Very good restaurant in the middle of Illertissen. The staff is above average and the food was very tasty and fresh. However, the fries were a bit too salty and the salad could have used a little more dressing (maybe olive oil). Still highly recommended!

Wir hatten eine Geburtstagsfeier mit ca 20 Gästen dort. Die Bedienungen waren stets bemüht guten Service zu leisten, jedoch war die zeitliche Planung nicht so gut. Teilweise waren manche Personen schon bei der Hauptspeise als andere noch nicht mal ihre Vorspeise hatten, manche Bestellungen wurden vergessen bzw erst nach dem 3 mal Nachfragen serviert worden. Geschmacklich war es okay.

Full marks for the “Altes Posthalterhaus” in Illertissen. One thing is for sure, I'll be back.

Same place, just no longer a Greek restaurant but German cuisine. Was a little disappointed with my salad. Crispy chicken riggy but a bit too salty for me (a matter of taste) and the mustard-honey house dressing wasn't mine. The salad needed/deserved something lighter. Service attentive but always someone different. Maybe it was because of the busyness in the beer garden.

I ordered the burger and there was no bacon on the menu. I got a burger with bacon, which I can't eat. My friend also ordered spaetzle as a side dish, but got fries. Since the service was very nice, we didn't complain about the order. Unfortunately, the errors are easy to fix.

We came across this restaurant while passing through. The ambience is home-style and stylish at the same time. The large beer garden is also very nice. The staff was always friendly. The regionally focused menu offers something for everyone. Our dishes including starters were very good. So if you want to eat very well in Illertissen, you should do it here.

Nice beer garden with greenery. Eat well and generous portions, even starters are plentiful. Nice service, albeit minor problems with orders, waiting time for main courses 90 minutes+. Bring plenty of time. Prices good for portion sizes.

The food is good but the service leaves something to be desired. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our drinks. However, the burger we had was surprisingly good and deserved praise.

The food was very good, if you want to find a criticism, the fries were a little too salty, but I like to eat them with a lot of ketchup anyway so it's not a problem at all and it wasn't too extreme. The baked potato was a dream. The waitresses were very friendly and were always within sight or came quickly as soon as the food was empty. The beer garden is also very nice and somewhat hidden. Very tasty German cuisine. Food for the kids came in advance - great! Warm plates, food for the adults came together. Unfortunately, not everyone can do that again No credit card payment. For me it's part of the service today.

Sehr netter Service, gutes und raffiniertes Essen, riesige Portionen, gute Qualität der Speisen, gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis, super gemütliches Interieur mit viel Liebe zum Detail im historisch eindrucksvollen Gebäude, saubere und gepflegte Sanitärbereiche, echter gemütlicher Biergarten unter Kastanien, genügend Parkplätze. Viel Ambiente und Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück (ab 08:00 Uhr!) ist sensationell und kein Allerweltsfrühstück, viel Auswahl. Gute Öffnungszeiten. Waren jetzt das 4. mal dort und jedes mal sehr zufrieden, weiter so und viel Erfolg! Für uns die Nummer 1 in Illertissen. Kommen gerne wieder.

The food was actually good, but unfortunately we had to wait a long time and guests who arrived later were served first, and one meal was even forgotten, so the wait was even longer. (Ps: greetings from the kitchen were delicious)

Nice atmosphere, very friendly service, fair prices. The minus point: We found the food completely unseasoned. Unfortunately, adding more salt and pepper wasn't enough.

One of the most beautiful restaurants I know... amazing ambience, the service team is great... and the kitchen... Very tasty... The schnitzel and cordon bleu had a great taste... that was a great piece of pork... the salad dressing was really tasty... as were the chicken pieces... real meat with fibers, etc. Keep it up....

Wenn man eine leckere Schwäbische Küche genießen möchte, dann können wir das Alte Posthalterhaus nur weiter empfehlen! Ob Rostbraten…leckere Salate…Suppen….etc….Wir haben mittlerweile die Speisekarte rauf und runter genossen😋 Es war stets zu unsrer vollen Zufriedenheit… einfach nur lecker! Vor allem das Ambiente sehr gemütlich, sauber, 👦 freundlich! Das Personal stets sehr aufmerksam 😀und auf das Wohl der Gäste bedacht. Also wir sind begeistert und werden immer gerne auf ein weiteren tollen Schmaus dort hin gehen! Alles TOP weiter so 👍 Ramona und Michel

Am satisfied with service and food. The portions are also larger than at the beginning. Only the menu could change from time to time, it has always been the same since the beginning. Seasonal changes, or occasional highlights. But otherwise it is recommended.

We arrived relatively late for lunch and were greeted and served in a very friendly manner. I even got the melted onions I wanted with my delicious onion roast. I can only recommend.

We went to the Posthalterhaus for breakfast today and were very satisfied. As moms, we also found it really great that you can have breakfast from 8 a.m. The large coachman's breakfast was completely sufficient. The only tiny drawback (which I also immediately complained about) are the salt shakers 🫣 We would love to come back 🤗

Were here for communion with a small family circle. The food was good and plentiful, the service was excellent and the ambience is unbeatable. Beautiful old walls with a noble touch.

