Very slow, only one person was doing everything. The food is not bad but also not great, and it's not cheap for being pork schnitzel and very far from being upscale. I don't hate it, but I also don't understand how other people can like it so much. And of course, no card accepted...only cash -.-

Very good and plentiful food. Great selection and fun drinks menu on a large wine bottle. Old Berlin “kind of” service, very personable and makes the visit an experience. Really recommended!!! On the plan again for the next visit to Berlin.

Typically Berlin, from the warm, hearty hospitality to the delicious food. You have to experience it and taste it. We will be back!

The host took some getting used to. You have to like the pub humor and atmosphere. The map is manageable. The schnitzel is still good, but the plates are rather carelessly arranged.

The Schnitzelkönig is one of the real highlights in the “old east” of Berlin. Rustic furnishings, hearty food and good beers make your stay a wonderful experience. Particularly worthy of mention is the “Jägerschnitzel” made from a traditional GDR recipe. Those in the know know what this is and will enjoy it as much as I do.

The two of us ate there and each had an XL schnitzel. The schnitzel was ok. However, everything was swimming in oil. The schnitzel was fried and the fried potatoes were swimming in yellow oil. Well, all in all, nothing special. You don't have to go there again. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible either. An absurdity actually in 2024.

If you don't understand fun and sarcasm, you should eat somewhere else. The schnitzels are great as always and the service is exceptional. Very clumsy and cheeky but all with humor. When asked about a table for three, the eyes rolled at first. I had to laugh, the waiter was great.

I've always wanted to eat a huge schnitzel. Even though I'm currently losing weight, I dared to do it. I wasn't disappointed. It was a 600g part XXL and not dry. The fried potatoes were OK. The service was very good. Everyone very friendly. From the pre-order to the payment process. I asked for roses for my wife on the table and that worked. I will come back.....

The food wasn't cheap, but large portions and very tasty. During our stay, there were 8 of us, the lady at the counter was alone and it got crowded... Therefore 4 stars for the service, it was too much for one person. Ambience a bit old-fashioned but cozy.

Mass instead of class! The quality of the food is just bad. I ordered the Hamburger Schnitzel XL (€28.90). The schnitzel was completely gristly and consisted mainly of breadcrumbs, which is all it tasted like. The mixed vegetables were the cheapest frozen food and were still very hard, and there was also a ready-made sauce that tasted like chemicals. Fried potatoes were also frozen goods. The fried eggs were ok, but you can't go wrong with them. The male waiter is a typical Berlin snob and always has a saying, but that doesn't make up for the poor quality of the food. Toilets are also a disaster and smell like a filthy rest area toilet. The furnishings and ambience are more like a train station pub. I absolutely cannot understand the hype surrounding this place. Absolutely overpriced for this lousy quality. A restaurant also has to earn something, but charging €28.90 for the cheapest frozen food and breadcrumbs is usury! Once and never again the store will see me.

Simply great. The food was delicious 😋 and the waiter, a real Berliner, was funny, attentive and in such a good mood that you could really switch off from everyday life. We will eat there again soon. Thanks also to the kitchen.

Still delicious food. The operation is simply unique. Prices are a little higher but still within reason. Unfortunately the broken window has not yet been repaired. It's a shame... But it won't stop us both from coming over again 👍👍

The island of original gastronomy from the old - really cool - Prenzlauer Berg. The usual latte macchiato cups and beer bottle holders avoid this place like polar bears avoid the desert! Very pleasant! Large and tasty portions and a good dose of Berlin warmth!

We had the pleasure of visiting German cuisine from “Schnitzelkönig”, our experience was absolutely great. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxed Monday lunch. The pleasant radio music added to the atmosphere without being too intrusive. The highlight of our visit, however, was the outstanding service. The lovely waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. We felt well looked after from start to finish. The waitress's recommendations were apt and pampered our taste buds. The food was delicious and authentic. Every bite was a pleasure, the selection of German specialties left nothing to be desired. Overall, we can recommend the restaurant without reservation. We can also imagine whether it's for a romantic meal for two or a sociable evening with friends.

