Flößer-Schänke Baiersbronn in Baiersbronn

The food was simply sensational and the service first-class. We'd love to come back.

We usually stay in Freudenstadt when we're in the region. Unfortunately, that didn't work out this time, so we ended up in Baiersbronn. We visited the Flößerstube on a recommendation – and were immediately captivated. The atmosphere, the food, everything cried out for a repeat! The food was simply delicious. When we're back in the region – knowing us, it won't be too long – we'll be happy to come back. PS: Many thanks to the "Café Rundblick" for the recommendation.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, especially after making a reservation weeks in advance and confirming that we’d be bringing a puppy. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the experience was deeply disappointing. We were barely welcomed—actually, the reception was outright cold. Despite our prior communication, we were shuffled off to a cramped corner table in the bar area, which felt like an afterthought rather than a prepared space. With a puppy in tow, we expected at least some level of consideration, but it was clear that no one had taken the time to accommodate us properly. What made things worse was the complete lack of attention once we were seated. No one offered us menus, and it felt like we were invisible to the staff. It’s frustrating to be treated like a burden when we had taken all the proper steps ahead of time to ensure a smooth visit. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this visit felt careless and dismissive. Definitely not the kind of hospitality or service I’d expect, and certainly not somewhere I’d recommend to others—especially pet owners.

Super nice atmosphere, very tasty food and friendly service. We went hiking and were looking forward to the sun terrace with delicious salads. With attention to detail when it comes to the decoration and right on the stream - we can absolutely recommend it!

The first four orders (baked potatoes) could no longer be ordered at 7:15 p.m., so they were pre-cooked!!!. Ok but defrosting a baguette and topping it with beefsteak tomatoes that you can't cut or bite...Fourth dish came 15 minutes after the first 3 dishes.

When we come to Baiersbronn, you are usually on the list. The two of us had a nice table, we were served straight away, the service was very friendly and very attentive with the drinks. The starter soups were a dream, Soon my husband's delicious sausage salad arrived and the side salad for me, very tasty and fresh. The boss's favorite dish was a long time coming; my husband was almost finished with his meal when mine arrived. Since the coffee afterwards was on the house, I won't say anything about my favorite meal. Thank you

So the atmosphere is great. The pizza was super good and the fillet on the hot stone was also great. Unfortunately the salad wasn't that good. So if you love a lot of salad dressing, you will like it. But it was too much for me... half the plate was full of sauce/dressing Still, it's worth a visit.

The ambience was absolutely fantastic! The selection on the menu was outstanding and made it very difficult to decide. The food was also extremely tasty! The service was very friendly, although on a busy Saturday evening we had to wait some time until our first order was taken. Ordering something to drink again proved to be extremely complicated, as little attention was paid to our table in between. Nevertheless, I would go again because the selection and the food were really TOP!

Food selection is rather limited. But the quality was very good. We really liked the space in a bay window.

Very nice, rustic, but modernly designed restaurant. The meal was excellent. I had the goulash soup and the homemade Maultaschen. Both dishes were very tasty. My wife had the Maultaschen salad, which was also very tasty. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted very good. The portions were almost impossible to manage, even with a large dog. Simply put, the restaurant is recommended. Nice service, good cuisine and great ambience.

If you like good food, then the Flösserschänke is the right place for you. Great food at reasonable prices. We've been coming there for years and the quality has never diminished. If it's full, you just have to wait a bit. But that's the case everywhere.

We were looking for a good restaurant for our last holiday evening and ended up at the Flößer-Schänke based on recommendations. The guest room is modern and beautifully furnished. The service was good and the food was very tasty. The portions of the dishes were large and the side salads were exceptionally tasty. A very clear recommendation for anyone who likes good cuisine. Reservations are recommended and, unlike in older reviews, card payment is possible at the time of our visit. Gladly again! We felt comfortable.

When we go on holiday in Baiersbronn, we only eat at the Flößer-Schänke. Price performance absolutely ok, good service, very good taste.

Absolutely recommended!!! We each ate meat from the hot stone. Awesome, so delicious 😋 😋 😋 We are already looking forward to our next stay in the Black Forest and will be happy to come back. Anyone who would like to go there, be sure to reserve in advance. Otherwise you have little or no chance of getting a table.

One of our best restaurants in Germany ☺️ Very attentive service, and very good and plentiful dishes, with great attention paid to homemade food. The little salad with the Käsespätzle was great! The interior space is well arranged with its different alcoves. For the summer, the little decoration on the terrace looked super nice.

The Maultauschen made from melted onions and the accompanying potato salad (vinegar) for €16.50 were very tasty. 0.33L Cola €3.60. So a total of €21.10.

