Looking for a meal? Save yourself the trouble and quickly find something else. On Google and their own website, they say they're open every Monday from 12:00 to 21:00. They also neatly advertised, "We're going to have a little break until October 30, 2025. By October 31, we'll be back as usual for you." After a 7.5-hour drive, we were looking for a nice place to take a break and enjoy a meal. To our surprise, we found a closed door on Monday, November 10, just after 5:00 PM. The only advice is to skip it!

A charming inn with a beer garden, nestled in a green setting surrounded by fields and forest. A recurring favorite on our bike tour, serving Westerwald Krüstchen (traditional German sausages), Bauernpfanne (farmer's pancakes), and other dishes.

We had reserved a table outside for 6:30 p.m. yesterday, July 2, 2025. It's great that this is possible, thank you. The location, surrounded by greenery, is beautiful. The courtyard with its half-timbered houses and plants is very pretty. Incidentally, it wasn't our first time there. The four of us ordered our drinks and then our food. There were about 10-12 tables occupied. The drinks and food came quite quickly. The food was good. After dinner, we sat for about 20 minutes in front of our finished plates. The sun then came around, and it got quite warm at the table, in addition to the very summery temperature. The waitress didn't respond to hand signals or glances. We actually wanted more drinks—it was about 7:15 p.m., by the way—and to change tables. Eventually, we changed tables ourselves. This was noticed, we were reprimanded, and we weren't given the opportunity to order more drinks. Further hand signals from us were ignored or responded with shouts across the courtyard of "It's not your turn yet." The hand signals from other guests were also ignored. Around 8:00 p.m., our next table was occupied by a couple. They were greeted cheerfully with "Nice to see you," had a chat, and then promptly served. Incidentally, they also asked if they needed anything else after the food and drinks had already arrived. Our hand signals, which were less than 1.5 meters away, were not seen. When "our" old table number 24 was cleared by a young man at around 8:35 p.m. and we asked if we could perhaps get something to drink, we were informed that they were about to close. When we paid our bill, we gently said that it was a shame we weren't allowed to order any more drinks. The comment: "You saw what was going on here." We did, about 40 to max. 45 guests at the tables... and "Did you see me sitting?" We answered yes to one, no to the other. Incidentally, three of the four at our table used to work in service themselves. A little more would have been possible. A real shame. The motto: "Bad staff is harder to find than new guests."

Good, home-style cooking, rustic decor. Tasty food, friendly staff.

Very, very tasty cake, good service and good prices

This is a very nice, quiet place that's accessible on foot, but better by car. The food was absolutely fantastic—the croquettes were simply delicious, and my salad was truly delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Beautifully situated amidst woods and fields! A great base for hikers, cyclists, and dog walkers. The location offers good, home-style cooking, and there's also plenty on the menu for coffee and cake lovers.

The service was good. The chef was in love, the fries were slightly oversalted.

It gives you a holiday feeling; you could be somewhere in the Eifel. We felt very comfortable there and are raving about it. We'll be cycling there soon and enjoying the lovely beer garden. Thanks to the team and for the beautiful surroundings.

We were also guests with a larger group. The beer garden is lovely and inviting. Unfortunately, the food and the freshly tapped beer were on a completely different level. Unfortunately, the value for money isn't right here – definitely not a recommendation!

We were guests with a larger group. The beer garden is beautiful and invites you to linger. Unfortunately, the dishes were on a completely different level. The pork medallions with mushroom sauce were almost unseasoned, and the sauce was more like a roux and very mushy. The spaetzle also stuck together and tasted good when reheated. The turkey schnitzels were too salty, and only one of the three steaks was cooked to medium. I also found the prices of the asparagus dishes too high; a portion of asparagus with a 150-180g sirloin steak and potatoes costs €38.00. The service was also semi-professional in terms of competence and friendliness. I got my Pilsner on the third attempt, after being brought Alster and Radler, but only because I swapped with my colleague. Conclusion: The beer garden's cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for a drink. If you're looking for something to eat, we recommend other locations.

Very beautiful half-timbered house in the middle of the fields. Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated.

The asparagus was a “poem” (including schnitzel and potatoes), the quantity was right 😉, gladly again.

I'm only rating the service and the friendliness of the hosts here, as we hardly had the opportunity to order anything... The visit was on a weekend and the outside area wasn't crowded at all. A waiter came to us with the menus and asked directly what we wanted to drink. We were still undecided between coffee/cake and a beer, which I described directly as a joke - only the waiter turned around with an unfriendly expression and was gone before I could finish a word. In the next few minutes we had decided on coffee. Unfortunately the waiter simply ignored us. We sat there for a good ten minutes, and he took his time serving a few other guests, always with his back to us. In the end it was too stupid for me and we just left. So thanks for nothing...

