Relaxed seating and dining in the Dutch Quarter. The service was very professional and knew how to keep people engaged while they ate and drank 😀 We felt very comfortable.

Access to the restaurant isn't easy if you're traveling by car. The food disappoints me, except for the meat. I'm not thrilled with the vegetable dishes, nor are the prices.

It's worth visiting and trying.

A lovely, cozy location, with good outdoor seating. The food and drinks were excellent. We had gnocchi, the cabbage roll, and the spiced meat. The dishes weren't overly rich and tasted very good. The service was very friendly, quick, and attentive. Highly recommended.

Definitely recommended. Seating is available both indoors and outdoors. Comfortable, clean chairs and interesting decor. Very friendly staff, who are always checking to see if you need anything else. Unfortunately, there were no dedicated bike parking spaces. Most people parked their bikes at the bollard across the street.

A cozy restaurant with friendly staff in the Dutch district of Potsdam

We went to dinner at the "Flying Dutchman" on Friday. The food was excellent. The spiced meat was particularly delicious and brought back many fond childhood memories. The service was attentive and friendly. In short, we were completely satisfied.

I'm writing this review because I was so impressed with our server. We went there three times with a group of 20 people, and by the second day, he already knew everyone's favorite drink. He also took the time to explain everything and accommodate special requests. Even though it was incredibly busy. I would have loved to poach him for my daughter's restaurant ;-)

Very good menu, with truly delicious dishes. Attentive, fast service. Located in the heart of Potsdam's Dutch Quarter. We found it worth every penny. A definite recommendation!

Flying Dutchman💖 If you go to Potsdam, it is recommended that you eat here. It is truly German, their meat is delicious.

The Dutch Quarter in Potsdam is a sight in itself. From the outside, the Flying Dutchman looks like any other restaurant in a Dutch old town. Inside, it's loud, hectic, icky, very wildly decorated, and crowded. The service was excellent, but with so many guests, they could barely keep up with orders and service. The food was really very good, and considering the restaurant's location in a hotspot, the prices are absolutely reasonable. If we lived nearby, we would definitely go back.

We reserved a table online. Despite a set time, we were able to get to the restaurant much earlier without any problems. The menu offering is expandable. Our food was good...Unfortunately, special requests cannot be taken into account. Unfortunately, side dishes such as fries and croquettes are not possible. Friendly welcome, very good service, food was simply delicious. We sat outside on the street, unfortunately there was still a lot of traffic after 7 p.m. We had a lovely sociable evening. If you want to enjoy very good food with great service, this is the right place, a little more expensive but it's very worth it!

We decided to visit this restaurant, without reservation, during our trip to Potsdam cause we had heard many compliments about its local cuisine. Although the restaurant was full, the staff helped us immediately. Everything we ordered was well-cooked and tasteful, more specifically the Wiener Schnitzel was a real surprise. It was probably the best Schnitzel I've ever had!

An all-round successful experience at a good price. Top service! Super organized kitchen. Big tables. Benches with cushions on the walls. A beautiful old house with history. 20 minutes walk from the main train station.

Very nice restaurant, the style of which is perfectly integrated into the Dutch quarter. The service staff are friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Classic cuisine with escapes (to the modern or Mediterranean) and the chefs can cook! Clear recommendation.

It was just ok for a beer outside in the sun. Food looked great. Would be worth another visit.

We ate asparagus with pike perch, which was unfortunately very disappointing. The asparagus was old, the hollandaise sauce tasted like fish and the portion size was meager, with just 5 asparagus spears.

Easter Sunday: Very nice outdoor area. Food was very good. Service very nice and attentive. Despite the large number of guests, everything went very well organized and quickly. Map a bit confusing, as the daily map has several sheets and then the normal map again. We felt very comfortable. Thank you!

Not recommended as a vegetarian or vegan due to the very small selection...and the choice of decoration in the men's room is unfortunately not up to date 😅

Nice restaurant decorated with prints from the 18th century. Good service and good food. If you go during asparagus season, don't miss the opportunity to try them.

Absolutely amazing, both service and food and drinks

The best thing is absolutely the service. The menu is special as a local recommendation with classic dishes and is good to try. I didn't understand that the food was served just after a few minutes. It probably was kept warm. The dishes weren't hot. Too bad. The kitchen would have to improve a bit for the location and the demands including the price level. It's probably still good for tourists. They don't always come back.

The service is very friendly and quick. The food tastes very good, is attractively prepared and has a good portion. I had the crusty roast. It was very good, the sauce was very tasty. My husband had cabbage roulade and was a little unhappy because the minced meat, which tasted good, was not wrapped in white cabbage but in savoy cabbage.