The food was really good, the service was fast and the staff was friendly. The only downside was that payment was only possible in cash, which was never revealed in the restaurant until the bill was requested.

Good home cooking with an emphasis on schnitzels that are very well made and taste very good. Just like schnitzels should be. The selection is extensive. The service is very friendly and you feel welcome. Berlin dialect is also present there. Highly recommended and we will be back.

It's not called "the totally impossible pub" for nothing.

We've been eating there again for a long time...as former regular customers...after taking a break for a few months because the quality had deteriorated so much. So we gave it another chance and had dinner there...unfortunately it was a bad decision. Now the fried potatoes don't even taste good anymore... the vegetables are still frozen... the schnitzel is somehow no longer as tasty either. The price for the XL Schnitzel is now €30...which is by no means justified. It's a real shame what has become of the Schnitzel King... it used to be really good... but the conditions are really great… Apart from the constantly drunk waiter/boss…

In short: a disaster. Staff unfriendly & listless. The food is incredibly expensive for the quality. The fact that you call yourself the Schnitzel King is an insult to this delicacy...

Your food is really great. Unfortunately, the food often doesn't survive the delivery via Lieferando because the driver keeps falling through the bag. Please change something in the packaging, use 2.3 bags to be on the safe side. As I said, the food is great, it's just annoying when it's no longer edible.

As many others have already written, the service is an unfriendly pig and that has nothing to do with Berliner Schnauze, but is simply unfriendly. Simply out of place in the catering industry. The food is very tasty but we missed the meal when even a "hello" is too much to ask. It's a shame we used to come here more often, but at least there was a greeting and the food was impressive.

The selection is good, the food is good, but not particularly special (except for the size). I've eaten better schnitzel and of course the expectations are a little higher in the "Schnitzelkönig". It was just a bit dry. Unfortunately, there is a point deduction for the service, which quickly became a bit overwhelmed. Luckily the restaurant wasn't full. I have no idea what would have happened then. She was nice, but just not capable of multitasking. There is a further deduction for the lack of payment options by card. This has probably been the case here for a long time and is not a temporary problem. Especially in this day and age and prices not quite that cool. The prices are a little higher, but ok. The ambience is simple. I would visit this restaurant again. Let's see.

Typical, traditional Berlin service. So nice, but with a pinch. The selection is large, but not too large, so that there are no dishes on the menu that wouldn't fit. The ambience is modern-rustic, just right.

Ich wollte hier schon ewig mal das Schnitzel probieren und hab positives sowie negatives von Freunden gehört. Negativ empfand ich ehrlich gesagt die Bedienung, mussten 2-3 Minuten warten bis wir einen Tisch zugewiesen bekommen haben, obwohl nicht viel los war und man uns gleich wahrgenommen hat. Auch empfand ich den Kellner ein wenig unfreundlich und schroff, was sich jedoch im laufe der Bedienung gebessert hat. Positiv war das Essen, es war sehr lecker und die Portion (Normal) war für 18,90€ (Hamburger Schnitzel) recht groß und ausreichend. Das Restaurant war okay, hab schon schönere gesehen, aber auch schon schlimmere. Also ein bisschen an der Freundlichkeit arbeiten, dann wären sogar 4 Sterne möglich.

Erlebnisgastronomie pur! Wer derbe Sprüche und gutes Essen mag, ist hier genau richtig. :) Ich habe mich bei einem guten Schnitzel noch nie so wohl und gut unterhalten gefühlt. :)

Gehen seit Jahren hin. Essen sehr lecker und Portionen reichlich. Nur die Preise sind wie überall, sehr angezogen worden.

