We were a group of 8. We had initially reserved a curling rink from 3 p.m....then we had dinner in the Augustinerkeller. What we didn't expect, however, was that two men we didn't know stalked us in the parking lot and threatened to tow one of the cars because it supposedly wasn't allowed to be there. It turns out that they were two employees from the Augustinerkeller. Both gentlemen served as replacement managing directors. So you can first leave your money there and then you will be stalked and shouted at in public and accused of lying. Anyone who likes to be stalked and shouted at in public....Welcome, you've come to the right place! But maybe my car just wasn't appropriate, they have something against women or against English people. So be careful!!!!

Typical Bavarian food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere! We had dinner on Friday without a reservation, they immediately found a place for us, very good shank and viennese. Prices high but average (for Italians: remember to consider the tip in addition!).

Nice place. The area we sat ,not in the main building, was cold, but fortunately the service brought a heater. You should visit this place

Saturday evening, pretty full (carnival event), but super organized, service was very nice despite the stress, food was tasty in Bavarian style (ham knuckle nice and crispy). Now all that’s left to do is reopen the beer garden season!

Super delicious, the food was delivered extremely quickly and for dessert there was one of the best Kaiserschmarrens I have ever eaten. And I have the highest standards. ;) We had to wait about 15 minutes in one place just to get in. Since we didn't have a reservation, that was totally fine. The prices are okay, the service was quick and friendly. I'd love to come back there. Thank you!

Nice lighting, great ambience, very friendly service and the food was pretty good too. (The schnitzel wasn't particularly big though) However, due to the special construction of the old warehouses, the DJ's acoustics were only mediocre on New Year's Eve.

I already visited the Hofbräuhaus in the morning and here in the evening. Haksen is as crispy as armor on the outside, not salty and good to eat with beer. Actually, this is my first time here... Beer is a disappointment. The original has a slight floral scent at the end, but there is nothing more to it. Dark is also dull... Beer varies greatly from person to person. If you like beer and have drank beers from various countries here and there, I wonder if there is a need to come here just to drink this.

We ate here 3 times at dinner, different meals. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the waiters are very nice and fast. After you order , it takes maximum 10 minutes and they bring you the food. The only thing is that if you are a couple and you don't want to wait , you might eat with other people at the table, but for us it wasn't an issue

Oops, as an Augustiner Keller fan I was disappointed today. Cold Augustiner delicacies plate and Alte Kaiserschmarren. Too bad. At lunchtime only daily specials. That doesn't work at all. A cold plate of knuckle and duck is never allowed to be brought to the table. We're not tourists! The Kaiserschmarren was a disgrace. The Augustiner Keller has a claim to defend.

The food was very good. The waiter we had was rude and unfriendly to us. Something was floating in the beer and we asked. The answer came: "Do we know what a wooden barrel is? These are deposits of it. He was very friendly with both of the two ladies we were simply seated with. We hadn't given him any reason.

A real beer garden highlight. If I only gave food and service 4 points, it's because it's beer garden level. Sauce sometimes drowns the dumplings and the waitress perhaps exudes too much of her “Bavarian charm”. Then you have to swallow both uncritically, quietly and recognizably humbly. Speaking of swallowing... a strong one always improves one thing and somehow usually improves the other too (experience value). But the parking situation is a disaster. There is something like this on one side of the site. Big enough for 12 Smart or around six status limousines. Stay on the road and good luck getting rid of your own car there temporarily. The milder the summer evenings, the harder the cars fight to at least be able to park without penalty. It's smart if you don't sit down at one of the regulars' tables (huge trouble!), who considers your expected blood alcohol level in front of a nice police officer and... who therefore uses a taxi. Of course, without spoiling it with too much beer. If the driver still grumbles for no reason, please be lenient with him. He's probably your waitress's brother, No matter how you twist it, this beer garden is clearly a recommendation. You have to like your clientele. It's largely the same thing that happens in the beer gardens in southern Munich and beyond. But a measure always works!

One of Munich's traditional breweries. The beer speaks for itself. The ambience is hearty. The menu is classic with the usual offerings such as knuckle, roast pork and Kaiserschmarrn. The quality is ok. Professional guest management and professional service. Great beer garden in summer. Lots of tourists, at the forefront Japanese.

Everything was actually great, but unfortunately we sat in the large hall, which wasn't for us.

