Sind mit zwei kl.Hunden angereist .Zimmer kann man nicht beschreiben so dreckig Spinnweben u Spinnen an der Decke verteilt Die Betten von Haaren übersät . Die Bettdecke aus dem 18 Jahrhundert mit Beton gefüllt einfach alles sehr dreckig der Toilettendeckel war total eklig und sowas von dreckig .Das Bad war so dreckig .Wir haben dort nicht übernachtet .Wir haben uns beschwert und wollten es der Betreiberin zeigen das wurde abgelehnt sie ist alleine ins Zimmer gegangen und meinte das wäre doch nichts außer ein bisschen Staub im Bad .Mit uns a gereist sind noch zwei Pärchen eins davon hat danach irgendwo anders übernachtet und das andere Pärchen ist direkt am nächsten Tag abgereist .Wir haben dort nicht übernachtet wollten kein Ungeziefer mit nach Hause nehmen . Und dafür auch noch 90 Euro zu verlangen frech . Wir.werden das aufjeden fall melden und weiter geben sowas muß man einfach schließen . Den einen Stern mußte ich geben aber der ist noch zuviel

Essen war sehr gut und die Preise angemessen. Eine Radtour dorthin gemacht, ideal zum Einkehren auch nur für etwas zu trinken.Gerne wieder

Einfach traumhaft - eine Reise in die Vergangenheit - zum durchatmen

Wir waren 2 Nächte in der Pension und sind vorzeitig abgereist weil es derart schmutzig war, dass wir nicht bleiben wollten. Es war alles staubig und schon lange nicht mehr gereinigt, im Bad konnte man nur in die Dusche wenn man über das WC steigt. Die Duschwände waren extrem schmutzig und schimmlig. Schimmel und Dreck an den Fenstern. Der Holzfußboden wurde ebenfalls schon lange nicht mehr gereinigt. Kostenpunkt trotz abgelegener Lage für 2 Personen OHNE frühstück 95 Euro pro Nacht. Untragbar. Auf Nachfrage, bei der Wirtin, ob sie das noicht unangemessen findet bekamen wir keine Antwort. Auf keinen Fall zu empfhelen. Soll früher schön gewesen sein. Heute nicht mehr. Neuer Rezesionen wurden anscheinen gelöscht.

Historische Gasthaus. Mit Biergarten. Urig eingerichtet. Reed gedecktes Haus .

Lecker gegessen. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und gemütlich im Biergarten gesessen.

Außen Gastronomie. Freundliche und nette Bedienung. Sehr leckeres Essen. Dem Außenplatz würde etwas Pflege gut tun.

Kartoffelpüree aus der Tüte, dafür brauche ich nicht essen gehen. Bedienung war auch nicht gerade die Prinzessin der Herzen. Mit dem Radler das hat auch nicht geklappt, die Limo wurde aber nachgereicht. Ambiente sehr schön

Tolles Lokal, sehr freundliches Personal

Sehr Familien Freundlich, gemütliche Pangsion mit allem ausgestattet. Gasthof top Essen großes Lob sn die Köchin und dem Koch und auch an das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich sogar ,wenn viel zutuhen ist nehmen sie sich Zeit für jedes Anliegen. Man muss dort gewesen sein . Super schön da top

Idealer Ort für eine Pause während einer Wanderung oder Radtour. Aber auch zum Nachmittagskaffee oder Abendessen ein gemütlicher Gasthhof zum Verweilen.

Frühstück mir einer Gruppe genossen.

Wir haben super lecker gegessen. Das Lokal ist fantastisch. Schön ruhig, aber mit typisch deutscher Gemütlichkeit.

Sehr schöner alter Gasthof in toller Lage mit kleiner schattiger Außenterrasse und gemütlichen Innenbereich. Der Wintergarten bietet auch größeren Gruppen ausreichend Platz. Essen lecker, Services freundlich und familiär. Bei unserer Radtouren immer ein Ziel!

Es ist sehr urig dort. Man fühlt sich in eine andere Zeit versetzt. Wer soetwas liebt muß unbedingt mal vorbeikommen. Essen war top!

Essen war sehr lecker. Ich finde es dort sehr gemütlich. Keren dort immer ein wenn wir mit dem Rad in der Gegend sind. Leider sind sie auch vom Personalmangel betroffen und es kann etwas dauern. Aber toll.

