Wunderschöner Kastanienbiergarten, gute heimische Küche, guter Service

Das vegetarische Angebot war sehr dürftig.

Das Ambiente im Biergarten war sehr schön. Das Gulasch jedoch leider furchtbar. Das Fleisch zäh wie Schuhsohle und geschmacklich hat das Rind sehr alt geschmeckt, bereits beim Riechen an dem Gericht konnten wir einen penetranten Kuhgeruch feststellen. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war untere Mittelklasse, das Fleisch war etwas zäh und durchwachsen. Wir hatten vor diesem Besuch gute Erinnerungen an die Küche im Peterhof, wurden aber leider sehr enttäuscht.

Wir waren vorgestern dort und ich war wirklich komplett geflasht,von dem schönen Ambiente! Katzen gehören auch dazu ,was ich sehr schön fand. Der Service war sehr freundlich und man hat wirklich gemerkt,das der Fokus auf dem Gast liegt ...wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Ich habe wirklich noch nie so einen schönen Biergarten gesehen🤩🥰😍

Eine schöne Gaststätte vorallem für Kinder,da draußen ein Spielplatz ist und Tiere zum Ansehen und streicheln! Die Bedienungen waren freundlich aber unorganisiert, waren sich nicht einig! Essen war gut!

Es war der Geburtstag meiner Mutter,also viel Familie und bunt gemischt von 1 bis 80 Jahren! Das Essen war für alle Personen perfekt!

Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Abend in diesem Restaurant. Schon beim Betreten fühlt man sich willkommen, das Ambiente ist gemütlich und stilvoll zugleich. Das Essen war hervorragend – alle Gerichte waren frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich perfekt abgestimmt und sehr schön angerichtet. Besonders begeistert hat uns die Qualität der Zutaten, die man bei jedem Bissen gemerkt hat. Auch der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Unsere Wünsche wurden schnell und unkompliziert erfüllt. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis mit sehr gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können das Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

The food was very good, but unfortunately the service was curt when we asked questions.

I came here because of other reviews and wasn't disappointed. The menu lists lots of delicious food. The service was very friendly and the prices were definitely reasonable. We were there with two children, and they were treated with great care. I often experience things differently with small children, where they're sometimes seen as a nuisance. Not here.

The forest inn currently (11/25) offers a separate menu featuring only game dishes in addition to its regular menu. I had the wild boar roast with nut spaetzle, vegetables, and ginger marmalade. The dish was worth every single cent of its €22.30. I've rarely eaten so well!

A wonderful place to experience Bavarian coziness and hospitality. The food was very good, as were the liqueurs and beers. We felt extremely comfortable.

High-quality German cuisine. Here, you can indulge in culinary delights at reasonable prices and receive friendly service. The large beer garden is, of course, a big hit in the summer.

It was a truly lovely evening; we had such delicious food and the drinks were perfect. However, our wild camping was spoiled by a neighbor who said the access road was "private." So we had to move the car late in the evening and drive to the nearby hiking parking lot.

A wonderful destination; we went there yesterday with friends for dinner. First in the gorgeous beer garden, then, due to a heavy downpour, inside. Everything was lovingly and invitingly decorated. We had the roast suckling pig and the roast beef with bread dumplings and salad, and each finished with an ice cream sundae; everything was delicious. Very, very nice service; our waitress was so sweet, friendly, super attentive, and quick. We then took home several slices of cake and a glass of Leberkäse, also very delicious. Our friends were there for the first time and absolutely loved it. We'll definitely be back, and next time with the kids and grandchildren, as there's also a lovely playground for the kids. In short, simply a fantastic location.

A fantastic beer garden, with a shaded outdoor area filled with citrus fruits. The service is very pleasant, even for a non-German speaker. The food is delicious and the setting is magnificent.

We've been here several times and have always found a table. The service is friendly and quick. The food is good and plentiful, but not exceptional. There are plenty of seats outside, but reservations aren't possible. The parking lot is large, but fills up quickly when it's busy. In summary: a nice restaurant with good food and good service. Prices are a bit high, but still reasonable.

Cozy beer garden Friendly service

I haven't had such a wonderful pot roast beef in a long time as I did yesterday at Peterhof. The roast beef with onions and the radler salad are also highly recommended. Compliments to the kitchen! Beautiful beer garden, friendly service, and delicious food—what more could you want?

