We have been coming to this restaurant for many years whenever we are in Hamburg. It was like coming home. The dishes simple but very tasty and honest. Now we were there for the first time since the change of ownership. Unfortunately, all the dishes we loved were missing from the menu. Nevertheless, the menu was appealing and we were open to new things. We ordered the bread as a starter and a main course each. We were particularly looking forward to the mashed potatoes as a side dish. The main course arrived and unfortunately there was only a little less than a teaspoon of the side dish to be found. The taste was very good and that's why it's a shame. Why do you save on the cheapest side dish? The ox cheeks were good, but not as tender as they deserved to be. When I mentioned when clearing away the main course that the side dish was almost impossible to find, I was told that this main course was only part of the menu and that's why there was so little. Why do I pay 26 euros for a main course if it isn't a main course? Then why do you offer a main course? Everything takes time. We hope that this very special restaurant will be back to what it was. -I'd be happy to wear this new, more beautiful and younger outfit...

Very nice atmosphere, always a pleasure

A very nice rustic restaurant. The food was very tasty and the portions were sufficient. The conditions were very friendly and we kept asking if everything was okay. But it wasn't intrusive. Our grandma also liked and enjoyed it here. The toilets were clean and modern. The restaurant was also clean and tidy. In summer you can also sit in front of it in the beer garden. Even the second time it remained delicious. Only that we were in the vault in the basement, a nice atmosphere that invites you to celebrate.

It is not possible to pay by card! The waiter was very unfriendly. There is another restaurant nearby, I recommend it to you!

Being in a country where we didn’t speak the language made us so nervous to find a restaurant. We happened upon this place and are so glad we did! Our waitress was so patient with our questions and even provided us with a menu in English. The food was delicious and we had a great experience here!

The concept has its charm. Unfortunately, the potato salad that came with one of my tapas didn't taste very fresh anymore. The 'carbonic acid'-like biting was not only noticed by me, but also by two fellow guests at our table. We also expressed this impression in a friendly manner and received just as friendly feedback that no problem could be identified after testing in the kitchen. There was either a change of potato salad buckets in between, or a fear of admitting a problem. As I said, everything was friendly and polite, but I wouldn't go to the Tafeldeckers a second time.

Nice restaurant with great ambience. Super child and animal friendly. There is a good selection of dishes for vegetarians and the service is good. We'd love to come back.

Kein gutes Essen sehr unfreundlich kommt zu keiner Einsicht wenn Mann en erklär das es fertig und versalzen ist und das bei drei verschiedenen Gerichten

Wunderbar gemütliche Atmosphäre in einem uralten Haus, dass seinen Charme nie verloren hat. Die Fusion aus gutbürgerlich und Sushi im alten Gebälk mutig bis erfrischend speziell! Bedienung war sehr herzlich und schnell. Das Essen war sehr lecker! Es könnten noch Kleinigkeiten optimiert werden: Zum Burata Salat beispielsweise hätte Salz und Brot ohne Nachfragen dazu gereicht werden können. Gerne wieder!

Super nice service and the view is fantastic

Cozy pub with very good food. The selection of vegan dishes is great, the burger was very tasty. We were there on Wednesday for “Burger Day”, the menu was great value for money :)

Surprised to see so many good reviews, my experience was quite different: schnitzel was very sub-par and the salad was dry leaves. Facility is quite pretty, though, and traditional.