Waren zum Frühstück mit Freunden hier..Wir haben für 10 Uhr einen Tisch zum Frühstücken reserviert und kamen pünktlich an einen reich gedeckten Tisch. Viele Wurst und Käse Sorten. Für jeden ein Frühstücksei , viele Brötchen und Brot Sorten. Das Ambiente, gemütlich und kuschelig. Danach einen ausgedehnten Spaziergang im Wald und Wiesen. Einfach entspannend.

Endlich mal wieder ein Kuchen wie früher - so lecker und dann auf so einem schönen Service

Leider hat dieses sehr hübsche Lokal stark nachgelassen! Oft bedienen hier Schüler, denen man anmerkt, daß es keinen Spaß macht. Letzte Woche habe ich mich im Lokal gemeldet, daß ich gern draußen im Biergarten einen Kaffee trinken möchte! Ich bekam den Kommentar: bringe ich raus, aber als ich nach 15 Minuten niemanden sah und Kaffee auch nicht hatte, bin ich dann gegangen. Mir fielen auch die abgenutzt und teilweise!schmutzigen Sitzkissen auf. Schade, es war einmal ein Geheimtipp!

Wir waren Sonntags zufällig hier gelandet und hatten Glück, einen netten 4er Tisch zu bekommen. Das Ambiente ist echt urig. Ich bestellte mit meinem Partner "Rouladen mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat". Das Gericht war mit 16,50 Euro eher preiswert...dafür servierte man uns leider Convenience Rolladen (aus der Dose?), Bratkartoffeln und Salat waren okay. Daher hat mich die Küche leider nicht überzeugt.

Urgemütlich ,leckere Speisen wunderschönes Ambiente.

1 Punkt gibt es nur für den freundlichen Kellner, der uns bedient hat. Leider waren alle anderen Kellner / Mitarbeiter SEHR unfreundlich. Wir wurden schon am Empfang sehr unfreundlich begrüßt, dann wurde uns auch wieder mal sehr unfreundlich und bestimmend mitgeteilt, dass wir nicht in dem Garten sollen, obwohl die Terrassentür offen war, schließen sollten wir diese auch nicht. Wir haben es auch offen dem Kellner kommuniziert und mitgeteilt, dass wir uns nicht Willkommen gefühlt haben! Das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis fanden wir auch überhaupt nicht angemessen. Wir haben für 2 Erwachsene & 2 Kleinkinder (2&3jahre alt) für ein vegetarisches Frühstück 40 € gezahlt (das Brot war überhaupt nicht frisch!). Es gab keinen Quark oder ähnliches. Die Brötchen waren warm und lecker. Wirklich sehr schade, dass wir sonst mal gelegentlich zum Frühstücken im Timmermanns waren.

The service is okay, and so are the drinks. The food could be better...especially the fried potatoes are swimming in oil, and the portion sizes...whether it's schnitzel, brawn, or meatloaf...we're not big eaters...but it was manageable.

Ideal for a bike ride, even in the afternoon.

This review refers only to the guesthouse. We didn't use the restaurant during our stay, but simply stayed in a family room with our daughter for two nights. For €105 per night, we expect a better standard. The bathtub drain doesn't close. The soap dispenser is broken. The mattress has been sagging for a while... The room is also very dusty. The fact that everything is showing its age doesn't detract from the overall impression. The hospitality is reduced to the bare minimum. In short, we wouldn't come again.

Delicious cake, fast service, romantic decor

We had reserved a room by phone and were supposed to meet the manager at 2 p.m. on the day of arrival as it was actually a day off. When we arrived, the manager wasn't there and nobody knew about our reservation. We were then shown to a room with completely outdated furniture. The worst part was that it was dirty. Just like the bathroom. We then went to the man who showed us there and complained. We were told that my wife would be there shortly and it would be taken care of. Unfortunately, when we got to our room that night, we discovered that nothing had been done at all. I'm certainly not making a fuss, but that was absolutely terrible!!! Never, never again! Even if the furniture is old and it was an alternative room because they couldn't find our reservation, I still demand cleanliness!

Insider tip. We felt like we were at my grandma's.

