Ratskeller Waren in Waren (Müritz)

One of the most charming restaurants in Waren. The decor is very rustic, and there's always something to see. They serve traditional Mecklenburg cuisine, and it tastes really good – and in true Mecklenburg style, the portions are very generous. The service is always attentive and friendly. We, as locals, are frequent guests and always happy to return. It's definitely worth making a reservation; in the summer, you can sit outside – and it's also quite busy in the winter.

New Year's Eve at the Ratskeller... We had a time slot and were allowed to stay until just before 8 p.m. This was known beforehand and perfectly fine with us. The ambiance is truly lovely. Up until now, we'd only ever sat in the front part of the restaurant with a view outside. But this time we were able to sit a little further inside. The food was excellent, plentiful, and very tasty. Our only criticism is the rather high price of the drinks. The food prices are relatively normal. We'll definitely be back.

Everything was great. The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was delicious. However, one major point of criticism is the price of non-alcoholic drinks. When a 0.5L beer is cheaper than a 0.4L cola that costs €6.10, something is definitely wrong in my opinion. This needs to be improved.

Since we arrived in the early evening, we were lucky, and despite having reserved tables, a very friendly waiter showed us to one! We had half a duck, red cabbage with onions, and dumplings! It was absolutely delicious! If you like duck, this is a must! The staff are very friendly, communicative, and attentive! We would definitely come back if our vacation plans take us to the area!

We spontaneously decided to eat there. Initially, we were a little skeptical because the waiter seemed rather unenthusiastic about offering us a table. However, the waitress quickly remedied this. She was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food was all very good! Good, honest cuisine. Tasty and at a fair price.

We ate at the Ratskeller Brewery Inn twice and were very satisfied each time. The food was delicious and freshly prepared, the portions were generous, and they even offer smaller portions for seniors, which was perfect for my mother. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and the menu truly offers something for everyone – vegetarian dishes as well as hearty meat dishes. The cozy atmosphere perfectly complements the regional cuisine. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back!

A fantastic restaurant in the heart of Waren's old town. Perfect for a romantic dinner for two. Reservations are highly recommended. The decor and style are truly unique. Quaint and cozy. You're not seated in the middle of a room. There are different areas, and you always feel a sense of privacy. Whether you're dining as a couple or in a larger group, it's a great choice. The staff is superb. Fast, friendly, and quick to respond. They notice when you need a refill or if you'd like something different. There's something for everyone. Fish, salads, large portions, small portions, vegetarian options, hearty dishes, and local specialties. The drinks menu is just as varied. The food arrived incredibly fast, yet was still very fresh and delicious. And above all, the portions were generous. And you absolutely must try the Kerbis Müritztropfen liqueur! A fantastic restaurant. Excellent service. Delicious food. You'll feel right at home.

Unfortunately, the spiced meat was completely poorly prepared; as you can see in the picture, the roux is completely lumpy. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she responded with a completely rude tone. It's a shame, we've only heard good things about the Ratskeller.

Unfortunately, after our first drink, just under an hour before closing time, we weren't allowed to order anything else and were asked to leave. They were saying they were closing early today. It's nice to know the restaurant industry is doing so well!

Very good food, service is okay. It's best to make a reservation early, otherwise you'll have to wait. You have to stand at the door anyway and be escorted to your table. You can always sit outside as soon as there's space.

A very nice brewery restaurant. The name is misleading; they don't brew their own beer here, but rather serve Lübzer beer on tap. However, this doesn't detract from the experience in any way. The service is warm and attentive, even child-friendly; guests always feel well looked after and cared for. 🍽️ The food is hearty and substantial, typical of a brewery restaurant. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. The children's menu also offers a wide selection, and special requests are readily accommodated. 📆 Reservations are highly recommended; the restaurant is rightly very busy and booked.

Four of us wanted to go out to dinner there this evening...at 8:20 p.m. we were told that the kitchen was already closed...😂😂...that's the spa town...you're probably already full with a beer costing just under €6...but times will surely change for end customers...in Italy during the off-season, restaurants in tourist areas usually only open at 7 p.m....but that's just a side note...if you do manage to go there for dinner during nursing home hours, the food will still be delicious...even if the prices are pretty high.

The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, or fried eggs—every wish was fulfilled. We also ate à la carte several times in the evening, and the food was also excellent! The stairs up to the rooms in the evening were quite strenuous and not suitable for people with disabilities. However, this is also pointed out in the hotel description! Our conclusion: We had a wonderful week in Waren and also at the Ratskeller. Best wishes to the Kerber family and team, we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back to Waren—and then to the Ratskeller!

Well, nothing really to complain about, friendly staff, but nothing special for the not-so-small price.

