One of the two historic breweries in Munich, a place where the history of Germany and also of beer was written, the food is excellent, the staff is kind and courteous, when I was here there was even a waiter who spoke Italian, I had a great time, a huge choice of beers and honest prices

The waiter was listless, impatient, and rushed. We called him back to add the rest of our order. There were two of us, and we had no special requests. The food arrived within a few minutes, but with several minutes of delay. The dishes were bland, unimaginative, and presented without any care. The onion rings on the Spätzle were cold, tough, and rancid; the side salads were uninspired; and the dumpling with fancy mushrooms was swimming in sauce. When the waiter cleared the table, looking puzzled, and noticed that half the dishes were uneaten, I told him the food hadn't tasted good. He said that sometimes happens. That was the end of it for him, and for us too. It's a shame, because it shows a lack of respect for the customer's time and money.

We had reserved a table for two for New Year's Eve. Upon arrival, everything was very chaotic, and it seemed like the staff were quite stressed and didn't really have an overview of the reservations. We ordered the roast pork, and it was an outrage! There were two pieces of meat on the plate, half of which was pure fat (see photo). We had reserved for 6:00 PM, and at 6:45 PM, the waiter told us that the table was already reserved for 7:00 PM. He added the friendly comment, "So you know what's going on." That was definitely our last visit to this restaurant.

We had the four-course meal there on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The food was cold and the portions were extremely small. The advertised music was indeed playing, but not in our room; it was only in the main dining room. Guests who hadn't booked the four-course meal could enjoy the music there – we unfortunately couldn't. Overall, the evening didn't meet our expectations, nor was it good value for money. A brewery is a brewery – fine dining simply isn't possible here.

We had mixed up a dish (our fault, not the kitchen's), but the waitress promptly brought us a new portion without charging us anything! Extremely kind and professional! Recommended!

We had pre-ordered the four-course New Year's Eve menu. At reception, we were initially seated incorrectly and then were simply supposed to sit with the people who were having a regular meal. The website advertised live music for 20 minutes at a time, but this wasn't happening in the room where we were seated. The other diners were able to enjoy it. The whole experience felt off. When the food finally arrived, the soup was lukewarm. The main course was very small, and the sauce was far too sweet. The dessert was truly awful. One would normally expect to be full after a four-course meal, but that was not the case. Furthermore, it was obvious that the plates hadn't been freshly prepared. The main course had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time, as the sauce had dried out. The meat, however, was cold, and the gnocchi were lukewarm. The waiter was friendly, but it was clear he was simply overwhelmed. We felt rushed and unwelcome; there was no conversation, nothing, not even a question about how the meal was. Everything was just slapped on the table, all very impersonal. ... We should have stuck with the brewery... that was a real disappointment and ruined our evening. It was completely unacceptable.

An experience not to be repeated. We booked for New Year's Eve, and a waiter literally kicked us out starting at 11 PM, even though we'd been told at the door that we could stay until shortly after midnight. Furthermore, the cleaning lady in the bathroom was very rude. I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough bread for the snack platter; we ordered more, but then had to pay extra… Otherwise, everything was great!

The waiter was truly rude, bordering on decency. The food was brought at different times for different diners, one after the other, forcing us to eat it cold. To make matters worse, he came to bring us the bill while we were still eating our main course and specifically asked for a tip, which clearly wasn't mandatory. A truly unpleasant evening, due to the waiter and the bathroom cleaner, who was even ruder in comparison.

The ambiance is quite nice, but unfortunately, the food, like in most Munich breweries, is pure mass production. The main course arrived at the same time as the appetizer. The "noble mushrooms" in the creamed mushroom dish were actually chanterelles and button mushrooms pickled in vinegar. This unfortunately gave the whole thing a very sour taste, and the price is absolutely unjustified. I'm very disappointed; I haven't had such a bad meal in a restaurant for a long time. Unfortunately, despite the pleasant atmosphere, I can't recommend it, except perhaps for drinking beer.

Do not recommend. Discriminatory and aggressive service. My friend and I are Asian visitors from Canada and do not speak German. From the moment we sat down, our waitress was impatient and dismissive, laughing, rolling her eyes, and giving us side-eye simply because we needed a moment to decide. We ordered by pointing clearly at items on the English menu, yet she repeatedly brought the wrong dishes. When we asked about the missing liver dumpling soup, she aggressively said “there is no dumpling soup,” spoke loudly at us in German despite knowing we don’t understand it, and handed us a German menu when an English one was available. Instead of helping, she blamed us for not using German dish names and became increasingly hostile. Pointing at the menu should be sufficient anywhere. This was not a simple misunderstanding, it was a pattern of rude, aggressive, and dismissive behavior toward non-German, Asian customers. We spoke to the manager, who brushed it off as a misunderstanding, but our experience, including the attitude, tone, and treatment, says otherwise. After reading other reviews, it’s clear we were not the only Asian customers treated this way. It is alarming to see repeated reports over multiple years of racist behavior toward Asian customers, including slurs. This suggests a management problem, not an isolated incident. By ignoring these complaints, the restaurant enables and normalizes this behaviour. I would not recommend this restaurant if you expect respectful service.

