Steiner Bräustüberl in Traunreut

I was unfortunately disappointed with my visit to the Steiner Bräustüberl. The white sausages, which I had been looking forward to, were unbearably sour—almost as if they had been soaked in citric acid. I've never experienced anything like that with white sausages before. It's a real shame, as you'd expect much higher quality from a traditional inn.

Highly recommended, great value for money, we were impressed by the food, it was very good.

Roast pork was good, but it could have been a bit hotter. It's a shame that there is no sauerkraut or coleslaw left, otherwise everything was great.

That was the best roast pork I've had in the last year! The only negative thing I can say is that you can't climb as much to lose weight in Bavaria as you'd like to eat here!

A beautiful and cozy ambiance in the beer garden under chestnut trees. Friendly and attentive service, excellent food – fitting for a brewery pub, but with a modern twist. We found the prices to be fair. And, of course, they also serve the truly excellent Steiner beer!

Very good Bavarian cuisine. The goulash was great, with two bread dumplings and plenty of sauce. I hope it stays that way. The brewery tour is not to be missed.

We like the beer served in a stein, and we feel the same way about the Bräustüberl. We stopped in for lunch on a bike ride. The hop bratwurst was very good and nicely served with extra sauce. And a beer from the brewery—what more could you want? Oh, and the friendly service was included, and everything was very reasonable.

After the brewery tour, we had dinner at the Bräustüble. The food was quite good and the service very friendly.

We, parents with two children, had a great meal and a good drink there. The service was good, the food was good, and the beer was delicious. The beer goulash was very tasty, although it was quite oily, which made it hard for my stomach. You need something to carry the flavor. The meat was super tender, and the bread dumplings were also delicious. The Obatzda (traditional German sausage) was also excellent, the schnitzel was good, and my son said it was the best currywurst in the world. The price/performance ratio was right 👍

I had a Swiss sausage salad. It didn't taste anything special. The only negative aspects were the many flies in the restaurant and the toilets, which are located in a container in the backyard (I suspect the restrooms in the restaurant are being renovated). The service was a positive; they accommodated all our special requests and were cheerful.

Bräustüberl Stein an der Traun: A feast for the palate! A visit to the beer garden at Bräustüberl Stein an der Traun is an absolute highlight! The gravy was delicious and paired perfectly with the incredibly good meatballs. It was accompanied by a freshly dressed potato and cucumber salad, which rounded off the dish wonderfully. The service was extremely friendly – I will definitely be back! Thank you so much, dear chef, for your magnificent cooking!

The potato and vegetable curry was delicious. The service is friendly, and the beautiful chestnut-lined beer garden offers great outdoor seating. There's plenty of parking.

The absolute worst meal I've ever had. Unfriendly and completely uninterested in hospitality. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Some of the food was burnt and oversalted. Yesterday's fried onions were a real joke. Then they charged full price for the meal, even though it was sent back. I'm still annoyed today. Please, people, avoid this restaurant.

We happened upon this place by chance. The Bräustüberl has a lovely beer garden, and the interior is also traditionally Bavarian. The atmosphere is perfect. The food was excellent (roast pork with a good crust). We received appropriate service. TOP

We've been here twice now, in the beautiful chestnut beer garden, and I have to say I haven't eaten such delicious game dishes in ages.

In any case. They have several types of home brewed beer on tap. Here even the non-alcoholic food tastes great, something I've never experienced before. Of course, it's still a shame not to have a real beer, because you shouldn't miss the light, the dark and, above all, the unfiltered ("Heinz vom Stein", with a slight IPA note). The atmosphere in both the lounge and the beer garden is very nice.

Rural, very friendly, good food, good selection

We drank a few beers and had the schnitzel. It was very tasty and large portions, we were served by a very nice waitress. All in all we will definitely be back. The other guests' food also looked appealing and tasty.

