Very nice people, with imaginative food

Overcrowded, long waiting times but delicious. We were there for Valentine's Day and had a 4 course menu. The food was delicious, the service was friendly. Unfortunately it was too crowded to enjoy the evening. Due to the large number of guests, it was very loud and difficult to have a conversation. We were lucky with the seats, other couples had seats right at the door or 20cm away from the staircase. We also had to wait a very long time for the food. It always took around 30-40 minutes between courses. PS the toilets also need a renovation. Conclusion: I would not recommend anyone to go there on days like this. Very unfortunate.

There aren't many good restaurants in Magdeburg...the Hoflieferant is one of the top three and I would love to eat there again...highly recommended!!!

I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Regional dishes, prepared very tasty with products from the region. The beautiful ambience, the friendly service and the good food made the evening a great experience. Highly recommended!

We were there on Saturday with 11 people, 4 corn-fed chickens weren't cooked through, we were very disappointed, no fries for children and no ketchup, the chairs weren't stable either

My boyfriend and I had dinner there yesterday for our anniversary. We had a very nice evening in a wonderful atmosphere. The nice waiter (Daniel 😉) was absolutely humorous and entertaining. The menu is smaller but you can taste the quality of the food. The dessert was quite sweet but very tasty, as was everything else. There are various options for vegans and vegetarians too. We were very happy with everything and would love to come back! 🫶🏻

A manageable menu that contains absolutely delicious highlights. The catfish fillet was a surprise to the palate.

I reserved a table on January 19, 2025 and wanted to surprise a good friend. I succeeded. First the unique location, the ambience and then the excellent food, finally rounded off with an excellent wine. All in all, an absolute pleasure. (definitely reserve in advance) I would like to thank you very much for the excellent service. We'll definitely be back.

You definitely have to reserve online in advance. Great ambience, pleasant service and modern cuisine with regional products. Always have at least 1 vegan dish as a starter, main dish or dessert. Otherwise nothing changed from the first visit, we were satisfied.

The food was really, really good. The various components were very well coordinated and harmonized wonderfully with each other. You could tell that the dishes were well thought out and prepared with love. We were really excited. The service was attentive but not too intrusive. It just echoed upstairs in the room and had a little less ambience than downstairs. For my partner and I, it is the best restaurant in Magdeburg in terms of both the price-performance ratio and the seasonality and regionality. We'd love to come back.

The entire meal was a real enrichment and will remain in our memories. The dishes are unusual, delicious compositions, vegan and not vegan. The service from Steffi and Daniel was excellent and, above all, very attentive and cheerful. It was fun, both culinary and human.

The purveyor to the court clearly scores points with its ambience. In the evening, the dimmed light in the restaurant helps to make the first date but also the food look better than it actually is. As soon as you stop in with a larger group, the service stalls, drinks are forgotten and the menu seems endless. For 3 (pre-ordered, i.e. known) courses over 2.5 hours. If at least the food had had less “roasted aroma” or the service had been more attentive and friendly, no problem. People also had the feeling that they would rather tolerate dogs than small children playing. The food and service do not live up to your expectations. Unfortunately I'm disappointed for the second time.

This year's New Year's Eve menu was once again a very special compilation of dishes. A successful interplay of flavors and very good service. Thank you very much and we wish the entire team a happy new year. We look forward to the next visit. :) We enjoyed an Italian evening at the Hoflieferanten. A really great 3-course menu with harmonious accompanying wines. Beforehand there was also a small kitchen greeting with champagne to everyone's approval. Between courses we received interesting information about the grape varieties and origin of the wines as well as the dishes chosen. An all-round successful evening. Thank you for that. :-)

We once again had our holiday dinner on Christmas Day in the “Hoflieferant” restaurant in Magdeburg because we really, really liked it in previous years. It was another special, festive experience for us. The ambience, a warm, friendly atmosphere, the courteous, personal welcome and friendly service; you feel that the guest is “king” here, We enjoyed the delicate menu, the result of special culinary art, as always made from exquisite, fresh, regional products and beautifully presented to the eye. For us, nothing was left to be desired for our holiday meal. We would like to express our special thanks to the management and team of the restaurant.

