A super delicious and highly recommended restaurant! The two of us ate at Augustiner Keller. We ordered half a duck and a Wiener Schnitzel. We also had a salad. The food arrived incredibly quickly, was freshly prepared, hot, and absolutely delicious. The portions were perfectly generous. There's absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the food. The service is excellent and incredibly friendly. The ambiance is beautifully decorated, everything is clean, and despite the large dining room, it wasn't too noisy. We'll definitely be back!

The roast pork was really good, but the rest was just so-so. The restaurant lives off its location and its reputation. The food is pricey, as you'd expect from a location.

I don't know if it was racism or just plain rudeness. 1. There was plenty of seating on the first floor, but they told me to go to the second floor. 2. There was plenty of seating on the second floor, but they told me to go to a corner where my head would hit the ceiling if I straightened my back. 3. The server was quick to come and handed me my beer and menu, but they almost always put it down with a bang. 4. I wanted another beer, but they never made eye contact. 5. When I told them I didn't tip, they asked me what country I was from. 6. They didn't accept cards, so when I paid with cash, they didn't give me change (I told them it's customary to keep any leftovers as a tip). They then kept talking to the person next to me and took out their wallet to give me change. I'm glad I didn't get ripped off like other reviews say, but it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Dear Augustiner Keller Team, I am very disappointed by the recent changes to your beer garden. When I saw the sign prohibiting the consumption of marijuana and other drugs, I was truly shocked. I always enjoyed drinking my delicious beer here and having a cigarette after my meal. But now that's apparently forbidden too. I don't understand your decision. Politics is becoming more liberal, and yet you're shooting yourselves in the foot. The beer garden is becoming a garden... the playground on the premises wasn't worth it to me. I'm very frustrated that I now have to look for a new beer garden where I can feel comfortable. I'm sorry, but I can no longer go to a place that has such restrictions. If I'm not allowed to consume anything because of a children's playground in the beer garden, then perhaps the beer garden isn't the right place to have a playground. We celebrated our Christmas party with my team. We really enjoyed the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive. I'd also like to highlight that this restaurant offers curling – we were absolutely thrilled!

A typical Bavarian beer hall. The main room is very nice and the food is delicious, especially the soups and creams, and of course the sausages. The waitress was a bit indifferent.

Cool venue but was disappointed with the food and beer. We reserved a table for two for lunch. The booking process was very smooth and it was easy to get a table. The venue is bustling and has a massive seating capacity. It was completely packed with tourists when we visited. We ordered the Keller cheese, Augustiner Schmankerlplatte and a cordon bleu schnitzel. For the Schmankerlplatte - the roast duck and roast pork were great but the meatball and sausage were a bit dry. The cordon bleu schnitzel was also dry. The cheese had a great flavour but didn't have enough bread to complement it. The wheat beer tasted flat and was not as good as other beers we tried in Munich during our visit.

Great food, great beer, no need to say anything. You can tell that is a good place to go when you see all the local people filling in the room. The waiters were really friendly. They were willing to help. They spoke perfect English and they were kind and nice to talk with. The atmosphere was great and made me feel German. You might be allocated to a place deep underground, where there is no signal and the Wi-Fi was not really good, but the quality of the food will make you forget all of that.

We were there with the company for the Christmas party. We were asked beforehand if we wanted meat, vegetarian, or vegan options. The vegan menu consisted of an extremely boring broth, while the others had cold cuts and cheese platters. The meat main course was duck, and for vegans, it was a roulade, which was quite good. Dessert was simply omitted for vegans. I feel discriminated against. Thanks, conservative chef. So, a Christmas party just like always 😆 P.S.: The beer was, of course, amazing.

By any chance... does this restaurant not have a culture of apologies? The employee spilled food on my pants and sneakers, and I didn't even get a single apology. They later offered me a free dish, but we didn't need the food; we needed an apology. Overall, the atmosphere of our trip to Germany was pleasant, but this place is a very bad memory. Our table server was very friendly, though. I had high expectations because it was a major brewery, but (though it may depend on the staff) I definitely wouldn't recommend it. 🤭 We'll have a drink, and we'll have a drink like this.

The Augustiner Keller is worth a visit just for the beer garden alone! It's soothing for the heart and soul! The food is truly authentic Bavarian!! An evening there is a mini-vacation for stressed minds and empty hearts <3

What a great place! While reservations are highly recommended, we got right in (Monday evening). Had the pork schnitzel, it was outstanding. My dinner mates were equally pleased with the roast port and the kasespetzle. Highly recommended.

A traditional Bavarian restaurant, home of my favourite Bier! I simply love it, whether is in the Beer gardens in summer, to the traditional Hall in winter, you cannot go wrong here! Food is really nice, a variety of traditional Bavarian food served in well made presentations, is just marvellous. There is often a line so reservations are recommended. I've been there many time but my most recent was for Brunch. The staff was warm and welcoming, and assisted us in English and German ❤️.

We stopped by the Augustiner Keller for lunch. As always, it was packed and noisy :-) A diverse crowd was there, giving the Augustiner Keller that special flair and atmosphere that makes it so unique. The beer and food arrived in no time, as usual—the waiters are efficient and discreetly friendly 😎. We had goulash soup (unfortunately a bit over-seasoned) and Kaiserschmarren (unfortunately a bit too browned)—but that's sometimes part of the experience here. Whenever I'm in Munich, I always come here at least once. You absolutely must check out the curling rinks during Advent and Christmas, or even book a session. It's so much fun, and when it's cold outside and the fire bowls are lit, it's simply magical. Check it out!

