Ein erlebnisreicher Abend im Restaurant Pots im Ritz Charlton , mit einem hervorragenden Service und einer famosen Küchencrew!

We stayed at the attached Ritz Carlton so came here for dinner and two breakfasts and service was horrible. First the dinner. We sat outside and as the sun set it blinded all of us. One side of the table had the sun directly in their eyes and the other side of the table had the sun reflecting on a glass wall blinding them. We asked that they adjust the umbrellas but they said they could not (they don’t turn). That in itself would have ruined the meal. In addition we got a hostile waitress (plump , young, dark haired) who made it seem like she was very annoyed to have to work. She barely showed up to the table and did her best not to serve. The food was expensive, not at all memorable and in very small portions. We came for two unpleasant breakfasts. The last morning we came for breakfast we got the exact same hostile waitress again. This time she made sure almost none of the orders arrived, that my son got his omelet after we were all done, that everything was incorrect and that we were miserable. The restaurant needs to fire it’s staff and hire friendly English speaking staff that understands that they are in a service industry. The food at breakfast was bad. Eggs with no taste, undercooked bacon, lousy gluten free bread, etc. They need to do better.

In the modern part of Berlin, where the dividing wall between East and West once passed, 19th century architects created a whole surprising district with a sort of super gallery in the shape of a volcano. There are restaurants and art galleries there.

This was a truly fantastic experience, the food is amazing, the staff is super nice and fun, the wine pairings were perfectly selected, and sitting next to the kitchen to watch the food being prepared was part of the experience. My girlfriend and I had the perfect date night, and can only recommend.

Wir waren im Hotel und haben mehrmals vor Ort gegessen. Das Frühstücks-Buffet war der Wahnsinn!! Auch die saisonalen Spargelgerichte zu Mittag waren Super!

An impressive and spectacular building complex with office buildings, restaurants and shops. The central part is currently under renovation and expansion.

Das war mal wieder ein Abend wie er sein muss. Perfekter Service und eine hervorragende Küche. Traditionelle Gerichte neu und meisterlich interpretiert. Großes Kino! Preis Leistung passt hier wirklich. Gerne wieder!

Good food! Unfortunately, many streets have been broken up for maintenance. That may take a while in Berlin.

The former Sony Center at Potsdamer Platz. Has lost some of its charm, but was currently more of a construction site, let's see what happens with it.

This square is really special, it's a shame that there was construction going on when we visited it. However, I recommend it, especially to see the cover that changes color at night.

In April 2024 the whole center was a huge construction site... Still impressive.

Great building, you can enter from the street for free

I was at the Film Museum, not at the Sy Restaurant.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend im POTS. Das Essen ist großartig, der Service zuvorkommend und die Atmosphäre elegant, aber entspannt. Die Karte war relativ neu und ist eine moderne Interpretation von deutschen Klassikern. Ich hatte anfangs mit dem 4-Gänge Menü geliebäugelt, aber wir haben uns dann doch entschieden, dass wir viele Gerichte gemeinsam ausprobieren wollen. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt, der Vibe im Pots ist entspannt, es war eine gute Stimmung im Restaurant und die Mitarbeiter hatten sichtlich Spaß (wir haben so viel mit dem Sommelier gelacht) -- ganz im Gegenteil zu vielen anderen hippen Lokalen in denen man einen 2 Stunden Slot hat. Wir kommen definitiv wieder - die Stimmung und das tolle Ambiente haben es uns angetan!

Wir hatten die Freude, das Restaurant POTS zu besuchen und es war ein Abend, den wir nicht so schnell vergessen werden. Das Essen war absolut köstlich. Jeder Gang war ein kulinarisches Erlebnis für sich. Von den Vorspeisen bis zu den Desserts wurden unsere Geschmackssinne verwöhnt. Die Präsentation der Gerichte war amazing und der Geschmack einfach sensationell. Wir probierten verschiedene Gerichte und waren von jedem einzelnen begeistert. Der Service war ebenso bemerkenswert. Das gesamte Team war äußerst zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und hatte immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Besonders Lina und Max haben unseren Abend mit ihrer herzlichen Art noch schöner gemacht Insgesamt war unser Besuch im Restaurant POTS eine perfekte 10 von 10. Wir genossen die Atmosphäre und das Essen. Wenn du auf der Suche nach einem großartigen Ort für ein Essen mit Freunden bist, dann ist das Restaurant POTS definitiv die richtige Wahl!

Interesting architecture, but construction work is underway at the moment. It can only get better.

Great new take on classics. It’s been a while since we last enjoyed the beautiful venue with its open concept kitchen. We enjoyed our night out with friends right in the heart of Berlin at Potsdamer Platz a lot. Definitely the Flammkuchen or Königsberger Klopse. The restaurant within the Ritz Carlton is an amazing place to go to. And afterwards you can always hit the Curtain Bar for drinks. If you don’t, make use of the free parking in the hotel garage that is provided for restaurant guests.

Unfortunately there is still construction work at the center.

The building complex is impressive. However, all shops and restaurants in the Sony Center are closed. Spooky atmosphere. Unfortunately it's not worth going there.

I've eaten here a few times. Solid spot for business lunches. Had a sandwich platter that was very generous. Convenient location within the Ritz. Recommended.

Beautiful place, 1 station away from HBF and worth the trip, beautiful architecture and full of good shops.

