripping hazards here and there, my kids weren't happy at all, so on the subject of Kaiserschänke - a taboo place!

We have been here several times. So far my favorite beer garden in Hanover. Today, however, things are different. The beer garden is well filled for a holiday. Unfortunately I can't get anything to eat here. It was said that due to demand for food the kitchen would be closed for half an hour. I found it strange when the kitchen couldn't keep up and simply stopped taking orders. So what, after half an hour I got the same information. I have no idea whether it will be possible to order food again at some point. Anyway, I'm out. There are other locations too. That doesn't work at all.

Delicious food but nuggets are a joke in size, but in good weather you wait a long time. It would be better if you could order from two (i.e. two queues or one for food, one for drinks).

We feel very comfortable in the beer garden! The ribs are super tasty and so is the Altbierbowle with delicious fruit! We always like to come back!!!

As always, great.... Update: unfortunately things have gone bad. The ribs have gone completely bad, the meat is stringy and disgusting. .. The staff is friendly but they don't seem as cheerful as they used to. Overall, unfortunately, things have gotten really bad.

Nice beer garden with lots of shade, sandpit and toys for children. In addition to normal seating with dining tables and chairs, there is also a beach area with sand and beach chairs.

Nice beer garden. Food is above average for Hanover beer gardens. Another good solution is to use pagers to inform you when the food you ordered is ready for collection. This makes staying in the Kaiserschänke much more pleasant than in many other beer gardens, where you spend a large part of your stay queuing for food or drinks.

.... sehr schöner vielfältiger Biergarten. Super mit dem Rad /Auto zu erreichen. Schöne Sitzecken. Auch mit einem kleinen Strandflair. Speisekarte gut bestückt, für jeden was dabei. Die Altbierbowle ist endlich mal ohne Saft...! Sehr geflegt Anlage. WCs voll okay.

Gepflegter Biergarten, Preise sind standard. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist durchwachsen und tagesabhängig. Jedoch ist die Qualität der Speisen und Getränke gut und man findet immer einen Platz.

Toller Ort zum draußen sitzen.Nette Menschen ,gutes Essen und zivile Preise

Wir haben mit 9 Personen am Maschseefestwochenende dort ein Ferkel, Rippchen, Krautsalat, Pommes mit 3x 3 ltr. Bier zum Zapfen am Tisch bestellt. Alles war perfekt vorbereitet, als wir kamen. Die Preise sind angemessen, das Essen hervorragend. Vegetarier darf man allerdings nicht sein. Einen wunderschönen Abend verbracht. Trotz richtig starkem Regen wurden wir in unserem Zelt nicht nass. Rundum gelungen (wie beim letzten Mal). Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Leute echt jetzt? Tischreservierungen im Biergarten? Wir sind doch nicht in München. Schade, schade. Ihr bekommt natürlich trotzdem 5 Sterne weil wir gerne zu euch kommen. Aber der große Reiz war immer, spontan bei Euch einzukehren. Leider verpufft 🤷🏼‍♀️

Netter Biergarten in ruhiger Lage mit schönen und vielen schattigen Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Bier schmeckt! ;-) Die Rippchen, die jedoch auch irgendwie "Aushängeschild" des Biergarten sind, waren allerdings ziemlich zäh und kaum vom Knochen zu bekommen. Dafür allerdings geil gewürzt. Gut ist auch die Sandkiste zum Spielen für Kids, in der man einiges an Spielsachen findet..

Super leckere rippchen flammkuchen und pommes Die mitarbeiter sehr freundlich hier ist trinkgeld gut angebracht denn auch das bierchen wird hervorragend gezapft...der abend war sehr schön lieben dank wir kommen wieder.