A pretty decent restaurant compared to the rest of Munich. The prices are expensive like everywhere else in Munich but not extreme. What we ate was delicious and with decent beers. This restaurant is worth a visit. The place is very nice but it smells a lot like frying.

Really love the food here! The price is reasonable with good service. I thought the knuckle would be small but it could make both of us full! The Pretzel impressed me the most with its crispy texture. The salt on the surface of the bread is definitely an enhancement for the taste. Thanks for treating us so good!

If you're a group of five and want to eat in shifts, this is a great place. However, I wouldn't recommend it for those who prefer to eat together. My five-year-old was the last to finish after everyone had taken turns eating. I would only describe the food quality as average. PS: The service was very friendly and the restrooms were extremely clean. Still, we'll never go back!

Everything was wonderful. I just had the feeling that the staff were under some sales pressure. If that's the case, though, it's not the staff's fault.

On December 25th, Christmas, not many restaurants were open, so I searched online the day before and found an available spot at 1:30pm, so I went there for lunch. I arrived 20 minutes early, but they still seated me. The woman who served us was very kind. We had sausages, goulash (a meat stew), and chicken. Everything was delicious and went perfectly with beer. They spoke English.

We were with a group so food rating probably shouldn't count. We laughed so hard over the horrible boiled potatoes in Bavaria and Austria.

After trying several places, we finally found our favorite spot to bring visitors who want to experience the famous Bavarian beer-house atmosphere. The live band moving between the tables, the staff (especially Meri, our waitress for the evening) and the venue itself all come together to guarantee a great night. After a few beers and some good-quality local food, we ended up staying at our table for another two hours, playing cards, having more drinks, and simply enjoying the atmosphere. Prices are fair, only regret is the location but it’s worth the “travel” if you do not absolutely want to stay in the old town.

Either we were unlucky or the other reviews are inaccurate. We ordered the roast pork twice and the schnitzel once. The schnitzel was good, but the potatoes were overcooked. The roast pork was dry, the gravy was watery, and the dumpling wasn't great either. Only the coleslaw was really good. We definitely won't be eating there again.

Yesterday, the three of us went there. The service was good, and drinks and food were served very quickly. The food itself was also very tasty, but they could have added a few more potatoes to the schnitzel. Therefore, I recommend a (very tasty) side salad.

All in all, our visit was okay. Our waiter was attentive. We had a nice table in the back corner. The dishes we ordered, such as Kaiserschmarrn, beef burger, roast pork, pork knuckle, and various soups, were good. It's a shame they didn't offer Wiener Schnitzel and fries. Really disappointing for such a large restaurant.

This is a beer hall, very loud, very uncomfortable, something for young people. I ordered food: liver dumpling soup and beef goulash. The kitchen is right in the middle of the restaurant. The food arrived in under 10 minutes, and it was served quickly. I tried the soup; it wasn't hot enough, and the liver dumpling was cold inside. Okay, I pushed it aside and tried the goulash first. The bread dumpling was good, the sauce okay, but the beef goulash was dry. I ate the dumpling but left most of the goulash. Then I went back to the soup, and the liver dumpling had warmed up by then, but I still didn't finish it. This place is fine for tourists and young groups, but anyone who wants a good meal shouldn't go there. I was very disappointed. I'm a native of Munich and often came here with my parents as a child, but honestly, I can't recommend it anymore. What a shame.

Haha... I ordered pork ribs and sausages, but the sausages... who said they were delicious? They were all bad, and the pork ribs tasted like frozen food. We had a reservation for 10 people, but were initially seated at a table meant for a maximum of 7 people. After we pointed this out, we were given a new table. The table was the same size as the previous one; the only difference was that there were more chairs. Consequently, it was very cramped. The food arrived at different times for everyone. The first people had practically finished eating by the time the last person received their meal. While this was mentioned when we ordered, the time difference was considerably greater than expected. The food was mediocre at best and rather uninspired. The photo shows the meatballs for €16.90. They tasted okay, and the portion was adequate, but unfortunately, they were served slightly too hot. The drinks arrived quickly, but some were not poured correctly. The photo shows a fresh beer after just a few minutes. The foam had settled, and the fill level was significantly below the fill line. The service was attentive and friendly. As previously mentioned, it was quite busy. Nevertheless, with the limited number of drinks ordered, there shouldn't be three extra beers on the bill. Each guest had between one and three drinks. Everyone can manage to state the correct amount when paying. We will not be returning under these circumstances. Edit: After the owner's response, I'm revising my review. It seems they only pretend to address criticism. Especially regarding the beer and the fill level. After the foam settled, the beer was clearly below the fill line. That's simply poured incorrectly. Furthermore, this wasn't the case with every beer, but only with some. Simply dismissing the criticism is, of course, the easy way out. I also wrote that the food was OK. True, taste is subjective, but color when searing is not. The meatballs were cooked for too long or too hot. Regarding the issue of space, as I already mentioned, they cite high occupancy. That doesn't change the fact that there was poor planning. If I reserve so far in advance, occupancy shouldn't be a factor. Otherwise, I might as well not bother making a reservation. Luckily, there are plenty of alternatives. Best of luck!

