On a trip to the Harz and looking for a restaurant, the path led us past the hotel 🙂 we were very impressed by the very friendly service and the food - the almond trout was very good and the venison goulash was also very good. We'd love to come by again. Thank you

Large portions, tasty, the drinks are really a bit borderline, 6.00 euros for a 0.4 liter of cola, add 4 euros then you get a whole box. Too bad. On the other hand, a beer 🍺 4.50 euros

We have been customers of this place for more than five years. We have always enjoyed the tasty food, but the customer service, especially during lunchtime, is getting worse. It has reached a point where some of the waiters have started using completely unprofessional language (unkind words, shouting, taking unreasonably long times to respond even when the restaurant is empty). More than three times, we had to leave the restaurant after waiting over 20 minutes with no interaction for lunch, no questions asked. Today, after very bad service and good food again :), I am calling it quits on this place.

We were passing through the city of Bamberg. Late in the evening we ran through the beautiful city. Everything was already closed. We saw this pub working in passing. Delicious beer. Friendly and hospitable staff. Thank you for the mood and delicious food for travelers. Good clients and prosperity to you!!!

Authentic old pub with the best chop I've eaten in a long time

The food at Borchard was super tasty and of good quality. The staff is very friendly and always there if you need anything. We will definitely visit the restaurant again.

Unfortunately it was really bottom drawer, the food was more like that... Mhm I could also buy a ready-made dish and heat it up, you can die of thirst there if you don't know how to help yourself out loud and at least have a little patience... Just a shame... Cleaning of the place also left a lot to be desired, I was happy to have disinfectant wipes for the toilet for my kids.

Everything fits together in this location. Very competent, cozy and tasty. No need to say more. Always my pleasure.

Since we didn't stay overnight, only the restaurant is included in the rating. A perfect combination of classic German and Indian cuisine. We are always surprised at how delicious the food is here! The picture is rounded off by very friendly service. We would love to come back and give it 12 out of 10 points!

We had an appointment there with 6 people on Boxing Day (December 26th, 2023) and had previously ordered a table that was not set when we arrived. The menu consisted of 5-6 dishes and the food supply was almost exhausted by 3 p.m. In any case, there were no fries with mayo and 1-2 other dishes. The food we ordered was somehow scraped together, or at least that's what it looked like on the plate later. The portions were small and it was definitely way too expensive. We paid around €360 for the boring meal + a few drinks. 360€!!! An unforgettable day. There was no Christmas spirit left. Even the effects of the drink were no longer in the mood and didn't affect us. If I had known this beforehand, I would have donated the money to a charitable organization instead of throwing it down the landlord's throat. Totally annoying! The toilets were dingy and outdated, like so much of the Adler. Workflows simply seemed unstructured and unprofessional. The waiter somehow made an effort and his overwhelm and discomfort were written all over his face, even though it was dead. At the same time, you could clearly observe the disappointed reactions and shaking of the heads of the other guests. Even an older woman passing by swore and told us about the store. Well, I'll leave it at this for now and won't go any further. Conclusion: A super unpleasant stay! We neither got full nor did we leave the store “happy and satisfied” - quite the opposite. Absolutely not recommended!

Today we were on a stopover at the guild hall. When we came in and asked for a seat because it was apparently very full, the employee rudely told us that we should see if there was anything available. We had to wait over 40 minutes before we could order something because the service seemed to be completely overwhelmed. Only after another employee came did things get better. This younger employee was also responsible for us and she was also super nice. After a total of about 1.5 hours we got our food, and not even completely. The fried potatoes took longer than the rest. The employee apologized several times for that. The food itself was very good, but the service and the friendliness of certain people should be reconsidered.
