The Flößer Schänke is one of our favorite restaurants! Friendly service and super delicious food! We recommend the Flößer Vesper salad 👍

We had reserved a table for two and had to eat at the counter. We didn't like that; it would have been nice if they had told us this when we made the reservation. We won't be making reservations there again.

Super nicely decorated and the food was really tasty and good prices. We'll be back.

The restaurant was busy on a Sunday evening, but we still managed to get a table for four people plus our dog without a reservation. The food was truly delicious: We had Maultaschen (swabian ravioli), tarte flambée, and a jacket potato with salad, and they even made a small portion of pasta with cheese for our child, which was very thoughtful. The only downside: Unfortunately, we had to wait almost an hour for our food. The service was otherwise friendly and attentive. Overall, a lovely visit; we'd love to come back!

Due to the garden show, it was busy, so we made a reservation online, which worked out great. Despite the large number of guests, the service was very friendly, and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

We were a club group of 18 people who concluded our hiking day at the Flößerschänke. Very friendly staff. No long waits despite the large group. The food arrived at the same time and was delicious. Everyone was very satisfied.

This week we celebrated my son's birthday at the Flößerschänke. We were lucky enough to get a lovely table, and the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. I'd especially like to mention the young woman who served us—she was simply fantastic! The food was delicious and plentiful. Each of us ordered something different, and we were all thrilled with the quality of the food. I highly recommend the Flößerschänke! An all-around wonderful evening!

The food was good, atmosphere was also ok. The problem was in the kitchen , we have waited for our food to come for more then an hour. After asking the waitress the food came few minutes later, and also then one portion was missing... i would not go there again due to this type of service although everything else was nice. Also we asked a dish without a certain ingredient due to allergy and it still came with it. We took it out ourselves because we didn't want to wait any longer.

It had very few vegetarian options, which was quite disappointing. Although we had made a reservation, we were seated in a small room that was noisy because of outside work. The waiter was very kind, but unfortunately did not double-check that the dish I ordered contained meat, which I do not eat.

Really nice service, but we waited over an hour for our food. The pizza arrived burnt, the dough was tasteless and much too hard. The ham and cheese pasta was okay, and the potatoes with egg were very tasty. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant.

The food here is good and tasty. Unfortunately, the service leaves a bit to be desired. The staff is friendly but service is slow. We sat for at least a half hour before they even took our drink orders and we ordered our food and that didn’t show up for at least an hour. Not sure if it’s an issue with the serving staff or perhaps the kitchen is overwhelmed. Still, I would recommend eating here.

Unfortunately, there are no restrooms for people with mobility issues. Access is only possible via a spiral staircase in the basement.

With two children aged 2 and 4, we waited for an hour and a half after ordering without even a piece of bread being brought to us. The food arrived when it was dark, we had to eat with the torches of our phones switched on. We did not even receive a word of apology and no one thought of moving us to one of the tables inside in the light. I don't want to think it was because we were not locals, although I did see locals arrive, eating and leave. No one even knew a word of english.

Rude, disrespectful, and rude. I've never experienced anything like this before. We had a long journey. I booked a table for 2 p.m. for 8 p.m. We were hungry, and my child was with us!! I'm sorry my daughter had to witness and experience this! The woman rudely said she didn't have a table for us, and I was left standing there with the reservation confirmation!! No apology, no attempt to find a solution. I'm speechless!!!!!! Thank goodness we found a great restaurant that evening, and we received a wonderful and friendly welcome. Shame on you!!!!!! This is embarrassing and a disaster...

Hello, we booked at the last minute and easily on the restaurant's website! We were seated on a bench at the bar where we ate excellently! This is the second time we have eaten at this establishment! Recommended and to do again!

A lovely little bar / restaurant serving traditional, homecooked local cuisine and a great range of local beers and wines. A great atmosphere in a brilliantly decorated venue, it's a must if visiting the area. Staff are friendly and helpful, most don't speak English but are very patient with basic German speakers.

We had a very pleasant evening at the Flösserschenke. The dishes, such as salad and meat, were of very good quality, especially the mixed salad, which was super fresh and served with a delicious dressing. Our main meals consisted of various types of meat, which we could prepare at the table on a hot stone, each to our desired degree of doneness. It was a very convivial meal, and we quickly struck up conversations with other guests. The service was very friendly and attentive, and we weren't indirectly pressured to end our evening early, as is the case in some restaurants, because several tables were occupied. It was a thoroughly enjoyable, lovely evening, and the Flösserschenke is definitely on our itinerary for our next visit to Baiersbronn.

We stumbled upon the Flößer-Schänke by chance and were immediately impressed. A lovely restaurant with a rustic beer garden. Friendly staff and truly excellent value for money. We particularly like the wide selection of food. From meat dishes to pizza/baguettes to Maultaschen and Black Forest Vesperbrettl, there's truly something for everyone.

Been there twice. Both meals were excellent. Whether it was Maultaschen (swabian ravioli) or steak, everything was cooked to perfection. Grandma's potato salad was a dream 😘 And the service, for two people, is world-class.