We were there today for the first time since the change of ownership. We still love the ambience, wonderful beer garden including terrace! Our onion roast, burger and side salad arrived quite quickly, as did our drinks. The taste was really good, the only thing we had to complain about right from the start was the long dark hair in the side salad... of course a new side salad was brought to us straight away. Staff is friendly, empty plates could be cleared a little quicker and more attentively, but otherwise great. We'll definitely come back. Price/performance ratio is definitely right - sufficiently large people (even for men).

I was having breakfast with a friend. Everything was very tasty and the service was great. Unfortunately you get a lot of things like sausage, cheese, jam and...only 3 mini rolls/croissants. The rest it would be better normal size of the baked goods. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio of the mini baked goods does not justify this. Really “not” good. Salad from bucket. Ketchup and mayonnaise in packets for serving (totally harmful to the environment). Bad red wine, ordered Primitivo and got other booze. Got the wrong kind of beer. The staff is very nice, the atmosphere is great, but what's the point if everything else isn't right. I don't go there anymore. It's a real shame because the boss really has what it takes to run a great restaurant.

There were 18 of us registered and everything was very tasty and went relatively quickly even though the shop was packed on Saturday evening. Large portions and my schnitzel was very tasty. Plus the small side salad. We'll definitely eat there again. Very nice boss and a great team.

The ambience was nice, the service was poor and lacking clarity. Unfortunately the food was poor in terms of price and performance: 7 people at the table were dissatisfied...

Delicious food, but portions too small when it comes to side dishes. I ordered cheese spaetzle instead of fries with my Cordon Blue. For an additional charge of 2 euros, a larger portion should be on the plate. Otherwise everything was to our satisfaction.

After the change of host/owner - the Greeks no longer exist: you couldn't get a table without a reservation, even though there were many places available. You could definitely have accommodated two people on a Thursday at 6 p.m.

Super cozy, beautiful restaurant, delicious food and very friendly service

You are greeted very friendly and brought to the table. The map is clear, not overloaded. There should be something for everyone. The food (German cuisine since February 2024) tastes very good and the portions are sufficient. Reservations are strongly recommended. This evening many guests had to leave because everything was reserved. And that from 6 p.m. I think the prices are reasonable. The drinks aren't overpriced either and you're more likely to treat yourself to one more drink. I wish the owners and the team a good start. I'm looking forward to the summer, when the beer garden will hopefully be open again.

We were very excited about the restaurant after it reopened. A really great service awaited us, with a nice welcome, friendliness and speed. It couldn't be better. The atmosphere is great. ONLY the food offering definitely needs to be worked on. Unfortunately, the current situation is only snack bar level. This great restaurant doesn't need that.

Had dinner there yesterday after the reopening. Very nice, large guest room. We were served quickly and friendly. The service deserves more than 5 stars. Very child-friendly restaurant. But best of all was the food... we've never eaten anything so good and plentiful. The chef is a master in his field. There is also a beer garden there and we are already looking forward to it. With a playground for the children. We will be back.

Unfortunately, today's meal (onion roast and schnitzel) was subpar. We had to send it back and the new one we ordered just wasn't good either. Too bad. The staff is very attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is very nice...but unfortunately what counts is the food :-(

We were looking forward to a cozy evening in a beautiful atmosphere. Unfortunately, our expectations were deeply disappointed. The beef on both the roast and the coachman's plate was so tough that you couldn't even pierce it with a fork, let alone cut it. The vegetables were cold even after the second complaint. The evening was over. An absolute no go for the prices. In addition, you didn't find out anything about the prices before the card came to the table, because there is no card on display and there is no information on the website about what prices you can expect. I don't recommend it.

I had high expectations when I heard that there was a new restaurant with German cuisine in the area. Unfortunately, my expectations were disappointed. I was initially surprised by the new interior, it looked very pleasant, but when it came to eating I was disappointed. There were five of us and we ordered 6 meals in total. Due to various complications, 12 dishes were ultimately brought to the table, which, for example, were initially incorrectly booked or were inedible. I ordered the coachman's plate and the meat wasn't cuttable and couldn't be chewed. In addition, the vegetables were unseasoned and cold. A companion had exactly the same problems with the same dish. A family member ordered the onion roast which was also absolutely tough. Unfortunately my expectations were disappointed. I don't recommend it.

The most ungodly food I've ever eaten. The inside of the meat was raw and not edible, because the boss didn't care at all that the food was returned because of its quality because he was constantly pouring alcoholic drinks on himself at the bar. I can't recommend it.

The plan was to go out for Greek food until we found out that there were new tenants and that German cuisine was now being served. At first suspicious🤨 I have to say we were more than satisfied🙂. Food was a 10/10. The ambience of the predecessor was also a 12/10. For me and my husband it is by far one of the most beautiful restaurants in the Ulm area. The service was also very friendly and attentive. Keep it up and we will definitely visit you again soon.
