We haven't had such lovely and extremely friendly service in a long time! The atmosphere is very cozy and not loud. The food is of course just as delicious!! We would love to come back. THANK YOU for the great evening 🤩

Super! We were there for dinner on Monday evening and really enjoyed it. The host was so friendly and attentive, the food was super fresh and delicious, the portions were huge and not expensive at all. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, you feel comfortable. Another guest expressed the suspicion that the huge schnitzel couldn't be natural, so the host invited him into the kitchen to see for himself the freshness of the home-made meal. Really great!

We had a really nice New Year's reception with our team with you. The location is truly unique and the dessert was heavenly! The arrangement on cake stands is also very stylish. The only small point of criticism - an introduction to the menu would have been great (we didn't know that savory food and dessert were planned and so some of our team missed it) and the speed of service was also very unrhythmic (sometimes we waited a long time for a coffee , everything else happened really quickly). All in all, but gladly again! Many thanks to the team and restaurant management. The AniCura Potsdam team.

Always worth a visit! The Flying Dutchman impresses with consistently fantastic quality, great dishes, good portion sizes, a cozy atmosphere, top location and great service! We always enjoy coming back.

Highly recommended, a really good restaurant

Very disappointing meal. The so-called “wild herb salad” was carelessly thrown straight from the package into the bowl and done! Just a rip off! The quality of the store has deteriorated significantly. That was our last time here!

We were at the restaurant 45 minutes before our reservation. Nevertheless, we were brought to our table without complaint. This great service lasted the entire evening. The card has something for everyone. We also found the atmosphere very nice because of the attention to detail. The food was of very good quality and suited our taste. Overall, it was a great evening for us, which we will definitely repeat more often at “The Flying Dutchman”.

Das vorgestellte Essen - Vorspeisen- Hauptspeisen - Nachspeisen - war appetitlich angerichtet und hat allen Gästen incl. der Kinder sehr gut geschmeckt. Insgesamt eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt. Das Restaurant wird von uns ohne Einschränkung weiter empfohlen.

On the occasion of my 50th birthday I booked the fireplace room. The ambience is excellent. Likewise the service. The food was highly praised by all my guests. We had a really fantastic evening. Many thanks again to the “Zum Flying Dutchman” team!!

Found the restaurant by chance. Very tastefully designed both inside and out. The waitress was a bit snotty and annoyed while taking the food, but afterwards she was great and friendly. Food came quickly and looked and tasted fantastic. Prices for quality, location and taste are absolutely fine! For starters, I would rather switch to the classics.

The restaurant is really nice and the food tasted good. The service was friendly, but it took a little longer for the food to arrive. The atmosphere was pleasant, just a bit noisy as it was busy. Still a nice place for a relaxing evening.

We had a fabulous evening in the Flying Dutchman restaurant. As part of a private celebration, we rented the fireplace room for a group of 10 people and were given excellent advice in advance on the menu and drink selection. After a warm welcome on site, we enjoyed a perfectly cooked goose and really good and friendly service in a class of its own. In every corner of the house you can see the attention to detail and the work of excellent restaurateurs! We are already looking forward to the next visit!

The food (liver, schnitzel) was very tasty. But above all I would like to highlight the service. Unfortunately we had a double booking for the same table, but the lady immediately tried to find a solution and so we were able to enjoy both her service and the good food in a prominent location. Denn leider gab es bei uns für denselben Tisch eine Doppelbuchung, aber die Dame hat sich sofort um eine Lösung bemüht und so konnten wir an exponierter Stelle sowohl ihren Service, als auch das gute Essen genießen. We stopped here to visit Potsdam! We really enjoyed the crusty roast and veal schnitzel. Plus wonderful Allgäu Helles🍺. Cozy location located in the great Dutch quarter. Recommendation!

We ordered two of the same dishes (roast beef) and both came out very different. Mine was cut smaller and had a lot more fat. The food was good: 6.5. The meat was tasty, as was the sauce, but the side dish was not so good (the potato dumplings had no flavor). There was no delay in the service or delivery of the dishes. The second drink order was wrong.