Dad had his Christmas party there. Unfortunately, there weren't enough seats set up. The staff was friendly but somewhat overwhelmed by the number of guests, especially in a place that's usually packed. It surprised him a bit. He arrived at 8 pm and the food didn't come until 9:30 pm. The curling rink is great, though.

I used to be a regular at Atzinger because of ChiChi. Now I've run into her again at Löwenbräukeller – what a lovely surprise! 🙂 ChiChi is my highlight. Her warm, open personality and exceptional service make every visit special. She makes you feel truly welcome. The food is fantastic – everything is fresh and absolutely delicious. Excellent experience. Munich's oldest and most famous brewery. Located next to a subway station, easy access. Very pleasant atmosphere, the waitresses' service is sensational (the waiter's, not so much). Very good food. Normal/good prices. Sensational beers (only here did I find a dark Weizenbier). The classic Kellerbier is also wonderful. Highly recommend!

We ate really well at this Keller, and the wait for our food was minimal. We had a reservation for 8:00 PM for four people, but since we arrived early because it was raining, the maître d' managed to find us a free table anyway, almost three-quarters of an hour before our scheduled time. The waitress, Miri, was truly kind and efficient.

I was very disappointed with this experience. Many items on the menu were unavailable, and the allergen information was incomplete. This made it incredibly difficult for people with food intolerances; my friend was limited to eating only potato salad. I ordered the duck, which was not only tasteless but gave me food poisoning afterward. On top of that, the service was slow, and they didn't even provide enough cutlery for the table. The ladies' restrooms are also located outside in the cold. I do not recommend eating here at all, there are plenty of other traditional places in Munich with much better food and service.

The ambiance at Löwenbräukeller is truly impressive – the vaulted ceiling in particular creates a wonderful atmosphere. The menu is rather concise, but typically Bavarian. The roast pork was excellent and highly recommended. However, the Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) was a bit disappointing; its quality fell short of expectations. Overall, a lovely place to enjoy Bavarian cuisine in a traditional setting.

There were four of us, and luckily we were able to make a reservation at short notice. The restaurant was very busy. The food was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. Even our vegetarian had a wide selection of suitable dishes. A big thank you also goes to the service staff. We were completely satisfied and would gladly return.

We reserved a table for 10 people a month in advance, but were given a table for 8 and crammed in; the beer was poured 1 cm below the fill line and passed around (at other breweries they place it in front of you and turn the logo towards the customer); the schnitzel was greasy; the pork knuckle was served without a sharp knife; and in the end, they charged us for 3 extra beers, claiming we had a bad memory. Worst pub experience in Munich.

Unfortunately, our snack platter had been prepared too long ago. The bread consisted of three small, stale, and hard slices. The salad garnish also looked rather unfresh. The rest was fine, but it wasn't enough to make us want to come back. What a shame.

I went to the LBK for the traditional Bavarian white sausage breakfast on a recommendation – everything was perfect. But what made the visit truly special were the guys and girls on the staff: they still laugh at work and the team is incredibly friendly. Keep it up! 🙂

I attended the "Spirituality & Healing Fair." The €12 daily entrance fee is reasonable, and there's a wide selection of booths as well as various lectures. If you only browse the booths, you'll be done in about an hour, but with the lectures, you can easily spend a whole day there. What surprised and thought-provoked me was that books on black magic and Freemasonry were also being offered. This bothered me because I didn't expect to find this content in an environment that focuses so heavily on positive spirituality and healing. The atmosphere there also felt quite mixed to me at times, and I couldn't feel energetically comfortable—that's just my personal impression, of course. Overall, the mood and energy there felt somewhat strange and out of place. Despite the diverse offerings, I wouldn't visit the fair again based on my subjective experience.

Hell is the least interesting of the Munich 6.

I was at the Löwenbräukeller this morning and received a warm welcome from the entire team. The waitress Anastasia gave me excellent advice and really made my morning. I'll definitely be back more often! 😉😉😉
