Preise und Portionsgröße unschlagbar. Geschmack super. Tolle Mitarbeiter, freundlich mit charmanter großer Klappe, was wir sehr mögen. Echte deutsche Küche.

Eine klassische „altdeutsche“ Gaststube. Toller Service und super leckeres Essen! Wir hatten den Bötel und ein Schnitzel. Riesen Portionen und leckeres Bier vom Faß! Herz was willst du mehr!

Wir waren vor Kurzem in der Bötelstube und sind absolut begeistert! Das Essen war einfach hervorragend - typisch regional, frisch zubereitet und unglaublich lecker. Besonders der Bötel war perfekt gewürzt und wunderbar zart. Auch die Beilagen waren sehr geschmackvoll (lecker Erbspürree) und liebevoll angerichtet. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich, sodass man sich sofort wohlgefühlt hat. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und authentisch - genau das Richtige, wenn man traditionelle Küche in entspannter Umgebung genießen möchte. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Eine kultige Gaststätte, die noch immer das beste Eisbein ( und wahrscheinlich auch größte) in der Region zubereitet. Bei den netten und aufmerksamen Wirtsleuten, fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Meiner Frau wurde Rinderleber empfohlen und man hat damit nicht zuviel versprochen! Einfach nur lecker. Wer deutsches Essen mag, ist in der Bötelstube absolut an der richtigen Adresse. Wir können diese Gaststätte ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Es sollte eine Feier in kleiner Runde werden. Nachdem wir geschlagene 1.5 Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet hatten, bekamen wir es. Das Essen war ungenießbar, da dreiviertel des Essens eiskalt war. Kalte pappig schmeckende Pommes, alter Salat und lauwarme Champions auf einem lauwarmen Schnitzel. Einfach nur zum abgewöhnen. Nie wieder. Ich kann nur abraten, dort zu essen.

Ein äußerst authentisches, familiengeführtes Restaurant. Das Essen war köstlich und hervorragend zubereitet. Wir waren mit Freunden dort und hatten eine schöne Zeit.

Essen und Service top. Das Ambiente ist zeitlich irgendwie stehengeblieben aber wahrscheinlich macht es dadurch auch den Rest authentisch. Einfach toll!

Ich wollte während meines Deutschlandaufenthalts etwas Traditionelles essen und bin deshalb während meines Stadtbesuchs in dieses Lokal gegangen. Meine Schwester, meine Mutter und ich aßen zwei Suppen, zwei Hauptgerichte, ein Dessert und drei Bier! Alles für insgesamt 64 €. Es war absolut köstlich; ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben so gutes Sauerkraut gegessen. Die Atmosphäre war sehr freundlich und der Empfang war herzlich, dank der Tochter des Geschäftsführers, die sich die Mühe machte, auf Französisch mit uns zu sprechen.

Auf unserer Durchreise durch Magdeburg wollten wir lokales Essen probieren, aber lokales Essen kann je nach Budget etwas teuer sein. Wir wählten dieses Restaurant eher zufällig, weil es kalt war und wir etwas Warmes wollten. Wir wurden von einem Herrn (ich nehme an, dem Geschäftsführer) begrüßt, der imposant aussah, aber tatsächlich sehr herzlich war. Seine Tochter, die ein wenig Französisch sprach, gab uns einige tolle Empfehlungen; sie war charmant und freundlich. Wir aßen die Festtagssuppe, die herzhaft und sehr gut war. Wir aßen den Schnitzelhamburger, ein paniertes Kotelett mit Salat und Kartoffeln, und eine Minihaxe (Mini nur dem Namen nach), eine Entenkeule mit Sauerkraut und gedämpften Kartoffeln. Zum Nachtisch hatten wir ein Schokoeis Verporten, ein Schokoladen-Schlagsahneeis mit alkoholischer Crème Anglaise. Sehr gut, aber Vorsicht, es ist ziemlich alkoholisch. Wir machten eine wunderbare kulinarische Entdeckung in einem charmanten und schön eingerichteten Restaurant. Das Essen war köstlich, eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion, reichlich und mit großzügigen Portionen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war wirklich hervorragend. Der Service war freundlich und wir fühlten uns wie zu Hause. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant sowohl Einheimischen als auch Touristen. Wir bestellten zwei Vorspeisen, zwei Hauptgerichte, ein Dessert und drei Bier. Wir konnten uns die Gerichte teilen, was nett war (und nicht in allen Restaurants erlaubt ist), und es kostete uns 64 €, was angemessen ist.