Stylish restaurant in a prominent location between the cathedral and the banks of the Elbe. Solid ambience in vintage style. The New Year's Eve menu was excellent in composition and quality. The tables were obviously not assigned to multiple people, so you could determine the pace of the course sequence yourself. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The prices were reasonably middle-class. Overall, I would be happy to come back at any time and absolutely recommended!!

This restaurant is Magdeburg's number 1 for everyone who wants to eat upscale, regional and seasonal food with very good service - without it seeming "over-the-top". Since both vegan/vegetarian and omnivore dishes are offered, it is ideal for mixed groups. The map is not overly large, but is still very versatile, which I consider to be a clear plus. Vegan dishes are specifically declared. The dishes do not require any substitute products and are still wholesome (you don't have the feeling of being fobbed off with side dishes) - the taste is excellent, the flavors are very well coordinated and it is beautifully presented.

Great location, the light downstairs should be more comfortable, dim

Unfortunately, my 88-year-old father fell over an unlit bollard on the street in front of the restaurant on the way to the restaurant. The waitress looked after us very well at first and then served us very friendly as the evening progressed. The food was okay as far as starters go. The Christmas duck, however, was burnt and tough. The ambience is quite cozy, a bit thrown together without a clear furnishing concept. Unfortunately, there is a constant draft in the taproom downstairs through the large front door as guests enter and exit. There was a non-stop draft through the guests' smoke passages.

We had a wonderful evening at the Hoflieferant for my mother's 80th birthday. Small, fine restaurant, easily accessible even for people with a walker, delicious, high-quality dishes, a very nice service staff and the ability to order seats digitally makes it super easy to get in touch. Thank you! All around great, we'll be back.

Top food (menu) with excellent service in a pleasant atmosphere!

A little hidden in the city center, within walking distance of Schleinufer, cathedral... We were there for our company's Christmas party. The service was attentive, friendly and flexible at all times. As expected, the food was more upscale and everyone enjoyed it. There was a mulled wine stand set up outside and a fire made the whole thing more comfortable. Highly recommended but please reserve in advance. ☺️

The service was friendly. Unfortunately, the tables were not set with tablecloths - as shown on the website - and the food arrived very late, so it was not possible to eat together. Unfortunately, the path to the restaurant is difficult for walkers (potholes litter the driveway and little or inappropriate lighting characterizes the path). The food was served attractively, even if the root vegetables were not distinguishable for our palate, (overcooked) too bad!

There is only pork and the food tastes so bad. I've never eaten anything like that before. The meal took half an hour

You can do it. Food was pretty good. Sanitary facilities needed to be replaced, the toilet seat was hanging at half past seven. Friendly staff, food served hot and quickly, if you are in Magdeburg you should stop by here.

Totally brilliant location in the middle of Magdeburg's cathedral complex. Were there with 9 people... The food was delicious, the service was also great and the ambience was great too. Highly recommended!!!!

Yesterday we were guests at table 22. The food was excellent, the spices were perfectly balanced. The ambience is nice, except for the OSB panels screwed into the corners in the upper room. Staff friendly. We can only recommend the restaurant!

A favorite place in Magdeburg. Here you will find the finest slow food, although it is not easy to find the restaurant between the cathedral and the Elbe. But if you do, you'll always come back here! It is most beautiful in the garden, but we also like to come here in the dark season!!! Courteous staff are happy to recommend the kitchen's creations and the drinks that go with them. Fresh regional and seasonal ingredients are conjured up in the kitchen to create surprising, ever-new dishes and attractively presented. Every now and then, guests are allowed to taste a completely new creation before it goes on the small but delicious menu. Great attention is paid to every little detail here. It is advisable to reserve in advance because many guests come to this magical place, and we are not the only ones who come back again and again. It's also worth checking the website for planned events. We are particularly looking forward to the duck dinner on Advent Sundays. We wish the court supplier team all the best!!!! Be sure to stay as you are!!! Always creative and with love for your guests!!!!

