The food was simply excellent, the service was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back!

We were here for a not so pleasant family event. The extra room was perfect. Appropriately decorated and subtle music in the background. Service was super friendly and very attentive. The goulash soup was really tasty. The canapes were also very tasty and richly topped. Thanks to the whole team. Keep it up.

Very local nice restaurant with a local menu.

This traditional restaurant reminds me of the tradition of former GDR restaurants of treating guests with the minimum of friendliness and mostly without any charm. The sliced ​​veal with asparagus (haha, tiny pieces from the bottom of the stalk) was stored in a sauce that gave the compelling impression that it had been added from a bag. But it was expensive. The schnitzel at the next table showed the unprofessionalism of how it was prepared from afar. When the weather is nice you can sit outside, that's something positive.

Totally delicious food. If you want very good schnitzel with asparagus or other German cuisine, this is the place for you. Top cuisine and nice service!

Four years ago we visited Otto Hiemke twice as part of a vacation in Potsdam. It's so good that we now - also on vacation - rode our bikes from Köpenik to Potsdam to Hiemke. Every kilometer was worth it.

We were traveling as tourists and would have loved to have dinner there. Unfortunately, all the tables outside were full and when we asked, we were told that all the guests had just arrived and there was no service inside. There would have been enough free tables inside. That didn't leave a lasting good impression.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed on our last visit. When we arrived we weren't even greeted and were shown to our table without a word. Unfortunately, this friendly manner of the waitress continued throughout the entire evening. It was very difficult to order something and we sometimes had to go straight to the counter to order a drink. Sometimes we tried for 20 minutes, but at some point we ran out of patience. We sat directly in sight and the waitress had to walk past us every time. So she deliberately looked away. Unfortunately, we can't explain it any other way. And when we did manage to get her attention a few times, she seemed visibly annoyed. When we accidentally swept a glass off the table because it was unfortunately full of old glasses and dishes that hadn't been cleared away for over an hour, she snorted and rolled her eyes. I can certainly understand that everyone has a bad day sometimes, but it's just absurd to take it out on your guests. What was actually a nice evening was unfortunately negatively affected. Unfortunately, the food that day was also rather mediocre. Among other things, we had the gnocchi with wild garlic pesto twice, but we couldn't see or taste any of the pesto. It tasted more like a pale green sauce with cream. No trace of wild garlic. Too bad. Since I was otherwise always satisfied, I'll give the restaurant another chance. Still, it's a shame about the evening.

The normal tourist rarely gets lost here: We have often visited this traditional (family-owned since 1896) location with a beer garden due to its proximity to the Karl Liebknecht Stadium. But it's also worth it for family celebrations: In terms of service, menu and ambience, it's not at all outdated, but as the saying goes: always in tune with the times - our recommendation!

Die Speisen waren eindeutig frisch zubereitet. Dazu eine nette Bewirtung ! Was will man mehr. Es war einfach lecker und rundum ein gelungener Besuch! Immer wieder!

Our first impression when entering the restaurant was very positive. We were spoken to immediately and given a seat. Drinks were served quickly. Because of my allergy to peppers in any form, the service and kitchen went to great lengths, which I have never experienced anywhere else. The food (we were 3 people) was absolutely delicious. The food was great and I can personally only recommend my cheese plate (dessert). We'll be back. Keep it up. Thank you for the lovely evening.

This is THE Babelsberg pub! I have been a customer here for many years and am always satisfied. I like the friendly service, great beer selection and changing menus. It is noticeable that a family of restaurateurs runs their business here with heart and mind. Absolute recommendation.

Living room atmosphere, friendly and fast service. The menu is very clear, a few traditional regional dishes give hope that they will be even better. And yes! Starter and main course are incredibly delicious! Here you know your craft. I can only hope that I end up back in Potsdam in time because I don't want to be here for the last time.

The very best food in Potsdam and the surrounding area. Meat, fish, vegetarian... something for every taste! We could hardly decide, such good dishes on offer. German cuisine at a very high level (even the red cabbage is homemade!). Excellently cooked and seasoned, plus great service! We will definitely come back!

We had booked the restaurant for a funeral service. Even in advance (arrangements) everything was exceptionally precise, courteous and unobtrusive. The celebration itself was organized very lovingly, dignified and mindfully. Apart from the beautiful design of the tables and the very good food, we can only say one thing, even on a sad day for us: Thank you, you made our difficult day easier, also thanks to your wonderful staff!

We had been planning a visit for a while, but somehow it never worked out. But now we've done it. After the entrance door you end up in a very small, narrow guest room, which also contains the bar. We were then placed in the “hall” and forgotten for a while. After that, things went extremely well and the service was also good. Both the currywurst and the veal liver were really good. We will definitely come back.

