Cool location, but not suitable for a quiet meal as it was packed and very loud... for me, it's more of a modern pub with food on offer than a restaurant. The server on Friday evening was a super friendly girl, and the food we ordered was really delicious! Unfortunately, the appetizers and main courses were served together, which doesn't make any sense to me... you're basically "shown off," which in our case was quite literal. No one asked if we wanted more drinks, and the empty dishes weren't cleared until we paid. It's a real shame because we had expected more from this cool location. 🤷🏼‍♀️ However, the location right next to the stadium made my black and yellow heart beat faster. 🖤💛

We were there two days in a row; the atmosphere was lovely, right between Rote Erde and Signal Iduna Park. Reservations are recommended, as it's always very busy. The service was friendly and attentive.

The security feels super important and awesome 😅 I was standing at the bar and supposedly in the way with a colleague, even though other people were standing right next to me and were also "in the way" - it was just full... and the security guy then said that he had already warned me not to stand in the way. I then pointed out to him that other people were standing right next to me and asked if he didn't notice. Then he kicked me out - he probably doesn't like it when people question his nonexistent logic. A good bar in itself with good music, but this was completely unnecessary and didn't fit the atmosphere or situation at all.

The atmosphere is great, but unfortunately it's overcrowded after Borussia Dortmund games, and the poor waiters can't even work properly because of the crowds. It's a shame, but everything seems totally uncoordinated...

A fan meeting place for fans to prepare for and follow up on the home game. Located right next to the North Entrance. A relaxed atmosphere, several drink stands, and food at a fair price, which also tastes delicious (we had the soccer burger and fries with BBQ pulled chicken). But you also have to like people. It was, of course, packed for the home game (BVB vs. RB Leipzig).

We got a table without a reservation. We didn't receive a menu and had to scan a QR code. The server waited until the drink selection was finalized. The Spezi tasted stale. The previous server didn't come back. Another server brought guests behind us to the table. No one came voluntarily to take a food order. This required initiative. I found the food delicious.

Looking forward to a delicious meal 😋 Arrived at 5:20 PM... we were assigned an outside table 👍... 5:30 PM drinks ordered 👍... 5:45 PM the waitress came and reported a "recording stoppage" in the kitchen 😳 "The kitchen is overloaded and our food won't be ready in time for the concert 😳 Question: Why are they letting guests in without reservations all the time??? I've never experienced anything so unprofessional... Strobels?... never again 👎👎👎

Before home games, we often go to Strobels – great location right next to the stadium, great atmosphere.

Hi, a table for two was reserved, and we arrived on time. The place was about half full, and relaxed. Drinks and food were served by the friendly waiter. So far, it was fine. After a few minutes, the drinks arrived, which was good. My glass was empty after 15 minutes, and a nice lady took it away with a smile. Okay, that's fine. The friendly waiter was called and brought a second one – no food after 25 minutes. After 35 minutes, we were informed by the friendly waiter that he didn't see our food on the display yet – he would keep us updated… After almost 50 minutes, the following was served: Quote: Thank you for your understanding – a burger, fries, and some falafel with salad. Apart from the fact that the two burger patties were fried to perfection, I couldn't believe the wait for this meal. I have no idea what happens in this place when it's full… oh well, we had to go to the concert – we were charged €54 – the friendly waiter couldn't help it! If you serve us well, you can really sell us something, because we love life, enjoyment, and fun. It was difficult at Strobel's that evening. Good luck!

I actually like being here and haven't had any bad experiences, but at the last home game, I was proven wrong. I was kicked out by the door staff for a reason that wasn't clear to me. It's fundamentally a club's right to exercise its house rules—I'm not saying anything against that. However, I found the way I was treated problematic: The bouncers were extremely unfriendly, with no trace of respect. In my opinion, this was an exercise of power. I had a drink cup with a €2 deposit, but I was completely refused a return. Legally speaking, this is untenable: The deposit agreement remains in effect, and according to Section 242 of the German Civil Code (BGB), I cannot be prevented from returning it. Keeping the deposit without the possibility of return even constitutes unjust enrichment (Section 812 BGB). It's not about the €2. It's about the principle. Anyone who collects a deposit must also offer a fair opportunity for return. But then you're kicked out, with no chance of a refund. Furthermore, you're insulted by the doormen. Unfortunately, their unfriendly behavior leaves a very negative impression.

We wanted to fortify ourselves before the Zarella show. When ordering, we were informed that there was no guarantee that we would receive our food on time. There was about 80 minutes available. It was really busy, but sorry, I'm fresh from Bavaria... you can see the employees serving friendly and bringing out dozens of dishes at once. Unfortunately, there were already delays and long waits when ordering. After 45 minutes, we asked for information about when our food would arrive. After 60 minutes, upon repeated request, the server rudely threatened me that she would throw me out if I were so unfriendly. However, the request and the inquiry were extremely friendly, only with concern that we would have to leave if it got much later. After describing the incident with the server, the extremely friendly manager apologized to us. He was visibly surprised by his server. She was clearly casually talking to another server about our table. Unfortunately, she was unable to address the problem objectively and refused to reconsider her perception. When a server is so self-confident, visibly winning employees over, this behavior doesn't seem to be beneficial to the business; in fact, it's damaging. Appealing to guests doesn't seem to be a given, unfortunately. Strobels is a truly great location, with a very friendly manager who unfortunately doesn't notice how far employees exceed their authority. Tip: Please don't make Thai curry soup if expectations can't be met. The soup was very rich, high in fat, probably even hollandaise sauce. Sorry, but please add coconut milk, Thai curry paste, Thai basil, or kaffir lime leaves. Thai cuisine is light...and not heavy on the stomach. Please cook what suits the location and what the chef knows about. Currywurst and fries, for example...