We went with friends to eat bötel with Lehm (pea puree) and Stroh (sauerkraut). It was really well done. Actually, one pork knuckle would have been enough for two.

Here you can find delicious German home cooking in a pleasant atmosphere...I had the Magdeburg-style Bötel and was completely satisfied, although the portion may have been a bit too large.

Rarely have I eaten such a perfect schnitzel.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food or service, as the restaurant closed at 8:00 PM on Monday. However, it was supposed to be open until 9:00 PM. Okay, if you can afford it, and I thought the restaurant industry wasn't doing well.

Incredible restaurant! Serves traditional german food. I wanted to have very german experience by the food and I got it. Huuuuuge dishes!!! You just cant leave as still hungry from this place. So if you want experience traditional food from germany, come to this place! 👍🏻

Bad food, mediocre service. I ordered THE recommended Bötel (meatball). The meat was okay. The sauerkraut tasted like it came from a can, just warmed up. The gravy was tough and too salty. My husband ordered a schnitzel with fried potatoes. Since several other guests had already ordered fried potatoes, my husband had to make do with fries. They said the kitchen couldn't make any more fried potatoes. The schnitzel was about 2 cm thick and inedible. We were visiting Magdeburg and relied on the restaurant's website. A mistake!

We went to lunch with a tour group of 37 people and can't understand the negative reviews! They were very friendly and served us well. The food arrived promptly and is highly recommended!

We love coming here, the schnitzels are nice and thick and juicy like grandma used to make. After the main course and a delicious Pilsner Urquell on tap, I have never gone home hungry and if you want to really let it rip, you can order a Böttel. No frills, no overloaded menu, it's always worth taking a look at the changing daily specials and when mom made brawn it was always a celebration. Yes, there are little problems with the side dishes every now and then and the rule "don't order fries" but it can't be that bad if we keep coming back and are always happy and full at the end.

We were in the Bötelstubel for the first time. The first impression will also remain the last. The waitress was annoyed that we ordered a table with another 10 people. There were 13 of us together and we were the only guests. The menu leaves a lot to be desired. There are only a few dishes to choose from. 10 people from our table ordered food, while we came a few minutes later and also ordered immediately, our food came so late that everyone else had already empty their plates. The portions were excessive. The schnitzel meat was much too thick (at least 2cm), the fries were hard - they were simply warmed up again in the deep fryer (we know that from experience). If I had wanted to eat cookies, I would have brought them with me. Not enough sauce for the asparagus. No extra pot. My husband ordered potatoes instead of fries for the Viennese “Art” schnitzel. Fried potatoes were served. You can't go wrong with cola, water and beer. The Aperol and Wildberry Lillie were so well. Have had better ones. No ice cream or dessert on offer. Excessive prices. Conclusion once and never again.

Excellent asparagus menu, super tasty and cooked to perfection! The rat plate was also very delicious and the portions are absolutely good. Highly recommended! The beer tastes just as good. The service was super nice and not intrusive as is often the case.

We ate very tasty food. Magdeburger Bötel, pumpkin soup and mini knuckle. The food tasted perfect. There were no long waiting times. The meat was tender and we thought it was good value for money. It should be said that payment can only be made either in cash or via PayPal. Card payments are not possible. The service was extremely friendly. We'd love to come back. Added on 01/06/25 There were no complaints today either. As always, the food was very tasty and the wait staff always put us in a good mood with their jokes.

Good selection of drinks, relatively small menu of dishes (currently Christmas selection), but tasty, only meat, some tables are very close together, waiting time (order, drinks, bill) sometimes a bit long, but the food is delivered very quickly ( Advantage of the small card), cash and PayPal payments possible, unfortunately no card payment

We pre-ordered and arrived at the restaurant happily, we received our menus and were negatively amazed. It was Advent, but it was still a shame that there were only about 8 dishes, 2 of which were soups and the rest were stuff with goose or duck. There was nothing to eat for any of us, when we asked for other food, the waitress said: "There's only what's on the menu." There weren't even fries. Of course we left straight away.

Well, we would like to rate the food, but we have been waiting for our food for over an hour after ordering. When asked how long we would have to expect, the boss replied "it will take a while until it's finished". Not a nice answer in my opinion. The waiter also apologized for it.

