Das Gasthaus ist urig mit alten Hausgeräten dekoriert,mal anders,rustikal gemütlich.Bedienung sehr freundlich und informativ.

Schönes rustikales Ambiente und freundlicher Service. Das Essen war geschmacklich völlig in Ordnung, rechtfertigt die aufgerufenen Preise jedoch nicht ansatzweise. 7,90 € für fünf winzige Kroketten als Beilage sind aus meiner Sicht schlicht unverschämt. Ohne die zusätzlich bestellte Beilage hätte der Teller des Hauptgerichts zudem recht leer gewirkt. Am Ende bleibt vor allem der Eindruck, dass hier bei den Preisen deutlich mehr geboten wird als auf dem Teller.

Essen war lecker, kann man nichts gegen sagen. Die Bedienung war einfach super, ich fand den Typ super, witzig und bisschen große Fresse, aber auf keinen Fall negativ gemeint Die Preise sind nun nicht wirklich günstig, aber leben und leben lassen. Also ich und meine Gäste fanden es war ein toller Abend, und kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen. Wenn ich noch ein paar mal bei dir essen komme kannst du dir vielleicht auch mal ein paar neue Stühle leisten, die waren schon ein bisschen wackelig 🤣 Könnte aber auch daran liegen das ich ein paar Kilo zu viel habe 🤣 Aber wie gesagt danke für den schönen Abend und wir kommen gerne wieder Mach weiter so 👍

Wer es nostalgisch vom Ambiente mag, fühlt sich hier Pudel wohl. Die Einrichtung ist mit Liebe zum Detail. Das Essen super lecker und der Service sehr angenehm und schnell.

Es war wie immer sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Wir waren hier zum ersten Mal Mittag essen, wir hatten im Vorfeld angerufen das Personal ist sehr freundlich, und wir haben sofort einen Tisch bekommen. Das Restaurant hat ein sehr schönes Ambiente und Charme. Das Essen war auch lecker aber wir fanden es nur minimal zu teuer.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Service freundlich und aufmerksam.Die momentanen Baustellen umzu machen es nur schwierig hin zu kommen.

Wir waren heute mit meiner 10 Wochen alten Tochter dort essen. Es war super. Uns wurde Platz geschaffen, damit wir den Kinderwagen dort ohne Probleme abstellen können, das Essen war perfekt und preislich auch völlig in Ordnung! Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und das Essen kam zügig. Außerdem ein wunderschönes Ambiente. Gerne wieder :)

So ein schreckliches Erlebnis haben wir noch nie in einem Restaurant gehabt. Wir waren nicht willkommen das spürte man gleich und mein Kind wurde vom Wirt angemeckert, weil es kurz das Besteck aneinander gerieben hat, darauf meinte der Wirt, sie soll damit aufhören in einem derart rauen Ton. Ich dachte erst, er macht Scherze aber dann merkte ich Recht schnell, dass es Ernst war und habe ihn daraufhin angesprochen. Darauf hin meinte er, dass sie schon öfter von kleinen Kindern mit Besteck angegriffen wurden. Ich frag mich nur was da los ist denn sowas habe ich noch nie gehört. Wir fühlten richtig diesen Kinderhass. Dann haben wir unsere Sachen genommen und das Lokal mit diesem unfreundlichsten Wirt aller Zeiten verlassen. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen für Familien mit Kindern.

I give this place full marks. Especially nowadays, when quantity often takes precedence over quality, I'm glad I ate there again. As a carpenter, I really appreciate the rustic decor: many tools and decorative items from bygone eras transport me to a time I fondly remember. The food is freshly prepared and simply tastes fantastic. Whether it's an authentic potato soup as a starter or a perfectly cooked piece of meat – it's all delicious. There's something for every budget. The staff is extremely friendly and happy to accommodate special requests. I feel very well taken care of there and truly enjoy eating there. If you appreciate seasonal, good, and honest cuisine, this is the place for you. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

The drinks menu only lists "small drinks 0.2l". If you order, for example, a non-alcoholic drink, it suddenly becomes twice the size, and the price is correspondingly higher. The waiter doesn't hold back with his snide remarks.

For a restaurant specializing in potatoes, there were very few menu items featuring potatoes or potato dishes. The prices for soft drinks, like a Spezi (a German soft drink) for €6, were extremely overpriced. The soups and appetizers were also ridiculously overpriced, especially the potato soup, which tasted like it came straight from a can. We were also disappointed with the desserts, which were described as attractive and appetizing on the menu, but the reality was quite different. Overall, the Kartoffelhaus is extremely overpriced. There are many better restaurants in town where the price-performance ratio is reasonable. The customer service was overly attentive, like they were just rehearsing a script to keep customers happy. What a shame...

The food was awful. The hamburger schnitzel haunted us all night in the bathroom. Four adults and a few kids: 170 euros. Unbelievable! On top of that, practically everything was oversalted. The service was well-intentioned but poorly executed.

