Feel like spending an afternoon next to the Elbe River in the summer or winter this is a wonderful place to relax after a long day of work or sight seeing in Magdeburg... Got stuck into a couple of Ice cold Weissbier before supper...

Went to the Mückenwirt this evening, on a spur of the moment. Nice, tasteful restaurant, right on the river. Prompt, friendly staff and service. Relaxed and informal in dealings. Very pleasant evening Will be here again next time we visit Magdeburg.

I celebrated a company party and my birthday at the Mückenwirt. Both times we were extremely satisfied from start to finish. The food was simply delicious on both days and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Always happy :)

Brunch buffet. The selection for the cold breakfast is okay. Unfortunately, the warm dishes were completely over-seasoned and over-salted. Very unfortunate. Service good. However, the price of 14.50 euros for a small pot of normal filter coffee for brunch is a real outrage. Something like that should be part of it.

Cozy restaurant on the Elbe with a large garden and lots of seating outside and inside. Outside there is bratwurst and various drinks and lots of greenery to relax or take a short break to do a tour. You can also play mini golf and of course take a leisurely walk along the Elbe. This restaurant simply invites you to linger and the team was very friendly.

Very nicely located rustic location directly on the Elbe. Food tasty. Service very friendly. Acoustics in the restaurant are not too loud. Conversations were easily possible. Sanitary facilities perfectly fine.

The Mückenwirth is located directly on the Elbe. You can sit outside or in the restaurant. It's fantastic to sit there with nature in front of your eyes and eat delicious food. Super nice atmosphere. There is often live music. Very clean and well maintained. You can take the ferry from Mückenwirth over to the city park. A good opportunity for walking or cycling. Connecting everything together is great. It's self-service outside, but I can only recommend the boulettes. Super delicious 😋 I love our Mückenwirth, going for a walk with friends and eating is very relaxing.

Beautifully located on the Elbe. Regardless of whether it's at the outdoor beer cart or in the restaurant, everything here is positive - the service, the food and drinks are always worth the trip.

Drinks and ambience are highly recommended. Unfortunately, you get insulted by the staff if they don't like something. So it was the last time I was there. Too bad.

I would prefer to give zero stars. It was so damn expensive and disgusting I threw up afterwards and my child couldn't even get fries because the deep fryer was broken. Once and never again

Enjoyed brunch, sun and the Elbe at the Mückenwirt.

It was a very pleasant stay there, right on the Elbe. The outdoor area is nice and large, partially covered, it is clean and fresh. So we were totally surprised and satisfied.

Short stop by bike and then taken the ferry to the city park. Nice location.

A visit to the beer garden in beautiful weather. You can sit quite comfortably here and have a great view.

And then take the ferry to the Rotehorn to Café Mundt

Nice view of the Elbe from the terrace. Here you sit in a cozy atmosphere, receive friendly service and then get a tasty meal. All in all, a visit to the restaurant was worth it. It definitely wasn't the last either.

Very good location. Directly on the Elbe. Self-service in the guest garden. That fits. Young lady at the drinks cart, friendly and quick. It could work faster on the grill. Bratwurst was still cold inside. Too bad.

The food tastes very good in a great atmosphere. But the service was the last thing. We celebrated a 70th birthday here, drinks only came when we asked, and we cleared the table ourselves after the starters. There was no second round of drinks and no one even asked about it. We waited almost 90 minutes for the food.

Beautiful beer garden right on the Elbe! Unfortunately, the sausage from the warming device was only lukewarm and the beer wasn't refreshingly cold either. This can be done better and does more justice to the great place. Cash payment only outside.

I'm an old Magdeburger, but it was my first time at the Mückenwirt and something like that, the food and the service staff were great, the waiter Kosta had a warm word for everyone, just great💓

I attended an event there again. Mückenwurt stands for good musical entertainment, unobtrusive and fast service, decent toilets and a good ambience. That's why there are always a lot of guests there who still find space, are looked after and feel comfortable.

It was a little bit difficult to find this place buddy was worthwhile. The view, the atmosphere, super.

We rented a raft for 3 hours last Saturday and absolutely loved it. It was very hot and we were able to sit below deck, where it was very pleasant. But it was also really chic above deck. We were 11 women and booked the drinks package and it was really more than enough. There was a great atmosphere on board (there is a Bluetooth box), toilet and our skipper was in a great mood. We had a wonderful afternoon and are already planning for next year. I can really only recommend it!!!! A very big thank you again for giving us such a great day (for a bachelorette farewell that was planned at very short notice). We can't rate the food because we booked without food.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Magdeburg, located directly on the Elbe. Always delicious from the grill and good beer, the Mücken Hell. It is always very cozy in the restaurant too. You can have brunch here on Sundays. Clear recommendation!

Everything at a top level for the location. Clean, all details with understanding and passion. Staff polite and clearly focused on the guest.

We didn't eat here because when we asked for a table we were treated so unfriendly that we left straight away. According to the website, reservations are required for weddings and large groups and for brunch. Today we were literally lectured and told we were stupid, that it was logical to always have to make a reservation. Maybe you should work on your website sometime. I will not allow myself to be treated as unkindly as I was treated here today. This is really a disgrace.

A wonderful read on the Elbe. Well visited. But the prices for a self-service beer garden are outrageous

I expected more... we had a spontaneous meal here with friends last night and, despite the "higher" prices, we chose the restaurant instead of the snack bar downstairs. I had hoped for more for the 22€ schnitzel with cauliflower and potatoes, the schnitzel could have been bigger, the potatoes and cauliflower were carelessly prepared, I could have done it that way at home. The taste was tasty, but nothing special or outstanding. Plus it was just a pork schnitzel. I think the service tried hard, but was a bit overwhelmed that evening (perhaps understaffed?) - in any case, we had to wait so long for our tickets at the beginning that we got them ourselves. The toilets were also broken yesterday, so that men and women had to use a toilet - basically no problem, but the toilet smelled so bad of sewage that we could smell it all the way to the terrace outside and we didn't really like it whet your appetite. You can do it, but there are certainly much better things to do in Magdeburg :)

Ambience: We had a table for four on the terrace with a view of the great Elbe. Unfortunately, there was a persistent strong and disgusting smell from the toilet, which was upstairs in the entrance area. Toilets are modern, but dirty due to increased use (including by guests in the outdoor beer garden). There was no toilet paper and there were no paper towels to dry your hands. To eat: I ate the fried chicken breast with croquettes. It was very delicious and beautifully presented. However, for €20, apparently not even 150g of chicken breast is really too expensive and not recommended. The schnitzels the others chose were also delicious, but the portions were clearly too small. Service: The tickets only came out after about 15 minutes, so we were about to leave again. The staff performed their duties according to regulations. Hardly any enthusiasm and not particularly nice. Was OK.

Great restaurant with lots of offerings and a beautiful view.

Had a small family celebration today with a pre-order and the service was completely overwhelmed. Waited 1.30 hours for the food and the drinks were no different and then still incomplete. There won't be a next time

It's a great place to hang out with friends, but the highlight was that the place was closed at 10 p.m. on Saturday evening in beautiful weather, that can't be true, I've never seen anything like that in any other city Experienced, and in a state capital, very disappointing.

Nice place to switch off and enjoy the Elbe. Food very good and inexpensive. Service friendly.

We rented the raft on a Saturday. Really great with a sun deck but also shady spots. We had booked snacks and drinks. Everything was delicious and the drinks were nice and cold. There is also a toilet on board. Our captain 😉 was also super nice. Gladly again!