The whole experience was just perfect! The waiters were so lovely, the food was delicious and I had a lovely time sitting outside. It's in a great location, really close to all the main attractions, so I'd definitely recommend it and go back again. Just a heads-up, it's better to have cash as they didn't accept cards when we were there.

Even though I'm from Potsdam myself, I've only been to the restaurant 2-3 times so far. From the perspective of this evening, with several guests, I cannot justify my previous reluctance. Everyone found the food extremely tasty, the staff super friendly and accommodating, and prices that seemed reasonable and affordable to me based on today's criteria.

An all-round feel-good experience of the highest class. The reservation worked out so well, as requested, “romantically”, we were immediately touched. A warm welcome, our hearts immediately opened. Great, loving atmosphere, cozy and very stylish. The food can only be recommended, a poem.

Had dinner on New Year's Eve. Everything went great! Had great space on the first level. Very tasty food in a casual atmosphere. The best; It was a combination of super delicious food and sensational entertainment from the great waiter (fussy head!). We'll be back!

A good address for delicious food in the Dutch Quarter. We ate the first asparagus of 2024 here and it was a delight. The starters, liver and desserts are also highly recommended. During our visits we have always received a very friendly welcome and courteous service. Ending with duck was also highly recommended and the staff were always friendly, despite the high number of visitors

Eine gute Adresse für leckeres Essen im holländischen Viertel. Wir haben hier den ersten Spargel des Jahres 2024 gegessen und es war ein Genuss. Auch die Vorspeisen, die Leber und die Nachtische sind sehr zu empfehlen. Bei unseren Besuchen sind wir stets sehr freundlich empfangen und zuvorkommend bedient worden. Auch der Abschluss mit Ente war sehr empfehlenswert und das Personal, trotz hoher Besucherfrequenz, stets freundlich.

On December 26th We had a Christmas dinner together with 35 people in one of the two upper guest rooms. Due to the number of people we had reserved the room and agreed in advance on goose leg with kale/red cabbage and dumplings. The food was fantastic for everyone involved. The goose legs were super soft and crispy and all the side dishes were extremely tasty. The service was super friendly and attentive and even though the entire restaurant was fully booked, it was also very quick with all of our orders. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely come back next year!

As soon as we entered we were greeted in a very friendly manner and taken to the table. We sat upstairs. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. We had very nice and courteous service. The food was really delicious! The mashed potatoes - a dream! Nothing was prepared out of the bag but really fresh. The children's meals are also great - our daughter loved the fish fingers. We had a really nice and culinary evening at the Flying Dutchman.

Located in the heart of the Dutch Quarter. Our first choice for years, even for large family gatherings. Friendly employees, very good food, great ambience and warm atmosphere. Little tip, reserved!!!! Thank you to the entire team.

Eat: The dishes are excellently prepared and reflect the quality of the ingredients. Classic dishes such as the Wiener Schnitzel and the goose, which are served in a traditional yet sophisticated manner, are particularly recommended. The dessert menu also impresses with seasonal and homemade creations. Service: The staff is friendly and accommodating, although service can be a little slower at peak times. However, with a smile and patience this can be easily overcome as the quality of the food more than makes up for the waiting time.

Tolle Atmosphäre, super Ambiente. Wir waren zum Weihnachtessen mit 16 Personen im Restaurant. Essen war super lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden und gesättigt. Kommen gerne wieder.

2 stars for the really nice lady But 0 stars for the goose leg Technically it was a 5 At this price I expect fresh red cabbage and not from a jar. A sauce should be made from bones, not from a bag. The Christmas market does a better job of kale. Meat was lukewarm and unfortunately didn't taste great. The restaurant is very nice and I will definitely give it another chance

My husband and I celebrated our wedding in the “Flying Dutchman”. We planned this day for a long time in advance with Ms. Schleife. The planning was uncomplicated, efficient and our wishes were implemented as far as possible. We were able to ask questions by email at any time and received an answer within a few hours. On our “big day” everything went smoothly. The tables were set, the service was great and everyone was completely satisfied. We celebrated with 28 people in the fireplace room. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy - fitting for a winter/Christmas wedding like ours. We and our guests felt very comfortable and welcome.

