Very very bad burgers. The bread is very hard, the bacon is raw. (And they charge an extra +€ 3.5 x bacon or cheese) the meat was the only redeemable thing. The warm beer. Coca without gas The schnitzel is good! I definitely won't be coming back!!

Was there spontaneously on a Monday evening. Flexible seating was found for me and my companion. I was absolutely thrilled with the food! The vegetables are very fresh and crunchy. The meat is very tender. The service is quite unique, but has a very individual touch that rounds off the great impression. A clear recommendation for a lovely evening.

A wonderful August evening, outside in the “Flying Dutchman”. We had reserved for 9 people, which you should definitely do. The food was delicious, came quickly and at the same time for everyone. Great atmosphere, in the middle of the Dutch Quarter. Have been there again and again for years. Last visit on Sunday. The food was very good, the service was excellent. The nice young man who served us should get 6 🌟 stars. Especially at a time when the catering industry is looking for people, such employees are worth their weight in gold. I just wanted something in between and decided on the meatballs and I have to say that I found them really tasty. The accompanying slices of bread were crispy and fresh. The price was €8.50, which is not cheap but not overly expensive either. Service was friendly and quick. So I'll definitely come back to try something different, because the bulette convinced me.

I had pre-booked a table for a birthday dinner. This was covered with a white tablecloth and a small vase with flowers was also there. The service ladies were very friendly and guest-oriented. The food was super delicious!! I had a tomato soup in advance. It was truly the best I've ever eaten. The two main courses also more than met expectations. In short: the Flying Dutchman is definitely recommended. A small note at the end: due to the weather, we were able to sit outside, so I can't say anything about the inside area.

Made a reservation based on other diner’s reviews and glad we did-had a lovely dinner with all around great service and delicious food. We shared the grilled shrimp and burrata both excellent. Very cozy ambiance and very friendly staff.

We went to eat and first of all, very warm attention, we ordered tomato soup and white asparagus soup, a delight!, and then, a plate with typical "meatballs" called frikadellen, and it was super delicious! I loved the decoration, we will surely return!

We were in the Flying Dutchman with 31 people (very mixed group). We had already ordered our menu a few days before. We had a wonderful evening. Wir haben Freunde aus Berlin zum Abendessen eingeladen und aufgrund der guten Bewertungen dieses Restaurant gewählt. Leider hat mich die Qualität, im Besonderen bei den Getränken, nicht überzeugt. Der Cremant Brut Rose von der Loire kostet im Einkauf unter 7,00 €, Preis im Lokal 35,00 €. 500 Prozent Aufschlag! So etwas habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Der Grauburgunder "Ganz in Weiß" vom Weingut Hammel war kein guter Vertreter der Weine aus der Pfalz. Der Preis mit 36.00 € ebenfalls übersetzt in Relation zu der Qualität. Die Küche, "gut bürgerlich". Spargelsuppe, Garnelen und Rote Beete Carpaccio waren durchaus in Ordnung. Ebenso die Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat. Die Kalbsleber Berlinder Art war ordinär angerichtet. Eine Scheibe auf einem "Berg" von Kartoffelstampf mit weichen Zwiebeln in einer braunen Soße. Freundlicher Service!

First time here. Not been disappointed. Unfortunately the salmon was no longer available. Then we switched to stuffed cabbage and burgers. Food very tasty. Service is also good, the ambience is just Dutch quarters.

We were there for dinner yesterday. Nice service and very good food. Unfortunately, dogs are allowed in this restaurant. Drinking bowl and food directly under the table and due to the rainy weather it smelled strongly of dog until we got to the table.

Lunch outside was very good. Viennese schnitzel with chanterelles very tasty. Zander with chanterelles is also recommended. Short waiting time even though there was a lot going on.

Fast service, great food, top quality

Growing Rating: Rustic, good home cooking in a historic, nice environment. In the warm months you can sit comfortably outside here. Since the streets are not busy, it is also pleasantly quiet. The food and drinks offered are adapted to the location and tourist situation. The service was friendly, nice and quick. 03/06/2024: We sat in a group of 9 people: The service was super fast, very friendly and had everything in view. The dishes, al a kart, were served to everyone at the same time, were hot and cooked well. Personally, the portion was a bit small for me (the 2 fish fillets were very small), so you could do with more. The corner on the first floor where we sat is cozy. We would have liked to use the one enclosed room. June 5, 2024: Today we sat upstairs in the small room with 8+ people. Splendid! As always, the service was impeccable, the food and drinks were delicious!

Overpriced food, small portions and the friendliness also leaves a lot to be desired.

Great restaurant with top service and flair.

