The restaurant tries to remove bad reviews instead of accepting that the service is super unfriendly. Maybe you should just change it so you can get better reviews!

We ordered two portions of fries in the beer garden, which were given to us completely cold. When we pointed this out, we were told "of course we'll take care of it". The fries were then simply warmed up in the oven (including ketchup)... Of course they were soggy and not everyone likes warm ketchup. It's a shame, the location is great.

Instead of accepting the truth they try to remove the reviews which they don't like. They have reported and removed my reviews many times. I'll keep trying to impose my thoughts about them

The sausage salad with cheese was very tasty, plentiful and well prepared. The pretzel is fresh. Attentive, quick service. Yes, it was a bit loud. But that’s how large-scale catering is!

The location is beautiful, but the experience was disappointing. The food was poor, and there was a clear lack of empathy for families with kids. We asked for a high chair, which they had, but they never brought it. There’s no kids’ menu, and they served food without plates and water with just one glass for four people. It felt like they weren’t prepared or willing to accommodate families, which made the visit quite frustrating.

This supposed beef fillet wasn't even a rump steak. The restaurant manager hasn't even responded to the complaint. So be careful in this restaurant!

It’s a giant beer garden restaurant (1700 covers) and you shouldn’t expect magic here. Yet you do get a cool glimpse of the experience. The food is understandably classic German and quite alright without ever being exciting. The roast pork is dry but the skin is crispy, the gravy is good. The cabbage is sour and full of caraway, quite nice. The strudel has a ton of apple and is perhaps the best part of the meal. The beer is as expected. I don’t usually go to giant restaurants expecting wonders so this one is perhaps even better than expected.

Best food we had. It is a little expensive but the food was worth it. We ate there twice on a 6 day stay. There is limited parking near but you can find street parking or use app called Ampido and there is a small lot a few blocks away. Highly recommend going to eat there. We had reservations for the first time and then just walked in the second.

Authentic typical Bavarian food. They have a special dish that is a tasting tray for 4 people, with which you can try the most representative dishes of the area.

In my opinion, this is a typical restaurant from a Bavarian brewery. Very large rooms with beer tables that can accommodate large groups of visitors. A menu with traditional dishes such as knuckle, suckling pig or roast roast is a given. Of course you can also find various vegetarian dishes here, but a weekly menu is also included. Most of the service staff runs around in lederhosen, which makes the whole thing even more authentic.

In general it's great Local. We were here 5-7 times. Almost all the times there were great, but not the last time. The last time I was limited in the free-selection the table. The Local was totally empty and I was forbidden to choose a seat myself, forced to sit in the most uncomfortable places, I just left. And I am grateful to the stubborn waitress, because, thanks to the stubbornness and inattention of an indifferent waitress, in the end I found a more comfortable and friendly Place in the very center of Munich and had a very good time in another Place. Thank you very much Löwenbräukeller! :)

The ambience was nice, the service was friendly, but very chaotic... But we would have expected far more from the food. The duck and roast pork were completely dried out and the onion roast was practically raw...

Don't spend a cent there. There are 2 zones - restaurant and self-service zone( like a bistro with beer). We were sitting in the latter, when rain started, really heavy rain, of course everyone run into order zone of bistro, which is under the roof, but then some guy came and forced everyone out into the rain for no apparent reason. Disgusting behavior.

Unfortunately, our visit went more badly than well. The service was unfriendly, arrogant and not attentive. The food is placed in the lower area, the knuckle tasted bitter and seems to have received too much heat from the outside because it wasn't completely cooked in the middle. The coleslaw only tasted like vinegar. The other dishes were bland in taste! It was nice that a small brass band played, but unfortunately it only seemed obtrusive due to the volume being too high. The selection of music was tourist-friendly. Conclusion: Basically a nice atmosphere, which suffers from the very poor service and the below-average food, as well as the music being way too loud.

Traditional brewery inn with huge dimensions. The large ballroom alone can accommodate 2,000 people. Despite the size, very cozy and rustic. Great ambience, tasty beer and a classic brewery menu with knuckle, roast pork or ox spots. Attentive, quick but unobtrusive service.

We were here for New Year's Eve, we were a group of 17 kids, all adults. Nice environment, nice pub with very large spaces. Poorly cooked food, some received the shank raw and others overcooked. Prices high even by Munich standards. Terrible service: they assigned only one waiter for 17 people, who was also rude. After dinner they forced us to leave a 10% tip (on a dinner costing almost 800 euros), this didn't happen anywhere else in Monaco. Finally, at 10pm they kicked us out of the place because it closed early, and no one had told us. Not recommended.

The cube is good. Prices are a little high. But in the bill they brought us, there were some additional items. We realized this after paying but in the end they gave us back the extra 20 euros out of a total of around 100 euros. Be careful.