This was the surprise gem of our wonderful day in Potsdam/Babelsburg. The staff is incredibly lovely and really take the whole experience to another level. The food was delicious and a perfectly nourishing end to the day. The restaurant and patio are delightful for sitting and slowly drinking your beer. Highly recommend a stop here!

Has a good reputation, but in my opinion overrated! We had 2x schnitzel with chanterelles and croquettes (question with fried potatoes > not possible) and 1x Königsberger Klopse with mashed potatoes (question with potatoes > possible!) ok - so far everything was good - in my personal opinion each dish was 5 euros too expensive / quality: schnitzel : big and ok, but slightly salty, chanterelles: overcooked and over-seasoned, also salty! Croquettes: good! Meatballs: ok, also slightly salty, potatoes: 3 pieces / so far good, sauce: honestly a joke - indefinable!!! Drinks are also 2-3 euros too expensive! Waiters quick and attentive! Ambiance is pleasant!

After visiting the concentration camp, we saw very good reviews looking for restaurants in the area. We arrived at the location at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday. We were 4 people. There was no problem eating. We opted for the terrace and after reviewing the menu, we chose several typical dishes. At general levels: 7/10. Homemade food, made at the moment, in a family atmosphere. The attention of the staff is close and friendly. Although we didn't speak English very well, they did their best to understand us. Recommended if you pass through the area.👌

A really great little pub. A real pearl, one might say. At first glance you can't tell what awaits you here. There seem to be a lot of local regulars here and even the rare visitor doesn't miss the charm of this place for long. The service is authentic, interested and very friendly. The same applies to the counter and you feel very welcome in a homely atmosphere. But the best thing is the food. Solid, old-school craftsmanship. The vegetarian component can also be chosen from the small but fine menu of several dishes. And how delicious it was. Really great and an absolute must if you are ever in Potsdam.

Familienfeier, 100. Geburtstag . Hervorragend verliefen schon im Vorfeld die Absprache und Beratung. Am Tag selbst war alles perfekt: Service, Menü und Raumgestaltung. Das Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut (wie immer im Restaurant Hiemke). Wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal und definitiv auch nicht zum letzten Mal hier und kommen immer gerne wieder.

Waren kürzlich dort Abendessen und maximal zufrieden. Die weibliche Bedienung war schnell, fachlich kompetent, vorausschauend und einfach total nett. Das Essen, war lecker. Wir hatten die Ente. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Als "Altbabelsbergerin" liebe ich diese Lokalität über all die vielen Jahre schon! Ich habe hier die letzte "Ostmark" ausgegeben und so manche DM und EURO! Immer eine tolle Karte zu jeder Jahreszeit mit schönen leckeren Gerichten und Getränken! Im Sommer auch schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten mit Bewirtung draußen. Ein wunderbarer Tipp für ein gemütliches Essen in sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne her. Das Essen ist wunderbar frisch und nie langweilig.

Wir gehen eigentlich sehr gerne zu Hiemke. Die Leutchen dort sind supernett, es ist um die Ecke im heimischen Kiez. Vor allem im Sommer sitzt man super draußen und trinkt eine Stange...so weit so gut! Aber gestern war das Essen grad noch so ok. Backhendl Wiener Art und Kürbisstrudel. Das Hendl war wie TK und nicht wirklich lecker. Der Kartoffelsalat war gut. Der Strudel war nicht richtig durch, eher matschig, völlig langweilig, kaum Kürbis. Der Feldsalat war lappig und der Feta, oder eher Hirtenkäse, auch so von der ganz günstigen Variante. Wie schade!!! Das wünsche ich mir definitiv wieder besser! Liebes 💘 Team, vielleicht habt ihr auch Personalmangel... Ich wünsche euch allen wieder genügend Personal und Freude bei der Arbeit die sich dann auch auf dem Teller widerspiegelt!

Absolut partytauglich!!!! Haben am letzten Wochenende eine Jugendweihe bei Hiemke nachgefeiert. Knapp 60 Erwachsene und noch ein paar Kinder. Wir sind rundum zufrieden. Tolle Vorbereitung, super Service und sehr gutes Essen (Buffet). Alles frisch, abwechslungsreich und es wurde auf unseren Hinweis konsequent auf die Trennung von glutenfreiem Essen geachtet. Haben wir so auch noch nie erlebt. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend und danken euch für die unkomplizierte und flexible Organisation. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das Feedback unserer Gäste war durchweg positiv. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