I've been here several times now. So far we have always left satisfied, smiling and with the best impressions. Overall, the service, food and ambience are special and always worth a visit... Great respect to the creators

Absolutely delicious food. I can recommend it to anyone who is in the area. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is also lovingly designed. With different rooms in different style ranges, each room has its own charm.

We were warmly welcomed during our visit. Ambience very nice. After ordering, we had to wait over an hour for noodles etc. Only after we asked was it delivered lukewarm 10 minutes later. On Sundays, on the 3rd Advent, a full house must be mentioned in fairness. After our review, a starter was referred to, not a word of regret. The portions are calculated very small. But this is easily offset by the price :). A trip with an aftertaste. Bad luck, right? Too bad.

A restaurant with a warm, cozy setting, in a Renaissance style. Local cuisine with fresh, quality ingredients. The waiters are welcoming and smiling. Whether with family or friends, this place is definitely worth it!

When we are in Potsdam, dinner at the Flying Dutchman is always a MUST for us. Historical, cozy atmosphere, very good food and friendly service. Perfect!

Portions could be a little larger for the price range, but the food tasted great. The apple strudel is recommended. The menu is really very detailed, there is something for everyone! Quaint atmosphere and relatively friendly service. Unfortunately, for my personal taste, the waiter was too intrusive when taking the order, but other people may not find it that way. We'd love to come back if we end up in Potsdam again!

Great restaurant with a lot to discover. From the culinary cuisine to the great furnishings. Quite rustic, but that's exactly what gives it the flair. There's a cool bar integrated downstairs. The ladies of the house round off the experience with their style.

Goose leg and Wienerschnitzel are great! The service was really great! What, in my opinion, doesn't match the food, service and great wines is the cheese plate. The Chateauneuf Du Pape Chante Cigale 2019 was delicious.

It is always worth a visit. The food is always great and the waitresses are always very friendly.

So the food is always excellently cooked to perfection, I have already devoured various dishes on site in a very nice atmosphere and have never had even the slightest negative impressions. My personal highlight are the pork cheeks, although the burger 🍔 is not to be despised either. The staff is friendly across the board and very accommodating, even small extra requests are taken into account without any problems. We will definitely come back and again and again.

When we were there with our sports group, everything was pre-ordered except for the drinks. Nevertheless, the impression of complete overwhelm prevailed, from serving the food to paying the bill. (Lettuce with burrata was green leaves without burrata). In fact, some participants “treated themselves” to a simple snack at the train station afterwards. Sophisticated gastronomy is not just demanding price. Too bad.

Abnormally bad food. One half of my burger was still raw. My companion's food was too salty. The staff seemed unprofessional and reacted very calmly to the serious deficiencies. The ambience was fine.

Now, on a short visit to Potsdam, especially in the Dutch Quarter, you can't visit all the shops and restaurants at once. But at least take a few photos of objects that you should put on your agenda for your next stay here... So here we go Opera by Richard Wagner, with the same name, which raises the question of how the name is related to the restaurant, so it's time to take a look here soon. In retrospect, I was only able to research first that it offers German cuisine with European ones influences, and offers space for 240 guests. So see you soon. Until then, good business and satisfied guests!! We'll bring enough appetite and hunger with us when we visit...😃👍

Very nice place. We had the crusted roast, pike perch, pumpkin soup and the Wiener schnitzel. Everything was good except that the Wiener Schnitzel arrived lukewarm. When I pointed it out, there was no apology or anything. In my opinion, this is necessary so that a guest would like to come back.

I celebrated my 66th birthday there with 10 people. The table was beautifully decorated with red roses and set very invitingly.

A great restaurant. Very well located in the Dutch Quarter. We stopped there spontaneously and were assigned a nice place. The service was friendly, attentive and quick. The menu is varied with meat, fish and vegan dishes. We had crusty roast with red cabbage, dumplings and plum sauce. Extremely delicious. Price-performance is right. The atmosphere with stylish Dutch furnishings is perfect.

It was a great culinary end to our short vacation in Potsdam. Very tasty food across the menu in a special atmosphere. The crowning glory was the lady who hosted and looked after us with wonderful charm and wit. In short: perfect hospitality!