I ordered schnitzel, got steak ou four, which I ate anyway because I was hungry. They just offered me an apology – no free coffee or anything like that. According to the waitress, it seems to happen quite often that the wrong food is served – why the reason isn't addressed is a mystery to me. The food was totally bland and weak, some of the fried potatoes were burnt. The solyanka was delicious, but I had to add a lot of seasoning. Even my girlfriend, who absolutely doesn't eat spicy food, had to add more seasoning to her meal. Not to sound derogatory, but having the food served by someone with thalidomide on their hands was the last straw for the unappealing experience. Edith: After legal threats from the owner/manager, I'm deducting one star from my previously given two...

A quaint restaurant with a very good menu. The food is still freshly cooked, and the portions are generous. The food is reasonably priced, although the drinks are a bit pricey. The owner was more than friendly and very helpful. Simply top-notch.

I went there for dinner with my husband, daughter, and son-in-law. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable.

Great decoration... unfortunately, decoration isn't everything. I ordered a schnitzel... and it was a small schnitzel. For €21.90 for that size, it's bordering on a rip-off. Okay, then I ordered three handmade potato pancakes, potato pancakes from a potato house... and they came with three small potato pancakes. Three potato pancakes for €9.90, so small, isn't good. The frozen pancakes at the supermarket are huge compared to what I got there...

A good, old potato house. The menu features lots of potatoes and mostly meat. That's what I expected and wasn't disappointed. Don't expect vegan fine dining, and you won't be disappointed. If I'm in the mood for that again, I'll be happy to come back. By the way: I liked the waiter and his manner, but I understand that he might be too harsh for some people. It's a matter of taste, just like with food. Enjoy!

We were here for the first time today (3 adults and 1 almost 2-year-old child) in a completely empty restaurant. The food was good, but reasonably priced. The waiter, however, was disrespectful, cheeky, and rebellious. The evening began with a very bad and rebelliously didactic joke (?) when we asked for a high chair and were quickly told that they only had high chairs because babies only lie down, which is logical. He didn't take his eyes off us for a second and practically stared at us when my daughter and I wanted to look around the shop, which was totally unpleasant. When we wanted to order, and my daughter, with her grandmother by the hand, preferred to check out the "decor" in the shop, we were asked to ALL sit down to order, because only seated guests can order food, and if the two of them are standing, we won't be served. Is that right? Why should my 2-year-old daughter sit at a table under the direct supervision of her grandmother when we can place the entire order? He then looked at my daughter with wide-open eyes and said in a serious voice, "After all, you have to SIT if you want to eat something." From then on, my daughter was afraid of the man, and I lost my temper. He then vehemently emphasized that the furniture was all decoration and not to be touched. The bottom line? My husband wolfed down his food and went to the car with our daughter because we felt completely uncomfortable and disrespected. It was outrageous, unconscionable, and unbelievable.

We received burnt fried potatoes. When we mentioned this, we were met with a "I have to say." Unfortunately, there was no price reduction or anything like that. Prices were extremely overpriced. It's a shame about the restaurant. The decor is worth seeing, with antique decor.

We ended up at Kartoffelhaus again quite by chance. Perhaps you have to understand the waiter's quirky sense of humor (perhaps it's the boss?), but we found it rather inappropriate. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good – the meat was very dry. I reported this back. The reaction: "But everything else was good?" – inappropriate. What a waste of good ingredients. The drink prices are probably comparable to those at a Ritz, definitely overpriced for this place.

We were there today, for the first time, for a small birthday party. The reception was very friendly, and our request for a small table with benches was easily accommodated. As soon as we entered, we were completely blown away by how incredibly rustic the restaurant felt. Stone floors, lots of half-timbered wood, wood on the walls, a small tree in the courtyard... incredibly quaint and, above all, very, very cozy! It made you feel right at home! The food arrived relatively quickly, was very hot, and, as you could see at first glance, not only attractively presented but also in enormous portions! Of course, we tried each other's food, and everyone agreed that the food was simply absolutely delicious. We ordered: • Schnitzel with asparagus and croquettes • Saddle of lamb with baked potatoes and salad • And the Magdeburg Bördepfanne, consisting of saddle of lamb, pork and poultry medallions, mushroom cream sauce, and fried potatoes. We're absolutely certain that we'll definitely eat here again. We haven't had such a cozy meal in a long time – and not so much for the money either ;) Definitely a clear recommendation! *Unfortunately, I couldn't add any photos; I always get an error message without any further explanation...

Great atmosphere inside. For a potato restaurant, I expect the potatoes to be a tasty highlight. Unfortunately, they weren't, either as fried potatoes or potato wedges. The chicken fillet was unfortunately overcooked twice; the meat was so dry. The service doesn't even accept complaints. Drink prices are steep; €6.50 for a wheat beer is quite a pricey proposition. It's a good thing there are other restaurants nearby.