The place is very cozy and well decorated. The chef knows something about his craft. The broccolo dish with mashed potatoes had too little broccoli on the plate compared to the price of €19.90 and the stalks were too hard.

If I were to write: "very nice", that would be an absolute understatement. I can't imagine how it could be better. Small but very fine selection, of course also vegetarian/vegan. The prices are extremely fair, especially when you see how other competitors have raised prices. The staff is friendly and approachable, yet unobtrusive. Distance between the tables so that you can have a conversation without being disturbed. Creative combination of dishes that are surprising but absolutely appropriate. Now I'll stop with the praise, otherwise someone will think it's made up. By the way, reservations are recommended. Was very well attended. Thank you to the hosts.

Very cute little restaurant, which is somewhat hidden behind the cathedral. The atmosphere inside and outside is very appealing and the staff is attentive. The food was creative, very fresh and definitely something different with unusual ingredients. Absolutely clear recommendation!

This excellent restaurant is hidden and nestled between the cathedral and Fürstenwall. From a culinary point of view, it has a short but regional/seasonal menu that is very fond of wine. The staff, whether cook or service lady, were extremely friendly and polite. You should reserve a table; the terrace invites you to linger, especially in the summer months. All in all, we had a successful and very nice evening in this house.

I'm still writing the review over my espresso. I'm thrilled. Probably the best restaurant in Magdeburg. The service- great. I have rarely felt so comfortable and welcome in a restaurant. You can tell that the service really enjoys their work - that's really rare! The food, also simply great. And the prices are really okay. I find starters under €10 very rare at the moment. And the quantity is really appropriate for an appetizer. The taste, just really great. The chef also enjoys his job, you can tell. The ambience was also a 10:10. In the middle of a pretty garden, which is atmospherically lit in the evening. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a delicious meal in a cozy, chic environment and receive a warm welcome. :) *unfortunately the food was gone too quickly for photos ;)

The restaurant is really a little pearl. It's beautifully situated and has a really nice outdoor area. Unfortunately it was raining so we went into the cozy guest room, which was furnished with a lot of love. The card is not a but fine and unusual. The dishes are beautifully prepared and really tasty. The only point deducted is that the air in the guest room was really unpleasantly humid and it was very stressful and we therefore unfortunately left earlier than we wanted.

We reserved a table as a precaution, as the seats in the romantic garden with a view of the cathedral are particularly popular on such a warm summer evening. The service was extremely friendly and competent, the drinks were well chilled and the food was freshly prepared and tasty!

We had a wonderful evening with brilliant food. Fresh herbs and sophisticated compositions made this meal a delight. Everything was lovingly prepared and we were looked after in a very friendly and attentive manner. There was even a little greeting from the kitchen. I was particularly excited about the dessert because white chocolate combined with lovage was a special experience. It is probably these creations that make the dishes so special through regionality, freshness and sophistication without being “out there”. We would like to come again!

The food was very tasty and the service was very friendly. I had a bit of trouble finding the entrance, but after a call I was directed there. What I liked best was that the food was regional and seasonal and the green view from the balcony. If you want to experience something special, you will find it there.

Been there with 8 people. The welcome and service was great throughout. Just the right balance between advice, evening support and nonsense. The smoker at the table was unexpectedly 'served' a cigarette without asking because there was no vending machine nearby. Just the right amount of 'outlier' to maintain relaxed etiquette. The food was very good, despite high expectations. Good wines. Dessert selection could have been more varied. Otherwise, some music with acoustic regulation might have been nice.

It was an incredibly delicious and beautiful evening. The creations are unconventional and a taste experience. The location is hidden and dreamy and when the weather is good the garden space is a must. A small, tiny punjt deduction for the sanitary rooms, as the charm of the purveyor to the court was not continued there...small decorative items such as picture frames and vases would work perfectly here. We'll come back for that any time.