We just wanted to eat a little something. You had to try to find new drinks. The scrambled eggs were boring and very natural, the roasted aromas predominated in the bacon. No bread was served with the ham platter. When asked, this was denied, but later it was apparently forgotten in the kitchen. The two waiters tried hard, were friendly, but overwhelmed. The owner should make improvements. Card payment with EC and credit card not possible. We were very disappointed.

The whole store was empty.. a separate room was cordoned off and we were sent away with 5 people.

The service was very courteous and friendly. The food tasted good and the portion was reasonable for the price. The prices in the menu have not currently changed, there is a note here that the actual cost of the dish can be found on the receipt. Or the waitress, who doesn't know the prices, asks for the current price for the individual dishes before ordering. I've never experienced anything like this before.

A lovely place for a relaxing break.

We've been stopping here for years after a hike. Unfortunately, the food is getting worse and worse. The fried potatoes were inedible the other day. The friendliness has also declined considerably. It's a shame, I don't like to criticize.

I ordered cream mushroom schnitzel. The meat and salad were good. The sauce had not seen any cream and it was mixed from the bag. The champions were from the can. It was supposed to cost €16.50 and at the checkout the dish cost €18. When I asked, I was told that there would be notes in the menu in the form of inserted sheets indicating that the prices would be higher. I didn't have a note, neither did my friends. Then they should overdraw the prices with a sharpie, then there won't be any misunderstandings.

An old, very rustic building. The decor in the restaurant matches the ambiance. The food was excellent, with some regional specialties, and even the small plates were large enough. The prices are reasonable and the service was very friendly. In the summer, there is a lovely beer garden and a converted barn for larger events. A great place to stop for a refreshing drink, coffee and cake, or ice cream on a bike ride or afternoon stroll.

We went there for breakfast. Unfortunately, we received a very unfriendly welcome and felt as if we weren't welcome. When we asked for an orange juice, it was placed on a neighboring table without any indication that we could help ourselves. A real shame. Nice place, but poor service.

We ate at the inn for a birthday celebration. We received a warm welcome and had a wonderful evening. The food was very good – a fresh side salad, delicious fried potatoes, and a very tender, delicious roulade. The schnitzel and steak were also very good. The service was also good. We would be happy to come back.

Didn't get a seat even though many tables were free. Apparently all reserved. Owner quite unfriendly. It's a shame, I used to love going there often. the nice atmosphere and good food.

I don't understand how you can make fried potatoes in the deep fryer. It's so easy, slice the jacket potatoes and put them in the pan Onions, bacon ready. Schnitzels also turn out better in the pan.

Were here for the 3rd time in 3-4 years. There were no changes in the house. The food was now very poor and not particularly tasty. From our point of view, we also had to save money on breakfast. The next time we stop over on holiday in France, we will definitely look for somewhere else to stay.

Unfriendly, incompetent, unkempt.

Wir haben mit Freunden eine Fahrradtour gemacht und 2 Nächte bei timmermans übernachtet. Es waren 2 wunderschöne Tage. Wunderschöne Zimmer mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, das Frühstück liebevoll vorbereitet und qualitativ hervorragend. Vielen Dank an die Familie Timmermans . Wir kommen bestimmt.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience like yesterday. I understand the lack of staff etc., but since we were successfully ignored for almost 20 minutes on the terrace after we sat down, even though food and drinks were brought to the next table, it was very disappointing. Orders were taken for guests who arrived later, so we ended up leaving the location without eating anything. Too bad.

Delicious apple strudel and great schnitzel

Kwaliteit van het eten is erg slecht geworden terwijl de prijzen minimaal 2 Euro duurder zijn geworden. Al vaker hier wezen eten maar de schnitzel en cordon blue zijn van een ander soort vlees EN kleiner. Ook was de bijgevoegde saus heel ver onder de maat. De prijs van de gerechten is ook maar gokken want die kloppen niet meer met de menukaart. Kortom, wij en onze familie komen er nooit meer terug!

Bar has gone bad, different quality meat, smaller portions, mushroom cream sauce not edible. Prices on the menu are incorrect, everything has become at least 2 Euro more expensive. Very unfriendly manageress.