Kein Frisches Zapf Bierchen, Kam aus der Flasche und dafür fast 5€ ist schon sehr frech (0,5 l) das kannste Touristen machen aber nicht mit Originale Berliner 😉 Essen war geht so, TK Gemüse etc. Macht euch selbst ein Bild 😄👌

Super uhrige Location. Personal super drauf mit genialer Berliner Schnauze. Das Essen kam zügig und hat super geschmeckt wobei man auch die Zubereitung ( kein Fertigessen) gemerkt hat. Alles in allem ein super Lokal mit genau dem richtigen Personal. Sollten wir wieder in der Nähe sein kehren wir dort wieder ein. Empfehlung für alle die gutes Essen mögen.

The food at Schnitzelkönig is abundant and you can easily feel like eating at home. The downside is that the place doesn’t accept cash. On the other hand, the personnel is friendly and talkative but might not speak that good English, so better go with some German in your pocket. The beer was not impressive at all. Overall I think it’s a nice place with cozy ambient to go enjoy with your friends.

Das Essen war lecker, aber auch nichts besonderes ausgefallenes. Leider viel mit Fertigprodukten gearbeitet. Der Service ist lustig und typisch Berliner Schnauze!!!

Recientemente, visité este restaurante conocido por sus enormes milanesas y su selección de cervezas alemanas de primera calidad. La primera impresión que tuve fue que el tamaño de las milanesas era realmente impresionante, definitivamente obtienes una gran cantidad por tu dinero. Además, los precios son bastante asequibles, lo que lo convierte en un lugar ideal si tienes un presupuesto ajustado pero aún quieres disfrutar de una comida deliciosa y abundante. En mi caso fui con mi novia y compartimos un solo plato. La cerveza alemana que sirven aquí es simplemente espectacular, y marida perfectamente con las milanesas. Sin embargo, hay un inconveniente importante que debes tener en cuenta: el restaurante solo acepta efectivo, así que asegúrate de llevar suficiente dinero en efectivo contigo. Esto puede ser un inconveniente para algunos, pero la comida y la bebida valen la pena. En general, si estás buscando una experiencia culinaria generosa y auténtica, este lugar es una excelente opción. Solo prepárate con efectivo y ven con hambre, ¡te aseguro que no te decepcionará!

Super leckere Schnitzelgerichte. Es hat allerdings auch noch andere Menü Möglichkeiten. Preislich sehr günstig. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Selbst wenn das Restaurant gut besucht ist bekommt man sein Essen sehr schnell. Wir kommen gerne hierher. Ein "Muss" für Schnitzel Liebhaber.

Absolute rip off. Tap water costs EUR 3 per glass, no one mentioned price. Food was sub par, waitress and manager couldn't care less about customers. Avoid at all costs.

Schöne Einrichtung und freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen machen auf jeden Fall satt. Entschuldigen sie das geringe Trinkgeld. Aber es war mein Wille, ihnen das kontinuierliche Lächeln aus dem Gesicht zu zaubern hat geklappt.

Trotz Zapfhahn Bier aus der Flasche, Essen auf Niveau der Grenzöffnung vor 34 Jahren- Viel Majo über alles. Kartenzahlung wegen technischer Probleme nicht möglich - Wold und Lieferando Terminal gibt aber laut. Der Wirt besoffen und spricht mit Essen im Mund Gäste an, die auch erstmal nicht platziert werden. Empfehlung: ein Laden für stehengebliebene Ossis. Bloß nicht hingehen !

Selten so gelacht in einem Restaurant, die Sprüche vom Herren welcher uns das Essen brachte waren unbezahlbar..am Anfang dachten wir"was ist mit ihm los" nach kurzer Zeit verstand man seinen Humor und bekam einen Lacher nach dem nächsten..das Essen war mega, riesen Portionen, mehr als satt wird man dort..preis/leistung stimmt!!!Vielen lieben dank für die amüsanten knapp 2 Stunden.. wir kommen gerne wieder

It's the definition of German cheap and cheerful without being particularly cheap. We were there when it was super empty, so presumably with a few more diners, it could be an entertaining atmosphere. The decor alluded to many fuller, fun evenings.