Super delicious wild boar roast! Everyone else was happy too.

We had dinner at the Peterhof. The food was excellent, even exceptionally good. We were able to sit outside. We were surrounded by exotic plants (parrot flower, bananas, etc.). The price was also reasonable. The service was fast, and the food arrived promptly – just as you would expect from a good restaurant. We would gladly return.

We were at my mother's 90th birthday party, and even though there were three communions at the same time, the food and drinks arrived quickly. The food was delicious, and, as rarely happens, I didn't quite manage to finish it.

Yes, unfortunately not as good as hoped. I would give it 3.5 stars. Okay. The bread with the sausage was great. The soot was thin and warm. The salad was seasoned strangely. The orange soda seemed to be lacking carbonation.

We went there twice: last summer and this spring. The setting is really pleasant. The service is friendly and professional. The cuisine is very good there. The dishes are well presented. There is a nice choice of excellent cakes. For children: farm animals nearby, sandbox, large slide, swings. It's perfect for having a good time with the family.

The food was top as always. Unfortunately the service is getting worse and worse. Despite reserving a table, we had to wait. The food came quickly compared to the drinks. After eating we sat in front of our empty glasses and plates for over 30 minutes. There was no service in the room. It was no different for other guests either.

We were in the very nice and cozy beer garden, as we often do. We had brawn, cheese and ham platter, very tasty and sufficient. Prices are absolutely right because you are served there and don't have to get it yourself. Staff very friendly and there is enough parking space. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos. We always enjoy coming back.

The food was very good, but unfortunately our orders were forgotten several times. What is very interesting is the bird cage with various budgies

The peterhof is a very nice place outside and inside with very nice staff. What particularly caught our attention was a young brown-haired waitress who always served us very attentively. I would also like to say a lot of praise to the chefs, who always prepare the food to perfection. So far the peterhof has been one of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of visiting☺️

By the way, the 2 service staff were simply “great” thanks for the good hospitality and a nice greeting to the kitchen. A very good and perfectly located excursion restaurant for the family to eat and relax. The selection is very large, there is something for everyone on the menu. the service is Fast and reliable, even special requests are implemented, always with a friendly smile on your face. We were eating on a rainy Sunday, the place was very full, everything went well, we certainly won't be there for the last time.

This was our second time eating outdoors here. The food is very tasty, beautifully prepared and sometimes served on beautiful plates. Unfortunately, I'm writing this review because of the red-headed waitress who served us both times. We weren't greeted at the beginning and were only asked for drinks with a quiet "please". When ordering the food you felt the same reluctance and disinterest. In general, ordering a different side dish is not welcome and you immediately think that you have asked the wrong thing. It was also served with an unhygienic cloth around the lady's wrist, which did not stimulate the appetite. The fries were served with a tablespoon? No ketchup or mayo or salt and pepper were brought. However, we didn't ask because the food was great. Nevertheless, this should go without saying. During and after the meal we were no longer noticed or asked whether everything was okay or whether the food was tasty (same service). From what I've heard or seen from the other tables, I can guess the good reviews for the service that usually prevails. Of course, after checking out, the same service person didn't say goodbye to us. Unfortunately, we just felt like a source of income. The food and the ambience with a playground are very inviting.

I was in the forest restaurant for the first time on September 1st, 2024 with three friends. A very nice beer garden under big trees and I can write that the service, the ambience and the dishes were very good. I am a repeat offender!

Had dinner today and made reservations at the restaurant. The weather was nice and we wanted to go to the beer garden with 17 people instead. The waitress was very friendly and helped us rearrange the tables. Despite the full beer garden, great service and very tasty food. Great new beer garden under chestnut trees. Doesn't get any better.

Positive: Unique ambience close to nature. Service friendly Negative: Unfortunately the food was poor. The onion soup for 6.20 euros was oversalted and a very small portion. The large salad with salmon for 17.80 with a lot of ready-made products (coleslaw, beans) without fresh tomatoes and far too much lettuce. The taste of the deer was unacceptable (fatty fibers and tough). The sauce also cannot be defined and has a weak taste. Probably heavily stretched packet sauce. Conclusion: If you were to offer reasonably acceptable quality food in this unique atmosphere, you would have a recommendable restaurant. It's definitely worth a visit just to have a drink (bike tour).
