Schnitzelkönig in Berlin

We've been to Schnitzelkönig several times, and the food is great. Of course, you wouldn't necessarily want the croquettes from a bag, but you can always order fried potatoes instead 😇. However, the ambiance and the dining room are quite dated. From the somewhat grimy bottles on every table, which hold the drinks, to the rest of the furniture, it's all rather dingy. A renovation is desperately needed. And for years, there's been a sign saying they don't accept card payments. That's unacceptable these days. But Wolt and Lieferando are constantly at the door picking up orders.

Friendly, efficient waiter. Hawaiian schnitzel – a large portion, larger than usual. Special feature: topped with mozzarella. Drinks menu displayed on bottles on the table. Always a pleasure.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Very friendly staff. Great food.

We were a bit skeptical, but very pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the restaurant wasn't too noisy. Unfortunately, we always had to wait a while to place our orders. This was certainly due to a shortage of staff, but they were very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

At Schnitzelkönig, you feel like you're visiting good friends! Delicious food, generous portions, and simply top-notch service – warm, attentive, extremely humorous, and with their hearts on their sleeve. Children and dogs are just as welcome here as everyone else – you immediately feel at home! We've been there twice, and it certainly won't be the last time – you'd gladly drive 60 km for such good food and such top-notch service!

I'm incredibly impressed! The food is made with love, and the portions are incredibly generous – the portion I ordered was enough for three full plates! My takeout order (XXL schnitzel with fried potatoes, some coleslaw, tomato, and creamed mushroom sauce) was ready in about 10 minutes, and my goodness, I was amazed when I got home; the schnitzel was huge and super crispy, the fried potatoes were beautifully golden brown, and the creamed mushroom sauce was the best I've ever had with whole mushrooms. I'd love to come back and thank you so much for this delicious meal.

The food is delicious, the service is friendly and efficient, and there are plenty of customers. But the decor? It needs updating; it may have had its charm, but it was years ago. However, the food holds up. The prices are reasonable.

We went to Schnitzelkönig today and were very disappointed. The food was cold, and I've had better schnitzels. The seasoned meat was overcooked and flavorless. The waitress looked at our table and saw that the glasses were empty, but didn't react. The atmosphere was very run-down; I wouldn't recommend it as anything other than a regular restaurant, not a Schnitzelkönig.

The food is good, although the baked potatoes weren't. They were reheated, and it showed. The waitress was decent. The place was empty that day when I went during the week. As an interesting fact, I can tell you that while you're eating, you can hear the cook hitting the steaks with a mallet in the kitchen. They only accept cash.

Every few weeks, we go to Schnitzelkönig with a larger group. It always tastes great. The portions are filling. They come in three sizes, although the regular size is considerably larger than at other restaurants. The prices are really fair these days. The service is always excellent, with lots of heart and soul, as befits Berlin. Highly recommended. 5 stars 🌟 deserved. See you next time.

A simple but wonderful traditional restaurant. Highly recommended. Everything tastes delicious. The owner is a true Berlin veteran. If you appreciate the sense of humor, this is the place to be.

An old Berlin corner pub, although the atmosphere here was definitely more upscale. My Hamburger schnitzel was excellent, the service was friendly in typical Berlin style, and the outdoor seating was simply wonderful.

A quaint Berlin inn, with unique but warm service and hearty, home-style food. We'd gladly return!

Holy Schnitzel! My son ate the equivalent of about a pound of schnitzel and loved every bite. My schnitzel was incredible, too. The Schnitzel King is the best schnitzel we have had in our many trips to Berlin. Definitely come here!

I remembered the Schnitzelkönig from back in the day, but it's nowhere near its former standard. The schnitzel was okay, but the fried potatoes were completely burnt. Incidentally, the owner isn't exactly friendly either. "Berliner Schnauze" (Berlin accent) is a nicer option.

We were greeted by an absolutely delightful lady who seated us immediately. Our server was a very funny man, obviously enjoying his job & creating a fun atmosphere in which to enjoy your meal. We started with the homemade Soljanka Soup which was phenomenal and which we highly recommend. I had the schnitzel with mushrooms, my partner the chicken schnitzel letcho art. We both had the small size and it was huge. I couldn't finish the potato's with bacon & spring onions but my determination to eat the last bit of schnitzel with mushrooms is testament to how good it was. All washed down with some good, German beer. What more do you need!

It's not bad, but it's not exceptional. The service was very friendly and the menu is in English, although the service is in German. We ordered the traditional schnitzel with fries for €9.80, but it could have been better. It was a bit greasy, which is a shame, since the food had good recommendations.

Schnitzelkönigz in East Berlin serves the best traditional German schnitzel in town- crispy, tender, and packed with flavor. The cozy atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff make you feel right at home. If you’re after authentic comfort food in Berlin, this place is a must-visit.