Nice excursion restaurant in the Rumbachtal

I was there in winter with a group with several large dogs who were allowed in. It was very crowded, all the tables were occupied, and therefore very cramped and loud. We only had coffee, which was good. The waitress was probably alone and made every effort to serve everyone quickly and to walk around the dogs because they were in the way. As I said, tight. Nobody complained (because of the dogs) I think sitting outside in the summer is really nice and we'll try that too.

Were there today with a group of 16 people. Personally, it was my first time there, which is not surprising as it is very hidden and is almost considered an insider tip. Me and Menne had the onion soup beforehand, which was really tasty. In the main course, Menne had the Westerwälder Krüstchen and I had the tuber bowl. Goose breast, rump steak, turkey schnitzel and pike-perch were also represented at the table. Our opinions are consistently the same, here we come again. Everything was really tasty, at the table at the same time and the price/performance ratio was also completely fine. I'll take pictures on my next visit, today the focus was on conviviality.

A great place for hikers in the summer, not sure in the winter.

Unfortunately it was really bottom drawer, the food was more like that... Mhm I could also buy a ready-made dish and heat it up, you can die of thirst there if you don't know how to help yourself out loud and at least have a little patience... Just a shame... Cleaning of the place also left a lot to be desired, I was happy to have disinfectant wipes for the toilet for my kids.

Super great cake, but atmosphere -10. Unpleasant smells, very old but the food is really good. Nice staff and really tried hard. Had a rough party there. The room didn't work at all.

Hier kann man an jedem schönen Sommertag einkehren, ob zum Kaffee oder zu einem leckeren Abendessen. Hier ist es einfach wunderschön!!! Das Essen ist richtig lecker und die Getränke so wie man es sich nur wünschen kann. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und jugendlich und einfach charmant und aufmerksam. Aber auch im Herbst und Winter lohnt die Einkehr für herzhafte Wild- und Schmorgerichte!!! Weiter so!!! Eines der schönsten Gartenrestaurants In Mülheim!!!

This restaurant is very hidden and ideal for hikers and cyclists. After a strenuous tour on hot summer days, it's wonderful to enjoy fresh chanterelle pasta and cool ice cream. The staff is extremely friendly. I will definitely come back.

The Liebfrauenhof is a simple but cozy restaurant for hikers and cyclists. The ambience is simple, a little rustic and, to maintain the charm and tradition, antique. The service is friendly and responsive. The menu is clear and the dishes are prepared tasty. However, our fries were a bit salty. A private parking space is available for customers. March 2024

The beer garden/terrace is very nice. You can sit well there. The service is very friendly. Unfortunately, with our first order we waited 20 minutes for two drinks, with the second order it was even 50 minutes for two drinks. When we first asked after about 20 minutes, they said the drinks would come immediately. After another 30 minutes and after asking for the bill, it was explained that they had forgotten the drinks. The saying of a service employee: "I always have something quick for my regular customers, the others can wait" was suboptimal in this respect.

We rediscovered the cozy restaurant some time ago. The food is simply delicious and fresh. The service was warm and in a good mood. Kind of a short trip to the “GREEN”. Absolutely recommended if you still feel like hiking in the area afterwards.

A great memory of my childhood. On special occasions we always went there to eat with grandma and grandpa and family. I'll be back soon with my grandchildren. Thanks for letting me read it. P.S and I am almost 70 years old.

A true culinary gem! The Liebfrauenhof restaurant completely impressed us with its delicious cuisine and cozy atmosphere. The portions were generous and exactly as described on the menu. The half-timbered house, located somewhat out of the way with idyllic fields all around, gives the place a rustic touch. The clear but varied selection of dishes suggests that quality trumps quantity here. We tried different dishes and each one was a taste experience. Particularly worth mentioning is the loving attention to our little daughter - she was thrilled to have her own coloring menu with funny names for the menu selection. The decision to celebrate our older daughter's confirmation here was easy. The separate hall for such occasions offers a variety of options, from menus to buffets. The staff were extremely friendly, and some were also very open-hearted in their private lives. The flexibility and rich options for celebrations were made clear to us by a special flyer for events. Overall, a completely positive experience that we are happy to share. We are already looking forward to the confirmation ceremony and are sure that the Liebfrauenhof will do its best here too!

