Beautiful place. A bit unusual, but with a welcoming atmosphere. Always wonderful.

It hosts many venues and events. Covered and lit, it's a great place for dinner and after-dinner drinks.

Cool location with numerous restaurants and various shops.

Super exciting, everyone chooses a meal according to their taste and everyone sits together at one table.

Beautiful square, nice pubs. Perfect for a Berliner Weisse with a shot of schnapps.

Without the Sony Shop and in bad weather everything seemed a bit bleak, lacking life and attractions

There are several restaurants and a cool environment.

The center at Potsdamer Platz impresses with its new architecture. It features a lot of glass. You'll find a lot of things there, from cinemas to restaurants, etc. But the most impressive feature is the dome. It's a truly modern building that's truly accomplished.

It has lost some of its appeal compared to the past. Still worth seeing.

Interesting building, huge dome, and amazing water feature. Food all around.

I prefer the design that was before not this water feature for kids. The area is lacking of shopping or entertainment store. I give 3 stars only for the beatifull architecture design that still remain form the previous generation.

It was much better here years ago. But you can still come here to take a few photos! There are still a few restaurants here, but otherwise it's not as nice anymore.

It's still an architectural gem. Inside, you'll find several very diverse restaurants. The ample seating and water features are great for families and children.

Great complex for entertainment and food

The project had been prepared with the best intentions by the city of Berlin's technicians: construction could finally be carried out on the abandoned area near the Wall, and what had been the beating heart of the city before the war would be restored to its former glory. The conditions were clear and meticulously studied: modern buildings, mixed-use development, and a road system suited to the finally reunited city, while respecting the tradition and character of the pre-existing structures. The project presented only one difficulty: under these conditions, no private investors were willing to invest in an area that promised to be extremely lucrative and suitable for more profitable projects. Perhaps due to lobbying efforts or perhaps political ambition, the two most coveted lots were ultimately hastily sold to two industrial giants: Daimler and Sony. The Japanese giant entrusted the construction of a prestigious European center to architect Helmut Jahn, director of the Chicago-based Murphy/Jahn firm. Jahn will build a complex with seven buildings clustered around a central courtyard for an estimated €750 million. At the easternmost corner of the complex, the Bahn Tower (railway tower) rises in a spectacular display of glass and steel, housing approximately 800 Deutsche Bahn employees. The 26-story, 103-meter-tall skyscraper has not been built without problems: several of the massive glass panes have broken from their frames and fallen onto the sidewalk below—fortunately, so far without causing injury. The central part of the project consists of an avant-garde building: beneath a glass dome reminiscent of Mount Fuji, where, according to Japanese tradition, the Kami—benevolent and protective spirits or deities—reside. Offices, apartments, a film museum and cinema, restaurants, and cafés are located. A unique feature is the Kaisersaal, the only fragment of the old Hotel Esplanade to survive the war and be integrated into the new project. In fact, the elegant red velvet lounge and breakfast room were once located approximately seventy meters from the current site.

Don't quite get the appeal of this place to be honest. It seems a bit sterile.

There are many many cool places at this location. Perfect for a big group who don't agree on what to get. Everyone will find something here.

If you want to relax for a bit after all that walking, this is the place to be. Whether you want a coffee or a small snack, you also have the opportunity to gaze out over the rooftops of Berlin.

Lively and cozy place in Berlin

A beautiful little square surrounded by buildings and modern structures, with an ornamental dome that protects from the sun and rain. The lovely fountains are a delight for children in summer.

Great place in the middle of Berlin!

It's really just a matter of taste... I don't like Potsdamer Platz 😅 Still, it's always a nice way to end a day of sightseeing if you have visitors. I can recommend Café Eleven, though, as it's really nice. The staff were incredibly personable and friendly 👍

The Sony Center has been in Berlin for 25 years now and impresses with its timeless yet modern architecture. The combination of clean lines and innovative design creates a fascinating atmosphere. We were thrilled by the open and inviting design – an absolute eye-catcher in the heart of the city!

Short visit there. Impressive and stylish roof that Sony fixed.

Inside the site, there were several interesting features, such as restaurants, giant inflatable animal figures, and a flower swing overlooking the fountains. There were also some typical Berlin bears for photo ops. The upper structure was impressive and modern.

Interesting piece of canvas/canopy over the Sony center. That being said, unless youre going to see the Berlin Wall, no point making a special trip here.

The former, slightly upscale Sony Center has been converted into a station forecourt. Loud music from the new fast food area makes the stay unpleasant. The last bastion is the Lindenbräu, but there are fears that this too will disappear.

I fell in love with this place and its dome! Previously known as the Sony Center, it is a complex of seven buildings, built in 2000, commissioned by Sony, spread over an area of approximately 26,000 m² at Potsdamerplatz. The structure has a distinctive triangular shape and offers work, living, and other solutions, such as offices, hotel rooms, a multiplex cinema, an entertainment center, as well as shops and restaurants. The extraordinary structure of the dome is dominated by glass and steel, which overlooks an oval plaza with an articulated umbrella roof attached with tie rods to a huge steel ring that rests on the surrounding buildings.

Unfortunately, for a supposed tourist hotspot, there is nothing on offer.

Lots of space and easy to visit even when it rains.

We ate there at the Kerb. There was a large selection, but unfortunately, the food, except for the Italian, was lukewarm.

It is an ideal place for relaxation and entertainment, plus there are food courts.

Located in the heart of Berlin, it has a parking garage underneath the center. There are a few shops, but mostly offices, and various restaurants. Naturally, it makes for an impressive photo opportunity.

A lot has changed here since the redesign of "Das Center" (formerly Sony Center): The atmosphere feels fresher and more contemporary, with a successful mix of restaurants, shops, and offices. I particularly like the open architecture with the spectacular roof, which remains a real highlight. However, there are a few minor weaknesses: Some spaces are currently empty, and I also see room for improvement in the dining options in terms of variety and quality. Overall, however, it's a lively, centrally located meeting place with great potential – recommendable and on the right track, but not yet perfect.

The Sony Center is always worth a look and a visit. Beautifully lit in the evenings. Often accompanied by music. Various restaurants, including ice cream parlors, invite you to linger.

Former Sony Center. Architecture to enjoy. The combination of glass and steel is beautiful. The roof is the most imaginative and is supposed to represent Mount Fuji. You can sit there on a bench. There is a piano where a good pianist was playing a tune. Enough catering facilities to enjoy a bite to eat and a drink.

Unfortunately, there's not much going on since the cinema closed. However, there are a few restaurants and the new street food concept.

Unfortunately, since it is no longer Sony Center - Postdammer Platz, the covered complex is very sad! There is no longer the animation and lighting that Sony brought.....entire floors empty, there is no longer the cinema, with many rooms, where they also showed films from the "BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL", other places closed!!!!!

Inside book interesting architecture unfortunately a few strange shops in there now.

Nice Architechture to have good sunshine from rooftop. It's designed like an urban oasis.

You can see the star sinking. And there's nothing going on. When we were here three years ago, it was also a construction site.

Very nice place. Good ambiance and many good restaurants. It provides outside sitting, which is perfact for summer eveing dine out.

Architecturally, it's a compelling design. Very playful in warm colors with a small water feature at its center, this impressive building stretches into lofty heights. It's not the dining options that entice visitors to return, but rather the parking garage at the foot of Potsdamer Platz, with a maximum daily rate of €6.

A public place, roofing between several buildings. There is a piano in the middle, so everyone can play, or experience live music while others play. The music ends at 10 p.m.

Too much construction work. Local Lindenbräu was good. Nice friendly service, the food was tasty and sufficient.