We were at the 39 Grad party today. The DJ was a complete disaster. He only played old garbage. I'm really pissed off.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good meal. You can't really go wrong with falafel salad, but I've never had such a bad salad. The menu said it was extensive, and for an outrageous €16.90, it was so small that I expected more. The service was friendly and apologized for the poor food. They even offered something sweet, but I still wouldn't order salad there again. They also strongly advise against Coke Zero; it's such a concentrated mixture. Very disappointing; everything used to be great.

Great atmosphere, a good concept to have party music after a BVB game – but there's one big BUT: What kind of TVs do you have?! Tiny and sometimes way too dim. This is absolutely unacceptable. Get three 115" MiniLED TVs for the outdoor area! It's supposed to be there... no one wants to have to search for the ball or the players, and I didn't have binoculars with me either.

We were there today after a boat trip. The waiters were all in a bad mood and not particularly friendly. They also had trouble understanding us properly because they didn't speak German well enough. The drinks came quickly, but they forgot a dish during the meal. Despite two reminders, the person in question had to wait over half an hour for their food. Everyone else had long since finished eating. The taste was okay, but the fried potatoes were almost cold. We've had much better food and, above all, better service. We don't need to go there again.

I really like Strobels. Great location. Good food. Good drinks... But the opening hours need to be adjusted. Sometimes at 8 or 9 p.m., the doors are closed, even though it says 11 p.m. Kind of silly as a long-term mechanic. But when it's open, it's great.

It's quite strange. Strobels says on its homepage: "If "DIE MANNSCHAFT" plays in the European Championship or World Cup, we're there!" Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to the women's national soccer team. We would have loved to see the women's quarterfinal match on July 19. Unfortunately, even after repeated inquiries, Strobels couldn't be persuaded to change the channel. Well, at least there was a golf tournament on Sky. Of course, that takes priority. ;-)

Everything's been great so far. When it's a bit crowded, you have to wait too long for drinks. Friendly staff, and the food is good.

I went to the 39 Grad party for the first time. I thought the location was beautiful. The people were great. The dance floor and effects were amazing. I will definitely go there regularly to dance. I'm thrilled.

We had a select meal with party music at our company summer party

I came to an almost empty pub with a friend at 8:45 PM and was looking forward to the food. The lady came to serve us at 9:02 PM, saying that the kitchen closed at 9:00 PM and we were out of luck... Unfortunately, she couldn't be persuaded... Very sad!!!

June 22, 2025 - Business lunch, 35 people at the grill table. Sirloin of beef (80g), portion of chicken breast (80g), portion of lamb rump (80g), portion of pork fillet (80g), jacket potatoes / green asparagus / blanched carrots / king oyster mushrooms / stuffed mushrooms / mixed salad / homemade dips for €39.90 per person - more than fair, as were the prices for drinks. The food was super delicious, beer was freshly tapped, but unfortunately, grappa ran out at some point. The service was super friendly, very attentive, and we worked as a team. There was a small weakness at the beginning: potatoes, bread, and salad were missing – but they were quickly replaced after being informed. Personally, I also felt the background music was a bit lacking... they could have done a bit more with that to create a more atmospheric atmosphere... but not really a disadvantage. I'd like to commend Stefanie Bäse again for scheduling the appointment. We were a rather "difficult" customer when it came to scheduling an appointment, and I'd like to thank her again for her patience and understanding. Conclusion: We'll definitely be back soon ;-) I personally really liked the place, and we'll definitely come by for a private appointment sometime. Thank you very much!

We went to the 39 degree party yesterday and were very disappointed - no fire, no live trumpeters, no soap bubbles and the music wasn't as good as usual at the 39 degree party. It's a shame, especially since the entrance fee has been increased; you'd expect at least the same level of service for €17 at the box office!

Today, it's 39 degrees Celsius. The box office is faster than pre-ordering online. Nope, Strobel's era is over.

We were there for an over-30s after-work party. The drinks were delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was great, although for an over-30s after-work party, the average age seemed to be (and not only) retirement. Otherwise, a great place.

Very good currywurst, often there before BVB games. However, it's very crowded and there are long waits, so you have to plan for that.

Whenever we're in Dortmund, we always go to Strobels. Friendly service, always delicious food. Keep up the good work.