Unser diesjähriges Gansessen sollte mal was Besonderes sein, doch die Vorfreude war vergebens. Wir hatten uns mit Freunden verabredet und waren mit 7 Personen anwesend. Die Räumlichkeiten waren ganz nett und gemütlich, allerdings nicht wirklich gut beheizt. Da bei der Tischreservierung bereits angekündigt wurde, dass wir zum Gans-essen kommen, hatte man erst gar keine Speisekarte gereicht oder, vorab auf den Tisch gelegt. Bei der Bestellung wurde zusätzlich von einer Person ein Schälchen mit Preiselbeeren bestellt, worauf erst gar nicht reagiert wurde. Als das Essen dann gebracht wurde, waren die Preiselbeeren nicht dabei. Bei wiederholter Nachfrage sagte uns die Bedienung, dass diese auf dem Bratapfel zu finden sind, dem war aber nicht so. Nach dem Essen gab es keinen Espresso mehr, da die Kaffeemaschine schon aus war. Eine Dessertkarte wurde nicht gereicht und es wurde auch nicht gefragt ob jemand noch etwas möchte. Weitere Getränke ließen auf sich warten, so dass jemand der Kellnerin hinterher laufen musste. Um 20:30Uhr gab man uns dann den Hinweis, dass ab 21:00Uhr geschlossen ist. Um 20:45Uhr wurde dann schon mal die Heizung abgedreht. Das Essen war ganz in Ordnung, aber der Service war unfreundlich und in so einem Restaurant fehl am Platz. Wir haben dann den Abend in einem anderen Lokal ausklingen lassen.

We had 2 fantastic geese to go today. My special requests due to a nut and almond allergy were taken into account 100% and the corresponding changes to the side dishes tasted great. I ordered by phone. The price-performance ratio was excellent, especially since hardly anyone in the wider area offers fresh, fried goose and certainly not to go. Conclusion: Any time again.

The Liebfrauenhof, a listed half-timbered house, is somewhat hidden in the beautiful Rumbachtal. We celebrated our birthday there with 22 people in the room. The room is suitable for a maximum of 24 people, a little cramped but all the more comfortable. The food was very tasty and was particularly praised by the guests. The cappuccino also tasted wonderful. The rustic homemade dishes were decided upon in advance during a friendly consultation. The kitchen service therefore worked smoothly. The service was super friendly and attentive. The toilets are located in an annex building under the ballroom and are not so easy to reach for people with walking difficulties or older people because of the stairs. There was a slightly unpleasant smell there. The baby changing mat in the women's toilet needs to be replaced. The outside area could also use a little more care. When the weather is good you can sit there in the green. Dogs are allowed. All in all, the Liebfrauenhof is highly recommended.

Waren auf einer Hochzeit dort vor ein paar Wochen. Essen gut, Service okay. Allerdings ist mir aufgefallen, dass der Biergarten recht ungepflegt aussah. Auch die Toiletten müssten am Tag öfters kontrolliert werden. Papiertücher fehlten und es roch etwas unangenehm.

Schöner ruhiger Ort um entspannen und gut essen zu können

Wir haben nett gesessen, wurden aufmerksam und freundlich bedient und das Essen war lecker. Was will man mehr!? Machen wir nochmal! p.s.: das Bier hätte ein paar Grad weniger gut vertragen können, aber wie gesagt, wir kommen bestimmt wieder und werden auch unsere Freunde auf den Liebfrauenhof hinweisen.

Essen sehr gut, aber der innenhof müsste mal vom Gras und Unkraut befreit werden. Was unmöglich ist das ein Mitarbeiter durch den außenbereich läuft und nee schürtze u. Ein t Shirt anhat way aussieht wie ein Schwein. Versaut und das t Shirt ist dreckig. Also sowas ist eine Zumutung für den Gast und das haben abends einige gesagt. Auch der Geruch auf der Toilette ist nicht sehr angenehm. Wie gesagt essen gut , Bedienung sehr gut. Aber der Rest. Kommen nicht mehr wieder

Schönes Ausflugslokal im Rumbachtal. Wir waren an einem sonnigen Sonntag dort und das Restaurant war sehr gut gefüllt (zumindest die Außengastronomie, innen kann ich nicht beurteilen). Das Essen war schmackhaft, jedoch waren die Wartezeiten teils relativ lange, dafür hatten wir allerdings aufgrund der Vielzahl an Besuchern Verständnis. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr leckeres Restaurant, es ist etwas versteckt, aber wenn man einmal dort ist sitzt man schön im grünen. Wir hatten eine junge Kellnerin (dunkel Haare und eine Brille), die super freundlich und total pfiffig war.Klasse Service! Das Mittagessen war sehr lecker. Am Ende gab es noch ein leckeres Eis. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen :)

Wir hatten den Liebfrauehof in sehr guter Erinnerung, was sich nach unserem letzten Besuch leider geändert hat, obwohl der Biergarten immernoch einen besonderen Reiz hat und Ruhe/Gemütlichkeit ausstrahlt. Wir hätten uns bei der Bewirtung ein "wirklich frisch" gezapftes Bier, vielleicht ein Sitzkissen und eventuell einen Aschenbecher gewünscht...bis auf Erstes schnell selbst organisiert. Das leider für unseren Geschmack abgestandene Bier wurde ohne Bierdeckel o.ä. abgestellt und obwohl wir gern noch etwas Getrunken und auch Nachtisch bestellt hätten, bekamen wir unangefordert die Rechnung... Wir empfanden das als ...naja... unhöflich, ungewohnt und leider sehr Schade. Wir werden vermutlich nicht wieder kommen.

