I would prefer to give zero stars. It was so damn expensive and disgusting I threw up afterwards and my child couldn't even get fries because the deep fryer was broken. Once and never again

Just a small lunch snack - but in a great location on the Elbe with friendly service and good cuisine. A recommendation in Magdeburg!

Enjoyed brunch, sun and the Elbe at the Mückenwirt.

It was a very pleasant stay there, right on the Elbe. The outdoor area is nice and large, partially covered, it is clean and fresh. So we were totally surprised and satisfied.

The Mückenwirth is located directly on the Elbe. You can sit outside or in the restaurant. It's fantastic to sit there with nature in front of your eyes and eat delicious food. Super nice atmosphere. There is often live music. Very clean and well maintained. You can take the ferry from Mückenwirth over to the city park. A good opportunity for walking or cycling. Connecting everything together is great. It's self-service outside, but I can only recommend the boulettes. Super delicious 😋 I love our Mückenwirth, going for a walk with friends and eating is very relaxing.

Short stop by bike and then taken the ferry to the city park. Nice location.

A visit to the beer garden in beautiful weather. You can sit quite comfortably here and have a great view.

And then take the ferry to the Rotehorn to Café Mundt

Truly one of the most beautiful places in Magdeburg, especially when Venture Fox plays

Nice view of the Elbe from the terrace. Here you sit in a cozy atmosphere, receive friendly service and then get a tasty meal. All in all, a visit to the restaurant was worth it. It definitely wasn't the last either.

Great food. Very nice service. We were there with 12 people. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Everything came right and at the same time.

Just before the 5 stars. There's nothing to say against eating. The staff really tries hard and is flexible. What could still be improved are little things.

Very good location. Directly on the Elbe. Self-service in the guest garden. That fits. Young lady at the drinks cart, friendly and quick. It could work faster on the grill. Bratwurst was still cold inside. Too bad.

Very good location on the Elbe with delicious food.

The food tastes very good in a great atmosphere. But the service was the last thing. We celebrated a 70th birthday here, drinks only came when we asked, and we cleared the table ourselves after the starters. There was no second round of drinks and no one even asked about it. We waited almost 90 minutes for the food.

Beautiful beer garden right on the Elbe! Unfortunately, the sausage from the warming device was only lukewarm and the beer wasn't refreshingly cold either. This can be done better and does more justice to the great place. Cash payment only outside.

I'm an old Magdeburger, but it was my first time at the Mückenwirt and something like that, the food and the service staff were great, the waiter Kosta had a warm word for everyone, just great💓

Few vegetarian offerings. Really a shame

I attended an event there again. Mückenwurt stands for good musical entertainment, unobtrusive and fast service, decent toilets and a good ambience. That's why there are always a lot of guests there who still find space, are looked after and feel comfortable.

It was a little bit difficult to find this place buddy was worthwhile. The view, the atmosphere, super.

We rented a raft for 3 hours last Saturday and absolutely loved it. It was very hot and we were able to sit below deck, where it was very pleasant. But it was also really chic above deck. We were 11 women and booked the drinks package and it was really more than enough. There was a great atmosphere on board (there is a Bluetooth box), toilet and our skipper was in a great mood. We had a wonderful afternoon and are already planning for next year. I can really only recommend it!!!! A very big thank you again for giving us such a great day (for a bachelorette farewell that was planned at very short notice). We can't rate the food because we booked without food.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Magdeburg, located directly on the Elbe. Always delicious from the grill and good beer, the Mücken Hell. It is always very cozy in the restaurant too. You can have brunch here on Sundays. Clear recommendation!

Everything at a top level for the location. Clean, all details with understanding and passion. Staff polite and clearly focused on the guest.

We didn't eat here because when we asked for a table we were treated so unfriendly that we left straight away. According to the website, reservations are required for weddings and large groups and for brunch. Today we were literally lectured and told we were stupid, that it was logical to always have to make a reservation. Maybe you should work on your website sometime. I will not allow myself to be treated as unkindly as I was treated here today. This is really a disgrace.

A wonderful read on the Elbe. Well visited. But the prices for a self-service beer garden are outrageous

I expected more... we had a spontaneous meal here with friends last night and, despite the "higher" prices, we chose the restaurant instead of the snack bar downstairs. I had hoped for more for the 22€ schnitzel with cauliflower and potatoes, the schnitzel could have been bigger, the potatoes and cauliflower were carelessly prepared, I could have done it that way at home. The taste was tasty, but nothing special or outstanding. Plus it was just a pork schnitzel. I think the service tried hard, but was a bit overwhelmed that evening (perhaps understaffed?) - in any case, we had to wait so long for our tickets at the beginning that we got them ourselves. The toilets were also broken yesterday, so that men and women had to use a toilet - basically no problem, but the toilet smelled so bad of sewage that we could smell it all the way to the terrace outside and we didn't really like it whet your appetite. You can do it, but there are certainly much better things to do in Magdeburg :)