The waiter who showed us to our table was rude and ignorant, which started our experience on a low base. The waiter who then served our food was better up until it was time to pay the bill, when we indicated that we would not be leaving a tip, He became very pushy and pretty much followed us to the door complaining that he should get a tip even though we had explained why we weren't leaving one. It was pretty pathetic. The food was average at best. Not as good as we had experienced in other places, and the atmosphere was bland. The whole situation in the Lowenbraukeller smacks of a place that had a good reputation and became lazy because of it. Hoffbrauhaus was a much better experience, so go there, and give Lowenbrau a miss.

We spontaneously went there for dinner as a family on Boxing Day. We received a very warm welcome and our waiter, an Egyptian, was super nice, extremely attentive and funny. We felt comfortable there and would go there again and again.

I had a quick change in Munich and wanted lunch. I found this restaurant. Unfortunately I didn't eat anything 🤷‍♂️. The restaurant was relatively empty, but I wasn't served for a long time. I waited for the waiter for about 20 minutes🤬, then got up and left. That was a bad number, honestly, a big disappointment.🤬🤬🤬

Saturday evening. Arrived late, very nice place, semi-deserted place, in theory the kitchen should have been open but they told us it was already closed. After a bit of insistence they get us something back, which wasn't what we would have wanted but that's it... No menu on the table not even to choose the beer, which is brought to us based on the quantity. Having had dinner and finished the beer since we didn't want another one (I can't even choose) they bring us the bill and the waiter gives us a long speech to explain why we have to leave a tip (!). Net residence time 45 minutes. We ended the evening elsewhere.

We and the table next to us were assigned to some two grandfathers who were clearly not happy that it was their work shift today. We were definitely not welcome. I have never encountered such a boorish attitude in my life. (I thought that maybe this is Europe and it’s normal (I’ve only recently lived here), but my husband (German) said it’s not fucking normal!) They sat us at the table, as if they were doing us a favor, but that’s okay, the waiter ignored me, or took half the order and left, then returned after 10 minutes and continued. The food was prepared hastily, everything was either overcooked (but raw inside) or dry. I didn’t really like beer from this brewery even in Russia, but being in Germany now, I can say that the beer is just as mediocre as in Russia. The room is quite large and beautiful, it has a Bavarian aesthetic, but it was December 21st and it was a little chilly, the waiter was also wearing a sweater, like a granny walking around wrapped up. After a certain time, live music begins with brass players (they walk around the tables and play for money). It’s very loud if you were planning to socialize, you won’t be able to do that (but I don’t think there’s any need to change anything with the atmosphere or music, I understand that the restaurant is designed for tourists, so be it. Hence the indignation at the service even more. We drank a little and ate, since we were already wildly hungry, but after that we decided to change the restaurant so that we could succeed. It turned out to be a small Italian restaurant nearby, we were lucky with everything. amazing (brought some water for the dogs, although we didn’t even ask), explained everything on the menu, didn’t leave us for long, joked, fully deserved his tip. The food was also divine, as was the alcohol. P.S. I perfectly understand the specifics of the establishment, I can understand why the food was prepared quickly (designed for flow). But for half the evening (before the influx), the waiters simply hung out next to the kitchen, avoiding even eye contact with us.

Go there if you are looking for a touristic place with bad expensive food

Food was good, but our waiter ignored us and was unfriendly and when, according to him, we didn't tip enough, he made fun of us.

So the beer was good, we didn't eat. We were here as tourists and personally I have to say that we expected a little more. It got off to a really good start, there were brass musicians in the room and there was a lot of singing along. Here songs were played as requested, which was really good! Unfortunately we had a seat behind a pillar so we were a bit cut off. We asked the staff if we could sit in one of the numerous free seats in the middle, but were ultimately denied - all of these seats remained unoccupied until we left, so it was incomprehensible to us. From around 9:30 p.m. there was no more brass music, which of course cooled the mood. Maybe it's normal in Munich (?), but it's pretty early for a Saturday evening. Overall, a mixed conclusion.

For tourists, the typical Bavarian cliché is lived here, but as a local you don't need to come here. The food is all prepared and just warmed up. There's no other way I can explain why the food is at the table quicker than the drinks. The onion roast could only be served raw, even though I wanted it medium. Quote waiter: “We are not a steakhouse” 🙄 It's very loud inside and conversations there are very tiring.

Lunch break with work colleagues and just a relaxed meal

Atmosphere felt touristy with average food. I will emphasize what others have said about the waiters - was upsold ordering beer and he attempted to upsell me a side salad. It was suggested as an included option but my radar was up after the beer - when I asked how much it was the waiter (who spoke excellent English which I was grateful for) acted all confused until I pushed and he very plainly admitted it was 7€ more. When paying he did clearly show the card reader which was itemized but pushed for a tip. I wouldn’t recommend or go again

Terrible service!! The so-called head waiter shouted at all the staff and guests. Outrageous behavior and a restless atmosphere, you can really eat better in Munich.