Beautiful restaurant that has retained its original charm in a beautiful agricultural setting. We are currently on vacation and had a very nice evening here. From the service to the food, everything without any “complaints”. Great service, fast, nice service. Children very welcome. We'd love to come back.

The food was very good. We had a flamenkuchen which they added an extra ingredient we asked for and the Haus salad was amazing (very big and top quality). The ambience and decor is very comfy. We were waiting a while to get served, it was busy, and the 2 girls there were non stop, a great place for straightforward food and good beer.

Unfortunately, the pizza base was mostly too soft, the toppings were OK. It's better to eat pizza at an Italian restaurant. The other food tasted perfect.

Just great! We always visit the Flößer-Schänke when we are here. Everyone will find something on this menu. Everything very tasty! A highlight is the meat from the hot stone. Personally, I love the Schupfnudeln with spinach, I have to eat it at least once on our short vacations - including today. Staff are always very friendly, quick - it couldn't be better. Ambience, inside and outside, very nice. In short...there is nothing to complain about!!!! 😀

After a few closures in the area, the Flößer-Schänke is undisputedly our favorite restaurant in Baiersbronn. The restaurant itself and the beer garden are attractively designed. The service is usually attentive, but it is usually very busy, so sometimes you have to wait a little bit until you can order or be served. All in all, however, you get the impression that they try to provide good service at all times and the employees are always friendly. The food was delicious, there is a lot of choice. There are also numerous local specialties on offer. I recommend reserving a table (far) in advance - even during the week. The location is very popular and highly frequented.

At that time I was a regular at Flöerstube in Baiersbronn. The food was always really fresh and tasted great. I don't think the kitchen checked, otherwise the bistro wouldn't be there anymore. I look forward to my next visit to Baiersbronn

Nice beer garden atmosphere, tastefully decorated. Long waiting times for drinks. We had tarte flambée and pizza. Flammkuchen was more of a pizza, thick dough and overloaded with cheese. Pizza also thick dough, taste ok. Overall, waiting times were long and the restaurant was far from full.

Tip, top! The location for tourists where the locals also go! Gladly again!

Beautiful guest garden, inviting pub. Friendly, friendly and attentive service. However, if there are good visitors, waiting times must be accepted. The extensive menu should leave nothing to be desired, and the quality of the dishes on offer can only be praised. Service very bad. Schänke wasn't even half full. 2 waitresses plus the boss were running around, but we still had to wait over 30 minutes for a drink. Walked past me 5 times to neighboring tables because I forgot my cutlery, forgot my card...

Great place for good local food and beer at very reasonable prices. Nice seating outside and in. Close enough to town to walk from the hotels there.

We had a great dinner. For a spontaneous visit you have to be lucky, it's better to make a reservation. The food was very good and despite the huts being full, the food and drinks were delivered quickly. I can recommend the store with a clear conscience.

After a long hike, the perfect place to get a hearty and honest meal. The goulash soup was a poem and the homemade Maultaschen were perfect. I don't know if it was because I was very hungry, but at that moment the food was a real revelation. Incredibly delicious. The service was also very nice and the prices were absolutely right.

The venue and decoration show a lot of attention to detail and the individual areas of the restaurant are also beautifully designed. The outside area is very nice. The starters (two soups) were very tasty and you can taste that they were homemade. The only flaw is the meat, which is unfortunately brought to the table already seasoned. As a meat lover, I like the pure taste and seasoning with just a little salt or pepper after roasting. Leider wurde das Fleisch mit einer scharfen trocken Marinade vorgewürzt. Wenn man kein scharf möchte ist das leider etwas schade. No criticism, but asking briefly before serving increases the enjoyment of eating even more.

I'm torn... It's great if something is open on a holiday. Not good if the staff is overwhelmed. Not good at all. Yes, it's stressful in service, but you shouldn't let that show... And snarky comments when the guest asks for additional garlic on the pizza, that's not possible either. The pizza was ok, looked like a ready-made crust, toppings ok. Unfortunately, the many onions that were supposed to be on the menu were not there. The ambience is rustic, consistent with the location. There is a large selection, but there is little for vegetarians. Yes, there are cheese spaetzle. I can't see anymore. The most uncreative veggie dish of this time. I wouldn't go...

Food was great, we had tomato soup as a starter, which tasted very fresh and chicken soup was also very tasty. As a main course we had salami pizza, made free of charge and it tasted great. And very pleasant conversation with the waitresses

Reserved for 4 p.m., you get in trouble like a little child if you get there 5 minutes early and sit outside. Specialty: Steak on a hot stone. There wasn't any, neither normal steak nor the hot stone, they said it would take at least 1 hour. It took an hour for our ordered food to arrive. The tarte flambée was raw, the pizza was a thawed one, raw inside, even after we asked for it to be baked again. We'll never come back!