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, I drove almost 400 km to Dortmund, full of anticipation for the game and the day at Strobels. Unfortunately, the day was completely ruined by an absolutely questionable incident. We were aggressively harassed by the obviously heavily intoxicated manager of the club. Instead of resolving the situation, he personally ordered the bouncers to throw us out – and of course, they had to do it, no matter how unfair the whole thing was. It's truly disappointing when the manager himself completely loses control and has customers thrown out just because he's in a bad mood. The fact that someone like that is even in charge speaks volumes, unfortunately. A club where the manager harasses customers while drunk is dead for me. Never again Strobels.

I was there for the first and last time in May. Firstly: what justifies a price increase of €3.30 if there are 2 ice cubes in the drink? €4.20 for a sparkling wine without ice, €7.50 with ice... hey, were they flown in from overseas or what?! Furthermore, I and an acquaintance were charged too much money. Over 10 euros each. Unfortunately, we didn't really notice until the next day, among other things after we had made adjustments, because you don't get a receipt! You can no longer understand it directly on site because there are only these plastic cards to order drinks. You have no control over what the service staff types. So for me it was the first AND last time I was in the store. Such impudence

Seem to be overwhelmed at BVB games. Unfortunately very inexperienced staff and the waiting times for food are simply too long for a 90 minute game.

Despite the waiting time and the crowded area, a nice experience in an airy atmosphere.

We were in Dortmund for 4 days and just wanted to have something to eat as it was close to our hotel. We were so excited that it became our regular restaurant for the next few days. Food perfect, ambience great, staff friendly, quick and uncomplicated. And then the beer 😄. Even though we are Bavaria and watched the Dortmund game there, it was really an experience. I visited Strobels on Sunday April 20th and wanted to eat a currywurst and drink one or two beers. My friends were already at Strobels and so I had to go to Strobels. I have a small chest pouch and in it was a Twix (candy bar). The security didn't want to let me in with my bar, with the argument that we sell that here too🤦🏻‍♂️My God, how bad is it that here in the Ruhr area you can't get into Strobels with a Twix. I hope Strobels rethinks its admission policy and ensures that such nonsensical rules are revised in the future. It would be nice if customer satisfaction and common sense were more important than the selling point of a candy bar. After all, it is the guests who make a place special and breathe life into it. Maybe in the future there will be a way to avoid such misunderstandings and inconveniences so that a visit to Strobels will be a pleasant experience again. I won't visit you anymore. We didn't eat anything that day. Thanks for this bad experience and greetings to the bouncers at Strobels.

Food poisoning after eating in several of our group. The waitress was super nice and polite. The bouncers are very aggressive and should be replaced urgently. The security service employees became violent towards guests on several occasions.

I can highly recommend the grill table; it has a great selection, everything is super fresh and of very good quality.

A great location that I like to visit with friends on BVB match days. Great atmosphere, delicious beer and small dishes that all taste really delicious! What more could you want?

I always go to the NuClub Party💃🏻 at Strobels every Wednesday. It's just great to celebrate the "Mountain Festival" there. Nice audience, great service and varied music. Highly recommended👍🏻

We went in on a match day and were served really quickly by a friendly barmaid, decent peice and beer. Paid on card and found a seat. Returned to the bar to be told, quite rudely by another server that they don't take cards so had to schlep about half a mile to find an ATM 🤷

The Strobels can also make currywurst without meat. Without missing anything. The service appointment actually works as a team. If a colleague is still learning German, the colleague is there to support him. Exemplary. The location of the restaurant makes every BVB fan's heart beat faster.

So...what can I say? There were two of me in total because we received an invitation. Of course it's a little fuller on the day of the game, but it's great for celebrating a bit. There's music, drinks and food and it's just great to celebrate here before the game. There's not much to say about it either. Just worth a visit 😊

Incredible! Expulsion after a company party. At first everything was great. At 6 p.m. the company party continued as usual with food and drinks. The food was okay, the drinks too. The atmosphere among the celebrating staff was also simply great. At around 11.30 p.m. the celebrating staff wanted to order drinks on their own account. The situation was then escalated by the Strobel's employees! There were even physical attacks on the guests, i.e. us, by the Strobel staff alone. We, the guests, were always friendly and never aggressive. This store doesn't deserve guests. Neither on game day nor otherwise. I'm really curious to see how this store wants to justify this behavior.

Unfortunately, the friendliness of the staff leaves a lot to be desired. Beer twice not filled to the calibration mark. Next time it would be better in front of the stadium.

I have been a guest many times and due to its location I will continue to return there in the future. You can go there, but it's certainly not worth the long journey. Price performance, so-so... There are worse things but it could be a little cheaper if I had my way.

A restaurant/bar/club next to the stadium in Dortmund. Ideal spot to eat something delicious before visiting the Westfalenhalle or trade fair. Everything from salad, schnitzel, burgers and much more.

A great restaurant/pub, even on days when there is no home game, the draft beers are great, the currywurst fries are super tasty, especially the sauce. Here you can sit very comfortably and spend several hours with or without football. Only recommended.

Mind you, there was little going on. Then at 7 p.m. the DJ started blasting the music so that you could hardly have a conversation anymore...
