Nice place. Good selection of wines. We took solyanka, cabbage roll with potatoes (German version) and pork schnitzel with croquettes, mushroom sauce and salad. Solyanka is interesting, without sausage and with mushrooms, delicious. The cabbage roll is tender, I recommend it. Schnitzel - the meat itself is excellent, I didn’t like the crust, it was too fried. Salad, mushroom sauce, croquettes - excellent. Nice service.

We tried several German restaurants in Berlin and this had the most authentic German food. Enjoyed sitting on the sidewalk on a quiet street with big old trees around the corner from major shopping. Their potato pancakes were to die for. Delicious sauerkraut, red cabbage, goulash, eisbein. This was the real thing.

As a regular restaurant guest, I recently tried this restaurant with my family because I had an appetite for German cuisine and there are always people sitting out here, which is generally a good sign. Unfortunately, the visit was overall disappointing. The waitress was rather unfriendly and short, and clearly didn't have much fun with her job, which was also evident from the conversations at the neighboring tables, where questions and special requests were dealt with rather harshly. The food was also disappointing. The fish fillet dish for €30, which was advertised on a separate page on the menu, simply didn't taste good. The sauce in particular would have been more suitable for meat dishes than fish. Even the basic ingredients such as potatoes and mushrooms were more of a canteen or cafeteria level and seemed like they had just been warmed up. The second dish was the “hearty farmer’s breakfast” for €15. Overall it was okay, but again the main ingredient, potato, wasn't prepared well. Some of the potatoes were mushy, but some were also too hard. Apparently the kitchen is having trouble making fried potatoes really well. The portion overall wasn't particularly large. The waitress didn't fulfill the tea order at all. In the end, service did not respond to our criticisms. It just said you tell “him”. However, there was no further feedback from "him" - we assume this meant the chef and owner. We still gave a little tip out of decency. However, there was no thank you for it, apparently it wasn't necessary. Conclusion: Food in our sample was at canteen/canteen level and too expensive for that. Service unfriendly. Overall, this restaurant seems to focus more on Potsdam tourists ("German cuisine"), who will only be guests once anyway. In any case, you don't get regular customers that way. My friends ate chanterelle soup, which had a lot of flour in it, and they didn't like it either. The only good thing was the fried cabbage. We visited the Linde with a larger group. The dishes were very tasty and the staff were very attentive and friendly. All dishes were on the table at the same time. That doesn't happen so often these days.

Super super nice waitress who thanked us for the tip with the words “That’s nice”. It's also rare that someone can be so sincerely happy/thank you. Clear recommendation!!! Great food here and great beer. The server spoke very little English, but we were still able to get our point across, and they had an English menu, plus our waiter was great overall. You are off the main street so there is less foot traffic all around you while eating, which was also nice. All the dishes we tries were great.

The atmosphere was nice, as was the service. Unfortunately not the food. We had the knuckle and the beef roulade. The knuckle was like rubber and was almost impossible to cut. The fat around it is not crispy at all, but rather a wobbly pile of fat. The roulade was also tough and had a mediocre taste. We wouldn't come back again