Another feast for the palate... Service and ambience very good. Diverse selection of drinks. Tip: reservation!

Today the service was either only in the kitchen or somewhere else, the cappuccino was cold, the frothed milk had no consistency because it was still too cold. The asparagus was ok to eat, the hollandaise was in a bag, the La Ratte potatoes were fried, so honestly that's what an apprentice in the first year of training does much better, mine were from the day before and only warmed up then you also have to know how to warm it up properly. But the focus here is obviously on the presentation of wines and champagne. All in all, I wonder who wrote the reviews here.

A very attractive restaurant with delicious "home cooking" on the menu - and at reasonable prices. The extremely friendly service is particularly praiseworthy! Reservations are advisable. The only thing that deducts points for “ambience” is the lighting, which is quite bright and somewhat uncomfortable.

During our visit to Potsdam at the beginning of March we stopped there with 8 people. It wasn't very busy that afternoon and we were assigned a table without a reservation. The food was good, the service was friendly, we were completely satisfied. The prices are a bit high, but that is certainly due to the restaurant's location in the Dutch Quarter, which is a tourist attraction.

I thought the prices were too high and the store was closed where others were. Funny. I can't say anything about the food as we ate elsewhere. But it should be good there. Maybe next time.

Un très joli endroit. Dans le vieux quartier hollandais de Potsdam. Tres belle déco. Soignée. Accueil très gentil. Belle carte. Prix dans la moyenne locale. Compter 30€/personne. Verre de vin délicieux mais un peu cher (6,90€ le verre!). Le sandre était très bon. Le cochon aussi. Par contre le wiener schnitzel était franchement immangeable. De la semelle. Du carton. Dommage.

Alles bestens! Wir waren eine größere Gruppe, die aus verschiedenen Gründen - es sollten z. B. zwei Reden gehalten werden, eine etwas ruhigere Atmosphäre benötigten. Nach einer sehr netten Begrüßung wurden wir ins Obergeschoss geführt, wo man einen sehr gemütlichen und von der Größe genau passenden Raum für uns reserviert und schön eingedeckt hatte. Essen und Service ließen keinerlei Wünsche offen! Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant sehr gerne weiter!

Wir hatten ein Klassentreffen. Die Bedienung und die Küche waren super. Da wir einen separaten Raum bestellt hatten, waren wir an einen Mindestumsatz gebunden, was uns leicht zerknirschte, weil uns 5 Personen kurzfristig abgesagt hatten. Trotzem würde ich immer weder hier buchen.

Meatballs were a bit too salty for my liking. Service was great! We were a group of 15 people and they served our food efficiently

We felt completely at home in the Zum Flingeren Holländer restaurant. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed visit. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. We immediately felt in good hands and cared for. The dishes were simply fantastic. From the presentation to the taste, everything was at the highest level. All dishes were beautifully prepared, served hot and, above all, really tasty.

Leckeres Essen. Absolut empfehlenswert. Gute deutsch Küche, Bedienung sehr gastfreundlich, angenehme Atmosphäre.

Unfortunately my burger was nothing.

There were five of us there (grandma and grandson Ages 10 and 13 as well as us - the parents). We had reserved. That was good too, because the restaurant was full. The service initially came quickly and brought the drinks even after the order was placed. However, we didn't receive a children's ticket or anything similar (there aren't any?) We also didn't receive a bread basket like other tables. The food came quickly. However, one of our 4 Wiener Schnitzels was only half the size (at full price). The fact that the schnitzel was on top of the potato salad was annoying and didn't eat that well either. But in itself it was very tasty. The other dish had a bit too many raw onions. Overall, the food is actually very good - however, the uneven portion of schnitzel results in a significant point deduction. The service did the bare minimum. We sat in front of our empty plates for probably 15 minutes. In this price range you should also get an espresso on the house. In summary, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. At least it doesn't stand out in a positive way.

Super! We were there for dinner on Monday evening and really enjoyed it. The host was so friendly and attentive, the food was super fresh and delicious, the portions were huge and not expensive at all. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, you feel comfortable. Another guest expressed the suspicion that the huge schnitzel couldn't be natural, so the host invited him into the kitchen to see for himself the freshness of the home-made meal. Really great!

We had a really nice New Year's reception with our team with you. The location is truly unique and the dessert was heavenly! The arrangement on cake stands is also very stylish. The only small point of criticism - an introduction to the menu would have been great (we didn't know that savory food and dessert were planned and so some of our team missed it) and the speed of service was also very unrhythmic (sometimes we waited a long time for a coffee , everything else happened really quickly).