Das Restaurant hat die perfekte Lage im Holländischen Viertel in Potsdam mit großen Terrassen. Für uns 8 Personen wurde auf Terrasse ein 10er Tisch reserviert mit ausreichend Platz. Unsere Bedienung Tine war -Weltklasse- , freundlich, schnell zuverlässig - also perfekt ! Getränke waren ohne große Aufforderung immer und ständig ausreichend auf dem Tisch. Tine eine Bedienung - besser geht's nicht ! Die Getränkeauswahl ließ keine Wünsche offen. Gegessen wurden unterschiedliche Gerichte und alle waren sehr lecker, individuell gezaubert und Top zubereitet - die Menge ausreichend . Den Fliegende Holländer und sein gesamtes Team empfehlen wir unbedingt weiter. Ein muss in Potsdam :)

Very well advised. It was May and I wanted to take the opportunity to eat asparagus in the middle of the season. They recommended some colossal-sized white asparagus with schnitzel. The hollandaise sauce that accompanied it was perfect, a real discovery. The waitress, very attentive. The atmosphere inside was very pleasant despite there being a large group. No fuss. A good dinner.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting Potsdam and decided to stop in. Unfortunately, they weren't serving food as it was a bit late, so we just ordered drinks. Despite that, the service and atmosphere were great!

I only ate a piece of cheesecake or apple strudel. It was very tasty, just a little too small. Other dishes also looked very good. The wine selection is extensive and the bar is well stocked.

We were a group of 38. The service was a bit slow but the food was delicious. The staff friendly and everyone very much enjoyed the lunch. We sat outside and there are great rooms inside should the weather not be good.

We decided to eat there on a whim. The herring fillet with side dishes and asparagus with zander were very good. The Gnoggi were not acceptable in terms of taste and the children's portion at a price of 16.00 euros. The dessert of vanilla ice cream with strawberries and eggnog for 10.90 is outrageous in terms of the portion in a mini glass. The ambience is very nice and inviting. Therefore only three stars

It's a shame we liked it on our last visit, but then a group comes and then guests in pairs are no longer welcome.

This is a very nice place to dine. You certainly should get a reservation. The location is pretty nice and I liked the atmosphere in the "Reiterzimmer". Tastefully decorated and well maintained. The only negative point is, for me, that the seat and table was a bit uncomfortable, but that is only due to that table having unfavourable legs. The food was also pretty good, solid "german" cuisine. I had a "Krustunbraten mit Pflaumensauce", pork roast with plum source. The skin was very crunchy and the plum souce also very good. We ordered the cheese dish as a side dish. This was also a pretty good, the only negative point was the bread that they served since it was two kinds of brioche buns and that didn't went well with the cheese, in my opinion. Overall a very nice place and highly recommended.

The house has a lot of atmosphere. Service is first class, fast and extremely friendly, even when the house is full. It tasted good too. Gladly again!

The start was great. Really very friendly and attentive service. The menu is varied, with regional and seasonal specialties and a children's menu. Unfortunately we were placed in a very narrow and noisy area upstairs. One service person for 25 guests. Food came after about 40 minutes. Price-performance wasn't right at some point. Schnitzel rather dry and hard. Burger without a side dish of zander with asparagus for 35 euros with two very small fillets. Asparagus fibrous and poorly peeled. It's a shame, the menu and reception would actually have been worth 4 to 6 stars.

Unfortunately, the friendly waitress had to inform us that two dishes (asparagus and zander) could no longer be offered. What a shame, because my husband had put these two dishes on his shortlist. He also liked the “substitute” (cabbage roulade) and my veal liver was simply great. What bothered us a bit was the loud atmosphere. Maybe we were just unlucky that there were two groups sitting in the room with us that evening and they had a good, loud conversation.

Wiener Schnitzel with asparagus... Very tasty, stylishly prepared, full and happy. I left the restaurant and have fond memories of it. Are there any negatives? High prices? Veal schnitzel and asparagus have practically become a luxury item, so they cost just over €30... Service unfriendly? Nope... Everything fit together well... The thing with the tablecloths confused me a bit, why a paper cover for such a nice restaurant is appropriate for a nice white tablecloth ;-)

We were there on a pleasant early summer evening. At first we were told it would be difficult without a reservation, but then we got a very nice table on a padded bench. The service was great! The waiter very attentive. He would hire him as a salesperson himself. The meal was okay. The schnitzel was a bit dry, but the potato salad was excellent. The burger was good. I would come back.

One of my favorite restaurants. Besides all the other delicious food, this place probably has the best herring in the Berlin and Potsdam region. During asparagus season, there are excellent asparagus dishes here. They have changed a lot since the renovation! The interior has become very beautiful, the menu is more extensive, and the service is better. See the desserts for yourself - in the photographs. :-) I recommend!

We came on March 11, 2024 with a group of 28 as part of a conference and had made reservations beforehand. In the upper fireplace room, a very beautiful room, we were served extremely competently. The large group was handled very professionally, openly and with charm, even though the group was quite loud at times. The food was very good, especially the local cuisine with regional, fresh ingredients was really well received. The portions were generous. The service remained attentive and agile throughout the evening. Our guests from all over Germany got an authentic impression and were thrilled. Even though I paid individually, everything went smoothly. What can you say? Many, many thanks to the entire Flying Dutchman team!

On the occasion of the tulip festival we went to the restaurant for lunch. Despite the restaurant being full, the friendly staff still managed to accommodate 4 people. The food was very tasty and a visit to the restaurant is always a good decision.

Food was delicious, service was quick and courteous. We were a little worried that it might be a typical tourist bar, but it was far from it. We can only recommend the restaurant, especially since the prices are still reasonable despite the usual increases.
