Amazing meal excellent food 5 star service. Best meal experience in a long time . Sadly no such places in London . Met with Julia komp amazing talent .
Kettner’s Kamota in Essen-Werden has established itself as a culinary highlight and was awarded a Michelin star in 2023. Chef Jürgen Kettner combines Austrian cuisine with Asian influences to create an innovative concept called “New Austrian”.
The menu offers a seasonal tasting menu with four or six courses as well as a tavern menu with classics such as fried chicken and Kaiserschmarrn.
All dishes are characterized by creative combinations.
Kettner’s Kamota is a must for foodies who appreciate innovative cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.
Would like to put a star in the top everywhere. Culinary art is interpreted as I would like it to be for many others. Casual, brilliant, to the point, and that from everyone involved!!!!!!!
Cheers!!!!👍
It's been a long time since I've eaten something so tasty.
Every course is a taste experience and so beautifully presented.
Very nice, friendly staff and a very nice atmosphere.
We would love to come back 😊
They say you shouldn't celebrate the new too much before you've properly digested the old. But in the case of Restaurant 1789, I throw this wise principle overboard - with the same elegance with which a plate is served there.
It is a culinary state act – a sensual ceremony on porcelain. The kitchen? Modern, yes. Innovative, certainly. But it's so sophisticated and subtle that you almost think the chef has been secretly studying in the Far East, with a wok in one hand and a microscope in the other.
Asian influences dance lightly across the palate, embedded in a European attitude, garnished with a pinch of daring.
Well, it wouldn't be honest if I didn't mention that a visit there isn't exactly like a stroll through a weekly market - more like a trip to the opera house of culinary delights. With entrance fee. But if you value quality, creativity and a little theater on your plate, you won't regret your visit.
In short: If you have taste, courage and a good pair of shoes - because this menu will take you far away inside - you should definitely visit 1789.
And to those who shy away from the price, this is what I say:
“You can’t expect a masterpiece and only pay for a sketchbook.”
Perfekt !
Incredibly creative, harmoniously composed dishes, very exciting taste experiences. Excellent wine accompaniment. Perfect service in a pleasant atmosphere. Deserves more than 1 star
Very beautiful architecture and stylish interior design. We enjoyed very good gluten-free patisserie and great Sachertorte with this great view of the Aussenalster. A true gem of the hotel industry!
The food was excellent but for our taste it was sometimes a bit random. Very nice service and interesting wine accompaniment, sometimes the explanations were a bit brief.
Es war einfach nur grandios- von dem Empfang bis zur Verabschiedung.
Ein herzliches Pärchen, was nicht nur beim Service sondernd auch in der Küche höchste Qualität erreicht!!
Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!!
A very beautiful location for a wedding celebration. The service is very friendly. The food and drinks are excellent. The ambiance is modern. A wedding can be celebrated here in the open air. Civil and non-denominational ceremonies are possible.
