The food was excellent! It was very loud at times at the next table. We had reserved a table that wasn't ready when we arrived. The server, named Kosta, was very unfriendly. The colleague who served us afterward was the complete opposite. Otherwise, a lovely afternoon.

Beautiful location, whether in the restaurant, on the terrace, or by the water, the top-notch team is always friendly, and a little chat is always welcome. We feel very comfortable and welcome there. Whether as an individual or in a large group, they're great.

In my opinion, the service was understaffed. The appetizer came before the drinks. That's very unusual. The subsequent rounds of drinks also took a while. The main course was served very quickly. However, the waiter can't stand behind the guests and call out "ox" for the ox cheeks. You should have something to eat instead, stand in front of them, and reasonably ask who gets what. The schnitzel looked like it had been deep-fried, as it was evenly browned, and the mushroom cream sauce was, in my opinion, tasteless. Either it's pre-made or it's a convenience product. It's also a shame that smoking is permitted on the terrace, and the smoke drifts into the dining room through the open windows.

After walking away from another restaurant ended up here. Atmospherically decorated restaurant, friendly service, fast service and delicious food!

Mückenwirt Restaurant The food was lukewarm, and cutlery didn't arrive for about 10 minutes after several requests, making the food even colder. The carrots in the ox cheek weren't thawed properly. Some of the salmon fillet and turkey pieces were already hard. Everything was oversalted and tasted more like a convenience store item. If we had eaten a grilled sausage downstairs, we would have been full and saved €130.

The food and service were okay. The location was very nice.

A place for a snack of steak, bratwurst, and a few side dishes. Rustic seating. Views of the Elbe River. Drink prices are a bit high for a snack. Located on the bike path, making it easy to reach.

What a beautiful location! We celebrated our 10th-grade graduation here for the fourth time. As always, we were well looked after, the food was delicious, and the service was wonderful and attentive. We felt completely at home and would love to come back.

My child's graduation party took place there. The organization was so terrible. €65 per ticket for a buffet for 300+ people, too few seats, no program, no proper music, and of course, you had to pay for drinks yourself (even water in 30-degree heat). I've never experienced such a poor event. Horrible.

Great atmosphere, superb view over the Elbe River and the cathedral. The service staff was friendly and attentive. The food was good, but nothing more. The salmon was very dry, and the teriyaki sauce was very strong.

We sat on the terrace and, thanks to the fresh breeze, easily endured the temperatures above 30 degrees. The food was delicious and plentiful.

It was wonderful to be there again... But the service from the men outside could be better! You got the feeling they were completely annoyed with their pissed-off attitude! But you wonder why? It wasn't even that busy....

Very nice and highly recommended for celebrations or simply to spend a few pleasant hours. Located directly on the Elbe River and the bike path, it's also the ideal place for a stopover. If you don't want to eat in the restaurant, you can satisfy your hunger or thirst at the grill or at the kiosk, or simply enjoy an ice cream.

Requiring a minimum amount for card payments in such a large establishment in 2025 is more than questionable. So enjoying a drink after a stroll is out of the question. Fortunately, there are other good restaurants nearby.

We were guests at a private party. The cake buffet was plentiful and delicious. In the evening, there was a barbecue buffet. In addition to many meat dishes, there were plenty of vegetarian and vegan alternatives. The in-house Mücke Hell beer was also highly recommended.

I was just visiting the beer garden and went to the drinks stand to order two beers. I said a friendly hello and placed my order. The waiter then said: 8 euros, please. I gave him ten, he gave me back one euro and said: 9 euros, I'd say, you'll be fine. Tipping is apparently neither voluntary here nor allowed to be left on the bar as is often the case. I was shocked and turned around. May 31, 5:00 p.m.

A very nice place with a beer garden. Right on the Elbe River, with mostly unobstructed views of the water. It's also a great place to take a break during your bike ride. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The food arrived very quickly and was absolutely delicious! I can highly recommend it.

We had dinner there yesterday. I have mustard-crusted chicken breast in tomato sauce with Röstitaler. The chicken breast looked and tasted like it had been microwaved from the fridge. The mustard crust was a complete mess. That's exactly what happened to the people from Röstital. Matchy, no trace of roasting. Simply disgusting.🤮

I love the mosquito host. Always worth a detour. Preferably by bike. The atmosphere is beautiful, on the Elbe with sunshine and pleasant music. The shandy also tastes great... naturally cloudy 😊 There's also something for the little ones. Ice cream and soft drinks, for example. I really enjoy being here ❤️🙏😊

Went to the Mückenwirt again today with lovely company...really great location, nice atmosphere, but: I ordered asparagus with spring potatoes and had the choice between hollandaise sauce and buttered crumbs... I specifically asked if the hollandaise sauce was homemade...YES, was the answer...and it definitely came from a tetra pack!! The taste and consistency really left no doubt. If I hadn't asked, I would have (had to) accept it. But that's an absolute no-go... The sauce was spread over the asparagus and it stayed exactly that way, no soft melting/coating of the asparagus...absolute failure. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo because I was so scared 🙈 I would be happy to come with my recipe if you wish 😉 Regardless, the asparagus was good, but the spring potatoes...two pieces weren't enough for me. A small postscript: the toilets can't do their job, a plumber has to get there.

Very nice, excursion restaurant located on the Elbe. Ideal for cyclists. There is a mini golf course and plenty of room for movement for children.

I go to the Mückenwirt very often and I have to say the food always tastes very good and the staff is friendly. And if you don't feel like going to a restaurant, you can eat a bratwurst in the beer garden.

Great location, nothing to complain about

We celebrated our wedding at the Mückenwirt eight years ago, and the location played a crucial role in making it an unforgettable day. Today we celebrated our wedding anniversary there with our young children. The Mückenwirt's location right on the Elbe River speaks for itself. The food was absolutely delicious. Above all, I would like to praise the wonderful service: the staff's attentiveness to the little guests is something we don't take for granted. For us as a family, it was a wonderful and relaxing evening.

Brunch buffet. The selection for the cold breakfast is okay. Unfortunately, the warm dishes were completely over-seasoned and over-salted. Very unfortunate. Service good. However, the price of 14.50 euros for a small pot of normal filter coffee for brunch is a real outrage. Something like that should be part of it.