Every time, when I post my review, it is blocked. Shame on you Lövenbrau keller, if you are using paid robots for fake reviews and blocking honest bad ones. What a shame for Löwenbrau, we were scammed there. We wanted single meal for peron (15-20 eur) The waiter adviced us to order mixed plate for 30 eur, that it has a better value. But it was in the end 30 eur pro person. And it was inedible. Lot of of dry old food with bellow average quality. We did not wanted so much food. And at the end they stopped to serve us. We were exhausted and felt like in the hostile territory, so we didnt argue much and paid, but we are never coming back again

Awesome looking place, very busy enquired about a table the guy running the desk had an disgraceful attitude and turned his back on us. Sat in the beergarden for 1 beer which was lovely. Should have booked granted but no need for the rudeness at all.

Unfortunately, an extremely disappointing experience. The service was simply outrageous. We politely asked if there was a children's schnitzel as we were young women and couldn't eat that much. The waiter's answer: Yes, there is children's schnitzel, but he doesn't want to sell it to us. I then wanted to order the roast pork knuckle, the cheaper dish, to which he said: 'You can't handle that.' Instead he forced the large schnitzel on me for 30 euros (it was totally dry). That was really disrespectful and patronizing. To make matters worse, we waited half an hour for the bill. Price-performance ratio is catastrophic and the service is simply subpar. Absolutely not recommended! I prefer to recommend the Wirtshaus Max Emanuel.

We were very disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. The service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter actively tried to force more expensive dishes on us, which was very unpleasant. When a friend of ours chose a roast knuckle for €18, she was talked out of this choice - the waiter claimed she wouldn't be able to do it anyway. We found this to be extremely rude and disrespectful. She felt compelled to order a schnitzel for €30 instead, even though it wasn't her first choice. In addition, we ended up having to wait 30 minutes for the bill, which further reinforced the negative impression. Overall, a very disappointing visit that we cannot recommend.

Typical Bavarian pub hall with separate rooms in a central location. We were there for the Christmas party with a menu. The food was okay, but not a highlight. The service was very changeable - quick for food, while you often had to wait a long time or ask for drinks. In general the noise level is very high. I would recommend the location more for a private get-together than a company party.

Despite the large number of guests, the entire staff was calm and well-coordinated!! A special mention must be made of the man behind the counter! Because he *works* for 3!! The counter is always tidy and no chaos! This is his achievement!! The musical accompaniment by: Bayrisch Extrem* was an additional plus point!!! Do not eat here. Overcharged by €20+ for our meal. We were rudely greeted at the entrance, and our menus thrown down on the table. Our server was Sameer, and he was not nice to us. We ordered beers that were listed as only .5L, and he brought and charged us for 1L (almost double the price). He attempted to “recommend” the most expensive item on the menu, and was rude when we did not choose that. The food was okay, nothing special. Our total should have been around 55 euro but we were charged 77 euro with no explanation. He did not offer to tell us what all we were being charged for, as every other restaurant has, and we were not shown it either. There are much better restaurants to go to in Munich.

Our server was angry the whole time, brought out food sporadically wasn't attentive with refilling biers, had to hunt him down to pay. Food was great, appetizers on point, dessert was great. But service...

Nice atmosphere and surroundings, but food quality is not great: undercooked sausages that we told to waiter who didn’t do anything about it; and got the more expensive calf schnitzel when I specifically asked for cheaper schnitzel Art - and told to pay for the more expensive Schnitzel I did not order. Price/quality ratio is not great - much better authentic German food options nearby.

Had a knuckle that was delicious. Of course it's big and full, the service was attentive. I found the three-man brass band that moved from table to table a bit annoying. Certainly a cultural thing, but I found it too intrusive (also with the collection, which makes you feel bad if you don't add anything and is motivated to empty your beer every 5 minutes). Unfortunately, I cannot report positively about my visit to this restaurant. I tried several times to leave honest reviews, but the owners kept deleting them. This reflects poorly on transparency and the handling of customer feedback. The atmosphere and the food did not live up to expectations based on the pictures and advertising. In addition, the friendliness of the staff was unfortunately not there, which further clouded the overall impression. I can therefore not recommend this restaurant and hope that the owners will be more open to constructive criticism in the future.

We were here as a Christmas party with the company. Unfortunately, this is absolutely not recommended. The atmosphere is more Oktoberfest than Christmas, even though they made an effort to decorate something for Christmas. But it's also just way too loud there. Even at a distance of 20 cm you have to scream. There is no “Christmas” feeling. The brass band played Oktoberfest music. Cruel for me. The duck from the weekly menu tasted excellent.