Still a scary wasteland. Where cinemas and restaurants once created a lively atmosphere, there is now a permanent construction site and a lunar landscape. One (!) only open beer bar offers refuge at far overpriced prices. You can save yourself!

Almost completely empty and decrepid

We visited the Sony Center on February 3rd, 2024, it is a single construction site. Only 1 restaurant is still there and is open. In my opinion it will only be worth it again once the construction work is finished.

It was very nice! Great atmosphere, although quite loud during the day. It's relatively clean and there were a few seats! Without a construction site, it's definitely a real highlight!

Insgesamt großartig mit exzellenter Verkehrsanbindung. Atmosphäre der beiden Plätze steril und wenig inspirierend. Kinemathek Museum Film und Fernsehen Herausragend.

Abends sehr beeindruckend, weil es echt schön beleuchtet ist. Allerdings wegen der großen Baustelle aktuell nicht wirklich zu empfehlen.

Zur Zeit eine Baustelle u keine richtige Aktivität.

Un punto in cui il gioco di luce e veramente bellisiimo

Wir waren am Wochenende nach einem Konzert (Philharmonie) da und wollten ein schönes Restaurant aufsuchen: Das Sony Center wird umgebaut, genauso die Potsdamer Arkaden und die Strasse davor. Tolle stadtplanerische Leistung, alles komplett "dicht" zu machen. Nur einige Bars. Es sieht dort grauenhaft aus, Baustelle pur, die armen Touristen...hoffen wir mal, dass es besser wird.

Da es zur Zeit noch im Umbau ist, kann man natürlich keine 5 Sterne vergeben. Jedoch an sich ist es irgendwann bestimmt ein schöner Ort mitten im Herzen Berlins zum shoppen und entspannen.

Das „Zeltdach“ und die damit verbundene, seltene Konstruktion des Sony Centers am Potsdamer Platz ist es wert, den Kopf in den Nacken zu legen. Insgesamt hat der gesamte Komplex eine interessante Ausstrahlung – eingebettet in die vielseitige Geschichte der Umgebung.

Durch die Bauarbeiten kein gutes Ambiente. Nur schade das mannach 20 Jahren nach der Eröffnung schon wieder anfangen muss alles zu erneuern. Einfach nur noch traurig in Deutschland

A nice social area in the center of the city where there are cafes, bookstore and cinema..

Leider ist das "SonyCenter" am Potsdamer Platz eine einzige Baustelle. Fast alle wichtigen Geschäfte sind dort raus. Einige Besucher haben sich noch verlaufen ins dortige Wirthaus Lindenbräu. Die Zeit des wunderschön geschmückten Weihnachtsidyll im SonyCenter wird hoffentlich bald wiederkommen und mit Menschen aus aller Welt gefüllt?!

Ausser der großen Baustelle ist nichts zu bewundern. Und nach bekannter Berliner Art wird die Baustelle wohl auch noch lange existieren. Mal sehen, ob man auch das leckende Dach reparieren wird !?

Wenn man als Tourist in Berlin sein sollte, so sollte ein Besuch in diesem Center eingeplant werden! 😉

Derzeit laufen ja umfangreiche Bauarbeiten im Sony Center. Wir sind gespannt, wenn die Bauarbeiten 2024 beendet sein werden.

Ich liebe es für Fotos. Sony scheint raus zu sein. Aktuell gibt es grossen Umbau. Die Scönheit bleibt.

Momentan ist dort nur eine Baustelle. Es ist nicht wirklich schön und sehenswert.

A classy restaurant in a Ritz Hotel is not something on the top of my list, but on this miserable rainy day in Berlin, I chose to miss out on a business dinner and went to this restaurant near where I was. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and helpful staff in this chic but cozy restaurant. The view of the completely open kitchen offers you the view of almost a theatre-like performance of the chefs. Both food and wine recommendations were excellent, but above all, the quality of service is what makes this place very special. They were flexible, helpful, and proposing something in anticipation of the next step. A sign of true excellence and impressive. Wholeheartedly recommended.

We had an excellent evening here. The manager, sommelier and other staff were passionate about German food, and very professional and helpful. Our meal was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the sommelier’s wine recommendations were perfect. Perfect restaurant. Coped with our food allergies very well.

Aktuálně probíhá velká rekonstrukce, takže je většina prostoru nepřístupná. Ikonická střecha je vidět je ze dvou, třech úzkých prostorů, jinak jsou všude zábrany. Snad to bude po stavebních pracích opět kouzelné jako dřív.

Large restaurant and quite well planned. Few guests when we visited so not very lively. Very good service. Food good quality comfort style. Good wine list but a bit pricey. A la carte ( our choice ) or tasting menu. Comfortable seating.

Amazing view, really amazing, you have to stop by there for 10-15 minutes

Letzte Woche wollte ich mal wieder im Hof vom Sony Center ein Eis essen. Leider wird dort gebaut und der Innenhof ist komplett abgesperrt. Willkommen in Berlin. Stadt der Baustellen. Zum Glück gibt es Eis auf der anderen Straßenseite.

Ehemals Sony Center. Wird seit einiger Zeit umstrukturiert und ist momentan kein Ort ihn zu besuchen. Ich arbeite in dem Gebäude und der Baulärm ist eine Zumutung.