One express please. The service is quick and people prefer to ask you twice what you want. The order arrives quickly - less than 5 minutes! It should be clear that the plate was prepared during this time. Schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce, fried potatoes, fried eggs, salad and half a liter 🍺. The potatoes were well fried, a fine onion/ham mix, not too greasy, but unfortunately a bit rubbery because they had already spent some time. The breading didn't stick to the meat, but it was thin and well done. The mushrooms tasted normal, the sauce was rather bland. I know the flavor from these ready-made bags. For €28.80 it's borderline worth it. The portion is sufficient, but for over 20 euros everything should fit together with spices and handwork. Too bad. The audience is mixed, from tourists, old people, to neighbors in a relaxed fit.

The service is great... Always something to say... I love that... The ambience is modern, but it doesn't suit the Schnitzel King... The schnitzel was great. The fries, however, were not crispy at all and had no seasoning... Maybe use a different type... The prices are rather high... Considering that shopping and staff cost more, it seems justified

Jump back in time to Berlin late 80s

I went to Schnitzelkönig with my family on my birthday. Since then I have had a birthday trauma and wish I would always stay the same age. I've never sat down in such a bad shop. I was slapped on the bottom by the waitress (a woman). That such “restaurants” still exist.

Great atmosphere in the restaurant. Rustic atmosphere. The Schnitzel König team always has a relaxed saying. 😂 So don’t be alarmed. The food was very tasty, no matter the size. My 400 gr. I didn't manage to make Kaiserschnitzel. But it was packed for me with the note “Looser” on the packaging. 👍

The schnitzels are good to very good. Unfortunately there is no Viennese schnitzel but only Viennese style schnitzel. The fact that card payments are not possible at prices of 25 euros (and more) per person is absurd.

It was really awesome, cool food and huge portions. So if you're really hungry you'll get enough. I can only recommend it, especially the service was very nice and friendly!

So, it's been a long time since I've been there and had a delicious 😋 meal. Not much has changed, almost like old times. Just scents and especially the Berlin snout 😀 . And if you can't cope, you should go where the service staff have a stick up their ass and treat the guests unpleasantly 😉. Stay as you are and carry on as before 😀 😉. Simply delicious and friendly. It's nice that something like this still exists 😉 😀!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Berliner, I was surprised by the cheeky but loving manner of the waiter. Very clumsy and cheeky but I really liked it. So you should bring a sense of humor. The food is really great! Large portions and it tastes incredibly good. The schnitzels are really world class.

The service was very brisk. The fried potatoes were probably pre-wrapped potatoes and the spices were simply missing. My farmer's breakfast wasn't finished. Overall not tasty. SHAME.

That was my first and also my last visit to the Schnitzelkönig. The food was only lukewarm. The cheese layer is too thick. The fries were hard. The waiter probably thought he was being funny. Sorry, but the sayings were totally wrong and sometimes insulting. The ambience wasn't nice either. The cover on my bench was already torn. All in all, I don't recommend it and it's too expensive for the quality of the food.

I wasn't there in person, but the delivery via Wolt confirmed my expectations. Very good food...in sufficient quantities...and everything tasted perfectly together. Well, the messenger had at least some travel time, but everything was still hot. And that with minus degrees outside 👍😋. Delicious..the Bolle tasted delicious here. Eating as ordered, fried potatoes with cream mushrooms, coleslaw/tomato garnish and a very inviting schnitzel... awesome 😚☺️🥰. And I was skeptical about the picture on the online menu... what a child's plate 🤔 Because the options for 400gr..600gr of meat were also available to book. No, the uncle is happy and thanks you for the “handsome rag”...a well-beaten 200mm Schwarzenegger Schnitzel made you feel good. Wide...tasty...crunchy. Knorke ..would tell Berlina what 😊🤗..and a pilsner🍺. Now a question for the owner or current operator: Did you run a restaurant on Schivelbeiner Str./Driesener Str. in the 90s and possibly 2000s? Because I had eaten more often due to work and you could get enough 😋. At some point the shop was gone. Is that also because of the same name - today my neighbor said...take a look at the Greifswalder...that must be them. It's the best Schnitzel place in the area. Was there two times. Once in the afternoon in the week and the food was good. A second time on the weekend for lunch and the food was great. It's a little bit pricey but for that the main portions are big. Would not recommend the desserts though, they are too pricey for what is offered. Will go here whenever I need a good Schnitzel.

Service and ambience are okay, the schnitzel was one of the most disgusting I've ever eaten in my life. Far too thick, baked in the cheapest fat. Meat quality below all dignity. But given the low prices, you probably can't expect more.

Nice original Berlin schnitzel stall with original Berlin Koddersnauze as waitress. This is to be understood as absolutely positive. The innkeeper makes hearty but appropriate jokes in the Berlin style and dialect. The food is the same: hearty, large selection of schnitzels and very tasty. Even the “normal” sizes are completely sufficient for a normally hungry man. - My personal drink tip: Pirates...anything, i.e. hot chocolate with brown rum!

Heavy food that is served here, both by the kitchen and the service. The food is mediocre at best, there are no crispy fried potatoes and frozen fries. The humor that is sold here as “Berlin Schnauze” is more suitable for a cheap daytime pub, just like the “innkeeper”.
