You can only pay with cash here, but it's worth it. Cozy restaurant with several levels. Nice atmosphere, friendly service. Delicious home cooking that is served quickly. It's best to reserve in advance or plan a very early dinner. We had the brawn and schnitzel gratinated with seasoned meat and cheese. Both very tasty.

We tried several German restaurants in Berlin and this had the most authentic German food. Enjoyed sitting on the sidewalk on a quiet street with big old trees around the corner from major shopping. Their potato pancakes were to die for. Delicious sauerkraut, red cabbage, goulash, eisbein. This was the real thing.

Stopped by for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. The restaurant is located right off a busy street with outdoor seating. The portions are generous and the setting is quite calming. And best of all the food was very good.

German restaurant in a somewhat quieter location. We met very nice staff here. Outside the restaurant in the small beer garden on the sidewalk, as usual here, there was good beer and delicious food. Absolutely recommended! Thank you for the great hospitality!

As a regular restaurant guest, I recently tried this restaurant with my family because I had an appetite for German cuisine and there are always people sitting out here, which is generally a good sign. Unfortunately, the visit was overall disappointing. The waitress was rather unfriendly and short, and clearly didn't have much fun with her job, which was also evident from the conversations at the neighboring tables, where questions and special requests were dealt with rather harshly. The food was also disappointing. The fish fillet dish for €30, which was advertised on a separate page on the menu, simply didn't taste good. The sauce in particular would have been more suitable for meat dishes than fish. Even the basic ingredients such as potatoes and mushrooms were more of a canteen or cafeteria level and seemed like they had just been warmed up. The second dish was the “hearty farmer’s breakfast” for €15. Overall it was okay, but again the main ingredient, potato, wasn't prepared well. Some of the potatoes were mushy, but some were also too hard. Apparently the kitchen is having trouble making fried potatoes really well. The portion overall wasn't particularly large. The waitress didn't fulfill the tea order at all. In the end, service did not respond to our criticisms. It just said you tell “him”. However, there was no further feedback from "him" - we assume this meant the chef and owner. We still gave a little tip out of decency. However, there was no thank you for it, apparently it wasn't necessary. Conclusion: Food in our sample was at canteen/canteen level and too expensive for that. Service unfriendly. Overall, this restaurant seems to focus more on Potsdam tourists ("German cuisine"), who will only be guests once anyway. In any case, you don't get regular customers that way. At least I won't be coming back anytime soon. Quality not good enough, prices too high. Have fun with the tourists. There may be a few dishes on the menu that the kitchen does better, but who has the time and leisure to try everything on the menu? In any case, a “classic” and a dish that was prominently featured on the menu were very disappointing.

Very tasty, hearty German cuisine. The knuckle was very soft and the crust was nice and crispy. We also had cordon bleu, stuffed cabbage, chicken schnitzel and salad with chanterelles. All highly recommended.

Payment only in cash. We were a team of four, and we all unanimously agreed that we hadn't eaten such bad food for a long time. The goulash was hard, the "potato dumplings" were dumplings with a very strange structure. The schnitzel was hard and had a tasteless breading. My friends ate chanterelle soup, which had a lot of flour in it, and they didn't like it either. The only good thing was the fried cabbage. I don't recommend this place, it's expensive and tasteless.

Terrible experience. First of all they only accept cash (who knows why). We were given a handwritten receipt on paper. Glasses of very expensive tap water (no bottles were presented to us) The meat is very hard (overcooked) of low quality and the schnitzel is elastic. Service was friendly enough and the side dishes were good. Expensive drinks. I don't recommend.

Hyggeligt sted med rigtig tysk mad. Maden smagte perfekt. Servicen fra betjeningen var til UG. Eneste man skal huske er at de kun tager mod kontanter, men der ligger en bank tæt på.

Excellent food and service. The knuckle was super delicious, pork skin was very tender that it melted in my mouth without any chewing. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone visiting Potsdam.

We visited the Linde with a larger group. The dishes were very tasty and the staff were very attentive and friendly. All dishes were on the table at the same time. That doesn't happen so often these days.

The food was too salty and not so fresh, I was very disappointed. Only cash is accepted.

We were lucky and were able to get a table outside on Saturday evening after the lady in front of us left the restaurant with her child. Very well attended inside and outside. German cuisine from cabbage roulade to pork knuckle to cordon bleu is all there. I had typical seasonal asparagus with hollandaise and parsley potatoes. Super super nice waitress who thanked us for the tip with the words “That’s nice”. It's also rare that someone can be so sincerely happy/thank you. Clear recommendation!!! All in all, a completely successful last evening in Potsdam.

If you've had enough of Italy, Greece etc., the "Linde" is really well stocked with German cuisine, from stuffed cabbage to pork knuckle, it's simply GREAT, always a good recommendation, 15 out of 10 possible stars from us - we'll be back

Great food here and great beer. The server spoke very little English, but we were still able to get our point across, and they had an English menu, plus our waiter was great overall. You are off the main street so there is less foot traffic all around you while eating, which was also nice. All the dishes we tries were great.

In order to be open until 10 o'clock, everything was already packed at 9 o'clock. They made us feel that you should go already. It's not a good attitude. Quite a small amount of price value.

Super delicious German cuisine, very friendly staff.

We had dinner there this evening with our 10 month old baby. We received a very warm welcome and didn't have a reservation but still got a great place. The menu really appealed to us and we decided on the typical home cooking. Service 5 stars and the food 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 highly recommended. Price performance fair. Gladly again.

Correct . Cuisine allemande classique. Central a Potsdam. Cadre agréable. Service efficace et souriant. Prix dans la moyenne. Cuisine pas exceptionnelle mais correct.

Gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung. Kleiner als es aussieht. Wir haben noch so einen Platz bekommen aber waren auch etwas außerhalb der üblichen Zeiten. Reservieren kann nicht schaden.

Hübsches Lokal, nettes Personal. Kohlroulade, leider sehr zerkochte Kohlblätter. Petersiliekartoffeln, hatten auch ein paar grüne Punkte. Gefüllt war der Teller mit einer Industriesauce.

Eran ya las 15:00 horas cuando llegamos al restaurante, nos sentamos en una mesa un poco apretados. Comida variada y rica. (Típica alemana) Recomiendo el rollo de col relleno de carne.

Wir wollten unbedingt was gutbürgerliches, bodenständiges essen. Hausmannskost, was in Potsdam ja doch sehr schwer zu finden ist.. Zur Linde hat die Erwartungen erfüllt....köstlich, große Portionen, guter Preis. Lecker!

Gastronomie auf kleinsten Raum. Tische eng zusammen gestellt macht einen gemütlichen Eindruck. Trotz vollem Hause, immer noch ne Möglichkeit für zwei Plätze. Personal sehr nett, Essen schmeckt und Preise sind im mittleren Niveau. Man muss auch sehen das das Restaurant mitten in Potsdam liegt und damit auch sehr günstig ist. Also Potsdam nicht nur Sanssouci sondern auch zur Linde.

Petit restaurant de cuina alemanya situat en una zona molt cèntrica de la ciutat de Potsdam. L’ambient és força tranquil. Els plats estan ben elaborats i el personal és molt atent. És una llàstima que la publicitat dels preus que mostren a l’exterior de l’establiment sigui enganyosa. Un cop veus la carta a l’interior els preus són més alts del que t’esperaves.