We had a very successful girls' evening. The cuisine is perfect, portions and prices are right. Always happy, where else can you find good German cuisine... kebab ahoy 😁

The four of us had dinner in the Bötelstube late at lunchtime yesterday and agreed: the welcome, the service, the food, everything was great and there was nothing to complain about at all. The innkeeper has his own charm and funny sayings. We can fully recommend the Bötelstube.

The food (we had the Bötel and Hammburger Schnitzel) was very tasty. They were large portions. The waitress was very hardworking and very friendly despite the stress. It is highly recommended for home-style dishes. The ambience could be made a little more rustic/cozy (e.g. with curtains on the windows) but that's a matter of taste ;)

The service deserves 12 out of 10 stars and an extra one from me!!! Otherwise clear map (I like it!). Good hearty “home cooking” in appropriate portion sizes at a top price-performance ratio.

The pork knuckle was very tasty and sufficient. We were served quickly and very nicely. Despite this, the restaurant was well filled. I can only recommend it. And prices you still pay.

It's really a shame what has become of the Bötelstube. On Friday we had an appointment in MD. I often ate here about 20 years ago and it was great back then, so I quickly invited my companion to have lunch here. Already, the almost deserted restaurant should have made me suspicious. But no, we sat down and chose the “roast pork with sauerkraut and Bohemian dumplings” from the fairly clear selection of dishes. We each received our plate of sauerkraut, dumplings and two large slices of pork with fatty rind in a jelly-like sauce. For my taste: The dumplings were like rubber, which had nothing to do with what you get in Bohemia. From the feel of it, I thought they were just warmed up in the microwave. The sauerkraut is reminiscent of a finished product from a jar, no varnish, no taste and no binding whatsoever in the mass. But the worst part for me was the roast. Although roast is the wrong word, there were no roast flavors, it was like a piece of just cooked pork shoulder. The meat was tough and my companion's piece was still almost raw in the middle. We were hardly able to cut anything off with the knife. The chef, or whoever prepared the food, should have noticed this when cutting it. I found the jelly-like sauce to be unseasoned and incorrectly thickened. We then complained about the food and were then given a meal waiver when we paid. But that was it. There was no proper apology and no question as to whether we would like to eat anything else. But ultimately the food matches the ambience. Not 100 meters as the crow flies to the MD city hall, I expect something better.

Of course, it's no one's fault that the patio chairs were locked on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The braised knuckle was very good and more than enough. The sauerkraut from the jar, the potatoes poor and the sauce gel-like. So actually €25 for a good knuckle. The flop of the day, however, was the salad which consisted of peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes. The pepper still had the core and seeds inside. The green stalk is still in the quartered tomatoes. A clear sign of the kitchen: “I’m not in the mood for the order right now!” The tomato soup for €5.50 is most likely frozen or canned. However, it is not homemade in terms of taste and consistency. Since there was no query from service, this feedback could only be given at the end of the meal. It was Saturday, 6 p.m., sunny at the old market. So you should assume that the kitchen and service would not be prepared for customers shortly before closing time or otherwise. Too bad.

We were passing through Magdeburg and were looking for delicious food and came across the Bötelstube. Judging by the reviews, the food there should be very tasty. I chose the loose sausage with potatoes and sauerkraut. I know and love the dish Himmel und Äd from Cologne and was looking forward to ordering it. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The loose sausage was oversalted and the potatoes were warmed up from the lecture. I was super disappointed and hunger drove it down.

We spontaneously ate here today and were very satisfied. The portions are large and the taste is very good...the service is super friendly...in short, everything is perfect

Today just for an Alster and a beer in the shade, but otherwise highly recommended because of the down-to-earth, tasty dishes.

Two wonderful days in Magdeburg and I ate here in the evening. Good home cooking was important to me. I ate homemade brawn with fried potatoes, very tasty 😋 and the dish was served very friendly. On my next visit, I'd be happy to come back.

It sounded wonderful when the schnitzel was pounded. The food prepared to perfection. The potatoes fork firmly the fried potatoes light crust. So for those who love schnitzel, asparagus and potatoes, your taste buds will be happy here.

Probably the best German restaurant I've been to in a long time. TOP service Ambient Top fits perfectly into the old town (historic market). FOOD My food was REALLY GOOD. My special requests were also taken into account (some of them not on the menu) as soon as I was back in Magdeburg.