Went there for dinner by chance today. We weren't disappointed. Our roast with two types of dumplings and veal shoulder with spaetzle and vegetables were very good. The meat is very tender. Side dishes also excellent. Price completely okay. And the Steiner beer tastes good anyway. Good food, nice brewery restaurant with very good home-style food.

Unfortunately that was nothing. We came from Ingolstadt and had made reservations for 40 men. Unfortunately the establishment was overcrowded and we were spread out everywhere. Because of the good attendance, drinks waited 20 minutes, food almost 40 minutes. Food was good, unfortunately the plates weren't as full as in the other reviews. The service was friendly, but clearly overwhelmed. We received one drink per guest at the house's expense as compensation for the unsuccessful reservation, but I was disappointed and probably won't be back.

Unfortunately the schnitzel with fries was pounded very thin and cooked in the deep fryer, so not from the pan! I can't recommend it.

Bavarian brewery with a large beer garden

The cheese dumplings were dry and burnt. Little cheese. Only hunger drove me to eat. We had to wait a very long time. Otherwise I would have returned it. Quite high priced.

Very nice beer garden with shady chestnut trees. The service is quick, humorous and brisk. The food was very good. We had onion roast (medium), fish (zander and char, well salted) and braised veal shoulder with (probably) homemade spaetzle.

Cozy beer garden with plenty of shade from the large old trees. Great atmosphere thanks to the massive beer benches made of solid wood. We were served promptly. The typical brewery food was hot and everyone enjoyed it very much. The portions are generous. There are smaller portions especially for children. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

We returned after the brewery tour. As this was early afternoon there was only a reduced menu. The normal menu would only have been available again from 5 p.m. Unfortunately, there were few and almost only the typical dishes on this menu (cheese spaetzle, roast pork, ...). So very meaty. Despite this, each of us found something and we spent a long and fun afternoon there. Many restaurants are no longer open all the time - these are! The price-performance ratio is good, the service was very nice.

A very nicely furnished, cozy Bräustüberl. The waitresses were very friendly and on point. The currywurst and pressed dumplings were a poem. The prices are on the higher side, but you get large portions that are lovingly prepared and pleasing to the eye.

The brewery tour was great, the Steiner wheat beer was great.

Very nice restaurant with delicious Bavarian cuisine. A little more expensive, but the service was very friendly and quick. In the summer they have a very nice beer garden.

Sehr schöne Gaststätte, kenn ich schon seit Kindesbeinen, als ich mit meinem Vater da war - das war noch zu Martinis Zeiten. Seitdem hat sich viel verändert aber ich geh immer wieder gern hin. Dir Bedingungen sind freundlich, das Essen schmeckt und ich fühl mich wohl. Seit dem letztem Pächterwechsel fehlt mir allerdings ein Gericht auf der Speisekarte: der Teufelstoast. Zumindest war der immer sehr sehr lecker und ich bin nicht der Einzige, der ihn auf der Karte vermisst. :)

Wir waren nach Besichtigung der Brauetei und der Höhlenburg im dazu gehörigen Wirtshaus zum wunderbaren bayerischen Mittagessen. Als Hotel würde ich diesen Ort nicht bezeichnen, zumal als Stichwort Biergarten angegeben ist (widersprüchlich!) Keine Ahnung, ob man hier übernachten kann. Wenn ja, dann wird es bestimmt ein Erlebnis.

Super leckeren, ganz zarten Zwiebelrostbraten genossen! Ein Gedicht! Absolut nette Besitzer, sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich! Das Zwickel und das Naturtrübe Radler waren hervorragend! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!

Das Bier ist gut, das Essen eher mittelklasse.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Gasthaus mit Bier aus der nebenan gelegenen Schlossbrauerei Stein. Die Portionen empfanden wir als etwas klein. Hier könnte ruhig ein wenig mehr auf dem Teller sein. Bei der Größe des Gasthauses wäre auch eine Kinderspielecke schön gewesen, die es hier jedoch nicht gibt. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und das Essen ließ auch nicht lange auf sich warten.