We were there with 10 people, and the service was extremely unfriendly. Portions were okay, but the taste wasn't particularly outstanding. The ambiance was nice, though. Unfortunately, the vegetable platter, which had specially vegan stuffed peppers, was served with a non-vegan sauce. The only vegan dish was completely ruined. It's really sad that there are no vegan options these days.

We come here every year for brunch after our family reunion. We've never been disappointed. The price/performance ratio is right. The ambiance and service are excellent. We were and remain satisfied. That's what gastronomy is all about.

We enjoy coming to Waren every year and have always enjoyed our visit to the Ratskeller. This year, however, we were very disappointed. We went there last Sunday evening. Unfortunately, the food this time was really not great. The sauerfleisch was very tough, and the fried potatoes on every plate at our table were very scorched. They had obviously been on the pan for a while and were barely edible. We pointed this out to the service staff, and their only comment was, "We'll point it out to the kitchen." So the scorched fried potatoes were cleared away. A small gesture of apology would have been nice. Oh well, we probably won't be coming back.

The Ratskeller is quaint and cozy, with plenty of tables spread over two floors. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily we got a table. The restaurant was very busy during the week! Our server was very friendly and attentive. We all enjoyed the main courses, and the portion sizes were more than sufficient! The starter soup, cream of chanterelle mushroom soup, was a bit disappointing. It was bland, almost flavorless. We had it twice, but we both felt that way. But since everything else was perfect, this shouldn't detract from the rating!

Top, really, highly recommended! I was recommended the "dead grandma". I was pregnant between pork knuckle and this one, even though it was cheaper, and she advised me about the great conditions for the food. "You can eat pork knuckle anywhere," was her comment. A really great tip from her, no regrets, always happy to go back. Folks, if you go, enjoy it, price/performance ratio 1 +++ oh yes folks, but I would reserve a table!!!!!!!!!

Wow, during our 14-day vacation around the lakes, this restaurant was our favorite. It was very, very busy, so a reservation is definitely a good idea. But luckily, Ms. Balk made a touching effort to find a lovely spot for the three of us after a short wait. Even though it was really busy, she was very friendly, helpful, and always had a funny saying ready. The food was amazing, some of the best I've had in years. I had the catfish fillet with chanterelles and fried potatoes, with a side of hollandaise sauce and a glass of wine that went perfectly with it (thanks to Ms. Balk's recommendation). A truly fantastic evening! Great food, great location, and wonderful service!

Simply amazing, amazing, amazing!! I've rarely sat and eaten so well. Unfortunately, the portions are a bit large for smaller stomachs... but they offer seniors' plates! Ate spiced sausage. Potatoes precooked from a jar, I think, hard as concrete. Grützwurst tasteless. Cutlery carelessly placed on a pile when brought. The steak was ok. Ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard from portion bags like at fast food are a no-go at those prices. But the location makes it possible, I think. I've eaten much better in Waren.

I give the food three stars. The "Stadtwappen" dish was previously a delicious Mecklenburg rib roast. I was really looking forward to it. Today's "Stadtwappen" was a stuffed neck roast, considerably drier and quite firm in the meat. It's a shame. Perhaps this negative change can be reversed. Super-friendly staff, even with a dog in mind. He was more likely to have something to drink than us humans. Beautifully decorated, just as you'd imagine a Ratskeller (town cellar). A lovely outdoor area too. It's fine that they only accept reservations for the inside; no stress if the weather isn't right for outside. For food and drink, this is one of the best places in Waren. We were extremely satisfied again after a three-year break. The food has improved in quality, and the service was very friendly. Everything went very quickly.

We spent three days here in Waren, including two evenings at the Ratskeller. The sauerfleisch (pork) is incredibly delicious and very plentiful. The service is super friendly and often has a good joke, which we really appreciated. We'd love to come back.

A very fitting ambiance is complemented by excellent cuisine and warm, attentive service. I highly recommend the Ratskeller. I ordered the "City Gardener's Vegetable Platter" and was very satisfied. I also tried the "Captain's Dinner" and "Treasurer's Dinner," which were also very delicious. My only criticism is the opulent ambiance. It can be a bit overwhelming at times. The golden wedding party would like to thank you very much for this wonderful evening. We wanted to reserve a table for a few people over the phone, and the staff immediately asked if it was a birthday. When we said it was a golden wedding anniversary as a small surprise party just for dinner, they immediately asked if they could decorate the table. The table and the room were perfect, and even a small dog was allowed to come along. They were super flexible, dog-friendly, and very friendly. It was fun, and we laughed a lot... including with the waiters 😊. The surprised golden couple was happy. The food was also delicious and plentiful, and the price was completely reasonable. The location in the middle of the market square is also top-notch. The ambiance in the room where we sat was simply amazing. We were extremely satisfied and would come back anytime. Thank you.