Ambience: We had a table for four on the terrace with a view of the great Elbe. Unfortunately, there was a persistent strong and disgusting smell from the toilet, which was upstairs in the entrance area. Toilets are modern, but dirty due to increased use (including by guests in the outdoor beer garden). There was no toilet paper and there were no paper towels to dry your hands. To eat: I ate the fried chicken breast with croquettes. It was very delicious and beautifully presented. However, for €20, apparently not even 150g of chicken breast is really too expensive and not recommended. The schnitzels the others chose were also delicious, but the portions were clearly too small. Service: The tickets only came out after about 15 minutes, so we were about to leave again. The staff performed their duties according to regulations. Hardly any enthusiasm and not particularly nice. Was OK.

Great restaurant with lots of offerings and a beautiful view.

Had a small family celebration today with a pre-order and the service was completely overwhelmed. Waited 1.30 hours for the food and the drinks were no different and then still incomplete. There won't be a next time

It's a great place to hang out with friends, but the highlight was that the place was closed at 10 p.m. on Saturday evening in beautiful weather, that can't be true, I've never seen anything like that in any other city Experienced, and in a state capital, very disappointing.

A beautiful beer garden right on the Elbe. At the moment there is also live football broadcast in a nice atmosphere.

We rented the raft on a Saturday. Really great with a sun deck but also shady spots. We had booked snacks and drinks. Everything was delicious and the drinks were nice and cold. There is also a toilet on board. Our captain 😉 was also super nice. Gladly again!

When the weather is nice, sit in the beer garden and enjoy a “sip” after work. Just the thing for relaxing.

I often go to the beer garden there. Staff is nice. Elbe too. Mosquitoes not like that. Always a bike ride from Dodendorf to the Mückenwirt. Every now and then I go to other beer gardens. But always stick with Mr. Bittner's Mückenwirt. Let your soul unwind. No stress. You always meet someone. Kind regards from the Sülzetal. Very cool location right on the river. There are a few food stalls next door. We had a company event there and were able to watch the Germany game from the VIP lounge. Was fun.

Is there a nicer place for Elbe townspeople than the Mückenwirt? If you can then enjoy a brunch with nice friends that is second to none, Sunday is perfect. We haven't seen it so lovingly prepared with a lot of imagination and attention to detail by the entire team for a long time Thank you very much for a very nice experience, I would love to do it again.

First the positive. A great location and a great location. So, now the rest. After 25 minutes without service in the restaurant, we moved to the beer garden. The beer “Mücke Hell” is really no revelation. The bratwurst was poor and the meatball had a very low meat content and more fat. The service in the beer garden is probably more typical for Magdeburg. Friendliness is not very important here. That seems to be the rule here in Magdeburg.

We just had a drink and helped ourselves to the self-service counter outside. So I can't judge the service or food. The atmosphere is great, beautifully located on the Elbe, there is a parking lot nearby and there are also enough bicycle parking spaces. European Championship games are also broadcast here.

It's wonderful to be able to spend a summer evening directly on the Elbe. Everything was just right.

In itself a beautiful beer garden in the most amazing surroundings. However, there is so much room for improvement when it comes to sustainability that I personally usually avoid the MüWi. There is nothing at the grill for vegans and salads are served in small disposable plastic bowls, everything else on paper plates. Why?! Beer is also available in glasses. But the people in the 'beverage cart' and at the grill are very nice and funny...

Very tasty food and very friendly staff

We had reserved a table and were sent away again because two private parties were celebrating at the location at short notice. Who is planning a wedding at short notice? We were directed to the wooden benches with braised sausage. That's not how you treat guests!

That was a great evening yesterday. Germany wins against Hungary and we are here at the Mückenwirt and are being pampered in every way. Great food, lots of screens, a dedicated team. This experience will definitely be remembered fondly.

The major events are well organized! No long waits at the stands. The empty dishes are also cleared away quickly. Nice staff with assertiveness when guests go overboard.

We just ate outside at the grill. However, if you don't like pork, there's nothing there except potato salad or a dollop of bruschetta on toast. The staff is very great and the atmosphere is unique.

Was there during the week, just before noon. Self-service restaurant was already open, staff very friendly! The bar outside was still closed and the grill was just starting to work. Everything was clean all around!!!

A great place to enjoy the evening on the Elbe. The prices are reasonable and the service is top!! Unfortunately you can only pay by card indoors.

The food from the grill is okay, the service at the grill is okay. In return, the beer truck and its waitresses tear everything out again. That's where friendliness shows. The benches could be wiped down so you don't have dirty pants.