Quaint restaurant in the heart of Magdeburg. Directly at the town hall. Small but nice card. Schnitzel with asparagus is delicious, asparagus to the point. The side salad for 5.50 euros is awesome!!! Price-performance more than adequate. Friendly, attentive service. Everything is great! The only criticism: it's better to put nothing on the table instead of plastic flowers ;)

For anyone who wants to eat a local dish, the Bötelstube is a MUST. If you want to experience a warm, original team, the Bötelstube is also a MUST! We were there 3 days ago and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The landlord is very attentive and always has a cheerful saying for the guests. Meanwhile, the kitchen conjured up a delicious schnitzel, Viennese style, with very tasty fries and a very tasty salad as a side dish, as well as the specialty Bötel with clay and straw, which was also reported to be very tasty. The portions are more than generous and the value for money is absolutely justified. We'd love to come back when we're in the area again.

Am very disappointed. The Bötelstube is number one in the area. Nevertheless, the range of Bötel (cooked), Haxe (grilled) and Kassler Haxe smoked and cooked is very poor. Bad... there is no real Magdeburger Bötel in this restaurant. Only goods from the wholesale market. Mini knuckles and Kasslesbötel are not recommended. Food went back. It's a real shame, I still know this Bötelstube as a Bötelstube!!!!!!!

Unfortunately only one star overall 🌟 in short. Small central restaurant in a rustic style. Everyone was very polite and nice. Unfortunately the meal of the day = goulash was inedible for me. It was mixed goulash and it was 95% pork and the rest a bit of beef. Also okay. But unfortunately the pork was only covered in fat. Yes, exactly fat and the rind and no meat. Sorry that was nothing, unfortunately I couldn't eat it and had to put it aside. Bohemian dumplings were more finished, but they were good and fit. Salad was manageable. Unfortunately the food and drinks were nothing. When asked if it tasted good, I explained this. There was no answer or anything like that. You could see it and the kitchen staff were sitting at the table. You could have a coffee or a reduced price would be good. So pay and leave. Unfortunately, no card payment is possible (regardless of whether Visa or EC) but a laminated piece of paper with a QR code was promptly sent to Paypal. Better than nothing, but Paypal friends is weird. Well, unfortunately for me, the last time.

Waiting over an hour for food. When asked after 1 hour, the only answer was “you can see what needs to be done”. Not all the tables were occupied! Food is okay, just a little cold and the fries were burnt.

Rustikales Restaurant mit freundlicher Bedienung und lecker Essen

Sehr freundliches Personal und das Grünkohlgericht hatte gut geschmeckt. Die Portionsgöße bei diesem Gericht war gut. Meine Koillegen hatten Entenkeule mit Rotkohl und Klößen oder Kroketten. Vier Kroketten auf einem Teller war ganz schön dürftig. Die Portionen waren sehr klein und das für 22€! Leider ist auch keine Kartenzahlung möglich! Die Adventskarte war sehr klein, nicht mal das Hamburger Schnitzel wurde angeboten. Wir waren insgesamt enttäuscht.

Hmmmm schwierig... sagen wir mal so, 24,50 ist nicht gerechtfertigt. Die Sauce extrem langweilig, zu dickflüssig und geschmacklos.... Das Wildragout, eher ein Gulasch, Fleisch abwechslungsreich... Personal dennoch sehr angenehm...

Hätte ich gerne gehabt die Untergrenze vorgeschlagenen Gerichte. Es gab eine Adventskarte.Wovon 2 Gerichte nicht mehr gab abends um 18 Uhr. Ich hatte den sogenannten Festbraten.Ich verstehe darunter einen Rinderbraten, es gab aber Kassler und Krustenbraten.Alles in allen enttäuschend.

Hier kocht die Mutti noch selbst. Ein schönes Ambiente mit freundlichen Personal im familienbetriebenen Restaurant. Die Portionen sind sehr ausreichend und vor allen schmackhaft. Ein Muss, wer die magdeburgerische Küche kennenlernen will.

Ich war seit langem mal wieder in der Bötelstube und war wirklich sehr zufrieden , das Essen ist noch genau so gut wie ich es in Erinnerung habe . Wenn ich mal wieder in Magdeburg bin werde ich auf jeden Fall dort wieder einkehren .