Thank you for making our last day in Munich great! Sorry for not being able to finish all the dishes. We had to try what we haven't been able to try the previous days.

A wonderful restaurant! The menu offers something for every taste and the dishes are excellently prepared. The service was incredibly attentive and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing evening. I'll definitely be back!

Service was mediocre and then position you in a awkward spot to pay while asking for a tip. Terrible paying experience.

Now I know why I hate going out to eat so much. There is a very high risk that I won't like it. Maybe it's just me. But if you like lukewarm dumplings (max 32 degrees) and cold red cabbage (less than 25 degrees) with juicy, tender, half-warm duck with limp skin on a cold plate, I can definitely recommend the place, because the beer tastes really good. When the waiter asked that the dumpling was cold, he just nodded in understanding. Of course I didn't get a hot dumpling. And one more thing: we were charged €1.40 for each individual slice of bread. And the nine of us left €560 behind. Wow.

The food was good, but if you do not give a tip, they will become rude and evil.

It was Lagerkeller. It's deep underground. The basic dish, Augustiner Edelstoff vom Holzfaß, is very delicious. I couldn't help but think, "I've had one more!"

Located just off the main square, you’ll find a beer hall that’s much less busy than the more touristy ones. Loved the service, food, and beer. Beautiful decor inside in the beer hall, and cool beer garden outside with lots of lawn games (more so for the summer months, but there were also winter games).

Great food and service. We ate here a few years ago when we were in town for Oktoberfest and made it a point to return during our latest quick trip through Munich. The outdoor area is a great time too!

Nice atmosphere, decorations as in traditional Bavarian restaurants. The price is fine but the size of the portion (much smaller) can't be compared with other similar Bavarian restaurants. Better to have a reservation beforehand.

Staying in such a large and traditional property is certainly impressive. However, there are better places all around at the same price level if you are looking for decent cuisine/gastronomy (food is rather bland and, for my taste, prepared with too many convenience tools. The service seems rather rough and I don't mean authentic or traditional, but rough bordering on unfriendly. All in all OK but not really a pleasant experience.

One of the most traditional Bavarian restaurants around Munich central station. The food and beers were great, and they have lunch menu as well. The food and the beers are slightly more expensive but it is a really nice place to hangout with your friends.

First off, this is not a tourist trap. Great authentic Bavarian food and obviously, beer. I had the Ochsenfetzen and a Russn Mass, both were pure perfection. The Ochsenfetzen had a great pepper sauce included and the meat was perfectly fried. As appetizer we had the “Keller Käse” which is basically a “Obazda”. Delicious! Would come back at any time.

We have asked for duck, pork knuckle, spätzle, and apple pie. The reinterpretation of the Bavarian dumpling with vanilla sauce was magnificent! The place is a true Bavarian gem

The Augustiner Keller is my favorite outdoor beer garden in Munich, and now it's indoors again. Although the restaurant is huge (the festival hall alone is worth a look!), there are cozy corners and rooms. The vaulted cellar is also beautiful! The food was very good, there was a great variety of snack plates, not too big Kasspatzn, a great pretzel, and we had something unusual like jellied meat. I think it's a shame that they have König Ludwig as a non-alcoholic wheat beer, there are better ones. The service was so nice, quick and still able to talk to us that we received very good tips. The portions are smaller than usual, so we shared something after dinner. The huts outside with the curling rink are currently very imaginative in winter.

The server was rude and I ate 4 menu items, but when they asked me to pay for 7 items, I just calmly said "sorry" and the worst server masked all the taste of the food. It cost 17.30 euros.

Historic brewery in Merano. Tested on the last day of the year with crowds outside despite the obligation to book. The pork shank with potatoes is crunchy and not to be missed, the same goes for the ribs, the barley soup is tasty and invigorating. The image is of an organised, efficient kitchen, and of a well-orchestrated whole by the maitre d' in the Tyrolean outfit. Not to be missed

Excellent service! Were served by Samir, who put his heart and soul into it and gave 110%. Our every wish was fulfilled. He radiates joy of life & makes you feel at home. We had already spoken to the innkeeper, Mr. Vogler, and were able to get seated despite it being New Year's Eve and without a reservation. He always and regularly explored us, our wishes and our well-being. Thank you very much! Definitely recommended.