This restaurant is highly recommended. We went there for dinner with two couples. There are numerous seats inside, but there are also very nice outdoor areas. After a slight misunderstanding when choosing a seat, we were served very politely and quickly. The menu is very extensive, and there should be something for every taste. You can tell that someone cooks with passion and skill. Very tasty. The portions are quite large. We chose a variety of dishes, from soup and salad to steak cooked on a hot stone, and everything was excellent. We didn't try the pizza and pasta dishes. The price is very good compared to other local restaurants and is in line with current standards. We were so satisfied that we ate there again the following day and were also very satisfied with the service and food. So it seems that the kitchen and staff are consistently good. Overall, highly recommended.

Excellent food in a rustic, cozy atmosphere. Top-quality meat for the steaks cooked on the hot stone, fresh and varied salads with delicious dressings, and tasty homemade Maultaschen (ravioli). Highly recommended! Due to the busyness, there were some long waits, which is not the fault of the staff. Despite the busyness, the service was very friendly, prompt, and competent.

The food is decent but simple. The salads are soaked in sauce. No large bottle of water. No more dishes made with their famous potatoes at 8 p.m. They also sat us at a large table in the shade when more suitable tables were available. Not a bad experience, but they could have easily done better.

Highly recommended, great surroundings, we sat outside

After years of complete satisfaction, especially with the ham noodles and the best cheese spaetzle for miles around, I was more than disappointed yesterday. The salad was even considerably better than before. But then: the "lamb saddle" on the hot stone turned out to be tough lamb chops, difficult to eat given the limited space and the blunt extra knife. In response to my criticism, the server said she already knew what a lamb saddle looked like and wasn't responsible for purchasing it. I should speak to the manager next time?! No apology, no schnapps or espresso—nothing... A very long wait for the menu and ordering process before my husband alerted us to the counter. It was busy, but not full... But we waited more or less patiently... We'll have cheese spaetzle again next time.

Not recommended. Visit on June 17, 2025. A table for two in the shade that had just become available was supposedly reserved. The only completely overwhelmed, stressed, and unacceptably unfriendly server—apart from the second employee at the counter—sat us at a large table marked "reserved" in the blazing sun. We can't comment on the food. After 20 minutes of waiting in vain for a menu and without even seeing a server from a distance, we informed the bar that the table was free again and that we would find somewhere else serving food and drinks. The reaction to this gave us the impression that it didn't matter, the next guests would surely arrive and the place would be full again. To relieve the burden on the employees, they should either offer fewer tables or switch to self-service à la beer garden.

Great location right by the stream. The waitresses were always friendly and fulfilled all our requests :)!! It was always busy, and the two of them did a really good job.

Simply the best that Baiersbronn has to offer

Outdoor seat cushions were missing. Sitting directly on the plastic rattan was very uncomfortable in the heat. Upon request, they said they were out of seat cushions. The restroom area needs to be renovated. Long-term water damage in the basement appears to be underway. The wall is partially exposed.

Sat us without reservation early in the evening, thank you! Friendly service, great food options, but be prepared because there is no English menu. I used Google lens to take a picture of the menu in order to translate. Dunkel was perfect to enjoy next to the creek.

The tomato soup was a thin, instant broth and inedible. I couldn't understand why something like that was even on the menu. The waitress noticed my less-than-enthusiastic look, reacted in a customer-oriented manner, and removed the soup from the bill. We both had pizza as our main course. It was okay.

When we politely requested a table for two, we were greeted rather rudely, without any effort. Apparently, this is a desert of service, and it's no longer necessary. Then we don't need this 'restaurant' either, and we'd rather spend our hard-earned money elsewhere.

We usually stay in Freudenstadt when we're in the region. Unfortunately, that didn't work out this time, so we ended up in Baiersbronn. We visited the Flößerstube on a recommendation – and were immediately captivated. The atmosphere, the food, everything cried out for a repeat! The food was simply delicious. I had high hopes for this restaurant, especially after making a reservation weeks in advance and confirming that we’d be bringing a puppy. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the experience was deeply disappointing. We were barely welcomed—actually, the reception was outright cold. Despite our prior communication, we were shuffled off to a cramped corner table in the bar area, which felt like an afterthought rather than a prepared space. With a puppy in tow, we expected at least some level of consideration, but it was clear that no one had taken the time to accommodate us properly. What made things worse was the complete lack of attention once we were seated. No one offered us menus, and it felt like we were invisible to the staff. It’s frustrating to be treated like a burden when we had taken all the proper steps ahead of time to ensure a smooth visit. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this visit felt careless and dismissive. Definitely not the kind of hospitality or service I’d expect, and certainly not somewhere I’d recommend to others—especially pet owners.

When we come to Baiersbronn, you are usually on the list. The two of us had a nice table, we were served straight away, the service was very friendly and very attentive with the drinks. The starter soups were a dream, Soon my husband's delicious sausage salad arrived and the side salad for me, very tasty and fresh. The boss's favorite dish was a long time coming; my husband was almost finished with his meal when mine arrived. Since the coffee afterwards was on the house, I won't say anything about my favorite meal. Thank you

So the atmosphere is great. The pizza was super good and the fillet on the hot stone was also great. Unfortunately the salad wasn't that good. So if you love a lot of salad dressing, you will like it. But it was too much for me... half the plate was full of sauce/dressing Still, it's worth a visit.