The food was very good, as always! The "Bördepfanne" (Börde pan) is my favorite. The asparagus prices are also reasonable. We've been to the restaurant several times and always had a nice male server! Unfortunately, the female server was rather unfriendly and unmotivated. If they had been here the first time, we wouldn't have come back! Food just doesn't make up for everything.

The food tasted okay, but I thought the drinks were really overpriced. I had some beans with my schnitzel, and the bill was a real eye-opener: €6.50. A large Spezi was €6. The taste couldn't make up for that. The ambiance was very nice, with a rustic style. The service was friendly and did a good job.

We always receive a very friendly welcome, the service is great and the food is always fresh and delicious. Ambiance is quaintly good. The map is significantly shortened compared to previous years, which is perfectly fine. Unfortunately, there really isn't a vegetarian dish to be found as the main course. You don't really expect this in a steak or grill house, but for a POTATO house it's weak and no longer up to date. There was no real suggestion from the waitress, but rather an annoyed reaction that you then put your own dish together. Beer prices are really overpriced. It wouldn't matter so much if you were otherwise completely satisfied. Since my companions didn't show any real enthusiasm for food, unfortunately there was no address for us. It's a shame... We used to love going there. But maybe just the ambience is rich. not.

Food was okay but definitely nothing special. What is unfortunately very bad is the beer prices. So sorry, I can understand that nothing is cheaper but €6.50 for a beer from the bottle! That's really asking too much. If it were at least still on tap but poured from the bottle into the glass there would be a direct €6 increase in value, that doesn't make any sense. Something should definitely be done. Otherwise not bad but not worth recommending either.

The ambience is very nice, but that's where it ends. The lady from service got annoyed so quickly. It seemed like she didn't feel like it. The restaurant was empty. We went there as a group, the air was very thick at around 30 degrees, but unfortunately a little drizzle didn't help. The online research about food was in vain because it doesn't count. Das Essen ist gut und ausreichend. Das Ambiente, naja viel alter Müll der als Deko verwendet wird. Ist Geschmackssache. Die Preise wurden angehoben und ein großes Bier kostest jetzt 6,50 €. Das geht absolut nicht. Die Gaststätten müssen sich nicht wundern, wenn die Gäste irgendwann wegbleiben, weil sich das keiner mehr leisten kann. Die hohen Preise sind auch nicht gerechtfertigt.

Wir waren mit 2 Erwachsenen, 2 Teens und dem Hund auf Durchreise und haben im Sudenburger Kartoffelhaus unser Abendessen genossen. Super Auswahl, große und sehr leckere Portionen. Klare Empfehlung von den Teens für den Hamburger Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln. Wer noch ein bisschen Platz für Nachspeise hat, landet genau richtig mit den 2 Pfannkuchen mit Sahne und Apfelmus. Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Wir können das Kartoffelhaus nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Also, wer Lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil. Beschwerden über die Preise sind ja wohl überflüssig. Ja die Getränke sind etwas Teuer aber man muss ja hier nicht herkommen wenn es nicht zum Geldbeutel passt. Wir haben hier auf den Weg in unser Urlaubsort halt gemacht. Wurden freundlich begrüßt und bedient. Das Essen war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Es hätte etwas mehr würze, schärfe sein dürfen. Es hat aber trotzdem gut geschmeckt. Letztlich stand nichts auf der Rechnung was nicht auch auf der Speisekarte stand.

Sind schnell bedient worden. Die beiden Grünkohlgerichte einmal mit Bratwürsten und Salzkartoffeln und 2 mal mit Kassler und Bratkartoffeln waren schmackhaft und lecker. Wenn es nicht so spät wäre, hätten wir noch Nachschlag geordert.

EXCELLENT plates, very tasty. True food - Totally worth it. We had schnitzel and mix grill (pork, chicken, sausages) with potatoes and salad for main plates. Definitely recommend it and would go again if ever come back to Magdeburg! Causy atmosphere. no english menu but online translator and the few english from the stuff did the work.

Uriges Lokal, Essen war leider nichts besonderes. Hatte das Hamburger Schnitzel, Bratkartoffeln nicht gewürzt,okay kann man notfalls noch nachwürzen. Das Schnitzel leider trocken und die Panade aufgeweicht. Am schlimmsten fand ich aber die völlig überzogenen Getränkepreise. Cola 0,2 l für 3,70 Euro ist schon sportlich! Muss jeder selber für sich entscheiden, aber18,50 Euro für 1 Liter ist mir zu teuer. Gruß Olaf aus Hannover

Von 6 Essen waren leider 2 falsch. Es gibt Gerichte, wo man wählen muss welche Kartoffelart (Ofenkartoffel, Bratkartoffeln etc.)man möchte. Dieses kostet auch extra. Leider steht das weder auf der Karte noch wird man danach gefragt. Es wird einfach was dazu serviert. Dazu sind die Getränkepreise überzogen. 6,50 Euro für nen Weizen ist schon eine Ansage.