To think we'd end our blissful Munich honeymoon in a place like this... If they're rude, they should at least taste good. It's not even that good... If I had a truly hated enemy, I'd recommend this place. I gave it a 1 because it's the lowest I could give, but I'm dying to give it a minus point. When we were paying, I offered a 7 out of 7, 15, or 20 tip, and the server tilted her head in confusion. I was baffled by the service and food at this place... I ordered several dishes, and they were all disappointing. I had high expectations for the beer, considering it's from a brewery, but other places are much better.

When u talk about Bavarian food you cannot mention Der Augustine bier keller/restaurant in Munich . Its for outsiders standing from the outside and when entering inside , one giant wooden house with everywhere wooden tables and chairs . The menucards on the table have every local Bavarian dish or beer at your service , and tonight was for me no different than my other previous visits . In all : A great food fest combined with the typical German beer mugs known as Mass , as drinks . Augustine Keller : A must to be place when in Munich , Germany .

Fantastic!!! The duck was excellent!!!! However, when I wanted to pay by card, he asked me for a tip. It's my decision how much I want to give. I only saw the waiter once, when he brought my food out. That was it.

On our business trip to Munich Messe in November we had a banquet there. The beer was flowing as a river, the food was great and authentic, the atmosphere was great. Will definitely visit again if will be in München next time. Have no idea about prices, we were invited by the company.

Very disappointing. The food – Wiener Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn – was not tasty, and the portions were very small. The noise level in the upstairs dining room was so high that it was almost impossible to have a conversation.

We went without a reservation. There was a group reservation, but there were no seats. Then they found us a table. We tried the venison and duck. We loved it. The beer was very good. The place was packed. A very good restaurant.

A typical German restaurant and the experience was sensational!! I tried a simply impeccable pork loin, super flavorful and very well prepared. My fiancé ordered the traditional pork knuckle, which was equally incredible, tender inside, crispy outside and extremely tasty. The place is very good, with that authentic and lively atmosphere. The service was quick and efficient, just remember that the tables are shared, something quite common in Germany. Overall, a delicious experience and totally worth the visit! 🍽️🇩🇪

The beef strips were very tasty, but the portion wasn't filling; I would have expected at least more potato and vegetables for the price. The service was very friendly and really fast, very good. Conversation was difficult due to the noise level. I drank the much-praised non-alcoholic Augustiner, which doesn't come close to the original and caused terrible gas. I'd gladly come again.

My family and I traveled from the United States for a 10 day trip through Europe and are first stop was Munich and I always wanted to try more authentic German dish so we decided to try Augustiner Keller . This place was big and busy the staff was on their a game and are waiter Bennie was fabulous, he helped us out picking are entrees and everything he picked was great I would go back in a heart beat

The best brewery to visit in Munich, especially due to their amazing Edelstoff. It also has multiple rooms so it was easier to find space on arrival compared to some other breweries - for bigger groups a reservation is needed. The food was also good, I would recommend to try their pretzels.

We didn't encounter any sullen or rude waiters as mentioned in the comments, the staff who took care of our table was fine, we just went here out of curiosity when there were so many places and we couldn't see any difference between it and the others, and even the prices were higher.

A bar restaurant with a good atmosphere that serves German food. We didn't book a table so they seated us at a large table with other guests we didn't know, which was nice too. A huge place, uniquely decorated and worth a visit.

After a long time, I went back to the Augustiner. I got a reserved table in the cellar, the service was impeccable, but the portions have gotten smaller. The noise level was incredibly high; conversation at the table for six was impossible. It felt like they'd filled every available space with tables to squeeze out every last penny. It used to be nicer and more comfortable.

Horrible, I strongly advise against wasting a meal here. My fiancé and I decided to eat there today, but the food was cold and unappetizing. The waitress was hostile and yelled at us when we declined to tip. Well, sorry, but a tip has to be earned. You have to smile and be friendly to customers, which wasn't the case, and on top of that, the food wasn't good and arrived lukewarm. If you don't like customer service, you should change jobs. Honestly, you need to review your staff.

We went to the Augustiner-Keller before a concert, and it was the perfect start to the evening. The restaurant is beautifully and traditionally decorated, instantly creating an authentic and cozy atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious – it was simply fantastic. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to experience Bavarian hospitality!

We were here for a company party. It started off badly right away when the waiter outside by the curling lanes was extremely unfriendly and reluctant to accept card payments. "Then you'll just have to queue up with 30 people," was his response. When we went inside to eat, we were served the appetizer. It was okay, but nothing special, unfortunately. Again, the waiters were all a bit brusque, but (still) not rude. The main course was an outrage. It was very obviously convenience/frozen. My salmon (if you could even call it that) was tough and truly inedible. It came with a halved, overcooked potato and frozen vegetables. Overall, a 0/10. The dessert (Kaiserschmarrn) was okay, but you can definitely expect better from other restaurants. At some point, the waiters became unbearable; they clearly had no desire to serve us anymore. When I asked if they had a particular drink, the waitress snapped a curt "No!" as she walked past and walked away. Even though the room was booked until midnight, we were already getting suggestive looks around 10:30 or 11:00 PM. This had nothing to do with the "authentically rustic" waiters you'd expect in a Bavarian restaurant; it was simply a generally rude atmosphere. I very likely won't be going there again on my own.

A must-see if you come to Munich. Super traditional, with a huge indoor area. I hope to return when the outdoor area is open. Very good food, friendly service, and standard Munich prices. A band plays popular music. The beers, as always, live up to this place's reputation.