Starting with the location and the atmosphere - what a beautiful place to enjoy some beers and food - it's a buzzing, historical place where you end up sat next to friendly strangers, enjoying some amazing beer. The food also is very good - even as a vegan I was surprised, I had the lentil stew/soup which was delicious, along with a mixed salad with house dressing, plus a few beers - I was very happy, and most importantly, full. Unfortunately what let the visit down was the service, served by someone who constantly forgot our order, got the bill wrong for the gentlemen opposite us, effectively threw dishes and beer down in front of us and generally just gave the vibe he despised being there. I would absolutely come back, a couple more vegan options might be nice (even a simple vegan burger and fries or a vegan Currywurst could be a good addition?) and maybe with a different waiter would be better, but overall it was an ok experience.

As soon as we arrived in Munich and near our hotel we found this restaurant where we ate very well and the waiter was very kind and friendly, also friendly when speaking in Italian. Spatzle with cheese are delicious and the Wiener schnitzels are also excellent. Not to mention the Kaisershmarrem.....sublime!! 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

Löwenbräukeller offers a classic Munich dining experience with fantastic food, great beer, and a lively atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient overall, but we experienced a disappointing issue during our visit. The host seated us in an area that had been reserved for another party, and halfway through our meal, we were presented with the bill and informed we would need to move. This interruption dampened the experience and felt like a service misstep. That said, the quality of the food and drinks still made it a worthwhile visit. It’s a great spot for traditional Bavarian fare and beer, but we hope for a smoother experience next time.

For Italians: Prices slightly high but considering the place, the country and the environment of the place they are fair. The food is excellent, we tried different dishes (shin, sauerkraut, can salad, gnocchi and strudel) all very good. Obviously excellent beer. As I already said, the environment is suggestive and Bavarian-like, a nice experience. Terrible service; it gave us the impression that, being the only foreigners that this particular waiter served, he treated us with disdain, but again, it's an impression. He was certainly tipsy. He forgot the dishes ordered, we asked 4 times for 2 strudels and 5 times for pretzels which in the end never arrived. At the reception the lady also made a frown on us and the thing that bothered me most of all, neither of the two people who served us knew how to speak English and interact with foreign customers.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience at the Löwenbräukeller. We had an unfriendly waiter who displayed a very strong passive aggressive manner. It's just not fun to spend time there. We left immediately after our first order. No recommendation.

Outside the historic center, it is another characteristic place worth trying. There isn't the "frenzy" of the Hofbräuhaus but the atmosphere is still lively, also thanks to the orchestra that plays live music. Here you can also book for 2 or 3 people. The service is, as always, quick and therefore waiting times are short.

We came to the Löwenbräukeller for lunch and had corresponding expectations. Unfortunately, our visit was overshadowed by disputes among the staff, and the location right at the entrance was of course inconvenient because we didn't want to hear everything from there. No matter what happened, the guests should not notice any disagreements/arguments etc. Less than 5 minutes went by without the lady at the entrance summoning a waiter and making a fuss. We felt extremely uncomfortable and the tension was palpable. The beer tasted delicious and our waiter was also quite friendly and quick. We were only disappointed by the food, which came within 5 minutes and was therefore not fresh. A roast with very little crust and a dumpling, unfortunately carelessly prepared. The baked potato was only lukewarm, but served quite appetizingly with salad. We definitely won't be coming back, all in all a disappointing visit and no comparison to my previous visit in 2019.

The epitome of a tourist trap when it comes to the food, which is absolutely ghastly! I have had better German classics at motorway services than here. If you are here just for the beer then it’s perfectly fine, but don’t expect to experience genuine Bavarian cuisine in this place.

I don't have any major objections to food. However, the employer completely exploits the staff. They seem to have to work under degrading conditions and are clearly underpaid. They beg for tips at every table. If you don't give them anything, they even become aggressive and even insult the customers. I only know something like that from the drug scene at the main train station. This completely ruined my appetite. Therefore only 2 stars for the food.

The roast pork with crust and a nice beer is highly recommended here. I would rather not eat the schnitzel. We can also recommend the Dallmayr Cappuccino.

This restaurant is aesthetically beautiful. The palace is worth the view. It is outside the center and to reach it you need transport or a great desire to walk. The food and beer aren't bad and the atmosphere is quaint too. Unfortunately, however, the staff is not up to par. Since they saw me as clearly a tourist and having difficulty with the language, the waiter took the liberty of loading the bill by talking about some food which, unfortunately, I was unable to reply to. My mistake so be careful if you go. It's worth a visit for the beer.

The food is really excellent, but unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. If the waiters don't receive enough tips, they are arrogant and rude. Unfortunately, this significantly reduces the overall impression.