The food was OK. Room booked, confirmation received and canceled shortly before the appointment supposedly due to a computer error when booking. There were 5 people there 4 times, but dealing with “regular customers” like that is not possible at all. And I think it won't happen again at Timmermanns because we found other places to stay in Wassenburg and everything was great and there's no comparison with the food and accommodation at Timmermanns. So clearly not a recommendation for Timmermann

At 7:45 p.m., after waiting 15 minutes for the room key to be handed over, I asked if I could order something else to eat. Answer: at most fried potatoes with salmon and salad! I accepted and got salted fried potatoes, with 1 slice of salmon and 2 lettuce leaves. I asked for bread and received 2 mini slices. -The accommodation is like a museum. Bathroom with shower curtain with mildew stains, shelf on the sink rusty. In June >Bed linen with feathers, fitted sheet with hole! But the worst thing was the unfriendly, cold manner that Mrs. and Mr. Timmermans used towards me. At breakfast I was greeted by a young woman with her arms crossed!!! Armen asked if everything was okay! I said yes and thought that criticizing is pointless here! The shooting brothers who entered the inn shortly after me were even treated to scrambled eggs. I wasn't offered that either! I will never stay there again!

Nice restaurant The rooms are beautiful inside and out. I've eaten there twice in the last 6 weeks, a schnitzel and a steak dish. Unfortunately, both were slightly disappointing. The side salads were quite small, the meat dish was presented quite sparingly on the platter, and the steak was served with tendons. Overall disappointing.

For years we met once a year with several people at Timmermanns for two days. Drinked, ate, celebrated and sometimes even spent the night there. The hostess was never overly friendly, but the atmosphere was cozy and the service was ok. .We had already booked two double rooms for this year last year, and we have received written confirmation from the hostess. But she doesn't want to know anything about it anymore. Although we sent the written confirmation, we were told succinctly and not at all friendly in a rude tone that the bookings were void. Unfortunately, we can only shake our heads at such behavior. Never again !

We sat outside in the small courtyard. It is cozy and lovingly furnished. We "only" had a piece of cake each but it was so delicious - homemade, you could taste it. Prices okay, friendly and attentive service.

Nice little inn. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, as soon as we entered the restaurant, an older lady (boss?) greeted us. gives the feeling that you are not necessarily welcome. I can only describe the inn here (it doesn't have much to do with "guest") since we weren't in the hotel. On our first visit we were very impressed with the facilities. Everything is very comfortably furnished. I treated myself to a piece of apple pie. Very tasty, but also very expensive. Of course we wanted to go there again for coffee with the family on Sunday. This time, however, it was supposed to be a piece of sheet cake, much cheaper. I said to my wife beforehand that they would definitely say, "Sheet cake is over." That's exactly how it was. We then had the apple pie with cream again. The portion of cream was beyond outrageous. She was gone with the first bite. Despite everything, I wanted to celebrate my birthday there. I made an appointment with the owner by phone. She agreed with my wish to seat the group, 12 of us, in the winter garden. So far so good. When we arrived there on the said date, the winter garden was already occupied. When I asked if we had booked the winter garden, I was told very harshly that the group sitting there had already booked before me. Whoever believes it? We would have preferred to leave again, but our group also found it pleasant inside. The food was so-so. Some things are too little and too expensive. One had the impression that we were not welcome. We will no longer enter this house. Everyone should have their own experience here. This means you can't say afterwards "you could have told me that before". I don't know how a service like this can exist for so long.

I've been there a few times. Always very nice and comfortable.

We had wanted to eat there for a while and already knew the place from breakfast. I googled the opening times (9 p.m.) and called to make a reservation. I was told they were completely booked tonight. My friend who lives nearby said we should try it anyway, maybe we'll get lucky after all. So I came especially from Krefeld and lo and behold, when we arrived at 7:40 p.m. there was no sign of “fully booked”. There were still empty tables and the winter garden at the back was even completely empty. So I've already been lied to on the phone. When we were “welcomed,” we knew why. Apparently they didn't feel like having guests anymore. It was made VERY clear to us that we were not welcome. In an extremely grumpy tone, the lady (not the boss!) said that the kitchen was only open until 8 p.m. Okay, we didn't know that, but there would have been enough time. When she then snapped at her young employee, “Yeah, stop, what you want to do,” we felt even more like troublemakers. And when she kept nagging on the way to the kitchen, “but no starter,” it got too much for us and we left without a word. We were both speechless, we have never experienced anything like this. Staff is hard to come by, that's true... but you can save on staff like that, but it's more likely to have a detrimental effect on the restaurant's business! What a shame!
