We were passing through the city of Bamberg. Late in the evening we ran through the beautiful city. Everything was already closed. We saw this pub working in passing. Delicious beer. Friendly and hospitable staff. Thank you for the mood and delicious food for travelers. Good clients and prosperity to you!!!
Was there for dinner with family, nice atmosphere, delicious food, affordable prices. Definitely a recommendation 👍 The grilled knuckle was unbeatably delicious. Real Bavarian 🍺. So everything was great, a clear recommendation for everyone who likes German Bavarian cuisine. Many thanks to the landlady and the innkeeper.
Ordered breast & leg twice at the goose dinner - unfortunately only a mini leg cut in half at the joint came on both plates. The apparent breast was the second part of the leg, joint & bones clearly visible.
Called the waiter and he asked in the kitchen - the succinct answer from the kitchen, Mr. Buchholz was personally in the kitchen: that would be a special cutting technique from Mr. Buchholz and he wouldn't have time to come to the table now...
Ok, there were only 2 occupied tables, the answer was a disgrace and then the more expensive plate price of breast + leg was charged twice - a bottomless impudence.
Just because we had invited our 80-year-old parents to goose dinner on our beloved Gutshof Britz premises and they really wanted to try out the restaurant, we didn't escalate the outrageousness of the kitchen any further in order not to further ruin the mood of the evening.
We and our parents will certainly never come back to the Buchholz restaurant!
The food here is delicious, and the price/performance ratio is good. I'm very satisfied and enjoy coming here often. The service is very friendly and courteous. I can only recommend this small steakhouse.
We were here at the end of December last year.
I used to really enjoy going to the Krone. Good food and Kirner beer.
That was our last visit. Even though there was nothing going on except for another table on the ground floor, we were placed on the third floor. Service took forever. The next disappointment came with the food. The schnitzel was way too small and burnt. With all of us. The fries couldn't save it either. And that for 20 (!) Euros. We would have liked to drink a second or third wheat beer afterwards, but as often as the conditions looked like we would have died of thirst by then if we hadn't taken the initiative ourselves.
The ambience is of course beyond question. A beautiful restaurant in terms of appearance.
Unfortunately no longer recommended! Too expensive for too little performance.