Typical Bavarian rustic restaurant. An excellent draft beer, Augustiner.😋 If you want hearty delicacies, this is the right place for you. Like today on New Year's Eve, for example, with a live band in the large hall, not bad either. ✌️ The Kaiserschmarrn today really leaves a lot to be desired, there are actually much better ones in Munich. Somehow it tasted slightly burnt and warmed up. Please Augustiner Keller, improve this.

We sat in the ballroom. The order was taken quickly, drinks and food came quickly. The Wiener Schnitzel tasted delicious, buttery, with wavy breading, as it should be. The ox shreds were also very delicious. Despite the somewhat louder background noise, it was possible to have a good conversation. We would particularly like to highlight the great service from Franjo, thank you for the service that evening.

I rarely give low scores, but the beer taste and food quality were below expectations. The service wasn't good either.

This used to be a nice y place, but it has degraded to a tourist attraction with average food, and mixed atmosphere. But the worst is the practically non-existing “service”. Rude and inattentive waiters and personnel are not worth the money.

Because the pork knuckles were sold out, the waiter introduced us to another menu that also had pork. We were overjoyed. The pork was very soft and the seasoning went well with the sauce. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was also good. The waiter who placed our order was smiling. Good, very kind, and the price is very favorable even if you don’t estimate it👍🏻

An oasis in the middle of the city

Wonderful place themed with the beautiful Bavarian style. The waiters speak English and they accept cash and cards. The food is delicious with a great variety of regional dishes. Even if it's full, service is great and your order is delivered very quickly compared to other places.

Fantastic place with good food and great beer (especially the alki-frei) my one complaint with the waitress from Croatia who charged me for things I never ordered to run my bill up and then gilted me for a tip which I didn't leave. Let this serve as a notice to the manager of this place!!!

Tourist trap... lived in Germany for 14 years and they still treated me like I just got off the plane. Beer comes about 200ml less than you pay for and they tell you to tip when you pay.

The location can best be described with the words light and shadow. We stayed at the Augustiner Keller twice this week, with prior reservations. The first time was perfect, we had a nice table on the balcony, the food was great and the cellar was really on the ball and more than accommodating. The second time, despite making a reservation in advance, we only got a small table with a bar stool near the bar, which was rather uncomfortable for a cozy evening without a backrest and it was just acceptable for four of us to eat on the very narrow table. Unfortunately, the service was rather mediocre, the waiters were rather inattentive or not even present. The food was, as always, a delight.

We went 2 times. The first day was perfect, everything was very good, impeccable service. Second day everything went wrong. They didn't have the dishes we wanted, the waiter spoke French and German, little English. He brought the wrong dishes and still complained about the box.

Getting a table with 8 people on a Christmas weekend. Impossible 😉 so almost impossible. But the Augustiner Keller staff made it possible. A very big thank you for that. Large restaurant, relatively loud and hectic. Our service was extremely friendly, quick and competent. Drinks and food came very quickly. The portion sizes are still ok. Everyone enjoyed the food. The drinks prices are ok, the food prices are rather high.

The food and the place might be good, but the waiter serving the tables at the back, a bald man, treated us in an unacceptable manner. His attitude was rude and completely disrespectful, ruining the entire experience. Shameful!

Terrible place. The waiter was aggressive, rude and acted as if he were on drugs, he spoke loudly, staggered, moved his jaw and even babbled, we had to leave before ordering desserts. I'm never coming back.

Serving speed is very fast The interior is very large. If you are taken to the basement, there will be a strong smell of oil smoke. When checking out, the service staff will ask if you want to leave a tip. The pig's feet are delicious and the skin is grilled very crispy But the two of us couldn’t finish the meal, so we asked if we could have two lunch boxes. He is only willing to give one

Well. For a night which was not identified as busy, the service was very slow. I was not overly impressed as we were seated right next to the lower floor kitchen with the associated noise. All in all, I suggest you visit but understand that the place is geared to high turnover.

Came in here after a train journey and received two rather lopsided beers, ordered a 0.5l and at most there is 0.4l in there...

Food selection, as you would expect from a traditional Munich restaurant, good quality, reasonably priced. Yesterday we had a bar waiter for whom the calibration mark probably only serves as a suggestion, not as a legal obligation. What the Asians at the next table got in their beer mugs in particular was cheeky, max. 700 ml. That's why only 3 stars