Wir haben zum Mittagessen draußen gesessen. - Sehr angenehmer "Biergarten" bei warmem Wetter! Das Essen war sehr gut, alle waren zufrieden.

Wir haben hier unsere Tauffeier ausgerichtet und es war wirklich toll. Draußen gesessen bei guten Wetter und dem tollen Ambiente 👍🍀leckeres Essen. danke dafür!

Bodenständiges Restaurant und Ausflugslokal, kleine Preise, leckere Brauhausküche

Tolles Restaurant, sehr schön draußen zu sitzen. Bedienung war höflich, schnell und gut. Toilette war gut.

Haben noch einen Tisch bekommen, haben in der Sonne gesessen und tatsächlich noch ein Getränk bekommen. Bestellung fürs Essen aufgegeben und dann wurden wir 30 Minuten vom Kellner ignoriert.Nachdem Gäste, die deutlich nach uns gekommen waren, ihr Essen bereits bekommen hatten, dachten wir uns mal nachzufragen. Man hatte vergessen unsere Essenbestellung in die Küche zu geben. Also haben wir 7,90 € für die zwei Getränke bezahlt, es gab ja auch zwischendurch nichts mehr zu trinken, alles war wichtiger als der Gast, man hatte mehr Zeit die Hund mit Wasser zu versorgen als die Gäste und so hieß es für uns ab ins nächste Lokal. Man konnte so feststellen, dass es wirklich an fähigen Personal in der Gastronomie mangelt. Ob es sich lohnt hier hin zu gehen kann man nicht beurteilen, da es einem leider verweigert wurde hier zu essen. Wie man an anderen Tischen auch feststellen konnte gingen viele zum bezahlen in die Stube, da die Kellner leider komplett überfordert waren und noch nicht einma am Tisch kassieren konnten. Wirklich schade und das der Oberkellner mit Krawatte diese Umstände nicht mitbekommen hat oder wollte ist definitiv nicht tragbar. Da wir mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs waren sind wir halt ins Sierra Nevada gefahren wo es tatsächlich noch fähige Gastronomen und Kellner gibt.

Gestern durfte endlich wieder die Außengastronomie öffnen! Einen grandiosen Neustart erlebte ich gestern Abend mit Freunden auf der gemütlichen Terrasse des Liebfrauenhofes. Der sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Service brachte fantastische Spargelsuppen, ein auf den Punkt perfekt gegartes und köstliches Spargelgericht und schmackhafte Westerwälder Krüstchen. Danke für diesen schönen und leckeren Abend!

Wir waren nach einer kurzen telefonischen Reservierung zu 6. In mitten des schönen Bauernhof-Hof vor Ort. Bedienung nett höflich zuvorkommend und eifrig! Essen und Getränke kamen zeitnah und in klasse Qualität. Anrichtung Menge und Geschmack passte! Auch zu Fuß oder wie die anderen Gäste mittels Oldtimer gut zu erreichen und ein echter Geheimtipp im Rumbachtal! Immer wieder gerne!

Dass dieses etwas abgelegene Mülheimer Restaurant einen gemütlichen Biergarten besitzt, war uns bekannt, dass man dort auch ganz passabel speisen kann, war uns aber neu bzw. war uns nicht so in Erinnerung geblieben. Nachdem uns Freunde darauf aufmerksam gemacht hatten, dass sich diesbezüglich etwas geändert hätte, waren wir (nach Jahren) mal wieder dort und bezüglich des Essens positiv überrascht. Die Speisekarte (incl. veganer Gerichte) ist deutlich geschrumpft und die Preise liegen etwas über dem Durchschnitt Mülheimer Ausflugslokale, was allerdings auch für die Qualität der Speisen zutrifft. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Wir würden hier ggf. wieder einkehren.

Leckeres Essen, super Location von Feldern und Wald umgeben. Mehrfach im Jahr gibt es dort Live-Musik mit Grill-Buffet. Empfehlenswert!

Der Liebfrauenhof ist eine empfehlenswerte Location. Das Restaurant ist in einem alten Fachwerkhaus untergebracht und liegt im Grünen. Das Essen ist lecker und der Preis angemessen. In der wärmeren Jahreszeit gibt es Open-Air-Konzerte.
